Rythen chuckled at Mellie's blush. He looked over and watched as two of the hunters walked out of the tent. He looked back down at Mellie. "Yes, I do. I don't take the word lightly so I wouldn't just throw it around. And if I didn't love you I wouldn't have gone running off with you." He looked around again. "It seems kind of crowded. Would you like to go somewhere else?"
|
When he left she let out a sad sigh, laying back and looking to the ceiling. She knew he was upset, But she couldn't prove it. She ran her hand through her hair gently and curled up under the covers, pulling them up to her chin and closing her eyes. She quickly fell asleep.
|
Melony nodded at Days statement about them needing to tell everyone to be fair. At the same time she was thinking about what Day had said about the man having to pay for the date. "You know I don't mind paying for this first time. We can take turns, I mean... Since you aren't usually in this form it would be kind of hard for you to put money asie since you don't need it." She winced at her awkward sentence and sighed a little. With eyes half-closed Melony decided to relax, and try to listen to the birds singing.

((Sorry guys! I haven't had much time to get on. I'm moving!!!:) So I've been trying to get everything all packed up! I'll read through all of this tomorrow morning and reply!))

Smiling at Aire, Jatan looked down when Kita wrapped around his legs. Then when she took off and bumped him he groaned. "I'm such a jerk! I really need to learn what and when I should speak." When Aki left his shoulder he looked to the three siblings. "I'm going to go talk to her. Aire I'll be back in a few." Shifting into a panther once more he ran out of the mess tent. Sniffing around he followed Kita's trail into her tent. He shifted back to his human form. Knocking on a post he ducked his head in. "Kita?" He asked then walked inside very slowly. "I'm really sorry about that. I should have realized that I needed to talk to you about all of this. I've heard that your really close to my sister. Is it ok if I sit down and talk to you?" He made sure every movement was slow and that he spoke softly. There was no way he wanted to be pounced on.
Looking up from the tiger when Lucifer asked for her Zalia spoke. "Yes Lucifer, I'm over here." She set the tiger cub down softly and stood up. She walked over to him and stopped right in front of him. "Is there something you wish to talk about?" |
Caleb watched Jatan leave, hopefully, he'd fix things. Green eyes turned to the cheetah, offering her soft, friendly smile. "Well Aire, how would you like your food? We can cook it or leave it raw if you prefer." He spoke, one shoulder lifting in a shrug as he finished up with the little apple turnovers and placed them in the oven to bake. He watched his other siblings as Aki all but pushed Kyle to sit in a chair as she fussed over him by making sure he used the packs, changing them every hour. You could clearly see the love the siblings had for each other, but Cal knew eventually Kyle would get bored. And when the little otter got bored, pranks started happening. "Aki, do you think you could help Aire here while I go talk to Zal?" He asked the blonde girl as he washed his hands before shifting and charging out of the tent, his wolf nose leading him to Zalia easily.
Kita heard the knock on the post but chose to ignore it, her small human frame curled under crimson colored sheets. She sniffled softly and shrugged, realizing he may not have seen it she told him he could. Sitting up, but keeping the cocoon of blankets around her, a small purple teddy bear ear poking out from the blankets under her chin. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted like that." She said softly, pointedly not looking at him directly. Aki had nodded to Caleb, knowing exactly what he planned on talking to Zalia about. The avian shifter moved around with an unconscious sway as she hummed an old song she remembered from her parents. "What can I get for you Miss Aire." She asked politely. |
Aire nodded, watching him go before looking at the person kind enough to cook for her as well, then looked at the food being cooked, wondering about whether or not her presence would bother people.
