Malone too a deep breath before speaking."It is said that long ago this island was the capital of a mighty kingdom,full of life and the people prospered.At the center of this place was a mountain of fire unlike any other.It gave life to this place,and was the home of Dragons.To ensure the safety of those who helped them,these powerful beings created a route trough the mountain into another kingdom of an origin unknown to any save them.The worst befell this place in the form of a lady and her wolf.."He paused and glanced at the others before moving on."These two and their power was immense,the dark one with her jewel destroyed the once peaceful kingdom and tried to find the blazing stone of the royal family.With his dying breath the king entrusted the stone to his dragon protector and in this way the evil one was thwarted,but alas the once great kingdom was no more.In it's place where scattered islands and rocky outcroppings.The only vestige of this kingdom's former glory was the fire mountain itself ."Hie eyes bore into in his companions.Malone didn't want to say it...He hoped he wouldn't have to.

Emily looked up from he last barde in Mirabellas hair, as Illumina rushed into the room and informed them of what was happening then instructed them that Malone wished to see them. Sam jummped into Emilys arms as the two girls left and sat ther very quiet and still. Once with everyone in the sitting room, Emily listened intently to Illuminas story as well as Malones. After Illuminas information it seemed that Mirabella was very frightened and needed conforting. in responce to the look Emily opened her arms and enviloped the girl in them and gently hushed her as she cried in her arms. Sam had jummped up on Emilys shoulder as she welcomed Mirabella to her arms.

"That is a very old story Malone!" Zack said suddenly as he was now at the ready. He didn't like the idea of leaveing the island right away without any previtions, but if they had to then they would. "My-my mother told me the same story, though she didnt seeme to treat it as a just a story!" He said slowly befor clearing his throught and staring at everyone. "So where is this soposed rout!?" he asked now feeling that if they must go then now would be the time to do it, if not then it would be too late.
"Were leaveing?" Emily asked looking up from Mirabella, worrie filled her face as she was listening to everything that was being said.
"Yes, if we must!" Zack said and gave a weak smile to Emily. the girl only heaved a sigh before looking towards the window.
"I didnt get to swim in the ocean like you promiced!" She said with much dissapoitment. "Mirabella, we have to start pacting, come on, itll be ok!" Emily said now in the same mood as the others, it was time to move! She ushered Mirabella back to their room and hurridly pulled on a pair of her brothers pants and used a roap to tie them on. She then tossed every thing she had pulled out back into the bag it had come from and hoisted everything over her shoulders. Sam had avoided being tossed into the bag and once all of Emilys rushing about was done, he seated himself on the back of the bag.

Mirabella watched as Emily quickly packed her stuff and whiped her eyes. She was still recovering from what Illumina said about her kingdom dying ifshe was killed. Mirabella grabbed her light-purple jacket and put it back on her "I-Illumina, c-can y-you tell me a-about where I am from?" Mirabella asked as she turned to her while they all walked out of the room' "Of course Lady Mirabella, I will tell you when we get to the ship anyways." Illumina said with a dead and frighten look upon her human face. She looked at the humans ready for the journey "There is a ship we can go on for free if you want but there is something I have to tell you." Illumina paused as she summoned her wings and turned them into a pure white cloak, "The ship we'll be taking, whatever you do. Don't show fear." she said with a dead look in her eyes as she turned and started to walk out the door. Mirabella jumped as Illumina's personality changed from a peaceful guardian to a scary person. "We need to get to the dock quickly who knows how far that blasted woman has gotten." she said walking in the hallwwway and waited for everyone to follow. Mirabella followed as the others followed behind her held the amulet in her hands as more and more fear filled her heart and mind. 'Why me, I can't do this. But why am I still following? Maybe this is why I came here, but from where did I come from?' Mirabella thought as she continued walking.

Zack meat Emily as she left the room, he spoke with her about what they were about to do seeming worried beyond anything else. The girl only smiled to reasure her brother that this journy wasnt going to bother her. Both then hugged echother tightly as Illumina spoke about the ship they would be taking.
"Are you sending us into a den of pirats or something Illumina?" Zack ased still holding his sister as he grasped both of their black ratted cloaks, and wrapped Emil's around her. "Because if it is ful of Pirats Id prefer them to stay away from the girls!" he stated as if Mirabella were his sister just as much as Emily was.

