Scarlett kissed him back and was about to reply when she heard a faint noise outside since her and Dante were sitting by the window. She shook her head a little, wondering if it was just children playing. "Sure, we can go outside, as long as we sneak past Ace." She said with a playful smile. "He's not the type to start fights or anything.. let alone get up from his seat, so I know he won't mind too much." She said, knowing her brother would have a talk with her later. She stood up, taking his hands. She was very curious to see what made the faint scream outside.

"I'm a bit hungry and thirsty, but I can wait. You can tell by my appearance that I won't be starving anytime soon.." She said, looking down at herself in her mini dress. She looked down at Dante, a small frown forming on her lips. It's a shame she was falling for someone she'd never see again, it wasn't part of the plan to fall in love. "Maybe once your done telling me whats wrong I can tell you a few things as well?"

The scream vibrated through the eardrums of the halfing. Her ears had always been keen on picking this type of stuff up. She jumped up out of the seat she was in only to meet the ground lower than she had though. The scenery was changing. Why was all of this happening? Was it because she had evaded the stupid assassins trying to kill her? Did they take someone from this place so that she would have to go after them in an ambush? No... no one knew she was staying here. There was no way they would know that she had come to this place to rest. Something had to have happened to someone outside of the building.

Still having the mind of the killer at this point from an attack on her, she ran once her feet touched the ground and pulled out her little swords as she reached the door. She opened it quickly and ran outside, only to be met with the innkeepers clothing and hair on the ground. She picked up the hair and smelled it for blood since there was none she could see. The gown was completely clean of it as well. Quickly she bundled it all up and ran inside with it. "HOLD ON EVERYONE... Somethings happened to the innkeeper!!!" She screamed as she went to a table in the middle of the room to place the evidence she had found outside.

Ti had finally gotten Julia in her room, sleeping soundly in her bed, when he heard the noises from outside. He glanced out the window, then let out a slight gasp, his gut churning and his head fogging slightly. He wobbled a bit, and put a hand on the wall to steady himself, only to feel the ailments right themselves suddenly. He shook his head, and scanned the room carefully before leaving, closing the door soundlessly behind him.

He had made it half-way down the stairs when Daeman burst in with tattered silk in her hands. He froze when he heard her words, mind racing with possibilities. Was someone tailing him? They shouldn't have been able to find him so quickly, but it was possible. If this was the work of someone after him, everyone here was in danger. He swallowed hard, and slowly made his way down the last of the stairs. By all outward appearances, he was calm and controlled as he walked to the halfling, picking up one of the scraps of silk. There was no scent of blood, nor of anyone other than the pale woman, but even his nose could be fooled. He examined it closely, then looked to Daeman. "Show me where you found this." He said, deep voice nearly devoid of emotion as he fell into his "working" persona.

(Sorry for the delay)

Daeman's mind was so focused right now that when Ti came up to her, her anger just wanted to spew out from some silly emotional thing but since her focus was on the seemingly brutal murder that had taken place, she pushed her emotions back to the back of her mind and looked up at the man with serious eyes. "Follow me." She said as she left the materials on the table and took him outside. "I tried to see if there was any blood but it doesnt look like any exist. I dont know but something doesnt feel right about this." They reached the area that she had found the tattered materials, and looked around for the exact place that was burned in her mind. Finally they finally got to it.

The wind seemed to blow cool air into their lungs as they approached. Her heightened senses were going haywire seeing how she had just been attacked and now the innkeeper was missing. It was just Ti and her now in this silent area. No one else was around. "I dont know who did this or even how. Ive never seen anything like this and im pretty sure there is no assassin that has this ability. Any ideas?" Her working face was something no one would have guessed could be so deceiving. Her emotions were building on the inside, she seriously must have been pmsing, but on the outside no one could see it and she kept her focus on what they were there for. Her emotions didnt matter at this point in time.

Ti's eyes remained blank in response to the severity in Daeman's, his face was still placid, almost indifferent. If one didn't know better, it would look almost as if he did not care of the matter. He followed the halfling as she walked outside, all of his senses alive and focused as he scanned for anything the other assassin might have missed. When they reached the scene, is was as she said, still no scent of blood, the only sign of struggle was the disturbed earth and broken shrub.

