Myra looked at the prok and cheese then placed her hands behind her back, "Well for starters, how old are you?" She asked tilting her head slightly as her black ponytails dangled from her sides from the dark blueish purple ribbonsthat held them tightly together.

Ella with barely no control managed to stumble to her feet clasping her arms around herself so she could somewhat cover the runes, stumbling or somewhat running or tried as it seemed she collapsed into a near clothing shop the door slamming behind her, she pulled to her knees cradling herself. Tears of red streaming down she now cried and pleading for help a hysterical mess.

Amadeus chuckled at the nature of the question and said, "I will be 142 this spring. Hmm, this is fun, keep asking m'dear, this reminds me of my interview for college."

"Hmm, I don't know Nathan," Jack said in response to his question. "Can you?" It stood to reason that he'd be able to, though he'd have to discover if he actually could on his own. Jack looked at the clock and realized he really had to finish up that cure. It shouldn't take too much longer, he thought as me moved back to his lab. "If you would like to practice Nathan, go ahead and do so outside. I'll be busy for a bit," he called out before closing the heavy door behind him. Test tubes, beakers, samples and much more cluttered the shelves along the wall, giving the spacious room a cramped feeling. Jack grabbed his gloves, goggles, and apron before he sat down and got to work.
Lexi rushed out to the main room when she heard the door close, a bit confused as to why no one was there. Then she heard the cries of someone laying on the floor. Hesitantly, she leaned over the woman and asked, "Are you okay?" while shaking her shoulder a bit. "Emily!" she called out after shaking her for a bit, scared like a child her age would be. "There's something wrong out here!" |
Nate sighed as he was left alone, and almost sat before realizing that a lot of the pink dust-like stuff was everywhere. He trudged outside and went back to his little plant, mumbling to himself. Jack's always busy, he thought, I wonder what he's doing. He let himself drop to his knees, landing with a soft thud, and then shifted to let himself get more comfortable. The plant seemed to stare at him, to dare him to practice on it. Nate turned away, lost in his own thoughts.
The plant seemed to mock him, even as it blew in the slight breeze that had started. When Nate looked down, one of the green leaves seemed to wave at him in the breeze. No matter how long Nate looked away, the little plant drew his attention back to it, again and again, until he gave in with a sigh. He pushed his shirt sleeves back up, and dug his hands back under the soil. Instead of thinking of the plant growing, he thought of it receding back into the earth, like a baby going back into the mother's womb. Wait. Ew. After a minute or so, Nate opened his eyes and looked down, noticing the plant had actually become taller. He sighed, and tried again, then many times. Same result. What was he doing wrong? The redhead pounded the ground and then drove his hands even deeper into the soil, sending threats to the little plant through the little grains of soil, with all the focus he could. He thought he heard a whispering in the back of his mind, and when he opened his eyes, the little plant was smaller, coming out of the ground. You didn't have to be so rude about it. Nate jumped, and then looked around. Someone was playing tricks on him. Was it Jack? Look down, and it will become clear. Nate stared in disbelief. The plant? Yes. Besides, you need help on your barrier. Nate glared at the plant before taking his hands out of the earth. Who was the plant to tell him that he needed better defenses? They were only connected by the soil. It made sense. Not exactly, Tiger. Nate groaned and began to go inside. He was hallucinating, he bet, and it was only a lack of energy. He was talking to himself. Look, you can't get rid of me. We're soulbound. Until you or I die. Or break the bond, whichever you please. The little plant rambled on, and Nate stormed inside Jack's house in anger. What, plan to have your magician friend tear us apart? Only you can break our bond now, Tiger. Defeated, Nate took a seat in a nearby chair while the plant went through his memories, violating his brain. By the looks of it, you're too weak. It'll take you hundreds of years to break our bond, Tiger. You're too weak. Frustrated, Nate screamed, "Get out of my head!" |
Without out control over her body what so ever nows a darkness seemed to loom over her body, her arm snatching the girls arm into possession and from there words all incoherent streamed out of her, as if they were another language. No the were another a strange foreign language even to her. or was it? no doubt about it she quickly snapped her head back gaining possession. " Water..." she said with a raspy voice the had the sound of a hollow ghost in it. " ginger and eucalyptus leaves..." she went on naming out her list of groceries for the day before fainting her eyes shifting back to their formal color and her head dropped on the girls shoulder.