"brother please!" Emily stated pushing him away as if she were horrified by the idea of not being able to protect herself. "Im very capeable of deeling with Pirats, bandats, poliece, and people of all walks of danger!" She stated placing a hand on her hip as she planted herself at Mirabellas side. "Sides if they are Pirats I do hope they can teach me how to use a sword!" She added a smile wide on her face as the little fox Sam jummped on her shoulder and barked once.
"Lets go, Lets Go, no time No Time!" he chirped. Emily gave him a small sideways glance before looking over to Malone.
"Malone, will you be alright leaving so suddenly?" She asked hopeing that the shock of leaving this place wouldent be too much for him.
"Yes Malone, are we getting cold feet?" Zack asked as he swong his own cape about his shoulders and pulled the hood over his head.

Illumina looked at Zack with a sense of security. Sh sensed that he was only concerned for Mirabella and his sister's safety. "You have nothing to worry about, they are old friends of mine. If we are lucjy, they might have money for us to borrow for a while that is." she said looking him with a small smile in her face. Mirabella looked at Illumina "Wh-where will we meet them?" Sheasked as she stopped walking wanting an answer from her faithful dragon. "You will see Lady Mirabella, are you coming Malone. I am sorry this is so sudden but if we hurry now, my friends may have rooms avaiable on his ship if he haaas room. Which I bet he does." Illumina said in a very low voice as she walked to Malone placing her hand on his shoulder.

Mirabella watched as she looked at Emily and Zack. I small smile appeared on her face. She was surprised of all the friends she followed on this island, along with the information she received along the way. Mirabellathought long and hard what it would be like to be back home, a home she never knew she had because of the fact she couldn't remember. "Malone, I w-would loveit if you did come, this seemedlike it ould be a fun adventure w-we can all enjoy." Mirabella said looking at Malone and giggled at little at how well she managed to say that.

"I wouldn't miss this for the world!Just give me a few minutes to say my goodbyes and grab some things."So saying Malone left the group to say his farewells to his parents and grab all the things he thought he would need.After this task was done he returned to his group of friends."Alright,I'm ready...So what are we waiting for?Onyx said he would catch up with is after finding more out about something."The young man looked to Illumina and then glanced at Emily.

Onyx found himself by the sea.He hovered above the sandy beaches a few seconds before landing.A roar escaped him as tendrils of strong thorn-ed vines wrapped themselves around him.They've taken to the sea Malone!Be very careful when you set out.There's no telling what will happen. Quickly he went to work in order to burn out the pesky vines ,but they just seemed to keep growing back more numerous then before.

After quite some time Fade arrived as close to the Fire castle of old as she could go.It was time now to wait for the children and their pets to arrive,so they could lead her to the stone she had wanted so much.It had begun her quest into darkness ,and now it would help bring it to an end.

Emily and Zack wee more than ready to leave, and Malone's need to say good bye and gather things only made Zack more ready to leave.
"Let us be off shall we!?" he asked once Malone had returned, "I do hate making people wait!" he added already out the door. Emily grasped Mirabellas Hand and fallowed after her brother.
"Please forgive my brother, i think hes jelous of Malone!" Emily said as she toated Mirabella behinde her.
"Jelou, Jelous Zack is JELOUS!" Sam barked now in a good mood it seemed. Emily shooshed the little fox as she need zack give her and the fox a deth glar. "Sorry Sorry Zack Zack!" Sam whimpered his larg ears folded to the side of his head and his tail between his legs.
"Though im sure its true!" Emily muttered referring abck to her brother being jelous of Malone.

"Emily you and Mirabella ride your horse, And Malone can walk!" Zack stated as he mounted his horse and held the reans to Emilys horse. "Im Not jelous of that Kid eather!" Zack hissed to Emily as she was in wispering range.
"Ok Mirabella are you ready to ride?" Emily asked a wide fake smile on her face and nervousness in her eyes. "Its really simple, your going to just hang on for the ride ok!?" She asked some what talking through her teeth the smile even wider.

"Um ok, but I don't think its fair Malone has to walk. Illumina, can Malone ride on your back to the dock?" Mirabella asked as she mounted on the bak of Emily's horse, Illumina looked at Malone then nodded her head. She leaned forwards and turned into her dragon form and sccoped Malone on her back. Illumina and the others ran to the dock where the water was calm but she became angry when she saw Onyx getting tangled in vine. With and aggitated roar, Illumina spit out white fire and burned the vines away "Their here, I have to call them." she said as she slid Malone off her back and turned into her human form then slit her wraist with her own claws and let the blood drip in the water and a chant escaped her mouth:

"From a dead sun to a dreaded moon
I call upon in this lagoon.
The one who came to a terrible fate,
Captain Harold of the Black Bone and Blood Stone."

