((yeah, I'll bring Ace and Scarlett back in the morning > . < ))
|
(( sorry for the lateness in my posts, I have been a bit busy as of late.))
Ti gave a chuckle and a nod, drinking the last of the rum in his cup. "Getting some rest sounds like a good idea....I shall certainly think on the interesting offer. Thank you for the company, Daeman." He said, standing and giving a slight bow. "Oyasumi Nasai, I shall see you tomorrow, I hope." He said, poking a bit of fun at the danger they were in, even in the most mundane of times. Being an assassin wasn't easy by any means..... He gave another smile, and excused himself, going back to his room. Once there, he double checked all his weapons as well as the room, caution and habit telling him to. Once secure, he stripped down, selecting a small dagger to place under his pillow, and lay stomach down. He was tense, and lay listening for a while before sleep finally overcame him. |
Daeman stood and bowed to the man to show the same respect he was saying to her. "Oyasumi Nasai. I hope we do see each other tomorrow." Once the man was gone, she finished the run she had in her cup and jumped down from the bed. She checked the room again then set a trap against her door and window in the room. As an assassin, no one could be too careful when it came to wanting to sleep through the night. She locked the door so that if anyone wanted to come in they would realize that this wasnt their room. She jumped back onto her bed, putting some of her weapons away in order to be packed in case of an emergency. She kept out her sais though which made it easy to defend herself incase the people did get past her traps. The little halfling fell right to sleep once her head hit the pillow.

Elysia rose from her sleepless rest at dawn, smoothing down her dress and hair, she appeared as she always did. She quietly made her way down the stairs, slipping into the kitchen to softly knock on the door leading to Dubhaigh's room. "Dubhaigh.... It's time to start breakfast preparations." She said softly, tapping on the door one more time before turning away to light a kettle on the stove. She hummed lightly as she selected a tea for herself and worked on setting up the coffee pot to brew.
|
It really sucked being unable to sleep. Especially with a hangover. Sitting at the counter, Dante kept his eyes closed as the inn workers started to rouse. He heard Elysia knock on the barkeep's door, but the cursed man didn't move. Instead, he merely let his head fall against his arms again. He was leaning against the surface before him, head resting on his arms. There was no sleep for the weary, it seemed.
Sighing quietly, the man let his silver eyes flicker open to glance at Elysia. He sent her a weak half-smile as he attempted to rest again. His head felt like it was going to internally combust. . . . |
Dubhaigh was already awake and slipped under the door after he heard the knock, forming into his standard appearance as he exited. "Right on it, ma'am," he said to Elysia, "And good morning to you." He grabbed several pans and threw them onto the stovetop. "How about lingonberry pancakes and biscuits and quail gravy."

Scarlett woke up very early after having one of her usual nightmares. Her mind was spinning as she got up, looking around the room before grabbing her bag. She looked over to Ace in his bed who was still dead asleep, making soft breathing noises. She took out a simple black mini dress and a black long sleeved cardigan that she left unbuttoned to show off the dress. She went into the bathroom and slid the dress on, then put on the cardigan before fluffing her hair and heading out of their room.
She made her way down the hallway, skipping quietly down the steps. Maybe she could go explore outside or something until others woke up. She smirked when she saw Dante at the bar but acted as though she didn't see him. He'd have to talk to her if he wanted her to speak with him, not the other way around. Twins.. she rolled her eyes, waving to the inn keeper. "Good morning to you both." Scarlett said, looking to the bartender as well. She turned and walked over to the front door, peering through the window to see what type of weather it was outside. (( Her dress: http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...-WUksMOD1oce_I )) |
(( D: Julia can't wake up yet! Oh, no! I have to wait... :) ))
|
Dante perked up at the sound of Scarlett's voice. Slowly sitting up, the male stood. He would deal with the headache - and he may as well be polite while doing it. "Good morning, Miss Scarlett." Suddenly appearing beside the woman, he leaned against the other side of the windowframe. "How did you sleep?" He obviously had slept like a rock . . . but he wouldn't call it a "good night." The cursed man flinched away from the sun for a moment, squinting his eyes. It was too bright for him.
