Linny glanced up as Adam mentioned her name, She nodded and waited a second, thinking for a few moments about what they were about to do and the risks they would be taking. She was secretly planning to return to the beach to get her necklace, even if the others would disapprove. She'd probably sneak off on their return back from the bus, then catch up with Adam and Kate before they noticed she was gone.
Hearing the discussion between Adam and Kate, Linny stepped in before it could get worse. "Look guys, now's not the time to discuss personal differences and problems with each other. Let's just get it over with alright," she said, her voice gentle and soft. She glanced into both of their eyes, and turned around. She walked to the door, letting her arm brush Adam's and followed the group of guys out, sweeping her flashlight out in front of her. "Be safe," Mitch said to the others left inside the house. He let himself be pulled out by Ace, gently pulling away when they were outside of the house. He began walking, putting extra force in his steps to leave foot prints for the killer to follow. He knew the feigned trail would throw the killer, but he wasn't sure for how long. He wiped a bit of blood from a cut on his arm onto his finger, then spread it onto a nearby tree. He raised his eyebrow at Ace and Trix so they would get the hint to do the same, then continued walking. With his eyes squinted in focus, Mitch seemed oblivious to everything except for what he was currently doing. He mentally calculated how far away from the house they were and how long it would take to get back. He knew it would take longer than it would to make the fake trail, seeing as they would need to be extra cautious to not leave any returning marks that would lead back to the house. |
Ace had no cuts on his arm but he did have a key to his house in his pocket. He took it out, making a small cut on his arm with it and then wiping the blood on a nearby tree like Mitch was doing. He then made sure to jump every time he walked so his foot prints would be left going away from the house. He ran his hand threw his hair and looked backat the house, hoping to see his sister but he knew she was watching for the killer. He let out a small cough. "So.. How long do you think we should make the trail?" He asked.. betting they could have the trail done a lot quicker if they ran. "If we ran for about five minutes away from the house then the killer will think we ran in the other direction by our footprints.. and we could get back here quicker." He said, taking off in a slow run since he wasn't that fast to begin with anyways. And he didn't feel right leaving his sister at possibly the killers home.
While Ace ran he made sure to step on twigs, run his arm along trees, everything to lead the killer away from the house. He continued for about five minutes from what his crappy watch said and then stopped, starting to slowly walk his way back to the others so he wouldn't leave footprints. And he didn't want to be so far ahead by himself. |
Kenny’s eyes trailed along the distancing others, narrowed and somewhat grim…oh, how he envied them, their endless bravery and composure. Never failing. Whereas, the only thing keeping him going was the plea for his sister. He had to make it back to her. That, and of course, the blade.
Yes, yes, the razor that kept those scars red, the blade that kept him company when all company was gone. It fit so well along his sleeves, keeping it busy digging into his skin while he worked to collect various dry branches just outside of the house. It was a small profit, but it made him grin. No one to bother him as to why his jacket was getting a steady flow of red from his underarms. “Back…” he called, his arms full of the wood. He set them down in the center of the room they were compiled in, making a small clearing for the small fire to come… |
When Trix was pulled out his only action was to grunt and pull himself free. He tried not to laugh at how stupid the pair looked whilst making their false trail. He walked normally knowing his generally gaunt was enough to leave the prints needed. He would have to be careful walking back though. He let himself step on twigs and the such on the way. He paused for a moment yawning as he let his eyes scan around him. He jumped slightly when Ace suddenly took off. He had been in his own world and the movement had kicked a fight or flight response. He shook his head keeping the other in sight as he ran off. He glanced at Mitch "running prints and walking prints are slightly different, you can tell a lot about a persons walk, run direction and intention from them. try not to be too forceful, he may know this." he wondered where half his ideas were coming from, was he worried perhaps an expert tracker who could use gases was after them? He shook his head, this wasn't an 'anything' no whatever was after them was a hunter, a monster. He shuddered reaching where the others had turned round he was by a river "this will give the impression we went in to the water to prevent foot prints" this was more to himself then anyone he knelt down taking blood from a wound on his leg and covering a stick protruding from the river's flow with it. He gave a nod turning and beginning to head back, cautious to not step on anything and to walk lightly.