The water rippled as a huge ship and a half decaying man appeared in front of Illumina, "Illumina the dragon of light, how are ya, how'z it been?" Harold said in an eerie dead voice, "We need your ship, can we use it?" Illumina said in a dead voice. Harold looked behind Illumina and a smile spread across his dead face "Of course, walk up the ramp and I'll show you all to your rooms." he said moving aside so the horses and the people on them can board. Illumina looked at everyone then started walking up the ramp "The anwer is no." she said in a firm voice "Fine." Harold said with a disappointed look as he looked at them girls with an eerie smile.

Malone yelped with surprise when Illumina scooped him up at first.After that ,when she dropped him and proceeded to summoned up the half dead captain and his ship he couldn't help but be impressed.Then Harold,or whatever his name was,started leering at the young women."Hey!"The young man glared at the captain as he walked by."You leave them alone you understand!"

Onyx changed into his own human form.His red eyes turned into a deep burgundy,and his hair was black as his scales.With skin the color of a dark stained wood,he stood out from the rest of the group,but there was no helping that.Glad that he knew enough to appear with a loose shirt on and a pair of well tailored pants,he followed Illumina,after giving a reassuring smile to Malone."Thank you Illumina,my fire wasn't quite hot enough.There is no denying that you truly are of the Light."With a smile he ran one of his hands on her arm,quite obviously showing his interest in her.The silly way humans stepped around this subject had always aggravated Onyx.

"Um thank you Onyx," Illumina said with a smile and started to blush a little, "you're very kind." Illumina smiled as she leaned on the side of the ship and looked in the water. She looked down at her hands and realized her wraist was still bleeding then notice Onyx mending to the wound, Illumina only blushed more as he started to help her.

Mirabella closed hereyes as she and the other got on the ship and got off the horse. She looked around the ship and saw that the crew was decaying and dead, the captain appeared out of nowhere and placed dead hands on Mirabella and Emily's shoulders' "Welcome to our humble Ship The Black Bone and Blood Stone. I hope you will enjoy your voyage." he said with an eerie smile, looking at the girl at the same time by turning both of his eyes in an unhuman way.

Emily was visibly perplexed and frightened of this gastly ship, she glanced over at her brother onlt to see he was just perplexed, though anger was their as Illumina had shot down an unheard question of the capatans. so with much braveness Emily sperred the horse forward after her brother, a small smile had crept on her face as she had heard what Malone was telling the captan, perhaps this voyage wouldent be as frightening as she thought.
Carfully Emily dismounted her horse and then helpped Mirabella down, though the girl seemed to have the hang of it and was about to seak the safty of one of the boys when she was caught by the captan.
"Welcome to our humble Ship The Black Bone and Blood Stone. I hope you will enjoy your voyage." he said with that goulish smile. Emily was frozen in her place she couldent finde the words to speak or the air to breath, she stood as still as stone untill Sam barked at the Captan.
"Stop Stop, Go away! Emmie is Scared Go away!" He barked from Emilys shoulder causing the girl to finde herself again and stepp back from the hald dead man.
"I-I'm very sorry!" She said suddenly bowing her head and hurring to Malone, as he was the closest, and hid behinde him her face flushed of all color. Sam on the other hand seemed to be ready to bite off one of the captans fingers if he had to, and to show this he climbed on Malones Shoulder and bared his sharp little teeth and growled rather cutely.

Zack, ignored the fact that all these men were half dead and already rotting, had found a place safe enough for both horses to survive a long trip accross the ocean. He knew Emily was frightened of this crew and hoped he would be able to get back to her before she offended them or caused an up roar. Once he was able to get back to her it was too late, She was hideing behinde Malone. This made Zack just as angry as when he was in the Inn watching emily and Malone dance together.
"I cannot Have this!"Zack muttered while crossing his arms and watching every move Malone Made.

