The Characters
Lead SingerX
Name: Alex Carver Gender: Male. Heterosexual, but you never know. Age: Eighteen (18) Appearance: [X] Personality: Alex is a typical older teenage boy who refuses to grow up, grunged up to the core. He is bit too laid back at times, verging on lazy, but is also determined when it comes to getting what he wants. And, though he is friendly enough and gets along fine with others, has a slight ego problem, him seeing himself as hot stuff and thinking he's entitled to things he's not. He loves chasing the dream of being famous and having tons of beautiful women being thrown on him, and loathes anything that stands in his way. Background: Alex grew up in a normal family of a mother and father. His mother is a realtor, a real business woman, who would always scold him for his messy room or wild boyish antics. His father is a cop, who doesn't really know what to do with his son and really just lets him do his own thing. Alex has always had a love for music, and when he was twelve, began singing in church choirs, parties, or what have you: just anything that gave an excuse to sing. Then, as he grew older, he found it embarrassing to sing, so he stopped. It was only then that he was introduced to current rock bands. Punk rock bands like the Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones, and Rise Against. He was instantly inspired and before long, got his close group of buddies together to form a rock band, him declaring himself as the lead singer. Now, he and his friends often play gigs around town and practice in his parent's garage. However, sometimes he is kicked out of his house, cursory of his parents, and is forced to move the 'garage band' to someone else's garage... Other: Nothing. Played By: Rude
Lead GuitaristX
Name: Lee Jun Johnson Gender: Male Age: 17, should be turning 18 on January 1st Appearance:This is pretty much me. Personality: Lee is your average guy minus the fact that he, well, plays the guitar well and reads romance novels during his spare time. He's also cheerful and likes it when situations are light. Sometimes, too, he often lends his ears to troubled youths and would prefer to listen than to talk. He may not necessarily give out the smartest or the wisest suggestions but that just adds up to his charm. One thing's real unique about him: he's never nonchalant even though he appears to be sometimes and wears an almost formal attire almost every single day. Background: Lee grew up in the city, in a slightly above average social standing family. He's a product of Asian and Western ethnicity and he mostly retained an Asian personality by preference. Growing up with his said formidable family, one shouldn't really be surprised by his slightly repressed nature. His choice of words are carefully selected, he's meek and secretive about his personal life even to those whom he's close to, and he doesn't really enjoy sharing skin to skin contact with anyone, not even to his own kin to show some brotherhood love. Though this may somehow make him appear stuck-up to most people, he respects their opinion and would not bother trying to change their opinions of him. He believed, after all, in people changing and that included people's views on certain people or on certain sections of life.
As for how he got into the band, it was all thanks to his mother. Since Carver's mom was a realtor, he met him by chance when his mother was out with his mother and somehow, the topic diverted off to music. When he knew about Carver's plan about forming a rock band, he offered to take the part of the Lead Guitarist and usually work hand-in-hand with him when he made new songs. The only other reason he wanted to be in the band was because he wanted to hear Carver sing. Carver did have a great voice. At least, that was what Lee thought. Other: Lee's never seen without a case of menthol candy. He's not addicted to it; it just helps ease the jitters he got when it's the band's time on-stage. If he's not performing with the band, he'd sometimes use it so his tongue has something to play with in his mouth. Played By: harakun
Rhythm GuitaristX
Name: Nicholas Allen Fuerst || Nicker, Nicky, Nick, and NAF Gender: Male, straight Age: Nineteen Appearance:Nicholas Allen Fuerst has deep brown hair and golden-green eyes. He stands about five feet eleven at a pathetic one hundred and twenty-five pounds. Personality: Unlike the typical college boy, Nick steers clear of drugs, drinking, and sex. With his insane career choice, he hasn't time for that stuff especially since he's in a band. His time management skills are off the charts and his ability to be productive under stress is simply amazing. He calculates everything and is the guy most people pick on as he tends to fall on the nerdy side of the "cool scale." Intelligent, clean cut, sensitive, and soft spoken, this cheesy punk rocker is just too adorable for his own good. But don't be fooled by him as there's a bad boy within this charmer. Background: Nick had a completely normal childhood. His mother raised him up until his father was downsized. Forced to work as she had the college degree, the roles of the house flipped and so did Nick's world. Oddly attached to his mother and now without her, Nick's high school years were rough. He was a loner and an outcast. The only thing that saved face was his ability to act and play guitar. He never saw himself as anything great, so he avoided music and acting. Taking AP and college courses both his junior and senior year of high school, Nick surprisingly ran into Alex Carver and the rest of his now fellow band mates.
