Bio: when Zak was young his parents disowned him and placed him in foster care. Once he hit 17 he was able to be out on his own by his own will, and that's what he just did. He got his money from an account that his grandparents had set up for him when he was little and over this whole time the money accumulated a lot. He now has his own small apartment and is taking night classes at a school to get his education.

For most of her life, Nikki has been trapped in that lab. She had had needles sticked in her, wires stuck to her. Tests done on her, and has been violated as well. The were actually trying to create an army weapon that was part animal and part human. Well thats what Nikki was. She was basicly a monster. She hated it, and she tried to escape many times, and failed. Except for today.

She was running down the street. Her bare feet making soft pat-pat noices as she an. She was covered only by a simple white cloth around her. Behind her the thuds of the shoes of many scientists chacing after her. She didn't stop running. She was so close to freedom. She couldn't give up. Not yet.

Zak was walking down the street headed toward his only class that night. He didn't mind going, because all he knew was he had to get some education and he was set for a good job to make his life pass. He didn't have books or anything he was just walking. People didn't like the fact that he was living alone, but by law he was actually able to do so. His mind was stuck on the fact that he was spending a lot of time on his studies that he hadn't had too much time alone.
He watched as people worked and some kids played in a park that he was passing. A bit further there was some people unloading boxes and he smiled and waved at one. He was the owner of the main store that zak got all his things from. If the guy didn't have it, there was always a way to get it and he always acted as if he was zaks dad, but zak knew he was far from it. He stood at a Doreen and waited for the light to change so he could walk.

Nikki ran as fasat as she culd. She had pushed people out of the way, and did trip a few times. She always manged to keep going. She soon saw a male waiting on a sidewalk. He was waiting for his turn to cross the street. But soon she forgot about him, and turned to avoid him, but looked back to see them getting closer. She ran faster, forgetting about the male ahead, in result she ran into the male, making him fall with her ontop of her. She wasn't concerned about that. "Oh dear..." Her ears folded back. She looked at the scientists.

Zak was stunned as all of a sudden he was hit and landed on the ground. He looked up at the person that landed on him, and his first though was that she was cute, but his mind changed as he seen that she was running from something, and he just caused her to stop. About half a block back there was some guys in white robes, and he knew he had to at least try and help, that's if she was willing to go along with him. He was used to running when he needed to. "you need help?" he asked her quietly, as he managed to get up and offer her his hand. "there's an opening I can show you right around the corrner, I wont hurt ya" he said with a soft smile. He hadn't seen her ears so he was fine with helping a cute girl that bumped into him.

She blinked, looking at him. "Y-yeah. Thanks." She stood up, taking his hand and letting his lead her to the hidding place. She would look back at the scientists and then stick her tounge out as they were getting further away from them. She then continued running with him. Glad he is helping her. She wondered if he noticed she wasn't normal/

Zak did just what he said that he was going to do for her and he hid her. After the guys passed they ran in the other direction. Once he thought they were safe for once, he stopped and cought his breath. "I'm only asking one question and only one. What was that all about?" he asked her as he looked at her. He then noticed the gown and though she was in a mental hospital or something like that. He didn't care, he was just teing to help her out. He looked at his watch. "crap I'm late, owell.. You ok?" he asked disregarding his only one question statement. They walked slowly as he had no clue where he was going with her, but that didn't matter to him either. (it's alright, it happens lol)

When the scientists passed she let out a breath. She then wrapped her tail orund her leg and tensed when he asked what was going on, however he seemed to forget that when he had said he was late. Nikki followed him to where he was going. "I'm fine..." She said, answering his questions. She heard a meow from a street cat, making her ears perk up, but they went back down when she saw a dog chase it. she was half panther, but she was still a cat after all. She walked closer to him and said. "Don't let that dog get me." She squeaked some.

Zak looked Roth at her, and was a bit confused but said. "I won't let it get you." he raised an eye brow but dropped it not long after. "you got a place to change from that gown thing?" he asked motioning to her. "you can't just walk around in just that, people might think somethings either wrong or try to do something." he said as he took off his shirt and offered it to her. He still had a sleeveless on unfair his shirt so he knew that he was alright. He hoped he could help her out, and that she didn't mind that he did try and help her. She was willing to let him help her so far, but he wasn't too sure what all he could do more, if anything.

Nikki blinked and said. "Whats wrong with what I'm wearing?" She blinked some when he took off his shirt. She accepted it, and without thinking she took off the gown right there and slipped on the shirt. "Better?" She asked. She has never been outside the lab before, so she didn't know undressing inpublic was wrong, cause back at the lab she was told to undress infront of them many times. Those were not happy thoughts though. She shook that off. However, the shirt made it easier for people to see her tail.

When she took off the gown and he knew something was up. He acted and placed the gown back over her. "you can't run around with out cloths, and the shirt was to help cover you." he spotted her tail as he placed the gown around her back. He was more shocked now, and he back away a bit fast. "you are not from out here are you?" he asked as he shoved his scared behavior, he didn't want those guys to get what they were after, now that he knew. "you don't have a place do you?" he asked and looked at her. He didn't want her to be taken for the wrong things, and he wanted to save her once, so he was willing to save her more now.

Nikki blinked when he put her gown back on. Even more confused now. However after she did she notice him back away, that is when her ears perked up. "Around here. Well I don't thi.k so..." She looked around, seeing the stares. "WHy are people looking at me?" She then realize what she was. A monster. "Oh no!" She covered her ears. "Please don't send me back. I know I'm a freak...but..." She was nervous. She was afraid that her freedom was over/

"shh" Zak says as he tries to calm her down. They didn't need more attention then they already had. "I'm not takin you back, and if you don't mind your coming with me, I don't live to far away." he said as he grabbed her hand and lead he to his small apartment. Inside the place was clean, and he shut the door behind them. "we have to get you some cloths. I trust you to stay here please, and feel free to sit.. I'll be rit back." he said as he ran down the stairs of his apartment and out to the store. He had to guess her size as didn't really know, and with her being the first girl to be around him like that, she was thte first to be in his place too. He walked back with clothes and shut the door again behind him placing them on the table. "come see if I got this right." he said to her hopping she liked what he was teing to do, and what he picked out for her.