Mirabella stood there too scared to move from Harold, his other hand that was on Emily touched Mirabella's other shoulder as his cold, calmy touch went through her whole body. She started to shake as she looked down while eyes were widen and pupils small. Harold smiled as both eyes focused on her, "Princess, an honor it is to see you again. I haven't seen you seen you were a child. You've grown into a stunning young woman." he said as his yellow teeth showed through his dead smile. Mirabella froze in terror as looked at Harold; Illumina looked at them and tried to go rescue her but she could take one step Harold was screaming in pain as he let Mirabella go and held his head in his hands. Mirabella ran behind Zack and her breath quickened, "Shame on you captain, you know better than to scare the princess to death." a man in a white suit and blood red eyes said turning around as his clawed hand dripped with maggots and stale blood. "You should be more careful Harold, Talos has a knack of returning people back to the underworld." another man said comming out of the shadows, his clothed armor moved smoothly as he walked.

Illumina walked to the man in the white suit and smacked him in the face. "Go away Talos. Why are you two here, please just go away!" she yelled as her hands balled into fists, Talos slowly turned to face Illumina then spoke "Is that anyway to speak to your older brother Lumi?" Talos asked placing his clean hand on her cheek then ran along her jaw line' "How rude of me, friends of Princess Mirabella and my baby sister, I would like you to meet Jason, my master." he said waving his hand towards the man. "Pleased to meet your all, especially you Princess Mirabella. We have some unfinished business to take care of." Jason said with a crazed look and smile on his face, a strange looking symbol appeared on his forehead as he walked slowly to Zack and Mirabella.

Zack straghtened up as Mirabella ran behind him, his attenchion wasnt on Malone anymore but the girl beinde him. He barly listened to the men before him as he was busy trying to calm Mirabella. Though hereing the name Jason sent a shiver through his spine. Turning back, to the grupe of people, Zack stared down this Jason person. The young man was sizing the other man up to see if he could really take on this person. He didnt look too terribly difficult to fight, but Zack knew better than to miss judg some one,this man odvously was dangerous in the way he moved and acted.
"I dont think Miss. Mirabella wishes to finish any business with you!" Zack stated a low growel in his throught as he gently pushed Mirabella backwards behind him. He also took steady steps back as well, still trying to figuar out the strengths and weaknesses of the man before him.

Emily felt terrible for Captan Herold, he was just being hospitable, and flirty, but to have bits of himself ripped away seemed a little over board. Peaking around Malone Emily couldent help but feel even worse for the captan. He seemed to be in great pain and agony. though her attenchion was sudenly diverted when Illumina slapped the man who had harmed the captan. A small smile of triumph spred accross Emilys face after seeing this, though they didnt appear to be out of the water yet. The man illumina had slapped was her brother, and the brothers master was the infomus Jason. Emilys attenchion then diverted to jating how Jason approched her brother and Mirabella. Frightened for the both of them Emily clung to Malones Arm her grip on his shirt tight and pulling as she was both frightened and ancious about helping if needed.

Sam sat quietly on Malones shoulder though he did make a small snickering sound when Illumina slapped her own brother, he laughed again when he found out the man Illumina had slapped was her brother. Before hand though the fox barked at the captan not likeing how he was acting to Mirabella, he then had made a snorting noise when herold had gotten his "punishment."
"I dont like them Malone, Nope, nope, nope, I don't!" Sam stated and nudged Malone with his nose. "Jasones Bad! Bad Jasone bad, bad, bad!" he added with a growel as he caught jason approching Mirabella and Zack in a way he didnt like.

Tension filled Malone as he watched events unfold.When Emily hid behind him,grabbing his shirt the young man couldn't help a wave of exhilaration course trough him.This was what he was meant to do!Malone grimly stepped forward after giving a reassuring glance to Emily.He was careful not to dislodge Sam from his precarious perch."I don't know who in the world you are...But I won't let you harm my friends!"So saying he set himself into a fighting stance,determined to protect both Emily and Mirabella .He threw a grin in Zack's direction,then pointedly looked at a spot behind these new players in this quickly turning dangerous game.

Onyx followed Malone's eyes and placed himself behind Jason,as his master so obviously wished.The Protector had finally realized part of his mission.Exultation bubbled within the dragon as he returned to his scaled form in preparation for the battle that might ensue.This time...This time the Protector would not fail in his mission to safeguard the balance of the world,Onyx would make sure of that.

Fade waited for them to arrive and let her into the castle she had once called home so long ago when she had been young.The time when it seemed like preserving the powers of Earth would be an easy and simple task...She shook her head and her black hair fell around her.This was not the place to remember such things!Her wolf rested stoically beside her,his gray pelt blending in with the surrounding cliff.Caverns in which the winds whistled,and within them was the castle of Fire.

