He always hangs with his family, and takes pleasure in regular camping trips with his brothers and sisters. He is a vampire. But his secret is safe from everybody, except for a pack of werewolves, who offer them a pact to stay out of their way, as long as the vampires stay off their land.

There isn't much about Bella except that her parents are divorced and her mother had made Bella moved back to her birthplace to Forks. She is 17 years old and really didn't want to go back but she did. She now lives with her father, Charlie Swan who is an police officer in Forks. Now she is somewhat shy cause she will be going to an new school and all.

Bella wokes up and gets out of bed as it was the first day of school and her father was already up getting himself ready to go to work. Bella sighs gently and gets dressed before she grabs her book and goes out to met her father who had an gift for her. He had safe up enough money to get Bella and old truck which had been fixed up for her. After talking to her father and all she gets in and drives to school.

A few mins drive to Forks Highschool she pulls into the parking lot and gets out. She closes the door behind her and looks around as some people was looking at Bella. It did made her even more nervous before she sighs to herself and walks away from her truck.

Edward was just getting out of his car when he picked up a most irresistible smell. He tried his best to ignore it but his eyes were pulled from his family and towards an old rusty red truck. It was a girl...

She looked nervous. and had long brunette hair. But the smell was almost too much for him. They hadn't been hunting for over a week and he was hungry...

He turned away when his sister Alice knudged him on the shoulder wondering why he hadn't listened to her.

"coming Edward?" She said.

Bella looks over noticing some one looking at her. She just shakes it off alittle and moves to inside as she knew she had to go to the office to get her paper work. She stops for an sec and looks behind her again to see if that guy was looking at her.

She moves inside and heads to the office and walks inside while she looks around trying to get used to everything. The red hair girl looks up seeing her "May I help you." Bella moves over and says "I'm Isabella Swan." As the woman nods and dugs thought stuff "Ahh here it is your schedule and the map of the school" Bella nods and sighs to herself. She takes them and walks out of the office.

Edward watched in the corner of his eye as the girl with the red truck headed towards the office.

'must be the new girl' he thought silently. noticing his sister Alice reading his mind.
"We've got more important things Edward...come on!"

Edward couldn't get the smell out of his senses when he followed the path that the girl had walked. he slowly worked his way through the first half of the day constantly wondering why she smelled so irrestistible. Was it because he hadn't fed for a few days? Or was it just her? He had to avoid her...

Next was lunch. then biology...

Bella had talked to some people at lunch telling her about Edward and the rest of them. That caught her interest some even she didn't show it. Once biology rolls around that would be her next class. She walks over to the teacher telling her she was new. And the teacher just told her to find an seat.

Bella brushes her hair back while she looks around trying to find an place to seat. As every place had someone sitting in except for one. She walks over to it and would say "May I sit here? Its the only other chair that isn't empty.

Edward went stiff. The smell was back, and it was worse than ever! It was the girl again. He heard her say her name was bella to the teacher. and unfortunately the seat behind him was the only one left spare. This was NOT going to be easy, he thought.

He was looking out of the window trying to distract himself when he heard her voice asking if the seat was empty.
"yes" he said, coldy. not trying to start a conversation.

The hunger got worse. He could have killed her right then, but he knew it would mean his family would have to run...they'd done that enough. and they liked forks. He couldn't do that. No, he would manage. They could go hunting tomorrow.

The lesson was awkward. He saw Bella's eyes looking at him several times but he resisted as much as he could to not make it obvious he was anxious.

Bella caught the coldness from his voice. She place her books down on the desk and sits down with her back. She brushes some of her hair out of her face while she stares down but looks over at him a few times. She would speak "You are Edward Cullen, right?" whispers.

Somehow she felt some coldnes and bitterness from Edward and how he was acting towards her. She decides to go back to the lesson while writing down notes from the board. 'This guy hates me' though to herself. She knew it would be an hard first day but this was the worst. At lease at this moment it was.

Edward looked at her. He couldn't not. She would surely get suspicious. "yes, im Edward. And you must be the new girl. Isabella."