''Uhmm... I don't know, I'm sorry. I'd like it how you like it, it smells too good to not be delicious.'' The cheetah answered, her golden eyes beaming happily at the thought of eating the stuff giving off those delicious scents. She sat down at a small chair, swinging her legs like a child, smiling while looking around the place. She could get used to this, it has a nice atmosphere. ''Uhmm... Right now I belive to be satisfied, Aki wasn't it?'' The girl said, repeating said name in hope of getting to know everyone around here as fast as she can. Seemed there were more shifters around here, even though Aire doubted if they were like her form. Then again, that didn't matter. Everyone seemed to be some sort of equal here. |
Sitting down softly at the edge of the bed Jatan gave her a small smile. "I think your reactions was absolutely ok. I should have done better than that. I know you care about Zalia and the thought of loosing her scares you doesn't it? You have to know that will not be the case at all. I've seen how my sister looks at you. She loves you completely and I think she would do anything for you." He sighed and rubbed his eyes. Jatan was horrible with these kinds of things and he hoped he was doing ok. "I just want someone that my sister will have for as long as she lives. Someone that will always be there. You never know where you will be in five or ten years. You could be gone by then, off on some adventure. Zal will be stuck here forever because that's what she has to do." He stopped again and looked at Kita. "No one will ever replace you in Zal's heart. Trust me on that. I may have only been here for a few hours so far but I know my sister. She loves you to death."
|
Aki smiled, nodding to show that was her name. "Well, it's going to be a bit before dinner is done soplease help yourself to a sandwich if you need one. I have to bring a platter to the others lest they forget to eat." The female chuckled softly as she grabbed the other, larger platter and walked out to the mess tent, still humming.
Kyle watched the cheetah girl. She looked to be a lot of fun. "Do you know how to play pranks?" He asked softly, bored already. Kita listened to him, but curled tighter around herself in the blanket cocoon, attempting to be as small as possible. "I and my siblings have no where else to go. Our whole family was wiped out, we had to leave school just to get here. Cal and Ky have never had girlfriends, though Ky is currently crushing on Azra. Aki and I haven't had any crushes or such either." She spoke softly, closing her eyes against the stinging glitter of tears, even though none ever fell. She thought it nice he was trying to explain and make her feel better, but he obviously wasn't very good at it. Caleb easily found Zalia, skidding to a stop on his furry rear end at her feet before shifting and standing, comically rubbing his butt. He frowned slightly before blushing softly. "Umm thought you should know, Ky got hurt during one of his jumps and now with him set to stay off the trampoline, he's gonna be bored." Cal said, not noticing Aki come up behind him till she yelled boo, causing him to jump slightly, much like he had done to Kita earlier. Cursing loudly he spun to see Aki laughing loudly as she went around passing people the sandwiches they wanted before ending back at Zalia and the others. |
"I'm really sorry about everything that has happened to you Kita. I'm really horrible at this." Jatan said with an embarrassed smile. He really was and he had no idea how to make her feel better. "Do you not want Aire to be bonded to Zal?" He asked bluntly. The only way he knew how to make things better was if he knew how she felt.
Seeing Caleb skidding to a stop on his rump made Zalia laugh. "Oh dear that must have hurt," she said with a giggle then his words sunk in. "Oh no.." she groaned. When Aki scared Caleb she held back her laughter. She waited until Aki was back with the try before she continued. "Am I going to have to lock him up again? You know what happened last time," she said with a small laugh. Kyle and his pranks.. |
Kita shook her head, "Its not that. I know Zalia needs someone bonded to her, and I could never be that because of my familial bond already with my siblings." She responded, though she did scoot closer to him. Partly it was to show she was, well almost, fine, and forgave him for any screwing up he had done. Shyly she looked at him through her bangs. "You know, you cam at an interesting time. What with Kyle now stuck on the ground he's going to drive Zalia up a wall or two because his boredom means he'll start pranking people." She told him, the hint of a mischeivous grin lighting her face.
