Okay, so this will be our first roleplay together! :boogie:

First off, we make an introduction. What you'll see a lot of people doing is posting a profile in such a way:

Quote:
Name: Blah
Age: 12
Race: Cat person
Picture: (some anime picture)
It's the most common method, but also the easiest since it gives a limited description. However, if you want to roleplay fur realz, give your introduction in story format (like how an author would describe a character). But just to make reading it easier, you can break the description into different sections like I'll be doing in my introduction. :)

-----

Name: Princess Aria Shields
Age: 19
Appearance: Aria is a girl of small stature. Her fierce blue eyes take on the crisp hue of northern glaciers and her rosy lips are frequently trapped in a smile of politeness. Her long, blonde hair--kept together in two separate braids--cascades down her chest and ends around her waistline. She is constantly clothed in bright dresses to enhance her features and also to display her royal status.

Yes, this description is very basic, but that's only because Aria's backstory and personality will be revealed as the roleplay progresses. Do you get the gist, baby? :XD

If so, you can post your introduction next and then I'll start us off on the roleplay, okay? :)

Aria sat by her windowsill, her eyes gazing upon the bright green pastures beyond the castle walls. Ordinarily, she would have interpereted the brilliant rays of sunlight and warm temperatures as signs of a good day. However, she paid no heed to the outside phenomena; instead, she reflected inwardly upon the multitude of thoughts swarming about in her head. Her fingers unwittingly played with one of her braids as she thought about a conversation she overheard earlier that day.

"Lenora, our daughter seems to have flowered into a beautiful woman," she remembered her father saying as she pressed her ear against the entrance to her parents bedchamber.

"Why, yes, Roarin," her mother replied. "She has been capturing the eye of every man within Townshend."

Roarin chuckled at that. "Perhaps it is about time we find her a suitor before some other rascal claims her," he mused.

"I've heard that Lord Ferdinand of Elysia has a son in need of a wife. In these hard times, Townshend requires an ally and with Elysia being our neighbor, we shall soon be a force to be reckoned--"

Aria pushed the thought out of her mind and turned to her mirror, inspecting her emerald dress as it gently framed her body. She stroked one of her braids thoughtfully, pondering over her father's statement. She noticed some of her more feminine features and realized that her father was right; she was fully a woman, now. Although her admission into womanhood excited her, dread filled Aria's heart at what this would mean for her. In order to gain more stature in a world ruled by chaos, her parents would sell her off to the Elysian prince. Aria wrinkled her nose at the thought. She remembered meeting Ferdinand's son at a ball when she was seven years old. The boy appeared quite snobby and his cheeks were constantly stuffed with sweets. He was also seen with his finger up his nose at all times. She couldn't even imagine being married to such a person.

Aria suddenly stood up and headed for the door, grabbing a shawl off its hook and wrapping it over her delicate shoulders. She needed to get out of the castle and get some fresh air to cleanse her mind. "I'm headed to the market," she told one of the watchguards. He obliged, opening the castle's massive doors for her passage.

Perhaps browsing the produce and watching the townspeople will clear my mind, she pondered, walking down a pebbled path towards the bustling village of Townshend.

Rale was walking the streets of the market place lost in thought. He was one to think to himself more than talk to others. He would walk the market and look at everything in the stores but never buy anything. He wasn't from a wealthy family. In fact he didn't have much family left.

Rale was originally from a different kingdom, which is where he lost the majority of his family. Most of his family died in a rebellion. But he tried to keep his mind off of it.

Rales' thoughts were interupted by some murmers of the princess Aria walking around town. He'd always wanted to see what the big deal was. He tried asking where he might find her but, his questions fell on deaf ears. With no help he decided it was best to search first near the castle.

((Ahh! :D You're already good at this!))

Aria smiled as she entered the marketplace. People were everywhere to be seen, buying, selling, and haggling their way into business. She noticed some foreign caravans peddling exotic items and realized that this was the week when merchants from all the different nations assembled in the village.

As she went to inspect some fine silk gowns, a strange sensation crept through her body; she felt as though someone was staring at her. Slowly, she turned her blonde head and glanced behind her. Lo' and behold, a man with lush brown hair stood a few yards behind her, his fierce brown eyes looking straight at her. Aria felt her face flush and she quickly turned back to the silks. She reached for the shawl on her shoulders and pulled it in front of her face, attempting to blend in with the commoners.

Such a futile move, she thought to herself as she remembered the brilliant emerald dress adorning her. She lowered her shawl and continued to browse about, but she still felt the man's eyes burning into her. She tried shrugging it off; a lot of people looked at her, but would rarely initiate conversation. If this man wishes to have words with me, then he shall approach and do so..., she pondered confidently.

