Name: Alton Seriph
Age: 21
Personality: Quiet, sad, a loner, but always polite, jittery
Background: He had the perfect childhood, a loving family, friends, good school, always had enough of anything he wanted or especially needed. That was until it all shattered. A man who had loved his mother, and lost to his father came one night. He had finally snapped and lamed it all upon his parents. He kidnapped the whole family. He was forced to watch as he did horrible things to his parents, finally killing them. Then the madman turned upon him. Thankfully he didn't do as much to Alton, but wanted to raise him in his own sadistic sense of fatherhood. It was several months before the man was busted, but he escaped when they tried to take him to the police headquarters. He then was raised by a very old and senile Aunt during high school. Now he has his own apartment and is attending college. He tries to keep everything that happened in a little box he keeps hidden in his kitchen drawer Newspaper articles, photos, doctors and psychiatrist bills all within. A physical thing he could put away as if to make it not a part of him.
Likes/dislikes/weakness: Fears strangers, especially men, distrusts love, he likes the sunrise, anything soft like how he remembers his mother's hair.
Alton tried to look invisible as the bell rang. Kids jumped up, leaving the high school room in a dash. Hurry to chat with friends or to catch a community bus. The streets of the old city were narrow in many places but He did like the beauty of Dublin. Especially once he got out onto the green hills past the city. It was different then America. That he was doubly grateful. It was harder for him to see flash backs, when nothing here really reminded him of the place he grew up in. He shook his head, he would not think of those things.
He slouched out the building, quiet and careful, like he was a tracker on a grand hunt but his pose was more like prey than hunter. He walked carefully trying to avoid the other kids. Fortune seemed to have left him however. A Gang of rather large boys stood near the only gate. They sneered when they saw him.
"Hey little long tails a little late today." The leader of the group sneered. He grabbed his long ponytail, the item of his "nickname". The others rounded him, pulling them with them as they left the school grounds. They led him down a narrow alleyway.
"We found a new color for you and your tail." The leader cried in delight as he was led off. He gestured to one of the others to grab a pail they had obviously left. It was filled with something black and slimy. This bucket was handed to the leader then with a pull, dumped over the back of his head, soaking him in whatever it was. He remained quiet. Cries would only encourage them but he couldn't help the shivers of fear as he closed his eyes tightly. The stood watching the liquid soak in drip and stain his clothes, then left with a round of high fives and cat calls.
As soon as they left eh alleyway, he fell to his knees sobbing.

Name: Niraly
Age: 254
Personality: Nira is a very gentler person, she likes to help others and do all she can to protect people. She has a silly side where she likes to roll, jump and play tricks on people. But all in all, she’s a good person. If anyone harms the people she comes to care for, she will become terrifying and violent, using her fox prowess to solve any problems they cause.
Background: Nira was once a young human girl, who was considered a great beauty. She traveled with her merchant father and loved every moment of it. When she was 16 they came across a band of gypsies who robbed them blind and took them with the intend to selling them to slavers. But the husband of the fortuneteller and witch of the gypsies fell for the girl and tried to woo her. Nira refused but the angry wife, when she found out about her husband’s treachery cast a curse upon the girl, forcing her into the body of a white fox. Nira was thrown out and continued to travel the world for many decades not understanding why she had not yet died. But over the years, she discovered, that she could not die. If she was shot, the bullet was pushed from her body and she got back up, if a limb was removed, it grew back. She was trapped in this body for the rest of eternity. Only when the moon touched her, could she become herself again, but the moment the moon was hidden or left for the night, she would return to her Fox form.
Likes- the moon, water, scratches
Dislikes/weakness-No moon
Unbeknownst to the young man, a white figure glinted in the shadows. Two large blue eyes watched as he fell to the ground in tears. After a few moments of watching a white nose nudged the boy’s hands gently. A white fox with Icy blue eyes looked kindly at the guy, eyes large, ears erect as it sat in front of him on the concrete.
It tilted it’s head to one side before leaning forward and nosing him again. It certainly seemed tame. It’s fur was well kept and smooth, glinting gently in the sun. It had no indications of owning to someone, but it definitely meant him no harm as it stared wide eyed at the boy.
Nira always wished she could speak in this form, but really, she was an animal, and animals couldn’t speak. She hated seeing people abused and sad. She always felt that there must be something she could do to make them feel better, to improve their disposition. This guy seemed like he needed someone to make him feel better. And not just in this one moment, there was a lingering sadness, an eternal sadness, brought on by some thing that had happened long ago, something that broke his joy.
She leaned forward to sniff at the black liquid on him, not sure what to make of it. Was this edible, or just some kind of oil?