Nonetheless, Nick and his younger sister worked their behinds off to keep atop in school. His sister is a gamer girl and, although they don't always get along, they need each other to get by. However, when Nick was avoiding his sister, he was with his life long BFF Zane Erikson. The two met each other at a rip young age and had been friends since then. Zane was more or less Nick's key into the band. The troublesome two (Zane's the trouble marker who is kept in check by Nick) are attending college together and just so happen to be roommates. Bromance tends happens from time to time, but with their history, it's only natural.
His father, Allen K. Fuerst, was a maintenance manager, but currently is a stay at home father who assists his brother with the family farm. Annalynn Fuest, his mother, is now employed as a public relations coordinator although her college degree is chemical engineering. Prior to working away from home, she was a babysitter for the neighboring children. His seventeen-year-old sister, Nichole (Nikki) A. Fuest, is a senior in high school and is the top chess player for the school's chess team. Other: He's currently in college with a major in Biomedical Engineering geared toward Forensic Science. Played By: Wavikz
Bass GuitaristX
Name: Lars D. Langley Gender: Male Age: 18
Appearance: Loving The Dark Side Personality: Lars is a complete oddball. He doesn't talk much and usually likes to keep to himself, usually only speaking when necessary. The only thing he seems to be interested in his music, it really being the only time he comes out of his shell and does something. Most people tend to get a creepy impression of him, Lars not being a social guy in the least, often seeming weird to others if not just plain awkward. But, Lars is by no means insecure. In fact, he's very comfortable in being the oddball of the town and doesn't seem to pay much mind to people and what they think anymore, only glad to be able to play music in a band full of people almost as strange as him. Background: Lars grew up with a single-parent mom, his dad having abandoned the family when he was mistakenly born. Being born an accident, Lars grew up having trouble accepting himself and really fitting in with anyone. His mom was a nurse and by no means a wealthy woman, them often financially struggling at times, but even so Lars found music as an outlet to his misfit ways, it really seeming like the only thing that understood him. Then, he met Alex Carver. The next thing he knew he was in a band playing bass guitar. The people of the town apparently saw this as appropriate, accepting him more when he stated that he was in a band. It seemed that it was an unintentional explanation for his weird ways. But he didn't mind. He was just glad the band had accepted him and was more than overjoyed when he found out he'd actually be getting paid to play music, the only thing he ever wanted anything to do with. Other: Lars has somewhat of an obsession with reptiles, him owning a snake and a lizard, which both live in his room. Played By: Luc
DrummerX
Name: Zane "Z" Erikson Gender: Male Sexual preference: Either Age: 19 Appearance:Zane - Zane is rather small for his age, standing at a tiny 5'7", and weighing at around 118 pounds. He has rather bright blue eyes, and black hair, which he tends to spike in random directions when it strikes his fancy.
Personality: Zane, while quite nice to those he knows, would appear cold to others. This is mostly due to his tendency to not say much around people he doesn't know, and even more so in public. However, give him anything with caffeen, sugar, or alcohal, and all that goes right out the window. In all actuallity, Zane loves anything loud, crazy, and fast paced, no matter what the time. Background: Zane had always been a bit of a loner when he was younger, tending to stick with his friend Nicholas and his younger sister, seeing as they had known each other from a very young age. His mother had died when he was very young so he doesn't remember much about her, and his father was always working, so he had never spent much time with his parents. In school, Zane had never been one of the popular kids, per say, but he knew everyone and they knew him. It was actually because of Nicholas that Zane picked up the drums. When his BFF discovered his talent at guitar, Zane was determined to not be left in the dust, only to find that he couldn't carry a tune with ANYTHING that used actual notes, though he found that he loved playing the drums. His first kit was a gift from Nick and Nikki, when he turned 15.
Now a college student, Zane is studying in Engineering, hoping to get a job in welding at some point in the future. He managed to get Nicholas as his roommate, which he is rather grateful for. Though there is the ocasional bromance between the two, their relationship as friends never seems to get akward.
Other: He has a fascination with fire, and always carries his drum sticks around with him. He has a habbit of tapping out random rhythms, whether it's with his sticks or hands, whenever he gets bored. Played By: Cloaked Hatter.

It was mid-day. Saturday. Alex had just woken up, of course, despite it being around noon. He sat lazily on the beaten and torn couch his parents had thrown in the garage, a place Alex had claimed as his own for the sole purpose of musical inspiration. Thin and somewhat torn posters of different rock bands and other such things of interest lined the cold garage wall, instruments of all kinds spread about the area. He had Zane's drum set put in the garage for convenience's sake, but by no means did he own it. Of course, that didn't mean that he wouldn't hop on and play a drum solo every now and again, not that the drums were his specialty in the least.
