Zeph smiled as the guy who introduced himself as Aiden joined her in the kitchen. She scooted over to give him some counter space to work with. "That'd be great, I could use someone with mad kitchen skills. So, what do you think we should make? Show me what you've got," she said with a wink, a smile playing across her lips while she checked the fridge for beverage options. "I'm thinking we can start with a salad, you know, something for the masses to munch on while we're working on the main dish? What do you think?"

Dmitri Blair 01-18-2011 03:12 AM

Sighing as he closed the door to the room, hearing the conversation and other going ons downstairs. Ambling down the stairs after another girl, Kalipso bit his lip. "And I'm Kalipso..." His voice was clear, but his accent laced it, making it a little difficult to understand. On top of that, his slight stutter. 'Greeeat... Way to make an impression, Maelivi..' But either way, he made his way into the room with the others. Naturally, he began to feel claustrophobic, but he made his way to Glyn, the boy from earlier. If there was anyone he would want to consider an ally while in this rehabilitation hell, it was going to be Glyn. Blinking a few times, he glanced around the room, trying to remember the names he overheard, but none really rang out. Gently, Kalipso leaned into Glyn, biting the inside of his lip. He needed support and he felt nothing for anyone else yet.

"Oh... Food... I'm vegan.." The conversation of food and dinner came up far too abruptly for him, making Kalipso feel slightly unwanted, but he disregarded it. After all, that was a normal feeling. He was pretty much worthless anyway.

Hresvelgr 01-18-2011 03:26 PM

Quickly people around the room noticed her name, some even mentioning it out loud. Including a male by the name of Stark. Although Xylia was not sure what to even make of him. Champion Archer? What could he be addicted to? Then again, he seemed to be very warm towards her since she had even walked in the door. She had it.

"Sorry Mr. Stark, your not getting any."
She said very quietly, so only he could hear. Maybe a few people around him. "Besides," She said a bit louder this time, though not by much. Maybe just to a normal tone of voice, "Whoever said they were preposterous rumors." Xylia said to him. She was probably a bit rude, but hey. She did not enjoy someone warming up to her so fast. She kept her mouth shut as others introduced themselves. She could even hear a faint beautiful voice by the stairs. Xylia started to head in that direction, figuring the rooms were upstairs.

"You have a beautiful voice Miss Black." Xylia said to her with a slight smile before heading up stairs. Carrying her bag to the seemly open room there was left. It was simple compared to the others, but that was alright. It had a nice view of the mountains. It would be a nice place to go running in the morning. Xylia did not care how cold it was, she went running every morning at 5am. Well when she was sober at least. Making her a very fit girl.

Xylia came back downstairs after throwing her bags near the base of the bed, and closing the door. Hearing a few more names and a call for dinner preferences. Although Xylia did not say anything since she could honestly care less what she was shoving in her mouth... yeah. She wasn't very picky.

Feeling accomplished, Glyn let out a sigh, letting his legs slide down the table so he was sitting atop it. That went well...he thought. He had gotten everyone out of their little shells to at the least introduce themselves...that, and those two began to make dinner. He smiled to himself. Not bad for the first day of Winterland...

Someone's pressure against him made his gaze turn to the boy he had begun to like, making him smile...it was the kind of smile he hated. He didn't know if it were real or not. Something about this lonely person...he...he bit his lip, resuming his smile as he placed his hand on the top of Kalipso's head in a friendly manner. "Hey~..."

Andraus 01-18-2011 08:16 PM

"Sorry Miss, wasent Trying to be Rude...."stark bites the inside of his Jaw " What were you sent here for?" trying to make friendly Conversation

Jacob looked around analyzing. Her mind often got the best of her and Jacob hadn't said a word since she introduced herself. It seemed everyone formed and parted into their direction of groups. Gabe wasn't getting the girls like he wanted to be he stood next to her side. He looked a bit uncomfortable. Then again weren't they all? Well, they didn't look like it as much. Jacob plopped down on the couch with a light sigh and leaned her head back and her bangs flopped into her face. Even though she was asleep through the whole car ride here she still felt like she hadn't gotten any sleep in days. Yes, she was one of those people who could actually sleep for days and stay up only a few hours and beg to go back to sleep.