Glancing back to Scarlett he took in her dress. The sight honestly riled his beastial persona, and he offered a sly smile before turning his gaze back to the outside world. Slivers of red disappeared from his eyes as he calmed himself down. |
Dubhaigh walked out to the bar area and saw two patrons already there. "Good morning, Scarlett, and good morning to you, Dante," he said, "Could I interest either of you in a little "Whiskey before Breakfast"?" He started humming the tune he had referenced as he looked at the two. Meanwhile, he was already pulling out the whiskey bottle. He poured a glass for himself and took a sip, leaving the bottle out in case anyone obliged.
|
"One for me would be nice." She said to Dubhaigh. She smiled when Dante came over by her. "Why Hello Dante, I slept beautifully." She said, watching as he looked down at her dress. She blushed a little. "Would you like to go on a walk with me? I haven't seen much of the outside of the tavern and its such a beautiful day.." She said, sighing a longing sigh as she looked out. It was almost as if she was dreaming of a fairytale, her eyes lit up and shimmering. She put let herself take in his appearance, still handsome. But he looked very tired.

Aneira woke up in the morning. The fire had gone out partway threw the night, forcing her to wake up and fix it. Of coarse Aneira could just put a blanket over her, but the fire was so much more inviting. She stretched, throwing a bit of fire in the fire place to completely put it out while she dressed for the day. Just her normal armor. Nothing too special. Well, the armor itself was quite lovely to anyone outside of her clan. Putting the cloak over her form, she decided to go outside to soak in the sun for a little while.
Aneira headed out of her room, and down the stairs. There seemed to be no one in the main entry way just yet, but Aneira headed right outside into the sun. Already feeling the rays warming her threw her cloak. She made her way towards a small clearing, not too far from the inn, but still hiding in her own little word. She was surrounded by little purole flowers. Aneira walked into the sun putting her cloak off, and laid down. Resting her large bow next to her. |
(Im loosing my brain.. Such a bad migrane... Ill wake the halfling up after her hangover i guess)
|
"Alright, one whiskey," said Dubhaigh, pulling out another glass and pouring from the bottle. Then he slid in Scarlett's direction and said, "There you go, ma'am," but she seemed to be fixed on Dante, so he slid it the rest of the way over to her. Then he took another sip from his own glass and watched the two.
|
Daeman woke up to a new day and packed her bag. Maybe she could stay here for a couple days. It might even be fun. Yawning, she grabbed her key, jumped off the bed and walked downstairs to get some food. Her head was spinning from all the alcohol she drank and the conversation that came with it. There were a lot of people sitting downstairs already having their food. Walking up to the bar, she had to climb the chair in order to sit on it, then laid her head down so that she didnt disturb the bartender just yet.
|
Dante gave Scarlett another smile as she spoke. "That's very good to hear," he said. Shrugging, he shook his head in Dubhaigh's direction. "I shouldn't have anything. I had my fill last night." He hadn't had a drink in so long . . . the three that he'd had were enough to make him crash and burn. Thank goodness there was a difference between tipsy and drunk.
Glancing over Scarlett's dress once again, the male offered his arm. "If you don't mind being seen with me, then I suppose we can go for a walk. I know some of the town." As the girl's hands rested on his red trench coat's arm, his silver eyes flickered over her again. The sunlight streaming through the window was making her glow like she was coated in angel dust. Slowly giving in to the urge that suddenly washed over him, Dante brushed some of Scarlett's hair away from her face. "You're easy on the eyes, Miss Scarlett." For a moment his eyes flashed with apology. "No offense intended." |
"Thanks, your not so bad yourself." She smirked, taking his arm. "Of course I wouldn't mind being seen with you, your a very handsome man." She said, looking away and blushing a little when he brushed some of her hair away from her face. She let her arm drop from Dante's and went over to get her drink. She picked it up with her right hand, gracefully taking a drink. "Thank you Dubhaigh." She said, smiling at him. He was also very attractive, but her goal wasn't to be more to anyone then just a friend since her and Ace would have to leave as soon as they had the money.
She blew him a kiss of thanks as most people where she came from did and then went back to Dante, taking his arm and opening the front door for them both. She had her drink in her free hand now and her other over Dante's strong arm. She stepped out, looking back at him to see if he was coming along with her."So how were those twins you spent the night with?" She asked as a sly smile appeared on her face. |
Dante watched as Scarlett took her drink. He caught the door for her as they stepped out, and followed along before slipping his arm into hers. "Twins?" For a moment his silver eyes narrowed in confusion. He thought for a few moments before recalling what twins he'd talked to. "Their room is beside mine." He caught her sly smile, and returned it with a sheepish grin of his own. "I said hello to them last night. They made me drop my key." It was his turn to blush a bit. The dusting of color nearly matched his coat. "I don't recall much of what I said."