Yuzu smiled at Kate but stood back when the pair began to bicker. She silently wiped herself clean. Feeling refreshed she ran it under the water and headed out to the group offering the wet towel to Kenny. She could see the red on his sleeve. "You should take off your jacket, it looks soaked, maybe i could get some of the blood out for you." It was only normal to presume it wasn't his own, had she known, perhaps her reaction may have been different. In this situation self-harming should be the last thing on people's minds. She looked about "did anyone go back to the bus yet? You should hurry before he makes it so we can't he will want to cut us off," she had remembered it was mentioned earlier and right now she could use some clean clothing, most of them could. She also knew that when you were hunting prey you never let them back track. She wrapped an arm round Kate's shoulder. "we will all be fine and everyone can help, we just need to support each other right now." She then remembered. "Kate would you check my lower back, tell me if there is a wound there?" She wondered what if they were using her tracker to track the group, she wished she had thought of it being used that way earlier. She may have put the whole group in danger. "if there isn't, do you think, my tracker, he may be able to see it. If so; someone is gonna need to cut it out of me." she said it as calmly as possible but her pitch did go up a few about it. Someone else touching her back with a knife seemed horrifying. |
Megara turned her attention away from the window when Kenny came in and frowned a little. "Oh! I'm so sorry... I would've helped I was just so worried.." She said, going over and taking some of the wood from him and putting it by the fireplace. You could tell already that Megara seemed to be falling apart without knowing if her brother was okay or not. She worked quickly, making sure they could use the fireplace before arranging the wood into it. Her hands slightly shook while she worked them quickly, letting her bangs fall into her sad green eyes.
She was now kneeling in front of the fireplace and making sure everything was ready to go before she looked back up at Kenny. "Do you have a lighter or will I have to rub two sticks together?" She asked, giving a weak smile. "And thank you for being so brave to go out by yourself." She said softly. |
Kenny felt a soft blush upon his cheeks, but shoved it away, mumbling. "It wasn't bravery...it's hardly anything, really. They were all just right outside..." he muttered, refusing to accept praise. But he already was. He shivered, those stupid, sarcastic calling voices coming back. Like he was schizophrenic...he stopped at the mention of her taking his jacket. "No," he said solidly, and a bit loudly at that. "I mean...it's fine. Not as if any of us hasn't seen blood in..." He stopped his sentence before it went further. That would just make things worse...
At the mention of holding someone down and cutting her open, he shook his head. He had already had his fill of gore and torn muscle tissue. He couldn't really bare that, bravery or not... |
"I'll do it.. if you really think he's tracking you." She said, standing up. She noticed Kenny's small blush and smiled a little. She of course had her eyes and heart set on Mitch, but Kenny was also charming as well. So she at least wanted to praise him for getting the wood. "Anyone that goes out in the dark alone is brave, thus you are since the other three weren't around you and were out back." She said, patting his shoulder gently. She noticed how he acted about the jacket and took his arm that had the blood on it, gently sliding up the sleeve. "Your hurt.." She said, going back to the kitchen of the house and getting herself a knife. She cut part of the side of her tank top, not caring that she was exposing part of her waist and started to wrap the fabric around the cut. She knew it looked self inflicted... but said nothing. She turned with the knife in her hand and looked at Yuzu. "I'll only get the chip for you if you really want me too.." She said, gulping slightly at the thought of cutting someone purposefully.
But Megara had gentle hands and knew she'd be better at getting it then Kenny would be. She ran her hand threw her hair, silently praying for everyone outside to be safe. |
(( Are you going to post TheNewCSLewis?...))