Gabe looked at his sister with a funny look. Jacob almost always fit in but she was uncomfortable. Her copied her movement and plopped beside her wrapping his arm around her shoulder and shaking her slightly with a crooked smile.

"Whats wrong miss talk a lot?" Jacob looked at him and rose an eyebrow. "Well, you look uncomfortable here."

"You do to. Otherwise you would have had your shirt off and showing off your muscles like the idiot you usually are." Jacob smiled. It was true. Almost every party she went to with her brother he always had his shirt off and a girl clinging to his side. Now they were clinging to each other.

AliceinZombieland 01-19-2011 01:21 AM

Joseph stretched, then folded his arms across his chest, surveying the room. Yep, it was suitable. Now that he was out of his insane organization mode, he could hear voices down the hall in the main room they had first entered. Guessing that people were getting to know each other (Or maybe there was a fight already) he decided he had played the hermit long enough. He might as well go meet and greet. Glancing over the room one last time, he quietly exited, shutting the door behind him. His bare feet made no noise against the cool flooring as he walked into the gathering's self-appointed "main room". People seemed to have quieted down some, making quiet chatter Again. Whatever it was, Joseph seemed to have missed it. A flicker of a pout flashed across his face, but was gone a second later as he caught sight of the familiar Zeph. Her back was to him though, so he suppressed the urge to wave. Instead he trotted over to a pretty redhead who seemed to have entered just before him.

"Are we having fun yet?" he asked with a playful smile before holding out his hand. "I think I missed roll call. I'm Joseph Erickson, but everyone calls me Motor. May I ask your name?"

----------------------------------------------

Zeph smiled and winked at the quiet boy with the messy pink and black hair. "Vegan, gotcha. That means no milk and eggs too, huh? Guess I won't be making cupcakes," she teased, but she smiled kindly at him to take most of the bite off. "I'll see what we can do, but if we have to, I'll cook something up special, just for you. I respect a guy who respects life," she called back over her shoulder, then she began humming and looking through pantries for some vegan-friendly meals. She could always try a vegetable stir-fry. She glanced at her "partner in crime", wondering what his input would be. She had hardly had a moment to hear his answer yet.

Andraus 01-19-2011 01:26 AM

"Hey sis" Stark said looking for his sister amoungest the Crowd but not finding her

Samantha sat by the the guy gabe and his Sister "Hi there! Im Samantha but you Can call me Sam " She said smiling kindly

Dmitri Blair 01-19-2011 01:29 AM

Kalipso smiled slightly in return as Glyn said hello and touched his head. However, one of the girls made a comment towards him. "You can make the cupcakes. I can fend for myself.. Don't worry.. I don't wanna be a burden on anyone.." He vocalized just barely loud enough that the other could hear, not used to raising his voice toward anyone but his parents. Nevertheless, he felt like he had yelled, mumbling an apology to those others in the room. He shrunk down to sit on the floor, crossing his legs indian style, like children do in elementary school. "So.. Rehab..." he spoke quietly, shaking his head as he looked around the room at the others.

Another Mad Bloke 01-19-2011 02:06 AM

"Ne, I wouldn't call it rehab," Glyn remarked, his knee raising up to his chest, his arms wrapping around it, like it were a suitable substitute for a person. "It's more like an adolescent dump for the last generation..." he laughed slightly, shaking his head at his lame joke. His humor was always that way to him...sometimes it was the only thing to entertain him, remarking at his own patheticness...

He smiled, returning his gaze to Kalipso. "So...may I ask? What's your real name? Or at least your legal one," he asked, wincing at himself...greeaaat. Way to almost ruin your first encounter with a potential friend with your rambling about yourself..."S-sorry...it's just...you seem nice enough..."

