Margaret wasn't sure what had woken her. She supposed it could be time for her to take her turn standing sentinel, but it was much too warm for it to be time for her to wake... Tradition dictated that they be woken on the winter solstice. It was only fitting that they wake on the longest night of the year. The air was too warm, and oddly humid, which led her to believe that it was summertime.

Something was wrong, and she didn't know what.

Reaching out a hand, she gently pushed the lid of her coffin-like bed open and sat up to see what was going on.

This was not going well at all.. Mongrels had stormed the resting chamber in an attempt to kill the elders while they slept. This hadn't gone completely to plan though, Aleksandria had been woken early due to the current elders murder. Though she'd not been awake long before the mongrels attacked.

But it was not only the mongrels storming the resting chamber tonight, there were a couple of hunters around too which was going to complicate things.

Despite fighting valiantly to defend the other sleeping elders, Aleksandria failed. There were just far too many mongrels for her to slay. They overwhelmed her and left her battered and bleeding on the floor. It may not have been much, but during the fight she'd purposly jumped over several of the coffins, hoping her blood would drip and the smell would rouse the other elders from their slumber.

But now, unable to move, the female slumped against the wall, all she could do now was wait and hope the others would wake up. If not.. well there would be trouble.

It was at this point that another hunter entered the room and wasted little time in slaughtering a good number of the mongrels. A human male armed to the teeth.

Margaret rose from her bed just in time to see the hunter dart into the room and slaughter a pack of mongrels. Was that what had woken her? A pack of mongrels in the resting chamber? She glanced around the room, and saw Aleksandria slumped against the wall. Margaret's eyes widened. What exactly was going on? A fast glance at the hunter told her that he was still engaged in the remaining mongrels, so Margaret felt safe enough to make her way to Aleksandria. She didn't care that she was still only in her sleeping gown as she darted over to the other elder.