He was trying to be polite. but it was extremely difficult. Her scent was murdurous. And that was saying something, considering his past...

He took his attention to the teacher. Who was lecturing about the foundations of cell formation. Something he had studied countless times, but still found interesting. How could a Cell, be made up of so many compartments. and yet, still be so complex. so confusing. And so god damn tempting to consume!

Bella watches him as she nods "Yea Bella" corrects him. She never like calling by her full name much. She turns back to the teacher as she writes down notes and stuff in her notebook.

She sighs gently as she brushes back some of her hair from the left side of her neck to get it out of the way with her writing. Bella sighs gently wondering how long this was going to take.

After an while class was over before she looks over at Edward "It was nice meeting you, Edward" She stuffs her books into her backpack as she stands up.

Edward felt his fist clenching tighter when bella moved her hair revealing the most temptating part of her...

Finally class was up. and he jumped from his seat as quickly as he could without causing suspicious about his speed and left the class to get away from her. She was so tempting, but so dangerous! He couldn't risk his family having to leave forks after getting so settled. He had to do something.

He caught a glimpse of Alice. She was having a vision. And once she was back he asked her, silently.

"Stay away Edward." Is all she said.

Heading towards the admin office, he decided to try and trade classes so he wouldn't have to sit by her every biology class. He knew it was an unlikely chance, but whatever it was Alice saw. It was a warning. And he had to do something about it.

Bella looks over and seen him was gone. She felt anger rise up within her. He is so mean. As she looks around as it look like he was the first one out of the door than anyone else. She sighs gently and rubs her eyes as they had teared up alittle.

Bella gathers her things as an boy walks up over to her "Your Isabella Swan right?" As she looks over and nods "Bella."

"I'm Mike Do you need help to your next class?"

Bella shakes her head "No I think I can find it..its gym" says. As that was also Mike's next class as well so Mike and Bella walks to the gym. They was talking about Edward and his unusal behavior. As he never acted like this around anyone before she came along. Lucky the the gym teacher didn't make her dress out so she just sits there watching the others play volleyball until the final bell rang.

Once gym was over she walks out of the gym and shivers. The rain was gone but everything was very cold and windy. She wraps her arms around herself and heads to the warm office.

"But i NEED to change! Ill take anything!" Edward was getting louder, when he sensed that same irrisitable scent nearing him. It was Bella...

"Nevermind. I can see its not going to be possible." He said, trying to be calmber again. "Sorry for bothering you", he said apologeticly to the admin staff.

He slowly walked by Bella. Smelling her scent voluntary. In doing so, he found himself trying to create a plan to get her alone, so he could take her.

"No" He mumbled under his breath. I can't. I can't endanger my family like this. he thought. Once out of the admin office he immediatly went to find Alice, Jasper and the rest of his family.

"We need to go hunting...tonight!" He said, and Alice knew exactly why.
"yes, tonight" She nodded in agreement.

The rest of the day went ok for him. Until it was time to leave, when he saw Bella walking towards her red truck to go home. He caught himself looking at her. but had no idea of his facial expression. He was thirsty...very thirsty.

Bella watches staying back until he left the office and walks up to the desk. She ask how her day was but of course Bella lied and told it it was fine. She hands over the signing sheet before she left the office.

She fixes her bag over her shoulder wrapping her arms around herself. She steps outside and heads toward the truck.

Bella looks over seeing Edward look at her again before she looks back and got into the truck. She turns on the engine and pulls out of the parking lot going home. The whole time her eyes was fill with tears. As something had set the boy off for an reason and she was the reason.

The hunt lasted 3 days. So Edward wasn't at school again till friday.
It was a sucessful hunt. And he felt fully satisfied.
He knew his lust for Bella would be easier to manage now.

It was a dull day at forks high school too. which he was greatful for. Otherwise he would have been missing another day.

Edward decided he would try and be nice to Bella today. For two reasons. He didnt want her to get suspicious about his behavior on Monday. And he was curious as to why she was the ONLY human he could not read the thoughts of...

He got out of his truck with his family, and headed towards his first class. which was, once again. Biology. Slide-analysing. A class he'd done more than 50 times before.