Much as Kenny liked Megara (he thought absently about calling her just Meg), he took away his arm sharply, his eyes shut tightly…”Sorry…” he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper, “but blood is really the only thing keeping me in reality right now…” He bit his lip again, that same spot sore from the many times he had done so…
“I’ll see if there’s any alcohol…” he stated aloud, heading into the kitchen, finding the cabinets oddly filled with the stuff. ‘What the…?’ he thought, confused. Why would a killer need numbing medicine? Especially this much…a rather horrible idea entered his head. What if…the deranged man pursuing them…tortured victims to death…? To Kenny’s right, a stairwell went down into what looked like a basement. Bravery or not, he could only sing for absolution that he didn’t have to go down there. |

(...well darn. This was a fun RP...)
|
((Just have to go on with out her. Its been over a week.))
Adam felt Linny brush past him. Although it obviously didn't hurt, it was enough to get him to shut up... At least for right now. He turned, and went out after her. Adam let the thought cross him mind about Mitch. Mitch was extremely protective of his sister when it came to other guys. Except for really himself. Which Adam always felt it was a bit funny. He was outside. Turning the flashlight on himself. Being careful not to shine it on the boys. "We should hurry." He said to Linny. Carefully he started down the dirt path. Trying to remember where the road could be. To be honest he took a guess on where to go. Being careful not to leave too many footsteps himself. Within probably twenty or so minutes, he cast his flashlight on the shine of the yellow bus. "Linny." he said gaining her attention. His flashlight moved towards the door of the bus, where he saw a bloody hand print on the glass... |
((Yeah, I vote we go on with out her too xD This rps too fun to die c: ))
|
((Alright. If she comes back in I will talk to her about it but we can continue.))
With a soft, barely audible sigh, Linny followed Adam out the door. She glanced over at the other guys, watching them make intentional marks on the forest floor as well as trees and bushes. She hoped nothing bad would happen, and she yet again involuntarily reached her hand up to fumble with her locket. Instead of grasping the cold silver heart, her hand touched her neck as it did before. Frowning, she remembered her goal to somehow get to the beach itself and look for the necklace. Trying to keep her mind from wondering into dark places that would frighten her all the more, Linny kept her eyes locked in front of her. For a brief, minute second, Linny thought about her not brother, who was almost her brother, Mitch. She knew he wasn't keen on letting her go off alone, but she felt like the fact that it was Adam there with her comforted Mitch. Shrugging to herself at the weird, thought, Linny focused on placing one foot in front of the other, closely following behind Adam. "Huh?" Linny said, yanked from her thoughts. She glanced up and saw they were in front of the bus, as well as the bloody hand print staining the glass of the bus door. Pointing her own flash light in it, Linny's eyes widened and she bit down on her bottom lip, not caring about the metallic taste of blood accompanying the harsh bite. "Oh geez..." She whispered, her voice like that of a timid child's. Cautiously, she stepped forward and tentatively laid her hand on the glass. Mitch nodded at Trix's statement and was careful not to make his foot prints look too intentional. It was a tricky balance between feigned intention and real intention. Sighing, he followed the others and ran his hands through his dark hair. The stairs crept out from behind the large leaves of the trees, just slightly visibly in the dark terrain. He wondered what the others in the house were doing, then the ones on their way to the bus stop. He hoped no one, especially Linny, would do something stupid, or get hurt. Watching Trix's movement of putting blood on a stick and in the river, Mitch copied him and rubbed a few dry leaves and twigs on the cut on his arm and strategically placed them in the water so that they looked like they just so happened to end up there, but were in plain sight. He frowned and wondered where Trix was getting all of this. Probably two many serial killer documentaries, but who knew. Going the extra mile, Mitch quickly darted across the river and acted as if he was climbing out on the other side, leaving multiple sets of foot prints in the mud. Swimming back, he climbed out and shivered the cold, nodded to the others, and began to ever so cautiously make his way back to the house. |
Ace sighed and followed after them, then started to follow Mitch back to the house. He looked around at the forest around them and then to the dirt. He could see their footsteps leading to the other direction so he started covering his footsteps leading back to the house until he got to the back door. He didn't want to talk with the other guys so he just walked into the house, nodded a hello to his sister and then plopped down onto the couch. He looked at Kenny, Yuzu and his sister before looking to the floor with a small sigh. "I hate staying in one place, even for the night.. but I suppose being in here is better then being out there in the dark." He said, clenching his fists a little. He was sick and tired of all of this and couldn't wait for it to be morning. He laid his head back on the back board of the couch and closed his eyes.. wishing sleep would come to him quickly to escape all of this for a few moments.