No, Alex's specialty was singing, very much priding himself on his voice sounding a bit of a cross between a less accented Michael Diamond and lower-pitched Axl Rose, both famous band lead singers being a sort of inspiration to him. Of course his love for music allowed him to play things such as the piano and guitar as well, but he had friends that were far more experienced in the instrumental field than he. And it worked out perfectly, because together, they made one kickass band. Or at least he thought so.
The actual band, classically titled The Undead Filth Worms, had been together for about two years now and had grown somewhat closer over such a time, Alex already having been decent friends with most of them before. But today, Alex wanted to practice their new song, titled Western Spaghetti Bloodball Massacre, yet another anti-authoritarian promoting tune. But, of course, he'd have to wait on his garage band mates to get here first, the song having just come out of the reaches of his mind. He'd definitely need Lee's help with the lyrics too. Or at least his opinion. And maybe Nick's too. But, that wouldn't be until AFTER they showed up. IF they were even going to. Sure, they were the more responsible ones in the band, but Alex wouldn't put them past ditching either. He grunted a bit with the thought. Well, all he could do was wait. Sure he could call, but he didn't want to sound pushy. Or worse: desperate.
And thus, the lazy teen continued to lazily recline on the filthy couch, now beginning to recite new lyrics and form new ideas of future songs as he awaited his band members to show.
(Let's just assume that my post came after harakun's. Makes things much easier.)
Zane walked leisurely up the sidewalk towards Alex's driveway, taking as much time as he wanted. He wasn't in any hurry to get over to the younger boy's house. After all, after knowing someone for about two years, you tend to learn how late they sleep on weekends. Alex tended to stay in dreamland till around mid-day, every Saturday for the last two years, without fail. Even if they had managed to land a gig on a saturday, he almost seemed intent to keep his schedule.
Finally reaching the garage where he knew the band's singer would most likely be, he stared at the door for a moment. After contemplating what to do, he lifted his fist and pounded as hard as he could a few times.
"Yo, Alex! I don't care if you're asleep, open up the door!" He figured, if the pounding didn't work, yelling would. Plus, he really wanted to try out a new drum solo he had come up with, and wanted to show anyone he could. And seeing as his kit was in this very garage, he needed to get in to do that.

A rather sleek black car pulled up to park by the Carver residence. He had been informed about a certain new song Alex had just finished and he knew pretty much that a practice like this was going to be called out. Their gig, after all, isn't very far away. Well, he hadn't told them yet that they were booked at a certain bar of his friend's that just opened up about a week ago and somehow, someway, Lee had offered to play with his band.
That is, if Alex and the rest of the band would want to as The Undead Filth Worms.
Opening the door to his side, the male got out of his car, shut the door and locked it up. He was currently dressed in one of his many semi-formal attires, yet again, and had on a dark blue dress shirt with white, horizontal stripes over it tucked into his black slacks with the usual buckle holding the said slacks together. His shirt was buttoned up decently with a black vest over it and the sleeves were rolled up to reveal his forearms. Moving over to his trunk, the male pulled out his guitar before he'd found himself walking over to Alex's place - specifically to Alex's garage.
"Somehow, you look much like a lazy ass to me on the couch right now. I'll bet you didn't even go through the week like you planned to." Lee started when he'd seen Alex's position on the couch, "I got us a gig at Midnight Blue in about a week or two. My friend says I just have to inform him when we could be ready."
Putting his guitar down by the wall, he went to find for his speakers and the others' speakers. It'd save them time if he did find them after all. One. Two. He frowned a bit when he didn't find the other two. "I think we lost two of our speakers again," he said with a look of amusement as he carried the speakers out and seated himself on one of them. He set up his guitar with the two and tested them if they were working before he'd glanced back at Alex again.
"Where are the other three?" he asked as he strummed a few notes from one of their old music, Bloodhound Finish. This music, if he remembered right was inspired by that movie whose theme was of betrayal and romance.
Alex had almost dozed off, again, when he heard a familiar voice scolding him on his languish ways as usual. He opened one eye, peering at the young band's lead guitarist, Lee Johnson, who had somehow snuck up on him. Alex couldn't help but smile at his Asian-American band mate's scoldings, it all being rather humorous to him, Alex almost priding on the fact that he was a lazy ass. They were two totally different people, Lee and him, but Alex had come to like Lee over the years. He was a decent guy. A little up-tight, but decent. But more importantly, he was a kickass guitarist. Not that you'd know it by looking at him. He seemed like such a clean-cut guy, much like their other certain band mate.