Eiiri 01-19-2011 02:17 AM

Aiden looked in the refrigerator to see what they had to work with. It was fully stocked with food, both the good kind and the bad kind. He guessed that they figured that once they started going through withdrawal they'd want snack food. "That sounds like a good idea, plus its pretty easy," he said, getting out the salad mix and pouring it into a bowl. He set it on a counter, then moved out of the way of the new person in the room.

He noted that Kalipso was a vegan, not something he was used to. He and his mom would eat just about anything. "So, what do you want to make? I'll back you up," he told her, not able to come up with anything to make.

Dmitri Blair 01-19-2011 02:31 AM

Glancing over at Glyn, who was hugging his legs to his chest in an adorable, yet slightly sad manner. Laughing slightly at the joke, even though it was clear that Glyn did not find it funny at all. "Well.. technically, my birth name is Maelivi.. Maelivi Kalip Wesvrir.." It was a mouthful, and with his accent, it just sounded awkward. "I prefer Kalipso because it is easier to say than Maelivi.."

(Side note. It is pronounced may-lee-vee kah-leep wess-vreer)

AliceinZombieland 01-19-2011 03:02 AM

She started going through the cupboards again, reevaluating with the new information in mind. She found some vegan-friendly noodles and a plan began to formulate. She started pulling out fresh tomatoes from the fridge along with onions, mushrooms, garlic and spices from the spice rack. She found a cutting board and pulled that out too.

"How about some spinach tortellini with garlic and herb sauce! Easy to make, and we can make the sauce fresh to guarantee vegan-friendliness! We can probably even make some garlic bread for those who partake. Objections?" She turned to the quietly murmuring masses, raising her voices so they could all hear her. "Listen up! Dinner will start with a light salad, compliments of "Pre-tossed Salad Mix", followed by the main course. The special tonight is Spinach Tortellini topped with a freshly-made Garlic and Herb sauce! Optional sides include Toast a la Garlic! Any objections?"

Hresvelgr 01-19-2011 03:59 AM

As she came into the main room again, she was approached by Stark. This time apologizing. Although she did crack a light smile.... until he asked her what she was there for. Another point against Stark. It was a bit unexpected. Someone addicted to sex would have far better people skills. She simply let out a light sigh. Controlling about thirty outburst she could have blown in his face. Either way he seemed to loose interest, and went to speak with his sister, Sam.

Another boy came over to her right away. His hair being the first thing she noticed. It was messy. Was he active? Enjoyed always doing something. He was an addict though. Xylia could see it in his eyes. He was missing something. Although since he was hiding during roll-call as he called it, he probably was not into the typical drugs. Since typically you did those with a crowd. No, he enjoyed something different.

"A blast. Simply can not wait for the strippers to arrive." Xylia said cracking a small joke. Although her tone was completely serious. She took his hand, shaking it as he introduced himself.

"Xylona Knoxville. Call me Xylia for short." She heard the dinner plan for that night. It sounded very good. Making Xylia have no complaints. She was a horrible cook herself, so she would simply help clean up after dinner. Shaking Moter's hand she realized how strong he was.

"Someone enjoys the gym." Xylia said to him, laughing lightly, realizing how bad that sounded. Although she did not bother to come up with a silly excuse. Since she did mean it. "I run myself whenever I get the chance."

Andraus 01-19-2011 12:28 PM

Taps Xylias Shoulder "Hey Xylia, I ask Everyone This but Why were you sent here?"

Another Mad Bloke 01-19-2011 03:51 PM

Glyn couldn’t help but stare at the boy, surprised. “I would die for that to be my name…” He bit his lip again. “Well, at least my legal name…something like that compared to just plain Travis…” He smiled, but it was the kind of smile that was pained in the center. “I really can’t tell you how jealous I am of you…”
‘This, and how much I’m holding back to adore you…’ he secretly thought, averting his eyes in the direction of somewhere else…which, unfortunately, was nowhere…to softly comfort himself, he began humming a rather sad tune, repeating the line “It’s okay to feel lost…” numerous times…how ironic, ne?

