It was the start of the winter break and Molly couldn't have been happier. She had driven down to visit her grandparents for the Christmas holiday. It was great. She missed the small town she had spent her early childhood in. Grabbing her jacket from the rack by the door, Molly pulled it on over her nice green blouse and jeans. "Grandpa, I'm going out to the cafe okay?" She called into the living room, but she didn't wait for an answer before she slipped out teh door, buttoning up her coat.
Molly walked down the street of the small town, getting to the main road. She needed to buy a card for her best friend back home, she had forgotten to get it earlier. A cold wind blew Molly's blond hair about her face and she did her best to tuck it back behind her ear. It was surprising the amount of snow the small town had. A good six inches laid in the yards and on the houses, it had been an exceptionally good year for the small North Carolina town. Molly grinned at the thought, she loved snow.
Once on the main road, Molly found the convenient store and went in to purchase her card. It was a cute little sentimental card that made her smile. But the smile was quick to fade as she saw a couple buying cards just a few feet away. Molly had never been that good with guys, all the ones in school were so immature and rude. Nothing she wanted to put up with. She sighed and took her card to the counter to pay.
"Thank you!" Molly smiled as she took her tiny bag and headed out the door. A cold wind almost blew the door shut on her, so she looked down to do more buttons on her coat. While looking down she walked out and right into some poor person on the side walk. The contact had caught Molly so off guard, she fell down to the snowy sidewalk.
((hope that's an okay first post))
