"I am glad the world didn't go black when we touched," he smiled and watched her with the roses. Softly, he ran his hands down her waist and his face went blank. "I want you to be careful ..." he warned. "My mother was immortal ... But she was killed ... I have never told anyone this ..." he said, feeling bad for lying all those times. Everyone questioned him, after he said his mother died of a sickness, or some lame excuse. Softly, he tightened his grip on her waist, closing his eyes, leaning his forehead against hers. "Immortals can be killed, although it is rare ... They are only killed by other immortals ..." He kept his grip on her, then opened his eyes, looking into hers. "I don't want you to go anywhere new without me ... If you were to vanish ... I would hate myself forever," he spoke slowly, his words flowing through his own ears. He remembered the man who killed his mother. "My father came home from work one day. Mother and I were playing hide and seek. She knew where I was, but she was pretending not to know, just to make me feel better. Father approached her, wrapping an arm around her waist like he usually did, from behind ..." Lucifer paused, anger flowing through his veins. "He was talking to her, and then I heard him say, 'Honey, I have a girlfriend," he breathed in slowly. "I heard a gasp, and when I looked through the crack in the closet door, he was holding a knife to her throat. I saw him slide it across, and the blood from her artery spat everywhere ... I grabbed my uncle's sword from it's sheath and ran after him after he let my mother go. He didn't hear me, and when he saw me, he couldn't dodge me ... I was too fast." He grinned at the very thought. "I slid the sword through his stomach, and ripped this necklace," he touched the necklace he had put on Scarlett gently. "And I left him there to dye. "I buried my mother in Transylvania, I want to visit her if we ever go near there ..." Finally he was done, and he took another deep breath and sighed. "You're the first to know," he grinned, showing his teeth.

As she listened to the story she frowned, hugging him close to her once he finished. " I promise i'll never go anywhere without you.." She said, putting her head on his shoulder. " If the world did go black.. I wouldn't care, I still hold you until you no longer wanted me too." She whispered. "I'm very sorry about your mother.." She felt his anger towards his father. She could just hear it in his voice how much it hurt him. She hated her father so much that she wanted to kill him, from years of abuse and hurting her mother and brother. So she was fine with him killing his father. "Well.. I'd love to go with you there some day.. that is, if you want to be with me." She said, looking at his chest. "Now i'll tell you something no one knows.."

"My mother..she died when I was seven." She paused. " My father was never a good man to her when he was around, though he wasn't around often.. but when he was he always found a reason to hit her. Whether it was because she dropped something, spoke when not spoken too.. or just because he felt like it. He always found a reason.." She mumbled. "But one day when I came home from school she wasn't there. The cover up story was that she drowned from falling asleep in the bath tub but I know the real reason.. that drunken ass of a man came home and saw her and just had to take his anger out on someone." Her anger showed on her half lit face in the moonlight. "So once I was old enough to fill her position by cooking and cleaning, I became his new object of hatred. And sometimes just to get the point across he would strike Joshua. He would lock Joshua up for days at a time in his room when one day I arrived home with the groceries and he didn't come running to greet me with something he made in school that day..My father called the police and said he ran away." She looked down. "I guess that's why I asked you about the whole baby thing.. I felt like such a failure..not knowing what he did to him." She felt her anger subside and kissed Lucifer gently. "But you and I will have a lot better life with each other around." She said, making the mood a little more cheery. She smiled up at him since he looked so handsome at night. She wanted to have Lucifer forget about the pain of losing his mother, even if it was just for five minutes. "How about we forget everything.. just for a few minutes and dance together?" She asked softly, her hands on his shoulders again.

Rythen laughed as she ran off. He finished walking inside and saw that she was sitting next to Ahanna and Cire. Standing next to them was Adam. He finished the walk over to them before Ahanna could speak. "Hello dear sister, Cire." He smiled with a nod before turning to Adam. "I hope you have been treating these fine ladies well." He simply stoped talking and looked at Ahanna.