{{SORRY I HAVN”T POSTED. I now only have a school desktop to work from every a day. Sigh I’ll try and fix my laptop soon guys}}

Rayn had pulled out her ear plugs to her this Mason talk. "Yes nice to meet you...too..."She saw his attention divert for just a moment before she mentally sighed when she hear the new voices. 'Great more annoyances.' "I'll be on my way now."She brushed based him with out touching his hand. She hated talking with people, but what she hated most was contact; it reminded her of to much. When their shoulders brushed she held her breath, shivered, and tensed all at the same time as she made her escape. She looked trough out the house like a shadow, and listened for where everyone was. She decided she would just be the bug on the wall in the house, let everyone forget she was here, and then leave indifferent. She walked to the balcony back porch thing. She wasn't to sure what it was, but it let her breath some fresh, crispy, cold as hell air. She sighed, put her ear plugs back in. She leaned up against the railing and hummed silently to herself as she stared off at the mountains and sky daydreaming of her mom a bit.

AliceinZombieland 01-19-2011 08:00 PM

Joseph bristled a little when the boy arrived and immediately asked the girl what she got sent here for. He frowned, raising his eyebrows slightly at the kid before stepping forward a bit. "Hey man, that's kind of a really personal question. Maybe you should save it for when we're all settled in here a bit and have known each other a little better," he said before turning back to Xylia. "Unless you don't mind, I mean. I just...it seems really intrusive to me for a stranger to be asking that, even if we are going to be living together." He shrugged his shoulders and decided to return to the topic at hand. There was mention of strippers; he couldn't just ignore that. "Strippers, huh? What, not enough young bodies for you to feast your eyes on?" he asked with a wink before turning his gaze to the people around them. It was true, they were all beautiful people. It was like a rehab center for young models-to-be.

"I like to stay fit. My mom's a nurse, so I've heard all the lectures about keeping a sound body, sound mind. Well, I got it half right I guess," he joked, gesturing to his body and then tapping his temple for emphasis. "I like the way a good workout feels, how it gets your blood pumping. Pushing through the pain, breaking your limits. It's the best form of self-improvement that I know, at least. Plus nobody messes with me, so that's a plus. You're a runner, huh? Maybe we could go on a run together, keep ourselves from losing it here. Best thing to do is stay busy, I figure." He liked the girl so far; she was easy to talk to and not intimidated by him. He never had an easy time with girls for that reason. It wasn't like he was bad with them or anything; they just seemed a little nervous around him for some reason. He enjoyed being able to have a relaxed conversation with Xylia. He wondered if any of the other girls were this laid-back. He hoped so; it was going to be a long year after all.

Hresvelgr 01-19-2011 09:55 PM

Xylia felt the tap on her shoulder, Although Motor stepped forward before Xylia could get the chance to finally explode on Stark. He was really testing her by now. And since he was not yet a friend, she would not feel horrible for doing so. But as Motor stepped in, it gave Xylia the chance to count to ten inside of her head. She did speak up for herself though once the flash of anger went away.

"Do you think you can just leave me alone for a while?"
Xylia asked Stark. If she were going to be living with him, then getting off on the wrong foot would be a horrible place to start. She heard Motor continue the conversation behind her, although her attention was still on Stark, at least until she got some sort of response.

"No one here come with the traditional sweat and drugs scent." she said, also glancing about the room. There were so many beautiful people, it was almost intimating. She listened to the way Motor spoke. The thrill of staying fit and pushing himself to the limit. An Adrenalin junkie was he. Interesting. It made Xylia wonder if she were the only one here addicted to heroin. She had heard about detoxing, and it did not sound fun at all.

"Sure, I'll wake you up at five. Tomorrow morning." Xylia said to him with a small smile. Motor was honestly a type of guy Xylia was used to speaking with. He was tough, had an opinion, and knew no one would screw around with him. Which made it fun when Xylia would beat him down. He was so much easier to speak to than some of the over emotional artist types.