Emily positioned herself to be out of Malones way, as he gained a fighting stance. She made sure to stay close to him though, she didnt realize that being so close to another boy, other than her brother, would be so.....so exciting! Though she didnt forget the danger that was around her, at any moment Jason could attach her brother and Mirabella and she would have to eather prevent Illuminas brother from asisting his master, or help Mirabella to safety. She didnt want to have to do eather, but it was probably inevitable eather way.

"I think you should stand down!" Zack said as he now planted his feet and pushed Mirabella back a little more. He too prepaied to fight and it showed in the stance he took. Zack gave a quick glance to Malone and Emily, he was happy to see that his sister would be ok, but not so happy to see how she clung to malone and then veru unhappy at the grin malone gave him. Zack didnt know wether to take that smile as a "lets kick their asses" smile, or a "Im winng her over and theirs nothing you can do about it" Smile. Zack ofcourse took it as number two and decited to use the anger, boiling inside of him, to beat the snot out of Jason. It would help, because when he directed his attenchion to the man before him anger only boiled more rapidly through him as he rememberd what the bastard had done to the frightened girl behinde him.

Sam didn seem to budg from his pertch on Malones shoulder, insted he hopped up on the mans head and barked a high pictched squawk at Talos.
"STOP STUPID!" he barked angrily at the man. "Stop your master, stop him, stop him, stop him, STOOOOOPPPPP HIIIIIIIMMMMM!" He screatched his little back arched and teeth bared. "You Stupid head!"

Jason looked at Malone as the ship started to move slowly on the water, "I'm not here to fight little boy, I'm here to take Princess Mirabella home." He said with a crazed smile on his face. He turned to look at Onyx then at Zack and Mirabella. He continued walking slowly towards them but stopped, he didn't like these odds that were against him and Talos. "Talos, its time to improvise don't you think?" Jason asked as he swayed side to side with his weapon back in its hold.

Talos smiled eerily at Illumina as he leaned close to her human ears, "Don't move." He then grabbed her neck and pulled her close to him and placed his claw at her throat, "If anyone just so happens to move inch close to my master, I'll kill Illumina where she stands along with the Princess and trust me on this one, you don't want me to do this." Talos said moving his claw closer to Illumina's neck. "Let me go Talos, this isn't like you." Illumina said as she struggled to escape from her brother, she was terrified for the first time in her life; Illumina started to shake as she stopped herself from trying to escape.

Mirabella looked at Jason then at Talos and Illumina "Stop it let her go!" She yelled as tears started to roll down her face, suddenly her amulet started to flash "Not now stop it!" She said holding it in her hands, to beams shot to Malone and Emily and caused their stones to flash. A third beam pointed at Jason as his stone started to flash. "What is happening?" Mirabella asked as she tried to stop the amulet from glowing, "They want this nonsense to stop, I would obey the stone it I were you." Harold said placing his head back in place and looked at everyone with a dead stare.

Emily Snapped to attenchion when illumina was grabbed. She feared for the women and didnt want to see her harmed. So Emilys attenchion was now on Illumona, howcould emily possibly help her without getting too terribly injured by the man as well. She bit her lip in concirn as she thought and tried to direct Malones attenchion to illumina as well.
"We have to help her!" She said concirn gripping her featurs. She hadent noticed her ston glowing unitl captan Harold and Mirabella said something about it. So looking down emily grasped the little sachel the stone was in. biteing her lip once again the girl took a deep breth and took a step towards Talos.
"Let her go!" She demanded,"Let illumina Go!" She added a little more forcefull, though her hands trembled as she confronted the dangerous man. "We juat want to help Mirabella and learn more about these stones!"She stated taking a Step towards Talos, still trembling. "So let Illumina Go and then YOU two can go!"

Sam's ears perked up when he herd Emily speak to Malone, She was right they had to help Illumina some how. Though he wasnt exactly thinking of confronting them like Emily was doing. The crazy girl was going to talk them down!
"no, no, no, Dont do that!" Sam squeeked as he watched his mistress take slow and trembly stepps towards the dangerous dragon. "Stop, Stop!" he squeeked again afraid that emily was going to get hurt.