Ahanna smiled at Rythen then turned to look at Mellie. "I see that leaving him behind did not work for long. You know, me and Cire were just talking about you." Turning to look at Rythen she addressed him. "Hello dear brother. I hope you have been kind to Mellie. And Adam has been just dandy since he came back."

I can't post again until Sat. sadly. I'm sorry! I feel so depressed and annoyed. I won't tell you why I can't because it's a long story. And I was so excited to just get together and talk!!!!!!!!! And at the end of the post, he's not actually saying mother.....

Adam:

Adam lookedat Ahanna surprised. "Oh, well, I didn't mean for you to think that we would leave the Circus. Sorry, I guess I should've said it in my head first before saying anything.....So if we stay here, then it's okay with you?" Actually, Adam does go out sometimes. Just not that much lately. He goes to be alone in a quiet small place where the Humans don't normally go. Sure he'll go to a restaurant, but usually it's to-go so that he can take it back with him to the Circus. Adam wished that he could take Ahanna outside the Circus sometime though. I bet she would like the place that I normally go to. Maybe Cire would come too. I'm sure she'd lie to be with Ahanna anyway. They seem pretty close. He turned to Cire to ask her a question now too. "Have you been out of Circus grounds lately?" Maybe she has and they could go to her favorite spot, and his favorite spot sometime. He would want to see what kind of places she likes too. All he knew about the places she liked, was the Circus. Not very helpful. Anyway, Adam tried to think of where Ahanna would like to go someday when she was brave enough. "Going outside isn't as bad you think. I had my doubts about it too of course but, I like to go to quiet places where they don't normally go. And when I want to remember what my mother looked and acted like I go to th-.....nevermind. It's kind of.....personal I guess." He said and looked down. He never met his real mother before, but being and acting like his mother is what brought him to the Circus. It was a specter that tricked him and turned him into a specter as well. It gave the looks of his mother and acted the same way Adam's dad used to tell him she acted like in the past. He really thought it was his own mother, but no. It was a trick that he would never forgot. Adam actually got to see what his mother would look like and act like. A miracle. Anyway, enough with the bios. Adam lifted his head to show the girls that he wasn't sad. He was alright when not thinking about that story of his "Mother".

Lucifer listened to her story, sighing in relief. "Someone actually knows how I feel ..." he whispered, then smiled. "Of course I wish to be with you, Scarlett. The way the atmosphere changes when you are around, is breath-taking. The way your beautiful hair shines in the sunlight is lovely, and just as lovely as it does in the moonlight. Not ten, nor one hundred, nor one million women could be put together to add up to your beauty, Scarlett ... Do you believe me?" he asked, watching her, carefully. "You are more beautiful than a single red rose, fully blossomed, in the summer rain, with the sun shining through the clouds, and a soft rainbow forming overhead." His voice was now a whisper, as he continued watching Scarlett, his eyes following her defined cheekbones, down to her soft lips. He smiled and kissed her softly, then whispered against her lips, "Tell me you believe me?"

Mellie giggled at Ahanna's comment about leaving Rythen behind, and tugged him down to sit next to her. "Be nice," she hissed, holding his hand gently, smiling up at him. "Take it back, or I'm never talking to you again!" she whined, turning to Ahanna, pretending to ignore Rythen. She looked at Adam briefly, then back to Ahanna, smiling softly. "Going to eat? I thought we all had to be here at the end of the show to escort people out?" Mellie asked, smiling more. Just to be even more 'rude' to Rythen, she pulled her hand away and set it in her lap, giggling softly.

Scarlett's blush increased as he spoke, kissing him back. "I believe you darling." She said, running her hand threw his hair. " I feel the same about you. Your the most handsome man i've ever met and yet your full of heart as well." She smiled a little. "We like the same things, have the same heart aches.." She said, looking over at the roses, then back into Lucifer's eyes. She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing the side of his face. "Tell me about what you like to do for fun, or when your sad.. or whats your favorite color?" She asked, wanting to know everything about him, good or bad.