Finally sleep came. He dreamt of a beautiful angel that looked a lot like their mother showing them the way threw the forest for everyone to arrive home safe and sound. They were traveling threw the woods and talking of what they were going to do once they got back. He knew his dream wasn't helping their escape plan.. but it was sure helping his sanity. |
Adam followed his flashlight down the length of the bus, where suddenly he dropped his flashlight and ran towards the back of the bus. Completely without saying a word. He knelled down over something, which until Linny would cast her flashlight over, could not tell from his position. His body was blocking whatever it was. "Linny!" He said very suddenly, in a panicked voice. His breathing intensified as he turned to his partner, turning his entire body to show his sister Eve pinned to the bus with a knife threw her shoulder. Her entire body was cut up, like she had been running threw the woods. Threw branches and thorns. Adam had his hands up, thinking of a way to get her off, but he had not touched Eve just yet. She just couldn't be dead... "Eve, please wake up!" He said to his younger twin sister. He reached up, brushing a bit of colored hair out of her closed eyes. |
Jumping for the not the first time that night, Linny looked over startlingly at Adam. It took her a second to register what he was doing and looking at, but finally things clicked in her mind. His twin sister was pinned, literally, to the bus with a knife. Stepping forward, she gently touched the knife, trying to see if it was in a vital point.
"You probably don't want to see this, look away," Linny said to Adam, waiting for him to turn his head. She gripped her left hand on the knife in Eve's should and took two deep breaths, tightening her hand. Pushing against Eve's shoulder gently but firmly so that she wouldn't fall, Linnea yanked the knife from Eve's shoulder and bus in one fluid motion. Her right arm nearly faltered, but Linny caught herself and supported Eve, gently lowering her to the ground with both hands after dropping the bloody knife. Placing two timid fingers on Eve's pale neck, Linnea closed her eyes and tried to close off all of the other physical feelings such as her knees on the sand slash grass mixture as to focus on Eve's pulse, or if so, a lack there of. Thankfully, the red head felt an ever so faint, slow beat room Eve's neck to Linny's fingers. "She has a pulse. It's really faint, but it's there. Take her back to the house, quick. I'll look through the bus," Linny instructed firmly. "Don't worry about me, I'll be right after you in a few minutes," she reassured him and stepped back from the two twins, picking up the bloody knife to protect herself with. Stepping up the door of the bus, she banged it harshly, which made the door slowly open in a very creaky-horror-film-like manner. As soon as she was done searching the bus and the twins were out of sight, she'd slip silently to the beach and look for her locket. Trailing back through the forest and into the house, Mitch felt himself grow more and more exhausted with each step. The... events of the day were wearing on him and he just felt ready to sleep, but he knew the instant he closed his eyes his mind would be filled with images of the beach and his dead class mates. He'd rather experience exhaustion than terror. Sighing, Mitch flopped on a couch and tried to think about other things. However, he didn't know how we would be able to think about anything other than what they had all experienced. In fact, if that day was a movie it would Spring Break: Senior Terror. Sounded like a cheesy horror film with obvious fake blood and D-list actors, but in reality it was far from it. Not being able to sit still, Mitch pushed himself off of the couch, not making eye contact with any of the others. He walked to a window and pushed the book case blocking it out of the way. He squinted into the jet black night, looking for a sign of the others. Hearing Ace's comment he nodded. "I know what you mean." |
Megara decided not to bother Mitch. Both him and Ace seemed upset so she backed off easily. She started to want to head towards the basement.. just to see if she could find anything useful. She headed for the dark hallway that held the basement door and bit her bottom lip. It wasn't the time to act childish now. They were being picked off one by one by a serial killer and she was afraid of the basement? She rolled her eyes at herself and slowly opened the basement door until it was just slightly ajar. She peeked threw at the complete and utter darkness and then opened it all the way. "I'll be down here if one of you needs me.." She muttered to everyone in the other room before starting to make her way into the abyss of a basement. Once she reached the bottom of the stairs she found a small flashlight. She smiled softly. "Convenient.." She said, turning it on and looking threw out the room. There were tools everywhere.. some might just be useful. "Jack pot!" She called upstairs, smirking a little as she took hold of a hammer.