"Midnight Blue?" Alex repeated, now sitting up on the couch, reaching for a pack of cigarettes from underneath the worn and torn couch cushions, taking out a crumpled one shortly after. "That old bar?" Well, it wasn't like it'd be the first time they'd played in a bar. Plus, things had been sort of slow lately, and he was really just glad to take anything he could get to put some cash in his wallet. Not that he'd ever voice such a thing to Lee himself. "I guess it really does pay to know people." A match box setting on the mini-fridge, Alex pulled a match stroked it against said mini-fridge and lit up, taking in a long drag before blowing it out. In all honesty, this small town bullshit was starting to irk him somewhat. It was the same damn thing every week, playing gigs every now and again for cash they'd blow away in a matter of days. He wanted to move on to bigger things. But maybe that was just dreaming. "A week or two, huh...?" He muddled to himself in thought. It seemed they'd have to consult with the other band members first, to see when was good for them.
He looked back to Lee when he spoke to him, snapping him from such thoughts. "Hell if I know." He shrugged. "Maybe Nick or Zane took them." Man... was this guy setting up already? Jeez, he really was a workaholic, even when it came to garage band junk. Alex only continued to sit there, blowing out another breeze of smoke. When Lee questioned him on where the others were, only then did they hear loud banging on the garage door. Alex only smiled after hearing a few angry yells, knowing very well who it was. "Well, looks like we found one already." He said. "The garage's open, Z! Get in here already!" He yelled, too lazy to get up to open it himself. Hell, it was hardly ever locked anyway. His parents made him lock it at night, but other than that, it was pretty much like a cluttered, abandoned and very tiny warehouse.
Zane blinked for a moment after hearing Alex's reply. He looked down at the doorknob, actually trying it this time. To his utter surprise, it turned. He smiled brightly, walking into the garage.
"Well, would you look at that, so it is! You know, I never even thought to try to handle. Most of the time Nick gets to the door first, but I have no idea where he is." He looked around to see Alex sitting on the couch, smoking, and Lee setting up the guitars. "Oh, hey Lee. I didn't know you were here, too. Wow, I'm really unobservant this morning." He laughed, smiling brighter. Maybe having those frosted flakes for breakfast had been a bad idea. Oh well, it was Nick's fault. Normally the other boy was there to make sure he didn't have any sugary substances before noon. Hopefully the other guys wouldn't notice... Too much.
"So, what're we doing today?" he asked, almost bouncing as he walked over to the couch and flopped down on the opposite end from Alex. His leg started bouncing, and he started tapping out some rhythm with his hands that he must have heard in a song earlier.
"Yes," he replied, "That's what I just said." His lips pulled up into a line at the sight of Alex pulling out a pack of cigarettes from underneath the cushions but he dared not tell him off of it. It's not that he didn't know the importance of it in people's life but Lee supposed he just didn't like it. He didn't like having to see any of his friends ruin their health just because of such a measly thing. Lee didn't think it was worth it, really.
When he'd heard the other's next question and statement, all he could offer was a small smile. "And if I heard right, he told me that that producer of AMX records will be there by next week Thursday." The male strummed again as he tuned out his guitar. If there was one thing he did love doing, it was making music. He loved making music with his guitar with that beautiful voice of Alex. Add in Zane's insane drumming skills, Lar's bass and Nick being their rhythm guitarist making everything sound like it made sense, their music was perfect. The music that their band makes is perfect. "We might even be lucky to do a gig at my uncle's place that'll be opening uptown in two months time."
Lee nodded towards Zane's way when he'd joined them and he chuckled lightly at the other's words. "You sound like his lackey," the male joked as he stopped his strumming and rested his elbow on his guitar. The other one simply held his weight as he put it down, a little bit on the edge of the speaker. Noting how Zane seemed to be a little more than bouncy, he smiled in amusement and replied for Alex while he enjoyed his cigarette. The smell was really starting to get to him but he decided not to tell the other off. He'd probably just brush it aside like how he had chided him on being a lazy ass. To think, too, that the other seemed to like that. Did it really sound like he was praising him?
"To hopefully create some music with Alex's new song," he said with another one of his gentle smiles, "Do you have any new drumming skills you were wanting to show off, by the way, Zane?" Lee knew. It wasn't hard to tell; after all, it's somewhat become a habit. "And, do you need any help bringing your drum set out?"
[IMGRIGHT]http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs47/f/2009/172/5/6/565e51d5f3a06248b14e6d91d0f1f4d5.jpg[/IMGRIGHT]It was late, he knew it, but there was nothing Nick could do about it. He promised his now red-haired sister he would stop by and help her pick out a new puppy.
With all their wagging tails and innocent eyes, Nick was torn between several of the dogs. "Black? White? Orange... orange? Damn, I must be losing my mind." Her laughter followed. "I honestly want the one that you love. I've missed you so much that I need a dog to fill the void you've left in my heart. So, which one looks like you?" Resting her head on Nick's shoulder, Nikki Fuerst looked down the walkway that led to yet another room full of cages. "This is hopeless! I'll never find a replacement!" Hands flailing, Nikki dropped to her knees to begin her drama for the day.