Talos looked at the girl as she clutched a yellow stone in her hands. He looked at his Illumina then back at the young girl, he heard the little fox and the young man's shoulders. His eyes started to glow black and turned into his dragon form. His scales were pitch black with dark blue eyes, "What are you going to do about it, a mere human can't stop me, the dragon of darkness." Talos said in a deep voice as his tail wrapped around Illumina. But Illumina turned into her dragon form and bit Talos's tail. "Enough of this, I will not fight you brother. We have no choice we must simply share this ship with Talos and Jason." Illumina said as she turned her attention to Harold and ran to Emily, gently curling her tail around her.

Harold looked at everyone then nodded his head "Jason and Talos, you're taking the lower part on the ship, while the others take the upper. Any objections?" He asked with his eeire smile. Talos licked his tail in pain and snarled at Harold but Jason waved his hand to him and they vanished to the lower part of the ship. The stones stopped flash and were dormant again. Harold excorted them to their room, shocking enough the rooms were beautiful as if time never touched them. "The girls will take this room, the boys will take that room." He explained as he left them to the lower parts of the ship.

Mirabella walked into the room and hugged Illumina closely "Are you ok Illumina and Emily?" She asked with a worried look to Emily and Illumina "[B]I'm fine Lady Mirabella, but are you ok Emily, you seemed terrified of my brother." Illumina asked turning her attention to Emily as she sat on one of the beds and holding her head in shame and fear now that she knew Jason and Talos were on the same ship.

Malone was glad that everything had turned out alright,but happier still to know that he wanted to protect people.This had been what he'd been trying to find on his island home.He removed the red stone from his pocket,only to see that it was now an orange color.He frowned and went to speak with Captain Harold instead of walking into his room."Tell me what the stones really are?"

The skeletal man smiled grimly.The flesh at his mouth stretching strangely to form the eerie facial expression."So you'r th' brave one who wan's all the answers.The stones choose people to perform certain roles.To protect the balance of the world,and keep the elements in check.To each stone is linked a beast,who helps their partners perform their tasks no matter what the dangers may be."With that he started walking away with his shambling gait,leaving Malone on the deck with Zack,who had not yet gone to see their room.

Onyx remained on the deck in his dragon form,determined to keep watch on the upper levels to assure everyone's safety.He had heard of Talos,the true dark dragon.Onyx snorted,he was the one he had been born to hunt...The reason why his scales blended with the shadows ,even tough his heart was as light as the sun.He was glad,truly,that Malone knew now what the stones meant.His red eyes flitted from place to place on the ship and off.This was why he noticed the cliffs ,far away but approaching.

Emily stood frozen infront of Talos, he had become a grate dragon and the girl knew their was no way she could do anything to try and fight him. Though thankfully Illumina had gotten fed up with everything and made her escape by biting Talos and wrapping herself around Emily, in a form of protection. Nothing more happened and Emily went back to trembling in terror, as she was taken to the room her, Mirabella, and Illumina would shair. Though this didnt give the girl any confort as she knew somewhere that dragon talos was lerking and who knows she could possibly run into him and he could want to finish things by slicing off her head. This thought didnt seeme to stop the fear in her and her trembling continued.
"I'm fine Lady Mirabella, but are you ok Emily, you seemed terrified of my brother." illumina had saicd snapping Emily from her terrible thoughts and visions of death. Her attenchion was directed to the human formed dragon as she slumped down in one of the beds and held her head in her hands. Emily couldent think, was she alright? She was indeed terrified by the other dragon but what could she do? Her minde wandered back to the incodent and she seemed to slam into a wall of emotions. Fear,Terror,Anger, pain, all wrenched her heart and seemed to boil up into her throught untill she couldent take it anymore and fell to her knees tears beginning to stream down her face as she thought about what could of happened, what her brother would have done, where everyone would be at if she had been stupid enough to die.
"no, no, no, no please noo" She wispered trying to push away all of the frightening images that wanted to rip her appart.

Sam was about to attack the dragon that was 20 times larger than he was, but found he didnt have to as Illumina has saved herself and Emily. A small sigh escaped him but he remained tence as emily looked petrified and ready to faint right their. Though that didnt happen and the fox remained on Malons shoulder not quick enough to fallow his mistress to the room where she would be sleeping. he made a snorting noise that sounded like he could of told Malone what the capatn just did.
"Your a silly, silly Malone!" Sam stated hopping off the young mans shoulder and onto the deck where he turned into his own human form. A taned young 17 yearold with hair that matched the furr he once had and a pair of bright golden eyes. "I could of told you what Captan Skeliton did!" he stated in a normal male voice and not a high pitched squawk. "I bet Onix could of told you too silly, silly!" he said a wide smile on his face and hands on his hips! He turned to Zack now and smiled more.
"zack, Zack No more sad sad, Emm Emm is fine!" He stated happily going to the man and pushing him from the spot he was in.