He crouched down, tracing a pale finger along the edge of a broken branch of the bush, studying it well before leaning down to examine the ground below. He found nothing but more tatters of white silk and more of Elysia's fine hair. Finally, he sat back and turned to Daeman. "I know some undead that are good enough to cover their trail this well, but I would have known if there were any in the area. If it were an assassin, there would most likely be a body or at least the smell of blood or a poison.... I think it would be safe to say she was not killed, at least not here." He said, sweeping the area with his dark eyes again.

His mind ran in loops, trying to make the pieces fit in different ways. It could be the work of an anti-supernaturals group, or even just one person, but why would they kidnap her? Were they expecting the patrons, most of which had only been there one night, to care enough about her to try to find her? A smart kidnapper wouldn't depend on something like that, they would have a much deeper motive. Hopefully they were actually dealing with one that fell back on the thought of "freaks" always sticking together, for all that it was a false notion.

((You know what, she's waking up. XP ))

Julia tuned over in the bed, almost finding the floor as she hit it's edge. Her hands grasped at the sheets, pulling herself back up almost before she started falling. She lay clinging to the edge of the bed for a few moments, letting her mind work through why she was in the bed again. Groaning as the headache blossomed a few seconds into her thought process, she sat up, remembering Ti putting her there, and leaving. Her face took a worried look, did she really try to get him into bed with her? "I hope not," she murmured, standing slowly to head downstairs, keeping a slower pace than she probably needed to to try to ease the pounding in her head.

Dubhaigh was waiting for a reply when the weird stuff happened. He watched as the halfling rushed out, ready for battle, then came back in just as quickly with, surprisingly, the innkeeper's gown. Amidst the commotion he was unnoticed. He realized something had happened to her but did not feel like she was dead, just ... gone. People would turn to him for answers as well as other things. Too much responsibility for Dubhaigh. He backed away from the bar and slowly faded, reforming as an insect. He followed Daeman and Ti as they went outside and he listened to their conversation. Ti made mention of various types of people who might have committed the act, but knowing what he did of the inn and its owner, Dubhaigh had not cleared his mind of the thought it could be her own doing.

He had certainly found some excitement in this place, possibly too much. If there was a too much though, Dubhaigh had yet to encounter it. Danger was part of the whole point. Right now, he decided not to trust anyone. He would remain in his current inconspicuous form and see what he could observe to help figure out who was behind this, and exactly what this was.

(Sorry Kageshio, i was waiting for the others to post and then got swamped with work.)

Daeman looked up at Ti with a serious look again before returning her focus to the task ahead. "It would seem that she just disappeared, but that also doesnt seem likely. This is definitely shreds of her clothing and hair, theres no doubt about that. And ive seen plenty of different assassins that could have done this sort of thing but not to the extreme that there is no evidence but her hair and shredded clothing." She touched the dirt where everything had been once again. "I mean, the dirt is moist enough that anyone who had come through here would have easily left foot prints. Hers just stop here and there arnt any others but hers."

Quickly she glanced around feeling as if there was something watching them. The feeling had been there since they had come out of the inn. Unfortunately there was no sign that anything was there. Maybe it was nothing. Little did she know that it had been an insect that had followed them. "Something weird is going on here. Ive never seen this before and i know for a fact that it couldnt possibly be another assassin." I took care of all of them back in town.

Dante smiled up at Scarlett weakly. Now you're digging a deep pit, you idiot. Criticizing himself, the pale-haired youth let the woman take his hands. She mentioned being hungry, but wanted to talk first. It was then that the sound was heard outside. Stiffening a bit, the male didn't let any emotion on his face change. What was it?
Right around the time Dante was about to stand, Daeman burst in and showed her proof of disaster. She left the building with another man - Ti. Suddenly shifting modes from charmer to convict, Dante seemed to brush past Scarlett as he followed the other two from the room. Just as he stepped outside, the man felt his inner monster clawing at him to get out. And cause more trouble? Not likely. He listened silently to what Daeman and Ti had to say before frowning. He couldn't help the question that slid from his lips.
"Then she isn't dead?" If it wasn't an assassin, then . . . what was it? His form was tense as his silver eyes traced over Ti - he looked . . . unnatural, in some way. He couldn't quite place what it was about the man that set him on edge, but there was something. Glancing back to Daeman, he smiled tightly at the halfling in greeting. "Who would go after the innkeep? She's a sweetheart."