He thought for a second, looking up at the moon. "You'll laugh ..." he said, slowly. "But ..." He paused, looking back to Scarlett. "I like laying in fields, during the day, watching the birds fly by." A smile crossed his lips as he spoke, still watching her. "My favourite colour is the deep red of the roses that are in full bloom," he admitted, though most of the times, when he was asked that question, he would simply say 'black.' "When I am sad, I draw my feelings. Whether I feel like I am falling, or crashing ... I draw it in the book that is half-filled with my mothers drawings ..." he felt the need to explain further. "She used to draw me, whether it was myself picking roses, or sleeping, or even eating ... She wanted to cherish those memories." The smile on his face grew wider, remembering all the times his mother would sit on the porch and just draw. Slowly, he gripped Scarlett's hips and swayed to the music in his head, closing his eyes as the breeze sent shivers down his spine. "What about you, my dear?" he asked. "What do you like to do? What is your favourite colour?" He opened one eye and looked at her.

Ahanna looked at Adam then back down wrapping her arms around herself. Even after he had clarified about staying here she was scared. She could go out into the country and the woods. They felt like home. But the towns were different. The one time she had gone into a town people had pointed, laughed, and called out mean things. She had been so frightened that the hunters would come. She had ran out of the town and ever time they had needed something Rythen had gone into town to get it.

"If we stay here I can go I suppose." She needed something else to think of then humans, hunters, and towns. When he continued she snapped "I don't care where they normaly don't go out. I will not be there. If it is in their town or near then there will always be them. I only feel safe here and in the wild. I trust you to respect that." She was sorry for snapping because she could see the hurt in his eyes when he talked of his mother but she couldn't bring herself to say anything else. Instead she looked away from all of them and looked out over the circus ring.

Rythen smiled as Mellie was 'mean' to him. She really was cute. But his attention was grabbed when Ahanna yelled at Adam. Poor guy was getting all the abuse today. He was worried about her though. He knew she didn't like human towns which was strange since she was fine now and she was surrounded by humans. He also knew that this had started happening when she had gone into a town alone when they were running from the hunters. She had left the town crying and he had gone in all the others. But this fear had really set in when he had been gone getting supplies. He had left her in a meadow alone and had come back to find her up a tree crying. She never told him what happened.

And it looked like Adam had brought that back up. Which made Rythen feel like punching him but he knew that wouldn't help anything and that Adam didn't deserve it. He didn't know.

He turned to Mellie. "I belive their talking about after. Ahanna would never not do her duties here. I highly doubt the same of the others."

"I'm not talking to you!" Mellie huffed, at Rythen. "You called me short!" She knew she was short, because she was a small girl. Small hands, small feet, small bones. She was always called short, by friends, family, everyone, so she was used to it, but she wanted to have a little fun. Crossing her arms, she winced at the slight ping of pain, but she kept her gaze away from Rythen. She closed her eyes to reassure herself that she would not look at Rythen. For a second, she sat there, still, until she yawned big, stretching her legs out, leaning back slightly. Then, she giggled softly, looking at Ahanna. She wanted to ask her if she was alright, but she didn't want to offend her in any way. She sat back and sighed softly, still ignoring Rythen softly.

Cire had greeted everyone with a playfull smile, mouthing hello as to not disturb anyone's talking.