Cal had given Zal a flat stare as she giggled at his superficial pain of his rear end. Though he himself had to chuckle as she groaned. It had been a long time since his brother's pranking antics, and his lock-up punishment too. "I don't know Zalia, its been pretty calm lately, and last time the rest of us couldn't participate either what with Aki and Kita both sick and me having to play nursemaid." He replied, trying valiantly to hid the grin on his face, knowing that Aki had one too. Akasha laughed as she remembered that time. He'd only started pranking people to keep his sister's amused. "Come on Zalia, you know you want to participate in this one. Get him back for tye-dying all of your stuff. Though I'd really like to know how he got your shampoo to tye-dye your hair." She said in geniune curiousity. |
Day sighed but looked up at the sky. "Maybe... I am sure I can pay for the next one though." He looked around the clearing and realized he was truely happy. He had someone he cared about and he was in nature. He was starting to feel weird in this form though. He wanted to run and fly.
|
((sorry Graxdon, your post was so short I didn't know what to come up with xD))
''Orders...? Feravin, unless you want to run out and yell at everyone who we are truly, you can do about anything you like~ No orders, no punishments unless you deserve one... Jishuu~ Freedom!'' The woman said, twirling with her arms spread, smiling broadly. ''And I know, me babbling about whatever it is I do here isn't what you call an adventure book. But, if you want to help taking care of the animals, be my guest.'' She smiled, walking over to the tiger cub, lifting it up. It was nice of Casimir, giving her a pet... But still... Wasn't this little creature a little over the top? Then again, she couldn't brin g herself to refuse it... Way too soft and way too cute and probably deadly as well. Aire nodded happily, opening the refridgerator to see stuff she knew and didn't. But she remembered eating something called a sandwhich earlier, so she picked out the stuff that were in that piece of bread as well, remembering it by scent. ''So... Why did the girl from earlier run off...? Not that she was supposed to stay, but you know... It wasn't a happy leave.'' |
(Is okay :), as long as you didn't forger aboot me)
Feravin nodded, lost in thought and hiding his confusion with a smile. Do whatever he wanted? Well, that couldn't work, since what he wanted to do was start slaughtering every supe and traitor hunter here, but then he would get yelled at by his superiors. He thought to himself, trying to find out what one calls it when they don't have orders, until he finally remembered the word from the dictionary. He asked Cire, "I'd be happy to help you whenever you need it. If you don't need help now, what are some... (undertone) what's the word, (normal tone) recreational activities to do?" He seemed fairly uncertain of the word, hoping it was the right word. |
''Thank you, Feravin As far stuff to do, let me see... Well, most here have a hobby. Some love cooking, others love sewing... And of course, people practise their acts. Do you know a thing you could do non stop, something you want to be come better at while still liking it?'' Cire asked, petting the cub, loving the feel of its fur under her fingers. Of course, his way of speaking reminded her of a schoolboy using the words out of a dictionary, but then again, he was speaking russian just now so english probably wasn't his first language.

Serenade adjusted her clothing before taking a deep breath. She turned to her adoptive parents and waved goodbye with a small smile. They were the only reason she'd been able to find were the circus had appeared, un- Sighted as she was. Grabbing her luggage she stepped into the vicinity of the circus, and found her eyes widening at the sight. The smell of food got her attention, so that was where the black haired woman went.