((It's ok, Dae, you don't have to keep apologizing.))

Ti closed his eyes as Daeman spoke, focusing his power on the darkness around them. He felt the cold, familiar brush of the shadows, and opened his eyes, revealing the midnight blue had become liquid gold. His slitted pupils darted around the area, and he slowly stood, a frown falling onto his face. The frown quickly became a slightly panicked look, his eyes glancing from one dark hallow to the next.

"Silent.... they're all silent." he said, voice barely a whisper. He heard Dante walk up behind them, and was vaguely aware of another presence, but stood still, not speaking for a few minutes. He then turned, his face once again blank, golden eyes looking to Dante and Daeman. "We can only assume she is still alive due to the lack of blood here, but it could very easily be a false hope. There have been no clues as to a motive, so that is open to speculation." he turned his gaze to Daeman, "I do know of other creatures that could do this, though why any of them would attack her here, so close to the city, I do not know. I think it would be safest if we go back inside, and make sure to look over everything thoroughly. We could all still be in danger, and it is wisest to take care of what we can rather than stand out here guessing." he said, starting forward. He faltered, pausing a moment as a familiar scent caught his attention.

He looked around again, eyes pausing over the place the bartender-turned-insect hid, but he couldn't see anything other than the well-tended flowers. He shook his head slightly, then turned back towards the inn. "Shall we?" He said, more than asked, glancing back to the others.

Julia made it down the stairs and into a seat without worsening the throb in her head. She carefully folded her arm and set her head down on them, trying to relax just a little, and get the pain to stop. Dearest Night, how much did I have?

Ki'la took another sip of her sisters sweet water, her pale death eyes suddenly flashing red for the briefest of seconds. "Well, that was...interesting." She set the cup down, still leaning her back against the bar so she could watch the room. Her sensitive ears picked up what was being said outside, though her face remained...uninterested.
Si'la stares at the back wall behind the bar, one finger trail along the rim of her cup that her sister had set down. Her maroon eyes seemed a little..darker then usual. They had both felt the shift in the place without seeing it. "Ki'la, I think we should leave." Her gaze stayed straight ahead and her face was emotionless as she said this to her twin.
Ki'la shifted her eyes to look at her sister before staring at the door again. "Sy, I don't think that is possible even if you truely wanted to. We should at least see what the others found outside. There wasn't any blood."
"I know. I can scent same as you, Ky. But something is wrong and neither of us, though especially you, are not in a place to deal with things like this."
The darker one snorts. "Oh please, we've dealt with worse."
"Not in a place like this, Ki'la. Don't even pretend your fine."
"Shut up."
Angry red orbs turned on their counterpart, a look very unlike her calm, submissive personality. "Don't try, Ki'la Salarien. We can't afford-" She cut off as she realized that others could hear them. She turned from her sister, shaking her white locks. "We'll figure something out. Until then, keep yourself in check, Ky."
"I know, Sy." she says with a sigh.
They both turn to the door as the ones outside come back.

((*giggle* I know the feeling, Dae. I get it all the time.))

Dante listened, looking . . . interested. It wasn't him that was interested, really. It was the monster - the curse. If it was linked to darkness, something drew it and called to the creature. Ti headed back inside, looking back to see if the rest of them were following. Shaking his head, Dante slowly slid back into the inn. If she isn't dead, then what happened? Even more startling: why couldn't an experienced individual like Ti catch a hint?

The white-haired male frowned. What on earth was going on? Confusion was one feeling he didn't do well with. For a moment his silver eyes lingered on the strange twins at the counter. He'd met up with them the previous night . . . in the hall. A blush forced its way onto his pale face before he cleared his throat and blinked in Scarlett's direction. And to think . . . we're all stuck here now.