For the past three days Bella sat alone in Biology class. She still had some anger and wonder why he had been gone for so long. Bella pushes it out of her mind until that day.

Bella walks to her biology class and walks in. She froze in her steps seeing Edward in class. She takes an deep breath before going to her seat next to Edward.

Slide-analysing..oh what fun. The teacher begans to class and the assignment to the class who was paired up in parnters. of course her parnter was Edward after all.

'Hi Bella' Edward said. With a crooked smile. He intended on trying to make up for his bad behavior on Monday. He had heard the thoughts of her friends saying that he acted very 'strange' on Monday, and he wanted to rid them of the suspicion.

The tutor began passing around the slides for the class to analyse. He wondered how smart Bella was.

"So how are you settling in? It must be tough being the new girl when everybody knows who you are..." He asked.

Bella stares at him like an idiot cause his crooked smile was so beautiful she couldn't help herself "Hi Edward..." She blushes just alittle before she looks away watching the tutor coming around the the slides.

"Good I guess..yea I guess Charlie..I mean my dad must talk about me so much everyone so much it makes me feel I am already part of the town." giggles alittle. "Anyway I guess we better get started...you want to go or should I?"

'Of course. You've got Cheif swan taking care of you. Anyway im sure you'll settle in fine. You blend in with that pale skin of yours.'

Just thinking about her skin made his arm hairs stand up. He wasn't thirsty. But who can deny a scent like that. She was beautiful. But it was still prooving hard to resist how good she would taste.

He almost forgot she had asked who should go first when he was distracted by her scent again.
"Oh, sorry. Ladies first, always..." He said. Sliding the telescope closer to her.

Bella nods "Alright I'll go" she was going to show off. She had did this lab once before so she knows what she would be looking for.

She puts the first slide under the microscope and adjusted it before she takes an quick look into the scope. Her assessment was confident.

"Prophase" she says as she would start taking out the slide.

'May i?' He asked, ready to check if she was right. Her answer was confident so he assumed her last high school had already covered it.

'not that i don't trust you. But i like to win' He said cheekily.

'Correct.' he said. Then he swapped the slide and guessed the next couple before passing it back for her turn again.

'Done this before?' He asked. Making small talk.

"Yea I did this back in Phoenix before moving here." giggles some alittle. She watches as the teacher walks around to check how everyone was doing. She had notice she was staring a him more and more. She brushes some of her hair from her face alittle and changes it out to the the others.

Her hand gotten to close to Edwards and they touch as it stung her hand as if an electic current though them. She didn't move her hand back but his hand was ice cold like if he had kept it in an freezer for an long time.

Edward found himself go stiff again as her hand accidently touched his. It made his resistance that much harder. But it also made him wonder why, even when physical contact is made, he still couldn't read Bella's thoughts.

He moved his arm under the table, trying not to make it known how uncomfortable he had become.
Suddenly the teacher reached their desk, providing the perfect distraction.

He checked and confirmed they had got all of them right. 'Looks like you've picked a good partner there bella' He said, before Edward quickly joined in, making it known that it was infact Bella, who got 3 out of 5 of them.

Bella couldn't help but to stare more at his eyes as she knew they was different today than before. She wonder about it before she spoke up "Are you wearing contacts?" ask curiously. As between the cold hands and his eyes something was strange and couldn't help bit to be curious.

She looks up at the teacher came over and check on them while she was doodling in her note book. She stops for an sec and nods smiles hearing what Edward say.

The teacher would ask Bella "Were you in an advanced program in Phoenix."

Bella nods looking at the teacher "Yea I was." looking over at Edward as the teacher was please and then left. She would go back to doodling in her note book again.

"Nope. I don't wear contacts. What makes you think i was?" Edward wondered. Slightly confused, but then realising his eyes were probably darker on Monday due to his thirst...

Edward's stiffening had finally subsided when the teacher left, letting bella get away with a few doodles in her notepad. Everybody has their talents, he supposed. His was music. After all. He'd had over 100 years practice on the piano.