AliceinZombieland 01-19-2011 10:11 PM

He grinned. She seemed enthusiastic about the idea, which put him in a good mood. Even if she turned out to be only a casual enthusiast and not a hardcore nut like him, it was nice to have someone to work out with. Maybe it'd help them make it through the year. Maybe it'd keep his mind off doing the crazy things he did to get his kicks. But then again, he doubted that. In order to kick a habit, you had to acknowledge that it was bad in the first place, and Joseph just didn't feel that way. 'Nothing wrong with playing with fire as long as you know it can burn you,' he thought to himself, before answering her. "I'll be ready," he assured her with a wink. "You're not bothered by a little cold, right?"

He was looking forward to the morning run. He had worked with endurance and the cold, but this would be a nice chance to put it to the test and see how long he could go. And with a little competition to push him, it would definitely be fun. He wanted to see the girl sweat, see how far she could push herself. As far as physical strength went, he had her beat, easy. But she was a runner. He might be good for most things in general, but he didn't specialize in anything. He was a jack of all trades, physically, whereas it looked like she knew her trade well. He wondered if it was an obsession, a hobby, or a necessity for her. Was she running towards something? Or from something?

BloodyAnnebelle 01-19-2011 10:50 PM

Gabe felt another plop on the couch and Jacob raised her head. THe both turned to look over and see a girl introducing herself and saying her name was Same. Jacob smiled and laughed.

"I'm Jacob. You can just call me Jake or whatever you like." Gabe shook his and smiled as well. First girl of the day. Point one for him.

"Names Gabe." He said trying to play it cool. Jacob nudged him.

"His real name is Gabriel but no one likes to know that." Jacob winked with a sarcastic smile eyeing Gabe.

(( Yay! Interaction ((: Thanks ))

Hresvelgr 01-19-2011 11:12 PM

"Me bothered by a little cold? Of coarse not." she repeated in her own little way. Xylia would run in the snow, sleet, rain and sun. Why she did run though was something she kept to herself. Xylia did not have father issues as most in the room thought. Or maybe she did. It was something she would not look too far into. What was the point after all? First thing about being an addict was admitting you had an addiction. Xylia did admit she did, but she also did not really want to get off of the drugs.

"I do wonder what the rest of this place looks like." Xylia said. She was inviting Motor to walk with her, even if it did not seem as such. She could smell the food coming from the other room by now. Which only made Xylia a bit hungry. She headed into the living room, looking out at the big window. There were a few people sitting on the couch. To which Xylia only offered a friendly wave to. Since they seemed to be speaking with one another. She looked to the big window in the living room. Over looking a balcony and pool. Although it was not covered. Which was strange to Xylia. Unless it was a heated pool.

She stretched up a bit. Still stiff from last night, and the car right there. Luckly her white shirt was covering what she wanted to be covered. Which included the bruises on her wrists and few tracks on her arms.

AliceinZombieland 01-19-2011 11:44 PM

He fell in step with her easily, more than glad to get a better look at the place. He had a bug about exploration; any chance he got he'd take. Sometimes that meant exploring a place, but in a lot of case it meant exploring a person. Figuring them out, seeing what made them tick. One of the first things he noticed was the number of people gathered by now. Looked like people were coming out of their shells a little. He was excited to get to know them all, but his focus was on Xylia right now. She had his interest, and he had a feeling they would make good friends this coming year. Maybe they'd even keep in touch once they were released. He smiled at the thought.

"They spared no expense on big windows. Penning a bunch of addicts up with no access to anything. They're just asking for a chair through a window. Just saying," he commented with a grin and he wondered what it would be like to be thrown through a window. He'd never experienced that. Maybe if he made any enemies here he'd have to ask them. He wondered for a moment if anyone who ended up not liking him would be polite enough to agree to his request. His mind worked in strange ways sometimes.