At the news Scarlett stood by Dante, her face showing no emotion as she thought this over. She had followed a few of the others outside to see the crime scene, but there was no blood. Her eyes widened and she looked around for her darling brother. Had he done this yet again? She turned and quickly left the others where they were and ran inside. Her mind raced as she stepped beside her brother who was sitting at the bar. "I need to talk with you.. now!" She said, pulling him off his bar stool by his arm and leading him into the hallway by the stairs. "You said you wouldn't do this again!" She cried, hitting his chest with her hand. Tears streamed down her pale, doll like face.

When Ace was pulled off his chair and away from his drink he reached out to grab it, but to his luck he couldn't get it in time. He growled at his sisters sudden questioning and pushed her back, sighing as she hit the wall of the small hallway they were in. "I didn't do it! How many damn times do I have to tell you I've stopped killing?" He asked, sadness in his voice as he spoke. "I'm not an idiot.. I wouldn't go and kill the only kind person we've encountered on our whole trip. If only you wouldn't of gotten caught up with that asshole.. now I have to spend every day of my life protecting you!" He said, his sadness turning to anger as glared at her.

Scarlett frowned. "I didn't mean to love him okay? And how was I supposed to know he'd try to kill me and do all those horrible things just because I tried to leave him.." She said, looking to the ground. "I'm sorry Ace, I just thought.. well, lately you've been a bit.." She stopped. " I shouldn't of assumed you murdered her. I'm sorry. But never once did I say you had to live your life on the road to protect me. You could be off having your own life while I run from town to town.." She turned away from him, her face covered in tears. "I have to get back to Dante..He's been so kind to me." She said, walking out of the hallway and quickly wiping her eyes. She went back to the area where everyone was. She sighed when she caught Dante glancing at the twins.

Ace kicked at the wall, not hard enough to damage it but enough to get his anger out. He frowned as his sister went away and went back to the bar, glancing at the twins. "Hey." He smiled, running his hand through his dark hair and smirked at them. "Mind if I buy you two beautiful ladies a drink?" He asked, knowing twins would be just what he needed to cheer himself up a bit. He took a sip of his own drink and ordered the ladies both a drink like the one they already had.

Twin expressionless eyes turned to Ace, pale death moons and dark blood red orbs gazing at him as if sizing him up. They weren't exactly trying to act mean, it was just....Ki'la pushed off of the bar with a snort, grabbing the drink he ordered for her, and walked towards a table in a corner, her eyes till keeping track of her sister and the man.
Si'la took the stool that stood where her sister vacated next to the man, managed a weak smile at the man and spoke with her soft, water like voice. "I apologize for my sisters behavior. She was never one for flattery. I am not much either," she admitted, "but at least I humor people. Thank you for the drinks." She jerked her head towards up the stair towards the hall he had just vacated. "Seems we both have troubles with siblings, though I imagine they are quite different, considering…” She looked at him again, evaluating the expression in his eyes, her features without expression again. “I’m afraid we were ease-dropping, though it would be hard for the two of us to not hear you. We have…sensitive hearing. I apologize again. And other senses. She choose not to speak that aloud. She did not want to give them too much away.

(Scarlett.... theres no blood whatsoever which is why this whole mystery is so perplexing to everyone)

Daeman looked up at Ti and agreed with a nod of her head. It was better to take care of this business inside, out of the way of other outsiders that might try to listen in on them. She looked up at Dante who had joined them earlier. She walked inside with Ti after getting a wink from Dante. Everything was just so perplexing, she needed time to think. When she went inside, the woman that Dante was interested in had started screaming at her brother about something, but she let it stay out of her mind otherwise she would get some crazy ideas and try to force it out of the man. When she did get inside completely, she closed the door knowing that she was the last one inside and locked the door so no one else could get into this inn. They had to find out who or what did this, or she knew it would be on all of their minds without mercy towards what it would make them think. The people could turn on each other easily with everything that had happened, and it seemed that it started with Dante's new lover. With quick footwork for a smaller humanoid, the halfling went to a table and jumped into the chair to sit.

The moment Scarlett returned, Dante wrapped an absent arm around her shoulders. "Everything alright?" he asked, blinking his thoughts away. He'd heard Ace's rough tone, but hadn't heard what they were saying. He wasn't really listening, really. He'd been far too distracted by Ace as he moved in on the twins.
Shaking his head, Dante ran a hand through his white hair. "You look . . . disturbed." His silver eyes finally caught the stray tear that had slipped to the edge of her eye. Reaching forward, the male wiped it away worriedly. Does she know something I don't? Or was it just her brother being terrible?