Stepping near the tent she noticed that there were quite a few people outside it already. They seemed human to her, but she knew better. Quietly she set her luggage aside and went to introduce herself. "Hello everyone, my name is Serenade Royce. I've come to ask if you'll allow me to join the circus. Before you ask, my adoptive parents have the Sight and they told me how to get here. " She hoped that would assuage their fears of being found out by hunters. Casimir finished his food with a satisfied smile then stood from his spot to go speak with some of the people he didn't know. He made his way to the small over excited girl, and the young man who had been injured earlier. Casimir thought his name was Kyle, but he wasn't a hundred percent sure. "My name is Casimir and you two are? " He still felt defenseless without his weaponry, but he was starting to feel better about these people. A smile crossed Melony's face, only to be replaced by a frown when she felt Day's shifting around. (is he shifting around?) She moved so she knelt beside him. " You seem uncomfortable... What's wrong?" The blond regarded him with a slight frown of worry. Melony was pretty sure it hadn't been anything she said but... He wasn't human, or used to being in human form either. Perhaps it had something to do with that, mused the young woman. |
Ahanna watched as everyone seemed to forget she was there. Hm... for an elf, or part elf, he doesn't seem very interested in others of his kind. She sighed and looked around the tent. She noticed Rae glaring at the part elf. She shrugged it off and walked over to the box at the edge of the tent that held her practice supplies. She grabbed a few of her practice daggers and slowly started juggling them. After a bit she realized she had asked Cire about shopping. She continued juggling while she made a list in her head. After a few minutes she started dropping the blades back into the box. She looked over at Cire and saw she was still talking to the man so she picked up the fire sticks. I think our next act will be with fire. She quickly lit them and started juggling the flaming sticks.
Rae sat down and watched all of the practice tent. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something catch on fire. She whipped around to face it then noticed it was just the dark elf female juggling fire sticks. She leaned back and watched the show. Roe watched as Casimir got up and started talking to some of the others in the tent. She started to stand up and follow but decided having so many ex-hunters in a small space might not be good. She looked over at the tent opening in suprise when a new person introduced herself. She looked back over at the hunter but decided he would be fine for a moment. Roe stood up and walked to the dark haired woman. "Hello Serenade. I am Robin or Roe. I guess you can say I'm part of the new security around here. If you wouldn't mind coming with me I can take you to the leader of this group?" She waved at the tent opening. Day stilled himself and looked at Melony and smiled. "Oh, it is nothing really. I'm just so used to my other form it feels weird in this one. I feel like I should be out running. I usually don't sit still very long." He shrugged. It almost felt like he was sitting in syrup. He was happy but usually by this time he had run over five miles. |
Mellie smiled at Rythen and nodded. Her heart was racing, and she felt her body temperature rise. It was probably the amount of people. She never got sick, or anything, so she was sticking to the crowd. "Oh no!" she exclaimed, and looked up at Rythen, her small hands shaking. "I-I'll be right back!" she yelled and ran out of the tent, to her tent. Rummaging through her items, she searched for her bracelet. Anxiety was one of her worst aspects, so losing her bracelet given to her by her grandfather raised that anxiety. Her heart sped up, then significantly slowed when she found it under her pillow. "Thank goodness..." she whispered, then walked to her medicine cabinet. Opening it, she grabbed a few bottles and swallowed them hole, before downing a cup of water. "Better!" she giggled and ran out to meet back up with Rythen.
Lucifer nodded and walked to Zalia. "I have a request," he whispered and looked around. He was worried about Scarlett, and he wanted to help her. "Do you know anything that will help a broken or sprained arm?" he asked, looking at her with worry in his eyes. "Scarlett hurt her arm, and she is worried she won't be able to perform. I really wish to help her. I will do anything." |
(Serenade is at the mess tent, speaking with whoever is standing outside it. I wanted her to be where Zalia is. And CAsimir is in the mess tent talking to Aire and Kyle.)
Laughter escaped Melony. "You can run, or do whatever you want Day. It doesn't matter what form you're in, I'll still love spending time with you. There is one particular kind of date that only a pegasus can take me on you know." She winked at him, clearly hinting at the time earlier when he had taken her flying. She was relieved that nothing serious was bothering him. Melony didn't want Day to feel trapped, or forced, to stay in his human form for her. She wanted him to be happy and comfortable around her, no matter if he was an equine or not. |
Rythen frowned slightly when Mellie ran off. He sighed and walked outside of the tent and sat. He absantly stared at the trees surrounding them.