((Hmm images Aren't working for me))
It took him a minute to notice the gently nudging, looking over, he gasped in shock. He thought maybe a stray cat begging for food, but this was no cat.
"beautiful..." He muttered staring at the little fox. It's fur was as white as snow and seemed to shine. awed he carefully and slowly put a hand out toward the creatures head. Careful not to use a hand not soaked in the stuff that was dumped on him. He had an idea for what it was now. A bit had gotten to his mouth and the smell was recognizable to him. He thought it was soy sauce. Where the boys had come up with a bucket of the stuff he had no idea. He didn't think the boys would use something harmful though. They were rude and liked pranks, but they never beat anyone or did anything that could get them into real trouble. Still their words and actions hurt, but he lived with it. It was just another pain to lock away and he was used to that.
He looked toward the fox, his hand a little shaky. When the creature didn't go to bite for him. He gently brushed the fur on top of the foxes head with gentle fingers.
"your so soft...." He gave a little smile, a bit of joy seemed to flicker within him.

If foxes could smile, she would have. Instead she leaned forward to nuzzle his face. This boy, he needed love, she could see it, and there was no reason not to give it to him. She sniffed the stuff again before gently starting to lick it off of him, or at least what had gotten on his face. She couldn’t get it all, it might make her sick, but she would try to at least get a little.
When his face was as clean as her little tongue could get it she could get it she sat back down in front of him, leaning into his hand like a cat would. She liked being petted, it felt good and he didn’t seem the type to hurt or imprison her, take her home, maybe, but never hurt her. Now the people who had found her and put her in the zoo for such a long time, she didn’t like them, but she’d managed to avoid them for several months now and she would continue to do so.

He almost laughed, the feeling of the little tongue was very ticklish. Still it would not come. It was like it was blocked, not making it out of his lungs. He dug his hands into her sleek fur, relishing in the texture. Such a beautuful creature. He wondered how she kept is so clean. At least he thought it was a she, he didn't really want to check but a quick glance didn't see anything male about her.
Perhaps it was the despair for someone who loved him not just because they should, but just because they wanted to. He started talking to the little fox. "hello, I wish I knew your name. Mine's Alton. I'm so glad you showed up. I was having a bad day again." He looked into the foxes eyes. Somehow they seemed very keen and intelligent. Then he took a whiff. He smelled of the stuff that was on him.
"Gah, I'm all icky. I don't want to get your pretty fur dirty. I should probably go home and take a bath. I don't suppose you want to come with me?" He asked her, standing up, brushing off what little dirt that was dry.

She tilted her head to one side. She wished she could speak in this form instead, she just stood up and walked toward the direction she had seen him walking before and stopped looking back at him. She didn’t know where he lived, he would have to show her.
She certainly didn’t mind going home with him. He seemed nice enough and if she could do something to help him feel better, she would. She rarely ran into nice people, and her instincts usually warned her if someone was dangerous, so she avoided those types. But the nice ones, she like them, they made her feel like she was human again, speaking to her like a real person, sharing their worries and thoughts. But she hadn’t met someone like that in a long time.