Nikki blinked when he had brought her to his place. However she was told to sit, so she did. She waited for a bit before he finally came back with clothes. She grabbed what was ontop which was a pair of jeans. She then took of then gown again, but kept the shirt on. She slipped on the pants and they seemed to fit okay. except her tail hurt, being stuck under the fabric. "It hurts my tail..." She frowned some.

Zak thought for a few seconds and got a knife. "trust me for a second here." he said as he slit a hole in the back of the pants so her tail could slide through. He pooped down on the couch and looked at her. "so what's the game plan here?" he asked as he ran a hand through his hair. "you know nothing about the outside world I guess, and have no whe to go." he said again as he looked at her and sighed softly. "your welcome to stay here if that's alright with you." he stated with a small smile. He would have to keep here there while he was at school, and if they went out they would have to find a way to hide her tail. Most people wouldn't like the fact that she w as what she was, but he seen a different side to it all. He seen the scared side of her when she first bumped into him on the street, and he don't like seeing that I women, so he just wanted to help.

Nikki tensed some when he grabbed the back of her pants, but remlaxed when her tail slid out. "Thats better. Thank you." She smiled, her ears perked up again. She then moved back to the clothes and grabbed a white tanktop. She looked at it for a moment before taking off his shirt and putting on that one. They fit pretty good. She then moved over to him, sitting beside him, crosslegged on the couch. "I dunno. I've been in the lab all my life. I don't know much about what's right and whats wrong to do out here." like she didn't know it was wrong to undressing in public. She also thought if she messed up, she would get beated. Infact, the tank top revealed some of the bruises on her arms and back. Her ears twitched slightly at his offer. "Oh thank you!" She hugged him out of joy. No one has been nice to her before. "Oh wait, you said you were late for something earlier..." She pointed out.

Zak was a bit shocked once she hugged him, but he just smiled and hugged her back. "it's nothing to worry about now, and ime sorry about all those." he said as he gentaly brushed his hand over her arm. "you don't need to be beat like this, you should have ran into me sooner." he said as his consern for her rose some. Someone as sweet as her should be treated right, not beat for everything. "this place is a bit small, but you can take the bed, and I can get you more things for just you." he stated as they just sat there. She was the closest that anyone would have ever sat down beside him. Seeing her ears he thought they were cute and he reached for one. "can I feel it?" he asked before he actually did, he didn't want to offend her at all.

Nikki looked at him. She tensed when he touched her arm. Only cause it still hurt. Her eyes shifted away for a moment. "It was because I was bad. Thats why I'm glad I ran into a nice person. You won't beat me if I mess up. Will you?" She asked, looking over at him. She blinked when he asked to feel her ears. She nodded in reasponse and tilted her head over to him. She studied her face. "Don't you want to even know why I'm like this?" She asked curiously.

"no I won't beat you, that's just wrong" he said as he touched her ear. It was soft and was nothing like he had felt before. He listings to her question. "for whatever reason it is, I can't help to change you, just help to keep you safe." he said softly and sat back again. "for as long as you need help, and I can help I will do all that is possible ok?" he said hoping she was willing to let him help her like that. "do you want food?" he asked as he looked at her. He was hungry and he didn't know if she was as well and he didn't want to eat without her.

Nikki nodded. "Thank you..." She said softly before looking away again. "Well. Food would be nice." She said, looking over to him again. She blinked, thinking for a moment and said. "What do you eat?" She wondered. All she was every fed was some mush. So she wasn't sure what to expect right now. However she trusted him atleast. For now.

"Wait you have never ate real food either?" zak asked as he looked confused again. "well we better change that, but we have to order it, I can't risk you out there." he said not wanting her taken from him. "people don't have tails and ears like you, so they would be scared of you. And I don't want to have you takin away." he said as he stood up and walked to get his phone. "let's try some pizza, I'll get different ones to see what you like." he added and ordered up some and sat back down. "you are cute the way you are though." he said with a smile, and he meant it. He hoped she trusted him to help out, and he would never harm her in the ways he had seen on her arms, he would truly protect her with his life.

Nikki shook her hed when he had asked if she had ever eatten real food. She smiled when he said he was going to change that. She stood and said. "What's pizza?" She asked, tilting her head some. However when he mentioned people would be scared of her she frowned. "You don't know the half of it." She whispered. However her spirit was brought back up when she heard his compliment. "Really? You think I'm cute?" She put her hands togther. "OH wait! What's your name?" She said, leaning foward some.

Zak blushed when she smiled at his comment. "oh I'm sorry, I'm zak" he stated with a smile as he offered her his hand. "and yes I think your cute" he added again. He was slightly embarrassed but he really didn't care. She didn't know much about the feeling he was having right then and there. "pizza I'd bread with sauce and cheese with other toppings." he said as he sat back down and waited for the pizza to arrive.

Nikki smiled. "I'm Nikki. Well I was a number origionally, but I gave myself a name." She said. "Nice to meet you Zak. Thank you. Thats the first time I've been called that without being...oh well...nevermind." She didn't want to get into what the scientists did in their spare time with her. She smiled spme. "Pizza sounds good." She licked her lips some before she giggled some. "I can't wait." She was excited. She was going to learn so many new things. She just knew it.