When Adam asked her about whether or not she went out short out of the circus grounds she had laughed softly, raising her voice a bit as to make sure that with all the convo's going on he could still hear her.
''I go out of the Circus grounds every night Adam, unlike humans I only need 2 hours of sleep, and running is one thing that has never failed to please me.'' She said, making a 'v' with two fingers, smiling her pointy canine teeth bare.
She felt a bit out of place though, sure everyone here was nice and greeted her... But this was becoming a bit busy. Then again, she got headaches very easily when surrounded by many people. When she was born the air was clean, and now it was a sdirty as it could get so she needed her space. And here.. Well. It gave her headaches.
When Ahanna rose her voice against Adam, Cire merely looked up, pursing her lips to the side. She wasn't one to judge, but that was unlike the elf. Maybe it had to do with what she said earlier... That she couldn't hide her appearance. Humans were judging creatures, maybe she had a bad experience earlier. The fox gave the elf a broad smile. ''Nobody in here would dare force something upon you. Adam here, is just trying to make friends and so he comes up with ideas quite fast, which comes over quite pushy. He probably can't help it, he's a guy after all. Yes, I know multiple guys are here, feel free to feel offended, that way you'll watch your behavior more... Anyway, we are going to a forest, at night when it's really pretty, so screw human towns. Right?'' The woman said, rolling her eyes dramatically. She took a moment, and then realised she still had to ask Mellie about the nightly ride and about the outfit she wanted to perform in. The succubus was busy with ignoring Rythen right now, so it seemed like actually quite the right time.
''Mellie~ Is it okay if I call you that?'' Cire asked, turning to the girl with a broad smile. ''I don't know when you want to start performing, but I'm sure you would love to have a different outfit for a performance than when practising. Tomorrow I'm going to a nearby market... A braderie to be precise. and I could buy the silks you would need for whatever your creative mind can come up with to wear during performances. I can understand it if you can't come up with anything, but could you think about it? The sooner you have your costume, the sooner you'll get into being a serious performer.'' She said, a smile at the innocence Mellie... Seemed to radiate.

Rythen sighed but didn't say anything. He knew she was just playing with him so it didn't really hurt.

Ahanna looked over at Mellie. She slowly brought her arms down and put her hands in her lap. She forced a smile on her lap. The past was done and no one here would force her to go anywhere she didn't want to go. She had acted badly. "I am sorry for yelling at you Adam. And no Mellie we are waiting for the show to end. I know my duties and I will finish them. And I will not leave my friends with hunters. I know Cire. I overreacted."

Scarlett smiled. "I'd never laugh.. and I find everything very sweet of what you like to do." She said, moving along with him to the music inside her head. They both seemed pretty in sync. She bit her lip and thought for a moment. "I like to paint, draw or play music when i'm upset. And sometimes I sing." She smirked. " But I love going outside and finding the most beautiful thing I can find and then I paint it. " She said, her eyes drifting to the roses. "I often paint them.." She closed her eyes for a moment. "My favorite color is teal because it reminds me of this beautiful dress my mother used to wear.."She had closed her eyes only to picture it and its beauty. "And when i'm upset I go swimming. I have no clue why.. but I only let go of my worst emotions when i'm in water." She felt slightly stupid for saying it but it was true. She'd often cry in the shower or sulk in the bath tub for hours just to wash away the stress. " I'd love to see the drawings sometime to see what you looked like as a child." She said with a small smile.

Mellie squeaked when Cire said her name and smiled politely. Gently, she leaned backwards, into Rythen, smiling. "I have around five outfits ... I am all set, but thank you, madam!" she said, smiling softly to Cire. She then looked at Ahanna and nodded. "I see," she grinned, then turned to Rythen. "You're a mean man, Rythen ..." She looked at him, her eyes wide, sparkling in the lights, as she tried to look innocent. Slowly, she ran her fingers over his hands and pouted softly. She giggled and reached her hands up, shifting so she was sitting on her knees. Her hands ran over his hair softly, as she watched him, and his green eyes. They had a lot in common, they both loved green, they were quiet, and both of their eyes were green. But, the thing was, Rythen's were a soft, bright green, while Mellie's was a darker, forest green. Everything about her was green, all the time, and she was slightly sick of people asking if she was Irish. She wore green, her hair was green, her eyes were green, and her make-up was always green. But, when they asked, she shrugged the question was asked, and simply said, 'I just like green.'

