They both died on impact but I some how survived. I spent months in hospital recovering. Once I was released I was sent to live at the group home, I've been here since. I don't like listening to the other kids talk about their parents because I miss mine dearly, my mom was my best friend. I could have went to live with my Uncle but to be honest he always kind of creeped me out. It's only a matter of time before I turn 18 and they kick me out on the street, this isn't home. Celia hopped up on the washing machine. It seemed that the only time she could ever find peace in this place was when the machines were making loud enough noises to distract her from everything. She hummed a song she had heard on the radio early in the morning. It was only about noon but she was already wanting the day to end. "It's the same shit every day." Celia said with a sigh. Cook and clean, cook and clean, that's all she ever did. She wished that the radio was in the laundry room with her but apparently all hell would break loose if it was moved from the living room. "What a joke." she thought as she tried to remember the words to the song.
Arabella was rather bored and the youngest in the house. She thought it would be nice living here since she'd be with other children who might play with her, but they were all much older, so they hardly ever wanted to play. She walked around the house with her pillow. Kids had teased her at the orphanage because of this, but she felt comforted when holding it. She heard noises in the laundry room and knew Celia was in there and nervously peeked her head around the corner. Maybe Celia could play with her?
Celia saw Arabella's head poke through the door and she smiled. She didn't like many people but she hard sort of a soft spot for Arabella. In a way she reminded Celia of how she used to be when she was younger. Celia hated the way every one would tell her "Everything's going to be okay", they didn't really know if that was true or not so whats the point of saying it but with Arabella she just felt like things would be okay, like there was still some good in the world. To sum it all up, she was a nice kid. "So what do you want for dinner tonight?" Cellia asked as she hopped off the washing machine.
Arabella, thinking it alright now, entered the room and put her finger on her lip as she thought about what she wanted. "Spaghetti?" She said and said nervously, "If that's alright?" It was her favorite food, but she didn't want to anger Celia. Celia was usually nice to her, but she could sometimes get a little scary. It's not like she yelled, but she'd curse every now and then.
"Sure, that's actually a good idea seeing as we have a ton of noodles." Celia tried not to swear around Arabella but some times it just slipped out. She never used to swear before but it became a habit started during the months she spent being upset and angry. Celia yawned, she hadn't sleeped very well the night before due to weird creeking noises in the hallway. She was practically an adult, or atleast she tried to look, act, and talk like one but deep down she was still a kid who needed her mom to comfert her. Though that sort of thing just didn't exist anymore, who she was before didn't exist anymore. For Celia it was frustrating but she had to deal with it that's all she could do keep moving with the eath or jump off of it.
Arabella smiled and suddenly got a little more cheerful. "Thank you," She said happily. Celia must have been a good mood. She was too young to comprehend that it was because she was younger or that Celia really wasn't that scary, but Arabella didn't have very good experience with other children or people in general. So she was quite the timid little thing.
Celia smiled, "No problem" she said as she started pulling clothes out of the dryer and folding them. For the most part it was girls clothing but she always got sort of embaressed when she did Ace's laudry. Celia would never admit it but she thought he was cute. "How lucky are you Arabella to not care about boys." She thought and she smiled and continued folding the laundry. "Hey Arabella. . .do you like it here?" Celia had always kind of wondered what Arabella's opinion on all of this was. She knew she was here because her parent's sucked but she didn't really know the extent of it.
Arabella tilted her head a bit, not sure what Celia meant about boys. Arabella thought for a bit though about Celia's question. "It's better than the orphanage," She said, "You guys are at least nice to me." She said shyly not sure if that was the answer Celia was looking for.
Celia nodded slightly. "Yeah good point at least there's no screaming babies or abusive foster care people here." Celia had made it perfectly clear she would have rather stayed in the system than be adopted by crazy people. You never knew what you were getting with those people most of them were freaks looking to get paid. She had parents, wonderful parents, she didn't need any play-pretend just to get their money parents.

Katie and Ace were linked hand in hand as they walked inside after finishing their yard work. Ace and Katie were more of the gothic styled kids, they didn't talk much but had very dark colored clothes like red, blue, black and sometimes purple. Ace was wearing a black long sleeved shirt with dark blue jeans that were ripped at the knees. Katie was wearing a black thermal long sleeved shirt, a red checkered skirt, and black leggings. "Hello." They said softly.
Celia waved nervously. The whole goth look wasn't new to her or anything there was a gothy girl in one of her classes that she had worked with numerous times. Celia barely ever went to school though. She liked Ace, maybe it was because he was the only boy in the house. That didn't really matter though he was too into his own sister to notice Celia, or so she thought. "We're having speghetti for dinner." She blurted out as she tugged at the bottom of her shirt trying to look busy.
Ace eyed Celia and gave a slight nod. "Spaghetti sounds good." He said, blushing a little as his sister laid her head on his shoulder. It was true that they were close... and a little too close. But they were family so they had to help each other. He ran a hand threw his hair and started down the hall, Katie at his side. "I'm gonna take a shower. I'll be out in ten." He called so the other two girls would know where he was.