Day nodded. "Yes, I can but I don't think these new muscles are up for the workout." As soon as he said it he realized what she was really saying. "Oh, well thank you. My normal form does have its advantages." He looked up at the sky and the trees then his eyes lit up. "Hey, it won't be the same as flying but how about we look at the sky from up there?" He carefully stood up and walked over to a tree. Grabbing a low branch he swung up into the tree then turned to look down at her. He smiled down at her and offered his hand. ((As far as I know there isn't anyone outside the mess tent. I thought Zalia was in the training tent? And I know Casimir is in the mess tent. Roe followed him there. She was sitting at a table.)) |
Serenade smiled at Roe, and picked up her luggage. "It's a pleasure to meet you Roe. Hopefully things will go well and I can learn a whole bunch of things during my stay here." Quietly she went outside and waited for the dark haired woman to show her towards the ringmaster. Hopefully things were going to go well, if not she would leave the circus and go in search of another way to learn how to make herself see.
Melony followed Day with a grin. Quickly she took his hand and let him pull her up beside him in the large tree branch. She nestled her head onto his shoulder and looked up trough the branches into the blue sky. "To think, that I've always wanted to meet a pegasus and now I'm dating one." Playfully she started twining some of Day's white hair around her fingers. "What do you plan on doing if you do find other pegasus? Is there any way I can help?" The young woman still hadn't forgotten the sadness that had crossed his face when he'd told her what had happened to his herd, and it wrenched her heart apart. |
Feravin thought to himself, immediately disregarding the first thing he'd like to be doing, ie: kill everyone here, and thought of something else... but couldn't. For the second time, the first being his breakdown, his smile faltered and he just looked... lost, like a lost kid. He muttered, "I... I don't really know... I've never really had any freedo- er, time... free time..."
|
"I really couldn't tell you what you'll learn here. Just got here and I was on the other side." She smiled at the girl and lead the way to the practice tent. She stopped outside the tent and turned to the girl. "Zalia, the ringmaster, should be inside. I would go inside with you but my sister is inside and she told me to watch someone. She'll be mad if she knew I left the other tent. So I should get back. But everyone is nice so don't worry." She turned back around and ran back to the mess tent.
Day felt a bit better now that he was a bit in the air. He laughed at her comment. "Dreams do come true," he winked at her. He looked up at the sky at her next question. "If I meet anymore of my kind then I meet them. I won't leave my herd, my family, here now. And looking for others of my kind is rather hard. Even harder to find then a herd of wild horses. Not like we have cell phones. We have the human form but few use it. We always used it in the past to get past humans or to act as prophets. And with times changing my kind hasn't really noticed them." He looked back down at her and smiled. "But that doesn't matter. I know there are others like me out there and that we will not die out at that is all that matters." |
Serenade nodded jovially. "Thanks for showing me here, and if everyone is as nice as you everything should be fine." The blue eyed woman waved happily at the other woman before walking into the tent. Her eyes widened the moment she walked in and saw a young man with wings. Not just any kind of wings, but beautiful full feathered wings.
Walking over she tapped his shoulder lightly to get his attention. A bright smile covered her face. "Hi my name's Serenade, and you are? " He couldn't be bad, if he looked like an angel could he? What interesting people she was meeting already. It only assured her she'd made the right decision in joining the circus. A smile bloomed on her face while she listened to Day as he answered her question. "You're right, that's really the important thing." She leaned into him happily, just wanting to be close to the one she loved. The thought took her by surprise, it made her wonder what exactly she felt for him. The fresh air felt wonderful, softly brushing against her. "So about that date, I've suddenly decided to plan a surprise. But I have to know what you like to eat. " She was going to commandeer the mess tent and turn it into a restaurant. Melony knew she would need help, but she was determined. Excitement made her grin with all those plans rushing trough her mind. A table cloth like a starry sky, mused the young woman, and candles too. |
Day took a moment to think about it. "Well, I don't really know. I've never actually ate in this form other then a few apples or carrots. I just know I don't eat meat." He had never had anyone make a suprise for him. It made him happy and exicted.