Jack could hear Nate storm into the house and, after a pause, scream in anger, even through the thick walls. Puzzled, he set down what he was doing and opened the door after putting away his apron, gloves, and goggles. He walked out into the house and found Nate sitting in a chair, looking quite angry. "Is there something wrong Nate?" Jack asked as he sat down in the chair opposite his young friend.
Lexi responded to the lady's grasp on her arm by screaming. It was actually quite painful to the small girl. Her arms still hurt a little from the burns, but they were tiny things, so they couldn't really stand up to a full-grown woman crushing them with her full might. The woman began rambling off a list of things that sounded like a grocery list before she went limp and released Lexi. Lexi scrambled backwards from her position on the floor, terror showing in her bronze-ish eyes. She sat there, shaking violently, while she waited for Emily to come in, or the woman to move again. |
Nate looked up at Jack and nodded. "There's a plant inside my head," he growled, and then stopped, rethinking that as the voice in the back of his mind laughed. "Wait. That's not what I meant. I.. I made the plant smaller outside, after making it grow about two inches. I got mad and sort of yelled at the plant through the soil or something, and then it started talking to me. In my head. It says that we're 'soulbound'. But I want it out of my head." Nate sighed and leaned backwards, gaining pink dust on the back of his shirt. He wondered if uprooting the plant would get it out of his brain, but the thought only amused the plant. You're hilarious. Why didn't you try this earlier? Nate grumbled, Because I didn't want to damn myself to a life with a obnoxious green vine, he spat back in his mind, and then harrumphed and turned away when he realized that he'd answered it back.

Myra giggled softly then looked at Amadeus, "As you wish, why are you interested on breaking the curse?" She asked out of curiosity.

Amadeus shrugged with a grin saying, "I simply wish to be able to show the world my achievements. I have taken the concept of the steam engine to levels beyond what anyone could have imagined, I have created machines thought only exist in science-fiction novels." Amadeus slid a plate in front of Myra with a pair of sizable pork and cheese sandwiches and started making his own.

Myra looked at the sandwiches then picked one up and started eating it, she couldn't think of any more questions at the moment so she smiled and looked at Amadeus, "I am sorry but I can't think of any questions at the moment, you may ask me some if you one and I don't mind if they get personal." She said taking another bite of the delicious sandwich.

"Both are dead, one was killed and the other died from a illness." Myra said as she biting her sandwich, this was the first time she ever talked about her parents but she had to try to talk about them. It was the only way for her to move on.

Emily heard Lexi's screams from the other room and she came back to the real world; her mind had been elsewhere. As soon as Emily entered the hallway, she froze. 'What the?' she thought to herself and then threw her body forward in a rush of terror to help the poor girl. Stopping abruptly, Emily practically hurled her small framed body onto the floor beside the girl and Lexi. Terror was in her eyes as she looked from one girl to another and she actually had no idea what to do. "Lexi, what happened?!" she shuddered as she spoke, looking at the blood flowing from the unconscious girl's eyes. It was a sight that would scare any normal human out of their mind. Reaching forward, she took the girl's hand in her own. Shortly after, the girl woke up and looked around with a fearful expression spread across her blood stained face. "Shh. You are safe now. Just relax, I shall get help" she cooed to the girl to try to reassure her that she was safe. Looking over to Lexi, Emily had tears in her eyes and her smooth lips were slightly parted to reveal her white teeth. "Lexi, are you okay darling? I'm so sorry I did not come sooner, I was in a world all of my own" she sighed, feeling horrible about leaving little Lexi to panic on her own. Emily realized that there was really nobody she knew of that would come so late in the afternoon. Looking at the girl, she realized the markings across her skin and began to wonder what they were. It was then that she realized there was one person she knew of that would help; Jack. He had his magic, and not to mention, what had happened to this girl was far from the ordinary; something that dear Jack was expert in. "Lexi, wait here my dear. I am so sorry to leave you alone again. I need to bring Jack back here. He can help, I am sure!" she babbled. Turning to the girl on the floor, she brushed a strand of hair from her face and furrowed her brow. It was painful to leave Lexi with her, as she had no idea what would happen if she did. Lexi already seemed hurt by the girl, though Emily was sure it was not actually either one's fault. "Be calm. I will bring you help. I need to leave you with my dear assistant; Lexi. I will be gone no longer that five minutes. Please, do not harm her. She is precious to me" Emily whispered to the girl, hoping that she understood. All Emily wanted was for the girl to be well and safe, but she was still so worried about Lexi. She turned, planted a soft kiss on Lexi's forehead and then stood and ran from the shop as thought it was on fire. "Jack!" Emily screeched as she neared the house he resided in. "Jack. I need. Your help!" she panted. "There is a girl. Bad shape. Blood from her eyes! Markings all over her body. You must. Look at her! Please?" she stammered, her hands shaking violently and fear bubbling inside her. There was nothing more she could do than to stand there and pray that Jack would agree to help the girl. |

She is precious to me" she heard someone say to her the room still very unstable the word harm seemed to echo threw her as she repeated it mentally 'harm...harm.....why would i harm someone....' curling her knees to her chest tightly she felt the burn again spreading down past her lower back and the first kisses on her thighs and legs the burn of the runes filling her bones now. she was frightened beyond belief and had no idea of what to do, before she knew it she was crying again blood mixing with tears.