"Oh stop. We'll find my replacement. Wait. WHAT! You're replacing me with a dog?" Poking her forehead, Nick swatted down beside his sister. "Listen Nini, you can't replace me. I'm one of a kind. I'm also dead...." he said with widening eyes. "The guys are going to kill me for being late."
Standing to help her up, Nick's eyes caught a brief glimpse of the only pup in the area that wasn't barking like a possessed fool. Mouth ajar, he slowly approached the cage. "This one," he whispered sweetly. "I like him."
Nicholas left the area and returned with the owner. "Yes, please. This one." When the cage was opened, Nick's eyes lit up. "You're definitely coming with me." Indicating to Nikki to pull out his credit card from his rear pocket, Nick walked to the front of the shelter. "Whatcha gonna name him, Nini?"
"Nicholas. Duh." Blushing as the German Shepard pup licked her nose, she anticipated the moment the dog would officially be hers. Signing here and then there, the grin on her face just continued to grow. Finally, Nicholas the dog, was her property.
Piling into his car, the two began the long hall trip to Alex's place. So what if Nikki tagged along, Nicholas was always bringing her. She was one of a few people he could trust. Besides, she always knew how to put him in a good mood.
When the two arrived at Alex's house, Nick frowned. "Yeah... definitely late. Oh well. He can kick me out. Not like a need to be 'famous.'" Assisting Nikki, the brunette strolled up to the front door. Rapping lightly, he turned the knob to let himself in. Pup wandering in first, his green eyes followed. "This way, mini me."
Maneuvering past the clutter that Alex had placed about, Nicholas Fuerst was finally amongst the guys. "Put that out. Zane, drink 24 ounces of water, now. Lee, stand up straight." Walking over, he plucked the cigarette from Alex's mouth. "Do you want to kill me? You know I'm allergic to smoke." Rolling his eyes, he shoved a bottle of water into his best friend's hands. "Drink it all. It'll help push the sugar from your system. Also, you're warm. We need to cuddle more often. And your bed is ten times better than mine. I'm sleeping with you from here on out, Zaneykins." Winking, the brunette ruffled Zane's hair.
As his glasses slid down his nose, Nick pivoted on his heels to point to the dog. "Oh, by the way, this is mini me. Nini got lonely so I bought her a dog version of me. Anyways, Nini, you can take my car. I'll be driving Zane's back. I don't trust him with his car."
A long exhale followed as he waved his sister off. "So, what are we practicing today, punks?"
Zane was about to reply to Lee's question when Nicholas walked in, ordering him to drink and handing him a bottle of water. Getting his hair ruffled, he scowled and tried to flatten his hair to no avail. He was having a major bad hair day, and losing his gel the previous day hadn't helped. When he finally took a swig of the water, he heard Nick saying that they were going to take his car, and his sister could take his roommate's.
"Actually, Nick darling, I walked today. I was at least somewhat responsible, and knew you wouldn't want me driving as hyper as I was. Still am. Whatever." He smiled again, taking another drink from the bottle in his hand. "Oh, and I totally don't mind sharing my bed, it's too cold all by myself anyways." He smirked as he said this, knowing that the others in the room were used to them by now.
Just then the puppy walked over, sniffing at Zane's feet. He picked up the pup, looking into it's eyes, and smiled. "Hey, Nikki, if this is a replacement for your brother, does that mean that I get to keep the human Nick for good?" he asked, smiling in that oh, so innocent way - like anyone's going to believe that.

Nicholas Fuerst. It wasn't hard to tell it was their rather obsessive compulsive friend who'd started barking out orders the moment he'd stepped in the garage. Especially, too, when Lee was told to stand up straight when he was seated down. It only made him blink and chuckle before he'd smiled at the sight of the other plucking that cigarette out from Alex's mouth. Getting up from where he was seated to put his guitar aside, the male walked on over to Nicholas' side, plucked the cigarette from him and smiled. "I'll take this for you; wouldn't want you to be breaking off into a rash," he said before he'd taken something metallic from his pocket: his lighter.
Crushing the end of the cigarette onto the surface, the male brushed off some of the black stuff the cigarette left on his lighter before he'd slipped it back into his pocket. It didn't leave a mark as he'd expected. After all, he's made it fire proof. As for the crushed cigarette, he went out for a moment to throw it into the garbage bin outside before he'd returned back inside. It was only then when he'd heard what else Nicholas had said to the brunette and the retort their drummer gave. Something about sleeping with him and something with cold beds.