Katie followed after him down the hallway and sat at the end of the bed whit her brother went into the bathroom to take his shower. She had thought about going with him but decided that the other two girls would probably think she was screwed up for showering with her brother, even though she didnt like him like that but always felt the need to be with him. ---------- ((just warning you, their really weird XD )) |
"Make sure you put your dirty cloths in the bin." Celia called to Ace as he walked away. She blushed slightly wondering if she should go right up and get his dirty clothes to put them through the wash with the rest of darks or just wait and put them in with the next dark load tomorrow. Celia watched Katie follow him, she wanted to be friends with Katie but she wasn't sure how. "Might as well get all the food together so I can start making the sauce," She said as she walked out into the kitchen.
Ace stripped down but when he heard her say to put his clothes away he grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist and exited the bathroom. He looked at Katie. "You coming in?" He asked. She shook her head, not wanting the girls to think she was weird. So she took his dirty clothes and watched him go back in the bathroom and heard him get in the shower. She took the clothes to the dirty clothes basket and threw them in. She looked at Celia. "Would you like my help?" She asked.
"That would be great actually." Celia said as she smiled. She opened up the refridgerator and took out a few tomatos. "Can you start chopping these up please?" Celia said as she handed Katie a knife and started cutting up little peices of meat to put in the sauce. The meat was left over hamburger from two nights ago. Living in the group home had taught her to be more resourceful. "Once you're done we;ll blend all this stuff up."
Arabella followed Celia into the kitchen and watched as Katie helped. She was too little to help and sat down at the table plopping her pillow on the floor. She grabbed her coloring book and crayons that she had left on the table and began to color. It seemed as if everyone was too busy to play. She sighed as she slowly colored a lion green.
OnYeen stared at the building she was now sent to to be her home for a short time. She sighed and walked up to the door and knocked wondering if she should have just walked in or not but being in the mental hospital so long made it a little dificult to remember her manners. She then starting thinking about what kind of people would be on the otehr side of the door. She was a gothic emo type of girl and hated being jugded. Her outfit basically looked like a more gothic Alice in Wonderland outfit. She only had a stuffed rabbit with her that kept her company. Her mother had made it for her when she was only a baby. It was all she really had besides her mothers old locket.
((I hope that wasn't to long )) |
Celia took out a pan and poured water into it then placed it on the stove. Boiling water was a tedious task she wasn't really a fan of but she had to do it because hard noodles were gross. "Arabella when Katie and I are done cooking you'll have to put your coloring book away. There isn't enough room on the table for all of our glasses and plates and your coloring book." Celia said softly trying to come off in the least demanding way possible. It started to get warm in the kitchen with the stove on so Celia tied her hair up with the red ribbon she keeped around her wrist. She didn't really like how she looked with her hair up but she hated being hot and getting sweaty to the point she'd over shower from time to time.
Edit Celia heard a knock on the door and rushed to answer it. The house superviser should have been there to answer but she didn't really live there she just dropped by from time to time. Celia had been in the group home the longest so she had taken charge of everything. "Hello?" Celia said with a questioning tone as she saw the girl who was around her age standing at the door. |
Katie finished chopping the vegetables and looked at Arabella. The girl looked about thirteen, and deathly bored. "If you want me and you could play a game." She said to her with a small smile. She kneeled on the ground and looked at the pictures, there was a green lion. She ran a hand threw her dark hair and wondered when Ace was coming out of the shower. "Wanna go outside? Its pretty out." She said softly.
Ace came out of his and Katies room dressed in dark skinny jeans, a white button up long sleeved shirt that the top three buttons were undone, then a black tie. He looked at Celia. "Need help?" |
Celia looked at Ace and then looked at the gril. She didn't want to miss her chance to talk to him so she said "Please come in." and opened the door wider for the girl. She remembered the notice she had read about a new girl coming to live there but had forgotten today was the day. She walked back over to Ace and smiled. Celia's face turned a deep red and she nodded. "Katie was helping me but she went to go play with Arabella." Celia looked around the Kitchen for something Ace could do. "Everything pretty much almost done, could you please set the table?" She asked shyly trying not to come off in any way that would be unappealing to him. She tugged nervously at the bottom of her shirt and stirred the sauce in with the noodles.
OnYeen did not smile but bowed and replied,"Hello, I am OnYeen Sara Rhapsody. I am supposed to live here now." She examined the girl and wondered, Hmmm I wonder if she has made a first impression of me yet...this will be interesting. The others, if there are any, will be interesting to meet I hope...I hope I'm at the right address...., all tghe thoughts ran through her head and back out again as she waited for the girl's response. After hearing it she walked in and looked around.
Ace looked at OnYeen and waved. "Hi, I'm Ace and thats my twin, Katie." He said, pointing to Katie. He started to set the table, adding another plate. "If you'd like I can help you with your bags." He said, then looked at Celia. "Shes staying in your room right?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her and then looking at his sister who was talking to Arabella.
Katie noticed the new girl and waved, then stood up from the floor, leaning against the table. |
OnYeen looked down at her stuffed bunny toy and her crystal locket then looked back at Ace,"Pleasure to meet you and you're twin. I am OnYeen Sara Rhapsody and...this is all I own." She was glad she was at the right house but was worried that they would think she was such a low class girl. As I said before she hates being judged but she was ready for it.