Zack had been frozen since he had glimped Emily standing up to a dragon. He too could see her death and then his own at the hand of that beast. But his thoughts had been interrupted by Sam who thought it was a good idea to push him. Poor little kid had to suffer being grabbed up by the collar of his shirt and snarled at.
"leave me alone!" Zack growled before letting og of the boy and going some place to sulk and figuar out a new stratagy for this trip. Wepons, they needed wepons, and fighting they needed to know how to fight with them. Maybe the undead crew could help? Much ran thorugh the young mans head, so much that he had to seat himself on a small barrel to think straght and not run into anything. Their was just too much they were all unprepaired for.

Sam again made a noise to show his displeasure at being picked up and tossed around. Fixing himself he strode to Malone but stopped short and looking as if her were listening very hard for something.
"Oh, no... not good!" he muttered rather sadly. "Go go go Malone!" He stated and pushed the man accross the deck and to the airea where the rooms were. "Help Emm, Emm Ill get Zack, Zack!" he stated a sly smile on his face. "And dont come back untill shes all better!" He added before dissapering around a corner.

After being pushed across the deck by Sam ,he found himself in front of the young women's door.Inside he could hear sobbing,quietly he opened the door and entered the room.Seeing Emily,so terrified and crying,Malone quickly went to wrap his arms around her."Shush,I won't let Talos get anywhere near you again.And if he does...I'll be there to stop him from hurting you!So please stop crying."He pulled away to look at Emily's tear stained face to see what she would say..How she would react.

Onyx flew over to where Sam sat."Why do you speak like a child,when you are as old as I,maybe older?Why let yourself be thrown around by someone like ZackÉ"The dragon was perplexed with the fox.This one needed to be a sly one indeed to have extended his life to near immortality and yet here he was speaking as a child would,with none of the intelligence that Onyx had expected from one bound to a stone.

Emily gasped a little as she was suddenly embraced by a man and not one of the two women she had expected. She held her breath as she listened to Malone speak about protecting her and wanting her to stop crying. She began breathing again when he looked at her though she found it difficult because of the butterflies dancing in her stomach. Taking a deep breath Emily lunged forward and wrapped her arms around Malone's chest holding him tightly and letting out the rest over her fear and frustration with a burst of tears and a aggravated sounding groan.
"Thank you, thank you sooo much!" Emily whispered into the mans chest and gripped his shirt as a shutter ran through her body.

Sam glanced over at onyx as he came to sit beside him and talk. he heaved a sigh at the questions presented. "Do you question my tactics!?" he asked looking at the dragon head on. "Miss. Emily needs to learn how to protect herself and others," he began explaining with a sigh. "So i figured i would be as cute as possible to see if she would become attached and protect me as much as i would her!" he stated keeping his voice down so that Zack wouldn't here. "though i now see shes going to protect EVERYONE and not just me!" he said slightly sad. "I miss judged her abilities in friendship, she hasn't ever had friends who accept her for the way she appears and now these people have so shes almost willing to be killed to save them, Such a stupid girl!" he explained and began to pout. "as far as Mr.Zack well i cant very well be dominate over him, hes the one who first protected miss. Emily so i have to let him do what he wants and protect him as well!" he stated and laid back on the deck. "Sides i was a little out of line in pushing him around, so i deserved what i got!" he added as he crossed his legs and bounced the top one in a singular rhythm. "look at it like this, if Mr. Malone fell in love with miss. Emily You would do everything to protect her and Mr. Malone you would even put up with her attitude... if it were a bad on! Miss. Emily loves Mr.Zack and Mr. Malone So ill be doing my best to keep them safe But Miss. Emily always comes first!" he stated looking up at the dragon a smile wide on his face. "I'm not as stupid as i look am i!?" he asked hoping for a good response.