They started walking along the outside of the inn, slowly meandering their way through a warm street. The tall male seemed to have no problem with the contact between the two of them. He even managed to reach over and snag her drink for a sip. |
She grinned. "Mhm.. I'm sure they made you drop more then your key." She said jokingly, giggling when he took a sip of her drink. She started to walk around the Inn, taking in the surroundings and looking at all the lovely flowers. "So since you said you've come around here before.. what is there to do in this town?" She asked, looking up at him and taking her drink back, sipping it for a few seconds before just holding it. She let her eyes look him over, smirking as he blushed over her comment and still had her arm hooked with his. She had noticed him look at her dress a few times before, as he probably caught her looking at him. He was attractive, tall and easy to talk with so she had no problem hanging out with him.
|
Dante's blush darkened drastically when the girl mentioned the twins again. He gently cleared his throat as he licked the remains of liquid from his lips. "I don't recall."
Watching as Scarlett took her drink back, the pale-skinned male grinned. "The marketplace is an interesting area to be. There is a fountain in the middle of the square that I find interesting." Not to mention the library . . . but he didn't want to keep the poor girl captive all day. She didn't look like she was troubled by his presense - and he most definitely wasn't bothered by hers. The glances they continued to shoot back and forth almost made him laugh. "Perhaps we can start in the middle of town?" His silver eyes lingered on her hand (which was still on his arm) before he reached for her glass once again. "I'm sure there is something there that will interest you." Especially if you enjoy looking at something like me every few seconds. She was just about the prettiest thing he'd seen in a long while. |
Scarlett nodded a little and looked up at him. "Sure, we can start in the middle of town.. I'd love to see that fountain." She said, grinning when he took her drink again. She didn't make another comment of the twins since he didn't act like he slept with them, and if he did she didn't really care. He was still talking to her now, not them. So why care about a one night stand?
She blushed when he blushed since it made him look even more handsome then before. "Well I can only stay out of the Inn till about one or two, then i'll have to get back or my brother will throw one of his fits.." She grinned, her eyes glancing to the ground as they walked. The landscape of the Inn truly was a nice thing to look at. |
By the time Dante handed Scarlett her glass once again, they had joined a busier street. "We shouldn't be gone quite that long," he said, patting her hand gently. Taking one last glance over her dainty form, the male started toward the middle of the town square.
The fountain was rather large - it sprayed higher than three men could stand, its water sparkling brightly in the morning light. Ignoring the sets of eyes that followed them, Dante took Scarlett's nearly empty glass once again. Setting it on the stone rim of the fountain, he gave the girl a smile before setting his hands on her waist. "Watch your step," he whispered, his lips awefully close to her ear. Lifting Scarlett into the air, Dante carefully set her on the ledge of the fountain. For once, she was taller than him. Looking up at her pretty face, he kept hold of one of Scarlett's hands so she wouldn't lose her balance. "The water is colder than a mountain stream," he commented, pointing to the nearest spray of sparkling water. Her hand wasn't cold - it was a perfect temperature. Scarlett drew more eyes than Dante's, but it was to his benefit that she was with him. His silver eyes refused to leave her face as he led her along the stone rim gently. "Your brother . . . what's his name?" |
(when will the plot start?...)
|
Scarlett's face turned a light crimson color when he lifted her up onto the side of the fountain. She laced her fingers with him and ignored the many eyes looking in their direction. In her point of view it was just him and her, and that's how she wanted it to stay. "His name is Ace." She said softly, her emerald eyes glancing away from Dante to look at the beautiful fountain that she was by. She had one foot walk in front of the other as she circled the large rim of the fountain. Her free hand went out to let a few drops of water fall onto it and then let her hand fall back to her side. "It is pretty cold, but still lovely to look at." She said, her eyes looking down at him. She turned to face him instead of face the direction in front of her and put took her hand from his to put both her hands on his shoulders.
"If I was this tall would you still be fond of me?" She asked, raising one eyebrow as she let her eyes look into his. She looked around to notice a few girls staring at him and felt a flicker of jealousy but quickly brushed it away. She leaned down and kissed the left side of his face as a thank you for taking her here. "You've been so kind to me and yet we've just met." She said, her hands dropping from his shoulders only for her left hand to take his again as she walked a little bit more around the fountain. |
Dubhaigh waved to Scarlett and Dante as they left and wished them well. Then he picked up the glasses and wiped down the counter. Many patrons were still asleep or outside at this time it seemed. Then he saw the small girl with her head down at the bar. He walked over and said, "Could I interest you in some coffee or tea, we've also got several breakfast items being prepared. The pancakes are especially good for hangovers."