Lexi had gone into something quite commonly called shock; she was pretty much off in her own world. When Emily sat down next to her, she barely recognized that fact, or that she was being spoken too. As Emily left, Lexi just nodded without any real meaning. All she did was lie down and curl up.
Jack chuckled at Nathan's predicament, smiling as he realized what was going on. "I see," he said thoughtfully. "This sort of thing often happens between people and animals, but there are a few people who bond to plants instead. It really is nothing to worry about, and nothing I can help you with." Jack stood and walked over to the door, believing that he was hearing his name being screamed, only to recognize Emily's voice. He stepped onto the porch hurriedly and listened to Emily's frantic explanation before responding with, "Take me to her. I'll help." |
"Thank you Jack. Thank you so much!" Emily sobbed as she grabbed hold of Jack's hand and running back down the way she had just came; straight to her shop. Bursting through the door, Emily's eyes locked on Lexi straight away, noticing that she was now lay on the floor. She immediately began to panic that Lexi had been harmed and rushed over to her. Throwing herself onto the floor, she pulled Lexi into her arms and rocked her backward and forward gently. "Jack, the girl. She fell into the shop, blood soaked and frightened, then passed out. Her eyes were blood red before she did so, and the markings on her body. I don't know Jack. I don't know what to do!" she mumbled hurriedly. Fear creeping back into her more and more now that Lexi seemed to be struggling. You see, as soon as Emily had agreed to take Lexi on in the shop, she had felt a sudden need to mother the little one. Lexi had lead such a hard life up until now, and Emily wanted to make it better for her, yet; all she had seemed to do since Lexi agreed to work for her was make it worse. |
Lexi barely felt Emily grab hold of her, lost in her own little world. Nonetheless, she replied, eyes distant, "Phen? Pheeen, I'm too hot for you to be huggin' me." Lexi's mind was still trying to suppress the memories of what she had seen a few moments ago, at least to some degree. She had seen worse before, though she didn't really remember it. Friends, people she called brothers and sisters, killed before her very eyes by the ruthless police force of Black Heart.
Jack let Emily guide him to her shop, wondering what on Earth had actually happened. When he opened the door and saw the young woman lying on the ground bleeding, and the runes all over her body, he knelt down, dipped his fingers in her blood, and used it to draw runes in between the biggest ones on her body. These runes were runes of disruption, essentially meaning that they cut off the flow off power in the network of runes over her body. "There, now she should start feeling better," Jack said as he stood and went over to check on Lexi, only to see Emily holding her like the small child she was. Instead, he decided to help the woman,, taking off his coat and folding it up into a pillow that he placed under her head as he rolled her onto her back. |
Amadeus nodded, silent for a few seconds before asking, "So, where do you live?"

Myra bit her sandwich and held her amulet "I live by myself, in the big house on the hill. Its where my family lived and I'm still there. Funny thing though, I still didn't clean up the blood." She said looking at her sandwich and bit it again.

Ella's body felt as if boulders had lifted from her small frame and the gravity released she grunted not trying to move, her pain wracked with pain. She sat up slowly and looked around the room." W-where am i?" she asked clutching her hand to her head and looking around the room she then seen a woman holding a little girl cradling her in her arms and she immediately looked down at her self and started sobbing, her words now belligerent " OH my gosh i-i-i-i-i-i'm so sorry I'm soo so sorry!" she exclaimed cupping her hands to her face and crying. " If i hurt her i swear i didn't mean to. I can heal her ! i can ! ohh but if i did something horribly wrong please please don't spare me take me by my own blade " she said shakily putting down a strong iron dagger with elaborate designs and ,markings cupping a decent size amethyst gemstone. "my name is Ella..."she said looking down" and i apologize sincerely.

Jack put his arms on the shoulders of the sitting woman in a comforting manner. "No, you didn't hurt her; she's just in shock," he explained soothingly, using a bit of his magic to increase the effect. "Just relax Ella. I'm Jack, and the older woman over there is Emily, the owner of this shop. The small girl is her assistant Lexi. All will be fine. Just relax." The runes' power had been completely cut off by Jack's runes, so it was just a matter of time before their effects left the young girl's body.