"Well I guess if you follow me home, I can't have claimed to have taken you against your will." He watched as he walked toward home, eying the fox companion he now seemed to have. He wondered about her in his head.
'Why would a fox be so friendly? Was this one tamed and then thrown out or lost? She's so pretty, not much like the ones I have seen in photos....' he decided he would need to look up more about foxes. He had no clue as to their tendencies.
"Well I bet Aunty won't even notice you. about all she does is drool in front of the TV. thank goodness she goes to bed and the bathroom by herself. It will be nice to have another presence around. that is, if you want to come in...." he wasn't sure why but he seemed to want to talk to her like she understood. He shrugged, not letting it bother him. He wasn't almost there. He could see the house nestled amongst the trees on the country lane.
"There it is.... not much, but at least someone took me in..." a bit of sadness overcame him before he could shove the past back into the corner of his mind.

(Sorry, things got a little crazy, I am back now though)
The white fox followed behind him happily, prancing like a prized pedigree dog. She didn’t know where they were going, but when the got there she didn’t seem perturbed at all, simply followed him into the house. It smelt like old people…and spit.
In his brief moment of sadness, the fox seemed to just know that he was sad and went to gently nose his hand before moving forward and beginning to sniff around the place, eventually reaching the bathroom. At which point, she gently grabbed his shirt in her teeth and started pulling him toward the bathtub. That soy sauce smelt awful; he desperately needed a bath.

((what a newly married mother in a tough economy has a unstable life? Nonsense! :D ))
He Patted her head gently gaining the comfort from her touch. It gave him the extra strength to tightly wall away the sadness once again.
"your a good girl." He said to her fondly. He watched as she looked around wondering what the little fox thought of the place. He almost laughed again when she began pulling at him.
"what? Ohhhh the bathroom. Yeah getting cleaned up is a good idea. Your very clever, even for the phrase. Hmm perhaps the phrase 'as clever as a fox', really has merit. He soon starting getting things ready. Turned on the bath water, plugging the hole when it was to the temperature that he liked. Then grabbed a towel from off the bathroom shelf. While he waited for the tub to fill he looked himself over in the mirror.
"It could be worse, it's just messy." He thought about how the dark stains covering him could be blood instead. He shivered at the thought. He turned around to turn off the water. the tub filled pretty quickly, and it looked very inviting. He grabbed the hem of his shirt pausing for a moment, looking over toward the fox.
"Uhm, I'm gonna get in now so uhm, if you don't uhm...." he blushed thinking about how silly he was. What would a fox think of him undressed as to being dressed? Still something within him thought of her more as a person than an animal.

Oddly enough, the fox had turned her head the moment he reached for his shirt hem. She had sat with her back completely to him and her eyes closed, head bowed down. She obviously had no interest in seeing him nude. She stayed just like that during his entire bath as well and didn’t turn until he gave her the okay.
Immediately after, she got up in her hind legs to open the bathroom door before sniffing out his bedroom. It wasn’t hard to find with her foxy sense of smell. And the moment she entered she started sniffing the whole room, nosing at things and in general exploring. When she was certain she had found everything there was to find she jumped onto the foot of his bed and curled up like a big furry snowball. Only her large, ice blue eyes looked up from the fluffy mass, indicating where her head was.
In her mind she had officially claimed the teenager as her person, and she would stay with him until either someone stole her away or he died of old age.

He scrubbed his body, imagining the incident to wash down the drain along with the grit and grime. He washed his hair as well, leaving it smelling of mint and rosemary. Soon he was done, a towel around his waist, plodding back to his room. For the moment he had forgotten about his new companion, as he was single minded on his task. When he saw her curled up on his bed, he managed a smile.
"made yourself comfortable? Good." He walked past her getting some comfortable clothes out of his dresser. He had no inversions this time on changing. Once he was done, he plopped down on the bed next to her, laying back and letting his muscles and stress relax.
"Much better." He sighed as he got more comfortable, a hand reaching out to pet the foxes soft fur.

The fox closed her eyes as he changed, her nose buried in her bushy tail. As he sat beside her and started to pet her she slowly scooted over to him and placed her head on his lap. She liked being petted, it felt nice.
She wasn’t sure what it was about this boy, but there was something sad, lonely, hurt. She wanted to make him feel better, to ensure that his life would be a nice one. Her life was eternal, so she had nothing else to do besides wander and help others. She loved to help others, it was nice knowing that she could do something for someone to make their life a little brighter.