It really was strange how these two could share skinship so easily while he, on the other had, would probably freeze up if someone tried to hug him. He'd never really had a close friend do that and he was glad of it. As for his family members, the western side were well aware of their not wanting to touch anyone so they practiced it when they were with them.
The dog surprised him and he smiled at the sight of it with Nikki. Of course, he gave a little wave to Nikki as a greeting and then turned his attention back to the other three. Now, they just needed their Bassist. He idly looked outside only to see his and Nicholas' car in the drive way and then went back to sit on the speaker he had been sitting on a while ago. Taking out his book, he turned it to the page he'd left reading from and crossed one leg over the other before leaning back on the wall to relax and read. Of course, he listened in on to the conversation of the three; he never was one to never be fully observant after all.
Not ever having anything better to do, Lars had spent the last hour making his way to the other side of town to where Alex Carver lived, carrying his prized bass guitar on his back. He remembered Alex saying something about a band get together today, which wasn't uncommon on weekends. He wondered if they had any upcoming gigs. He would have made it there before the other band members, but seeing as how he even still didn't have a car and didn't want to use money for a bus, he was forced to walk. Not that he minded walking. In fact, it was actually kind of nice to get out and feel the summer breeze, even if it was a bit hot, especially with the dark clothes he chose to wear.
Finally, he had made it to his destination: Alex's garage. He was in-shape from walking everywhere in not having a car and had taken his time at that, so he wasn't sweating or panting when he arrived, though he was a little hot still from the summer heat. Still, he had an appearance to keep up and kept his leather jacket on.
He didn't bother knocking, Lars simply doing what everyone else did and opened the garage door only to find the rest of the band already there in the garage. Alex, Lee, Zane, and Luke. All there. He just stood there and starred at the lot of them for a moment. "Hey." He let out simply before closing the door and making his way to where he knew the amps to be. He was ready to get down to business. Music had become his life, and he coulden't wait to see the final product on their newest song.
Alex simply sat and watched, idly puffing on his cigarette as Zane and Lee began conversing with each other, Lee telling him the supposed plan for today before asking if he needed any help setting up. Alex, on the other hand, was already good to go, his voice being his musical instrument of choice. That's why he liked smoking so much. It gave a sort of raspy sound to his sharp, clean voice, he thought. But perhaps that was all in his imagination as well.
But, before he knew it, his beloved cigarette had all but been plucked from his mouth, the lead singer only left sitting there, blinking as it was apparent their rhythm guitarist had arrived. "Nick. Glad you decided show up." He greeted lazily, annoyed by the fact that his cigarette was now gone, it now being disposed by Lee, but also glad that Nick bothered to show up at all. He did have a tight schedule, after all. But it seemed Nick wasn't alone in coming, him apparently having brought Nikki, his sister, and some random dog. Alex couldn't help but smile at the small German Shepard pup. "Sweet. He can be our mascot." He said, already visualizing them practicing with and taking the pup with them to gigs and such. But that was before Nick mentioned that the dog was Nikki's and his apparent 'replacement'. It was a bit of a letdown, but Alex was soon enough over it. Especially if it got Nikki off his case and actually let Nick come to practice.
He couldn't help but roll his eyes with the light banter Zane and Nick then presented, something about sleeping in the same bed and cuddling more often? In any other circumstance, he'd consider it completely and absolutely gay. But, having known both Nick and Zane for a while now, he was wiser to think otherwise now. They were practically brothers, they were so close. Nothing gay about that. ...Supposedly.
Now all they needed was their bass player. Lars Langley wasn't exactly the most normal guy in the world, but then again, who was in their band? They all seemed to be a sort of misfitted people, but Lars was probably the king of all misfits. He was odd alright, but Alex had come to like and respect him over the years. He was quiet and only spoke when he had something important to say, which Alex liked. And, of course, he was a wicked bass player.
When Lars actually did finally arrive, the last to do so, Alex smiled. Finally. They could begin. How Alex worked was almost on a bipolar level. At times, he could be the laziest person in the world. But then, when it was time to take action, he wasted no time in doing so. Now was when he stood from his seated position on the couch, ready to take command as the 'ring leader' of sorts.
"Alright, listen up, guys." He announced, ready to get everyone on track. "Lee hooked us up with a gig at Midnight Blue. A big producer guy's gonna be there." He recited Lee's information with his own words. "The gig's on Thursday. We got less than a week to get our shit together, then we're gonna blow their minds with what we got. Which means we've gotta to practice our asses off big time. Especially if we're gonna be playing Bloodball Massacre." He decided to keep Lee's information about his uncle under the rug, just between him and Lee for now, only wanting to take one step at a time. "So then..." He said, finished, looking to everyone. "Everyone good with that?"