|
Adam nodded and turned his head. Although quickly looked back when he heard the metal coming from the bus. He noticed Eve bleeding from her wound, and went to take his shirt off. Wrapping it around her shoulder, and pulling tight to stop the bleeding. It was something they were both taught in dance. Basic first aid. Although it was more so for broken legs since that happened way more that blood spill. He applied pressure while picking her up bridal style. Although he stopped, knowing his sister would be alright, but he just wasn't going to simply leave Linny there. "Put a bag or two on my back." He told her from outside. He could carry those and his sister easily. Plus it would be more to everyone else. He looked down to his sister as she slowly opened her big brown eyes. "Morning Sunshine." Adam said to Eve. Waiting for Linny to come out from the buss and hand him something before they could head back to the house. |
Linny vaguely heard Adam's last instruction before entering the bus. Her mind churned as she tried not to think about the fact that the bags she was seeing and touching belonged to her dead classmates. Trying to keep her mind set on her goal, she started with the back of the bus, seeing as it was easier to make her way up. She began rummaging through each bag, trying to see what was in each. Finally she decided it was just best to grab as many bags as she could, no matter what was in them.
Returning to the front of the bus, Linny carefully climbed down the steps and put the bags on Adam's back. There were only two and of medium weight, so she figured it wouldn't be too bad. As she was about to step back on the bus, she saw Eve open her eyes and Adam's face light up. Grinning at both of them, she patted Adam's back and nodded in the direction of the forest. With a muffled sigh, Linny once again trooped up the stairs of the bus and threw every bag she could fight onto her back. Once Adam was out of sight, the red head walked about halfway into the forest and put all of the bags she had grabbed, around a dozen, and nestled them around a large tree. She could just barely hear the crash of the waves on the shore, and began running in the direction of the beach. It only took Linny fifteen minutes to be back on the shore, but something was different. The bodies were gone, and all that was left was the remains of the bonfire and blood soaking the sand like a red blanket. Seeing a glimmering hint of silver in the red and white sand, which she thought to be her necklace, Linny began sprinting as fast as possible to it. Suddenly, she tripped in the sand and lunged towards the ground. Her head collided with a hard and large rock. "AGHHHH!" She shouted painfully, gripping her head with both hands. Clenching her eyes shut, she took a deep breath and opened them again, seeing a lurking shadow approaching her, a glinting knife in its hands. Turning her head to the left, her eyes rested on her locket and her hand closed around it. Mitch waited, impatiently, as he stared out the window. He knew he shouldn't be thinking about every possibility, all ending with violent outcomes, that could be happening to Linny and Adam. Sighing, he leaned his forehead against the cool wood of the book case in front of him, and with a grunt pushed it back into place. At least that way he wouldn't be able to look out at the threatening forest. Noticing Megara leaving, Mitch debated whether or not to follow. Did she want to be alone, or was she just looking for something? He wasn't sure, and instead waited. As if in answer to his question, he heard Meg loudly call from the basement and ran to it, not knowing if she was in trouble. Bounding down the stairs two at a time, Mitch nearly collided with Megara on his attempt to reach her so quickly. He chuckled when he saw that she had just been calling out because of her find. And a good find at that. "Wow, good job," he said and grinned at her, before talking hold of a few different tools to bring upstairs. |
She smiled at how quickly he came down. "Wow, you sure were in a hurry to see some tools.." She said, smirking and looking at the nail gun in her hand. Her eyes went towards his before looking quickly back down. "So do you think we'll make it to morning?" She asked, biting her lip and looking towards him. She had to admit she was scared, even though she didn't show it that much. She let her black hair fall over her emerald eyes as she thought of other tools she could use. She looked back up at him with a weak smile, the light of the basement making her look a bit paler then usual. She gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for making the trail and dealing with my brother's crap.. most people wouldn't." She said, thinking of all his other old 'friends' that never talked to him anymore.