"Oh i'm fine.. Ace and I just don't see eye to eye sometimes." She said, her pale face blushing from his kindness. She noticed her eying her brother and the twins. A small wave of jealousy washed through her and she quickly took his hand. "So what was it that you wanted to talk about?" She asked, half worried as to what would happen if she wasn't out of the Inn in a day or two. She figured she'd eventually have to tell Dante of her troubles, so now would be the best then to just leave one morning. Her emerald eyes scanned over her brother, wondering his emotions, then they returned back to Dante, wondering why he had been staring at the twins lately. "Dante.. I know your not really the relationship type.. so if you wish to go and speak with the twins, or any girl for the matter, I can't stop you. " She said, leaning over and kissing the side of his face.

"No problem, we were probably yelling loud enough for most of the inn to hear." He chuckled. "Though i'm not worried.. I killed no one here so theres nothing for me to worry about." He said, taking a swig of his drink and sitting it back on the bar. "Sibling problems, Don't even get me started.." He smirked, leaning back in his chair. "We just don't have the same priorities anymore. I want to protect her, and she wants to protect herself without my help.." He muttered. He looked in Scarlett's direction and saw her kissing Dante's face. He sighed instantly. "And I don't very much like the player shes with..we'll be leaving soon, so it will just hurt her in the end." He said simply. "But let's forget about my problems. Whats your name?" He asked, smiling.

Ki'la watched as the others came in, her pale eyes flashing red just for the briefest of moments every few minutes. She smiled as the little woman came in and sat in a chair. She got out of her corner and found a chair at the same table as Daeman. She didn't sit right next to her, since she figured the halfling still didn't like her much. "So, how was outside? Anything interesting?" She smiled, hopefully nicely. She didn't want to scare the small woman, now did she?

Si'la watched as the others entered and her gaze fell on her twin and she watched her with a curious expression on her face. She turned back to Ace, her bloody eyes seeming to sparkle more then normal. "Perhaps you should let her. There comes a time when you have to let go of the things you've held closest. Protect her but don't smother her." She looked back at the wall behind the bar. She takes a drink of her water and says simply, "Si'la."

"W-what?" Dante blinked, and felt her soft lips press against his features. "I don't want to talk with them." The male shook his head, slipping his hand up to the side of her face. "I was just . . . thinking." Not the relationship type? Oh, my. Was it my flirtatious manner that gave it away so easily? Dante almost cringed. Ignoring everyone else, he concentrated on Scarlett.

"I . . . was going to tell you something important. I don't feel comfortable being around others, so if I am goin to tell you. . . ." Dante trailed off, glancing to Ace and the woman he was talking to. For once, he was too preoccupied to think about the twins; far too distracted by what he was going to say. Swallowing quietly, the tall male reached out to fix a few strands of Scarlett's hair. He took the moment to lean closer to her, his lips pressing against her forehead. "Don't freak out," he breathed.
His gloved hand moved up to cradle her face, and he let his lips press against hers passionately. Their "moment" seemed to get a bit hot, and Dante pulled back to meet her gaze. The pale youth smiled slightly as he stepped backward, pulling both of Scarlett's hands to get her to follow. They would be left alone easily. They just needed to get to his room.

Scarlett blushed when he pulled her closer and she kissed back to contribute to their "moment". She took his hands and met his gaze, smiling a little. "I promise, I won't freak out." She said, curious as to what he meant. She followed after him and gave a slight nod of her pale face. "Sorry, I just assumed you wished to speak with them." She smirked, looking to the ground. "Something important eh? Then i'm all ears." She said, lacing her hands with his as she followed after him. She knew her brother wouldn't like it.. but what could he do to stop her?

Ace sighed. "I know, It's just.. we've always been close and now all of a sudden she has no need for me to stick around even though shes in danger." He said, then shook his head. It was better not to talk of her. He looked towards the girl. "What a beautiful name. I'm Ace.. unless I already said that.." He muttered, shaking his head. Too many drinks confused him.
