Other: Mika and her dad moved here due to her father's work. She originally lived in a small town, and now she is coming to a bigger place. She is very optimistic and loves people and to make them happy.

Her parents brought her to school that day, since it was her first day at the new school. The brown haired girl step out of the black van, throwin the pink and black checkered bag over her shoulder. She wore a simple T-Shirt that said I Love NY, even though that wasn't where she was from, a pair of blue jeans and a pink hat. She waved to her parents as they drove off.

Mika took in a deep breath as she walked across the campus of her new school. This schol was pretty big, and she was used to small schools, so she felt out of place. She felt as if eyes were on her, she just wantned to hurry up and get inside. She soon made it through the doors of the school. Suprisingly, she managed to find her locker easily, placing her books in there along with her bag.

However, class was to start soon, and she had no ideas how to get to her first hour class which was Chemistry. She sighed, hating this new school already. She didn't like big places or crowds. It made her feel akward.

Nate sat that morning smoking, as almost every morning, on the brick wall near the entrance of school. He used the mornings to watch people as they greeted their friends, but something about today was different. Something with bright colours caught his eyes across the front plot.

A girl who clearly was new, was let out of what he assumed to only be her parent's van, he could read her shirt from here that said 'I Love NY', now she could actually be from the states, or as he always assumed it was an attempt to be 'trendy'. He lets the smoke bellow out of his mouth as he watches her enter the school.

This makes him wonder if she'll last, if she'll make friends fast. He needs to shake off the thoughts finding it was too many thoughts dedicated to someone he didn't even know anything about. After finishing his cigarette he hops off of the wall and proceeds inside after everyone else had gone in, he would be late for Chemistry but that was no matter, or different from any other day.

Mika began to ask some people how to get to the Chemistry calss, but appearently here people ignored the new girl. She pouted some, leaning against the wall. She used her index finger and her thumb to play with a strand of her hair, that is when she tried to make another atempt for directions. She noticed some guy, wearing dark clothes, but seemed nice enough.

Mika happily walked over to him, and smiled. "Hey, um. I'm new, and I am having trouble getting to my Chemistry class." She was standing infront of him so he couldn't walk away like the others did. "This school is so big, I barely managed to find my locker." She said with a slight laugh.

Mika was a naturally happy girl. Even if she was ignored a few times, that smile stayed on her face. Some people find it annoying that she comes off so happy. Mika was just that kind of girl who didn't focus on the negatives.

Nate had taken his usual route to class, not hurrying to say the least, he enjoyed the halls most when they were empty. He turns the corner cellphone in hand as he begins to input a text message, when something suddenly becomes in his way. When he looks up with a confused look on his face he finds the girl he had spotted earlier in front of him asking for directions.

"Hey, um. I'm new, and I am having trouble getting to my Chemistry class." "Clearly." Nate replies in a deep tone looking the girl up and down, there was no mistaking that she was new. He rolls his eyes at her explanation, most schools were large weren't they? He wishes to move past her without much more than what he said but she's in his way purposely trying to force out information.

"How am I supposed to know where your class is?" his voice is dry, it wasn't a wonder how Nate had become an outsider, and truth be told he had closed himself off to everyone now, and his attitude never turned out to be a friendly one.

Mika frowned some. She didn't get this at all. Mika then grabbed his shoulders. "Please...I know you probably don't want to be talking to the new girl, like most people here, just tell me where the Chemistry room is and I'll be on my way, Kay?" She smiled still. She didn't let got either, she wouldn't till he answered her.

Mika knew how to get her way. Even though she was one to avoid upsetting people, she would do anything it took to find the class, and being ignored like twenty other times made her more stubborn. Mika didn't know what his problem was, or what she did in the first place to bother him, but she continued acting her friendsly self.

Nate looks to either side of his shoulders to find that he was being held still, he was shocked that a new girl such as her would be so daring and hold him to the spot for a simple question. He shrugs her grip off of his strong shoulders, and lets out a heavy sigh, "Only because you're so persistent," he eyes her annoyed.

Nate moves past her without another word, or look for that matter. After a short time he turns into the Chemistry class making his way to the last open table hoping that the new girl wouldn't have to sit next to him as already Nate didn't have the best first impression.

Mika blinked, looking at him, confused. She then followed him silently. Her hands infront of her. She stopped at the door when he went in. She peeked in, all the people. She couldn't handle that many people staring at her. She took in a deep breath and walked in, she was going to move to the first empty chair, but she was stopped by the teacher.

"Miss Joan, Welcome, please introduce yourself to the class." Mika frowned, but smiled again, wanting to come off friendly. She stood infront of the class. "Hello, My name is Mika Joan, and I hope to become friends with you all." She nodded and scurried to the back, but only found one empty chair by the guy from earlier. "Um...mind if I sit here.." She really had no choice and neither did he.

Nate watches as she is forced to introduce herself, he does have to scoff at her idea of making friends so easily here, to him it seemed incredibly naive. He watches now as he approaches him which makes him lean back in his chair unimpressed, of course she would have to sit next to him, there was no where else to go.

"You ask as if I have a choice..." he says dryly as he kicks out the chair for her to sit down in.

Mika smiled and nodded. "Thank you." She sat down in the chair he moved out for her. She then set her stuff down, looking back over to him. "So tell me, what's your name? That way I can thank you properly for showing me to class." She smiled some and then leaned foward abit. "I can tell you're no a people person are you?" She smiled and shook her head. "We'll have to fix that.