Lucifer laughed at her last comment. "Now you sound like a pervy old man," he grinned and wrapped his arms around her, lifting her off the ground. He spun her around and set her back down, watching her. Softly, he let go of her and walked over to the roses and let one of his nails come out, sharp and metallic. He cut it off, ignoring the pricks that made his finger bleed lightly. Using the hand that wasn't bleeding, he took off the thorns, and put the rose behind her ear, making sure not to get any blood on her beautiful face. Smiling, he bent down and smelled it, breathing in slowly. "It will never be as beautiful as you," he kissed her cheek softly and nuzzled her jaw. "I wish we had a blanket ..." he whispered. He had no clue if she cared about getting her outfit dirty.

She blushed and looked to the ground, then at his hand. She used part of her skirt to squeeze the tip of the finger that had been pricked so it would stop bleeding. "A blanket? Why? The grass is perfectly fine.." She said, releasing his finger and kissing the spot where it had been pricked. She sat down on the ground, laying back and looking up at Lucifer, patting the ground next to her. She laughed a little at the pervy comment, her eyes fluttering to look up at his. "As beautiful as me? a rose in full bloom is the most beautiful thing in the world." She said, her hand running over the petals of the rose in her hair. "And anyways, beauty isn't everything in a woman." She stated softly, grinning slightly. "Though it is a good part of it.."

Ahanna watched as Mellie touched Rythen. She was glad they had found each other.

Rythen looked at Mellie. He had never really noticed how green she was. He had noticed her hair but hadn't really paid attention. But in this moment he realized she reminded him of home. He smiled at her and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Aw, why am I mean? I thought I had been good." He pouted slightly before sticking his tongue out at her.

Cire nodded, sitting backwards, taking a deep breath followed by a quite exaggerated sigh. She placed one hand under her chin, deciding to take a moment and hope her headache would lessen a bit. Madam...? Ugh. She felt old. Maybe she should visit Zalia, talk about the hunters and what to do about the threat. The circus mistress probably readied her staff already and the fox demoness was sitting on a seat, where she couldn't see. Well she could to save her life, but you undstand the point. She kept smiling, not wanting anyone to notice her uneasiness, wondering where Doll was as well. Being late was unlike her.

Lucifer smiled and sat next to her, holding her hand. "But, a woman enjoys being called beautiful ..." he said, staring up at the sky. "And I never said I was talking just about your looks, Scarlett," he lay back and closed his eyes, yawning quietly. He loved the smell of the grass and the night air. Slowly, he rolled onto his side, facing Scarlett, and rested his head on her stomach, wrapping his arm around her waist. He smiled and kept his eyes shut, sighing lightly. "I don't want you to ever ... EVER ... Think I like you only because of your looks, Scarlett," he warned. "I would never like a woman only for her looks ... I like you for YOU, not for your beauty."

Mellie giggled loudly and poked his tongue, before pinching his cheeks. "You called me short!" she whined and giggled more, resting her hands on his cheeks. "I'm bored ... Entertain me!" she sighed, pouting slightly, back. Her body felt weak, and she was slightly dizzy. Her arms were stinging, but she continued sitting up, trying to not fall over from being weak and in pain. When she was younger, she saw her mother never back down, never quit, no matter how sick or tired she was. When her mother was on her deathbed, she promised to never back down, no matter what. She was going to be like her mother, and thrive to do her best, even if she was bent over, puking her lungs out.

Scarlett smiled a little and put her hand in his hair. "I know you like me for me, not just my looks. "She said, tilting his head up towards hers and kissed him. "And I do love being called beautiful.." She said, running her hand threw his hair gently. She looked up to the stars, wondering what act was on. "Oh I wish I could've had a sooner act so I could lay out here with you with no interuptions." She mumbled. "One of the many things I like about you is that your beauty radiates from the inside out, making the outside so amazing because of your personality. I" She said, still running her hand threw his dark hair. "Do you think we should go back soon?"