Onyx snorted again in disgust."Silly creature!I see now you have no idea that Malone is the one who is the Protector.The yellow stone will turn into red,once Emily realizes that she is the one who will bring peace to the raging element.The Fire castle will be her trial,and hers alone,and only you shall be able to help her.You aren't meant to protect her from harm..No rather ,you need to teach her and guide her until she can deal with the danger."The dragon turned away from the Fox and with a careless sweep of his tail launched himself into the air to help the scrambling sailors reach the shore of the ancient fire capital,Pyre,by grabbing the anchor of the ship in his mighty claws and pulling the vessel forward with powerful wing beats.

Malone nearly yelped in surprise when Emily launched herself into his arms again,but he managed to stop himself.Quietly ,with a tender look on his face that he knew not he wore,the young man encircled this strange girl-woman in his strong arms."No need to thank me Emily.You're stronger then you think,you'd have tossed the fear aside soon enough without me."He was grateful that he'd been able to quell Emily's tears.In his mind Malone was also glad that Zack wasn't there to see this impromptu embrace.If Emily's brother had been there Malone was sure he wouldn't need to worry about the fast approaching danger..He'd already be dead.

Fade watched with glee as the ship approached.They where so close!She was so near to gaining another jewel...The young woman had no idea what power she held,and her beast hadn't been dropping the necessary hints.It was as if he had no idea what truly bound him,almost as if he'd forgotten his past.Fade remembered the Fox she had once known.Fade had been half in love with Samuel,it would only have taken the right look from him and she would have been his,but he had never given the Earth Tender a second glance.Because of him,because of this she'd become twisted ,and lost.Completely alone save for her wolf companion , Leif, always loyal and true.

Sam glared up at the sky, he knew he was sopose to keep Emily safe and guide her. But perhaps Onyx was right maybe he didnt have any idea of what each of their rolls were! that didnt matter to him now though, he loved Emily she was the only human who he felt he could trust. "her sole is as pure as the snow!" he stated sitting up as Onyx lifted off to guide the ship to shore. "Plus shes really pretty, a perfect reflection of her true heart!" he added and looked about for zack. "OH CRAP!" He shouted suddenly." NO NO THIS ISNT GOOD WHERE DID HE GO!!!" He more shouted than asked "ONYX WHERES ZACK!" He shouted up at the dragon.

Emily sat back on her knees infront of Malone and wiped the tears from her eyes. She felt better but probably looked a little like a wreck. She swalowed hard befor replying. "I-i dont think so Malone, im not that brave!" she said rubbing her ams nervously. The butterflies were trying to flutter out of her stomach and it caused her to be a little figety. "I couldent stand up to monster, to save my friends life!" she said glancing over to Illumina then to the floor. "Im just not the kind of girl who can thro a punch, or have snappy come backs. I would probably had cried and said i was sorry if i managed to give that dragon the swift slapp in the face i wanted to give him." She sad red rising in her cheeks and a small laugh erupting from her. Emily couldent help but stair at the floor and traced the patters in the rug she and malone sat on.

Zack had gotten up from his seat and wanted to sleep, but most of all he wanted to check up on his sister. He was a terrible mess unable to thik straght. His sister could have been killed and he couldent bare to have that happen! So he went below to seak out the room his sister was in and wish her a good night before he would make himself confertable in a chair or something and protect both Emily and Mirabella from any late night intruders! Thanks to a few crew members Zack was able to finde the girl's room no problem.

Illumina and Mirabella watched as Malone comforted Emily in her time of need, Illumina let out a small smile as a remember popped in her head. "I am sorry, I shouldn't have asked for you all to come, it was too much to handle." she said looking at the ground and her arms sadly behind her back. Mirabella looked at the ground then at Illumina "I-Illmunia, I-I want you to tell me what happened b-between me, you, Talos and Jason. I-I want to know what happened." She said abruptly to Illmuina. Illmunia looked at Mirabella confused she didn't understand why she was interested in learning about her past now, especially that part of her past. "I-I don't know your highness, this is a little difficult for everyone to han-" Illumina stopped talking and started smellig the air, she turned and walked to the door and opened it. It was Zack standing outside the door "Mr. Zack? What are you doing here if I may ask?" Illumina said as she looked up slightly and backed away so he could enter the room. Mirabella turned and sat on one of the beds and looked at the ceiling of the ship, she then sat up and looked at Zack, playing with one of the braides Emily made earlier as she wanted to see what happened, because secretly she felt that she was responsible for everything that had happened. Mirabella thought what would have happened if she hadn't come here or to this planet period.