She knew now wasn't the time to flirt, which she wasn't. She just felt like thanking him for all he's done so far. She wouldn't of gone out to make the trail even if she was offered money. She walked a few steps away from him to inspect more of the tools, her slender hand running over some of them. She shivered slightly from a shiver that ran up her back as she looked around the basement. |
Adam had stopped when to wait for Linny just behind the tree line. He was in the dark, but could still see her moving around in the bus. His sister, Eve was clenching to the shirt wrapped around his arm. He finally watched Linny walked out of the bus and turn, running full speed into the forest.. It took Adam a minute to realize what had just happened... She just ran? towards the beach?! Adam knew he couldn't run after her. So instead he waited... and waited.. For probably ten minutes or so. In the mean time his sister, who was still probably completely out of it, was moving around. "It hurts.." She said as a bit of red started to show against the shirt he had wrapped around her arm.. It was then Adam knew he had to head back to the house. He started to walk in the same direction. Soon reaching the house. He knew Mitch would be less than happy with him.. He headed inside, "I need water. Now." He said to everyone. Laying Eve right down on the floor. He put the bags down near the door before quickly returning to his sister. The cross on his left bicep probably rose a few eyebrows in the room. Mainly because even though their names had a religious background too. His eyes looked up, trying to find Mitch in the room. Wanting to tell him right away where Adam thought his sister ran off to. He took the shirt off of Eve, instead laying it under her shoulder. Using the water to clean it a bit. He went into one of the bags. One with the name 'Sammy Fishern' written on the tag. Someone he didn't really know. Either way he took out the first top he found and used it for Eve's wound. Mainly cleaning it up to see what they had to deal with. |
Mitch grinned back at Meg. "Maybe the tools weren't what I was in a hurry to see," he flirted and teased, winking and laughing afterwords. He began throwing a few tools, such as hammers, saws, nails, and more, into a few of the empty tool buckets lying around. It was kind of strange to him that all of these tools were down here, but he definitely wasn't complaining. He frowned at her question. "We've got to," was all he said in response, glancing at her with strong eyes.
Meg's voice jolted him out of his thoughts and it took him a minute to process what she was saying. "Oh. Well, I'm not most people. No problem though," he shrugged and smiled, sitting on the basement stairs a moment. It was still in the house, the others being upstairs either sleeping or thinking, and nothing disturbed the silence. Suddenly he heard clattering as someone barged into the house. Darting up the stairs, Mitch's heart filled with fear as he thought of the killer busting in and killing them all, one by one, piece by piece. Those thoughts flitted away likes flies from a fly swatter when he saw Adam and, surprisingly, Eve topple through the door. He was one step ahead of Adam, running into the kitchen and searching for a large pot, which he filled with water. Running back to him, he dropped down on his knees, careful not to spill the water, and looked at Adam's injury. He rubbed her hand. "You'll be OK," he comforted. then he noticed Linny wasn't there. "Adam..." He warned, glancing at him. The cross tattoo caught his eyes. Ironic. "Adam. Where's Linny," he repeated, forceful with his words. |