Lucifer smiled and kissed back, listening to her every word. "I'd rather stay here for a few minutes," he murmured and sat up, pulling Scarlett up with him. He grinned wide and pulled her close, his arm wrapped around her waist. Grinning, he watched her, running his fingers through her hair. Then, without a word, he picked her up, and slowly walked back to the main tent. "I want a banana," he laughed and bounced her as he walked, then kissed her neck softly, setting her down on the counter. He walked to the fruit bowl and grabbed a banana, munching on it slowly. He hopped up next to her and smiled, opening the banana and biting a bit off. He held it near Scarlett's mouth and smiled big. "Bite my banana!" he yelled, laughing. He wanted to lighten the mood, and cheer her up slightly. For a second, he watched her, and looked her up and down. He examined her face, arms, body, and legs. 'Beauty ...'

Scarlett giggled when she was picked up and held onto him until he set her on the counter. She raised an eyebrow at him for the banana thing before laughing and taking a bite of it. She chewed with her mouth closed, then swallowed and watched she his eyes seemed to be scanning her body. She took his free hand and laced their fingers. "So, quick question." She said, her eyes going to his. "Why'd you join the circus?"

"Well ..." he started, taking another bite. Before he spoke again, he swallowed the banana and smiled. "I wanted to get away, and flaunt my flexibility." He shrugged and looked away. "And, there's a lot of people ... Like me, here," he continued, and smiled at Scarlett. Slowly, he took another bite and swung his feet. He laughed and looked away, again, sighing. "What about yourself?"

"I just wanted to get away from the world, and do something worth while." She said with a small smile.

Rythen quickly pulled his tongue back in then rubbed his cheeks. "Aw, but you called me too tall. And it just makes you so much cuter." He winked at her with a huge smile on his face. "It is kind of hard to entertain while sitting in these seats."" He paused thinking. "I could juggle a little I suppose." He reached over and grabbed Ahanna's pouch and pulled out four of the apples they had juggled earlier before tossing her pouch back. He slowly started juggling two then three and finally the fourth. He was careful in juggling so that he didn't have to spread his arms like normal. Instead he just threw slightly higher. "How's this or would you prefer an apple to eat?"

[[No worries. I had to go to the store and to dinner. xD ]]

Lucifer rested his head on Scarlett's shoulder and nodded, his eyes closing. "I barely got any sleep ... Kept having nightmares, waking up in a cold sweat ... I even started crying after one nightmare about my mother," he said, then looked up at her, kissing her neck softly. Slowly, he slipped his hand under hers and laced their fingers. Grinning, he fiddled with her fingers, breathing slowly, enjoying the time they had together, hoping no one would interfere. As he sat there, he lifted his head, moved her hair out of the way, and whispered, "I know some men will be jealous, but I will fight bare-handed for your love, you know that, right?" He kissed her ear softly and smiled.

Mellie giggled when Rythen smiled and winked. It made her heart flutter softly, and her stomach turn. 'A guy ... Finally called me cute ...' she blushed hard and watched him in amazement as he juggled. He looked beautiful as he juggled. She loved how focused he was, and how concentrated he got. "Can I have one?" she asked, hiccuping. She was known for her hiccups, and quite frankly ... Nosebleeds. Slowly, she raised her hand, palm-up, waiting for an apple. "You're very amazing at what you do," she smiled. 'At everything you do ...' she thought, too embarrassed to say it out loud. She wanted to, but everyone was around, especially his sister. Sighing, she bit her lip and continued watching.

"Why of course you can my dear." He tossed two of the apples up higher then normal so that he had time to hand Mellie and apple. He caught the two apples a second later. "Would you like an apple Cire? Adam? Ahanna?" He had stopped juggling and bit into one of the apples.