Nikki took a seat on the floor. Her mess of red hair flopped into her face, masking her brilliant eyes. To her, there was really no point in stealing her brother's car. She'd just hitch a ride with him back home later. She was more than happy to take that option. After all, she loved sending time with her brother. Granted, there were others here to interrupt the time, but at least she could be near him. Ever since the male went to college, Nikki began to realize she had taken him for granted.
While she sat on the floor, she messed with Nicholas' fur and decided to brush him out. His deep black fur rippled every time the brush hit it. It was truly a sight to see. The dog was lean, but he was will toned. Truly a work of art. Looking from the door to her brother, Nikki smiled. The two were comparable. Nick was slender, but toned as was the dog. The two also had similar shading. Well, they both had brown on them. Giving the pup the kissy face, she went back to ignoring the guys.
The brother, Nick, smiled down at her and then his attention drifted over to the singer. "Heh, you know me. I'm busy with other things. College isn't easy and all. Plus I have to see Nikki. I can't function without my other half." Rather than looking at her, the male shoved his hands in his pockets and have a bashful grin. Nick was obviously teasing her, hoping she would comment on a question Zane brought up earlier.
Exhaling, Nikki shook her face. Nose wrinkling and head turning to Zane, she spoke in a surprisingly bitter tone. "Speaking of other half, no Zane, you cannot have my brother. He's mine. I call both Nickers! Teeheehee, I'm so greedy!" Nikki poked her tongue out at the guy before she pulled out her DS. This band thing was really no business of hers. So, to pass the time, she figured she would play her SoulSilver. It was better than nothing. Besides, the puppy had fallen asleep on her thigh. It was an adorable sight to see, so Nikki opted to let the pooch sleep. To have a final comment, she added, "Imma catch me some pokemanz!"
Nicholas Fuerst rolled his eyes before walking over to Zane. His sister was an odd one. But hell, at least it was Pokemon. The past few weeks it had been Black Ops, Halo: Reach, and Red Dead Redemption.
"Don't tell her, but you have me. Babe, I'm all yours." Winking, the rhythm guitarist walked over to his tool and strummed it a few times. Pushing his brunette hair out of his face, Nick looked over at Alex and then Lee. "Eh, let's get this over and done with. The sooner we get good, the sooner Zaney-poo and I can hit up the movies. We have a date tonight with some ladies."
It was a bluff, but Nick hated spending his weekend with the guys. He really needed to work on his social life. More specifically, his love life. He wasn't really the type of guy to be seen with a woman. The only girl in his life was his beloved sister, who he was trying to get Zane to date. He knew the two were ideal for one another. In fact, a while back, the two were close to dating, but that fell apart when Nikki got herself some stud boyfriend. Needless to say, that fling didn't last. Nikki was back on the market and Nick planned on having the two be dates for the night. Only issue was, Nick was dateless, and there was nothing worse than being a third wheel.

Reason: I was told it sucked. If I have to edit this again, I'm going to drop this. I don't like being told me posts suck....
The sound of the garage door opening had Lee guessing that would be Lars. When he spoke, he smiled mostly to himself before tearing his gaze from his book. "Hey," he replied, nodding in additional greeting before he'd watched him prepare his bass. It reminded him about his own guitar that was currently by the wall, just a little beside him. "You really don't wait 'til the last minute, do you Lars?" Like Alex, he respected all of them. They were all great in their specific field - instruments and microphone.
The male smiled a bit in amusement and then shut his book just as Alex had gotten up from his couch. Honestly, the male had been waiting for Alex to do that. It just meant that things were going to get started now that all the members of the band were here and were complete. Putting the book on the floor, he listened to the man speak and noted how he missed out that thing he'd mentioned about his uncle. When Alex did that, Lee could pretty much guess what was going on in Alex's head. He was going to play along since he's not really the one in charge of the band. The only thing he'd be in charge of would be his father's business, which he'd be taking over soon. Idly, he wondered if he'd have time for The Undead Filth Worms' gigs once the office gets too busy.
Not that Lee wouldn't give up his position for a while should their band and music reach the other cities. It would do well for his business if he's known to be one of the members of the band. It's killing two birds with one stone and it's convenient in his opinion.
"I'm good with it," he replied with another nod as he took the guitar and strummed his fingers over the strings once. The male smiled handsomely before he'd turned to look at Nick when he'd heard his excuse. "But there isn't any romantic movies on schedule now," he said as he raised an eyebrow, "Unless the girls you two would be dating would be up for some fun-filled humor." For some odd reason, Lee had to say it was hard to find women with a good sense of humor these days.
Rolling his eyes, Nick looked over at Lee. "Please. We're going to see a thriller. Nikki's been dying to see The Tourist. Besides, she said she's found someone that would be 'suitable' for me. We'll see how that goes." He looked over at his sister before poking her in the head. "You are coming... right?"