((Eh, she's starting to sound kind of snobby. P: I bet Rale can soften her up, though.))

Rale's eyes were fixated on the girl in the emerald dress. "Could that be her?" he pondered to himself. He began to push his way through the crowd towards the girl, angering several people with his rudeness. But he couldn't stop seeing the glimpse of her face in his mind. He had to meet her. Finally he laid his hand on her shoulder and she turned to face him. Dumbfounded by her beauty he stumbled for words.

Aria suddenly felt a firm hand grip her shoulder and she almost jumped in fright. She immediately knew that it was the same man with the unwavering brown eyes. She was shocked by his sudden touch; no man had ever placed a hand on her, mostly due to the fact that she was the daughter of one of the strongest lords in the world. But this man had no fear.

As she turned to face him, his calm eyes penetrated deeply into her own and butterflies danced about in her stomach. She felt her face flush to a deep red as the man gazed upon her, speaking nary a word. Something about this man ignited a feeling the princess never felt in her life.

The feeling died down as swiftly as it appeared and Aria shook her shoulder free from the man's hand. "How dare you lay a hand on me?" she hissed. "You should know that it is a crime punishable by death to touch the daughter of Lord Richard of Townshend."

The princess felt a vicious fire burning within her, replacing the earlier sensation that tied knots in her stomach and sent a pleasant heat throughout her. Along with this angry flame, shivers of fear racked her body and she attempted to still her teeth from chattering. It was a rare event when Aria came to encounter someone outside of the castle and her lack of knowledge of commoners kindled her defense mechanism: anger.

Rale paying no attention to her threats and anger, layed his hand on his waist. "I meant no harm." he said looking over her facial features. "You're truly the daughter of lord Richard?" though he knew the answer to this question. "I only wished to meet you, perhaps befriend you, if you would allow it." Rale was fighting not to act over eager.

(Sorry its so short. I couldn't think what to add. I'm not a pro like you baby! But im trying!)

((It's otay, baby. c: We all have those days.))

Aria felt a smirk unfold on her lips and she gazed upon the man before her, leaving a moment of silence between them. She outstretched her arm towards him, her fingers lightly brushing against his hand. "Entertain me," she said, smiling at him and batting her eyelashes. "If you so wish to befriend me, then we should learn more about each other." She hooked her slender arm around the man's and began leading him further down the cobbled path and away from the commotion of the marketplace. "But first," she said, stroking his hand gently, "what shall I call you, good sir?"

"Well princess, you may call me Rale." He said jokingly. "And as for entertainment, what is it that the princess of Townshend enjoys? I presume you have some hobbies outside of the castle. Or shall I suprise you?" He asked playfully.

(your turn!)

"I usually enjoy taking a stroll through the castle gardens or sitting by the river near the marketplace and watching the fish swim about. But as long as I'm out of the castle, I'm happy." She laughed quietly to herself. "So, sir Rale," she began, "What brings you to this humble town? Are you searching for an occupation? Adventure? Or perhaps love?" The princess turned to look at the man beside her, grinning slyly at him.

"Well the river it is. As for why I am here, I do not seek an occupation. Im a jack of all trades." He paused and looked at the princess before answering her last questions."As for adventure everyday is an adventure, and love is an adventure in itself. And I do so love a good adventure." He said smiling a sly smile back at her.

Aria chuckled quietly and turned her head forward, watching some birds flit about among the trees. "As do I," she replied. "But you're still avoiding my question. Surely you must have some reason for coming here...Or do you not wish to confide in me?" A soft laugh escaped her lips. "Silly me, here we have just met and I'm already digging my nose in others' business. You do not have to tell me, sir Rale. Come, the river lies just up ahead."

The pair approached the bubbling stream as birdsong echoed in the canopy above them. The princess led Rale to a large boulder with a smooth surface and took a seat, ushering him to do the same.

"Look here," she said, pointing at the glitter of scales shimmering under the water's surface. "A school of fish is passing by. It is said that if a man can pluck one from the river with his bare hands, then he is proven to be a most desirable man indeed. A man with incredible skill, desired by the strongest armies and the most beautiful bachelorettes. Often, the Townshend army uses this to test recruits to see if they are worthy of joining their ranks."

Her eyes continued to watch the stream when something suddenly caught her eye. "Oh my! That fish, there! See the patch of pink scales on its body? It's in the shape of a heart. Isn't that remarkable?"