"Der. I can't abandon my friend like that. Besides, I can't upstage my Zaney-waney." Laughing, Nikki dipped her head down to continue playing her game. As her head was down, she did manage to shoot Zane a quick glance to catch his reaction.
"Okay. Let's start." Nick picked up his guitar and shot Alex a look. "Would you mind sharing your lyrics with me. It would give me an idea for the rhythm we're looking for. I need to make sure my stuff compliments yours." Moving closer to Alex's typical spot, the male shoved his glasses onto his nose before laying his notes across a stand. "Oh, Lee, when you've finished making your changes, can you give me a copy? I want to make sure we don't have destructive notes occurring."

[[Sorry it's short, but I just posted before this so I figured I didn't need another lengthy post. That and I'm unsure what else to post.]]
Lars nodded when Alex asked if they were all good with his plan. "Thursday. Got it." Was all he said, beginning to strum a few notes on his heavy bass guitar. So they were going to be playing Bloodball Massacre, huh? That would be interesting. He just hoped Alex didn't want him to do backup vocals again. That was a disaster.
When Nikki pulled out a game, Lars was immediately interested in the DS, his eyes widening. "Is that SoulSilver?" The rather strange bass player questioned, it now being apparent that he was actually interested in such a thing as pokemon. Getting odd looks from everyone he quickly retreated his gaze back to his guitar. "Um. Nevermind." He quickly said.
He only listened, still strumming a few quiet notes on the guitar, as Lee and Nick began to talk about the movies or something. Yeah right. Did Nick even have any lady friends? Well, it was none of his business. He only watched as Nick went over to Alex talking about musical notes. He supposed he should do the same at some point, but honestly when it came to playing bass, he really just went with the flow. Pop out a simple bass line and the others would follow his lead. Change it up a bit and they'd make it work. Still, if Alex wanted him to change anything, he figured he'd say something. Especially if they were playing one song in particular.
Alex only gave a puzzled, strange look to Lars as he commented on the pokemon game. He really did worry about that guy sometimes... But as Lars said never mind, it was as if Axel was already halfway to forgetting about it. Probably for the best, he figured.
As Nick then presented something in front of him, Alex looked to it. "Alright, this is where you come in, Nick." He started, pointing to a certain area on the piece of paper his band-mate had brought out on the stand. "Right here's where you'll follow up on Lee's lead. Right when I finish the second line of the first verse, right before the hook. And yeah, you guy'll probably have to compare notes too, like you said."
He cracked his knuckles, still in his standing position. "And as for the official lyrics, though we have a chorus and a few versus, the actual words are still a work in progress. I need something that rhymes with rebellion..." He looked up in thought, apparently in his own world now thinking about it. But he quickly snapped back out of it. "Alright Lars, get us started, would'ya? Somethin' heavy like we talked about." He then said, looking to the bass player. "Zane, you go off of Lars' lead." He was sure the creative drummer would be able to pull something off, even though they'd really only practiced the song a couple of times. "Then Lee, you and Nick go for it and that's where we'll officially start." Officially being him bringing on the vocals, of course.
He gave a small grin. "Oh, and Lee." He then said. "How's your singing?" Lee would often times help him with the lyrics, almost being his sort of second-in-command, but as far as actually singing went, Alex wanted to see just how awesome he could make this new song.
(( Bah. Sorry for neglecting this rp for so long. Let's see if we can revive it. :XD ))
Lee turned to look again at Lars when he said something about SoulSilver. He's, of course, heard about the game but he isn't really one for that kind of thing. He had school to think about, after all, and his probable future. At least, that was how his old man had put it. His old man had a friend who had no heir to the corporation he led and his father wanted him to marry into the family. They weren't in need of money. His father just wants to repay an old favor with that friend of his.
A small smile caught up onto Lee's lips at Lar's next words. The man really was shy. It was rather hard to try and bring him out from his shell for a decent conversation.
The tourist? Lee's eyebrow twitched a tad. He disliked horror movies, after all, so to hear that Nikki wanted to watch such a movie, he was glad he wasn't her date. Glad that Alex had decided to break into the conversation and get to important matters, the male nodded at the orders. He was just about to ask for a copy of the piece from Nick when he heard Alex's question.
Somehow, someway, Alex's small grin with that question made him a tad irritated and mostly amused. "I think I'm getting better," he said with a rather amused smile, "Are you thinking of putting me as your back-up vocals for this song?" Lee turned his gaze to Lars for a moment and motioned for him to come closer. There was something he wanted to try with the bass, too, and his guitar. Somehow, the idea just appeared out of nowhere and into his head.
