Daeman35 03-23-2011 12:04 AM

Daeman lifted her head at the tall man's voice. She looked completely hungover even though she knew she wasnt. Halflings never got hungover from too much drinking (or at least never admitted it). "Oh... uh. im not hungover." She stated like any other halfling would. "But ill take those pancakes and an ice tea with sugar please." She groggily got her head to stay still on her neck so that she didnt kill her neck. "Thank you very much."

KageShio 03-23-2011 12:15 AM

((Plot will start in the evening of this day in the RP. How fast that comes up depends on who wants to play out the day or speed it up after breakfast and people waking. Also, apologies for my disappearance, my daughter had a nasty cold. ))

Elysia had mostly stayed out of sight, working in the kitchen contentedly while humming lightly. Despite the already pleasant morning, her head was starting to throb, causing her to knit her brows slightly. She shook her head as the dull pain left as suddenly as it came, shrugging it off and continuing to cook the pancakes, being careful not to break the small bright red berries inside.

Ti woke with a start, chest heaving and knife drawn as the last echoes of his nightmare faded into the dim light falling through the curtains. He blinked a few times, lowering his arm and taking a deep breath, recalling where he was and why. relaxed, he fell back onto the bed, sighing. Glancing towards the window, he could tell it was still fairly early in the morning, way too early for him to be awake. He tried to settle himself back down, willing sleep to come back.

----------

Ti sighed, sleep just would not come back. He yawned and flipped over, stretching with a chorus of pops and cracks before sitting up. He blinked slowly as he stood, reaching for clean clothing and dressing, complete with three hidden knives and the small blade in it's home within his pocket. He ran a hand through his long tresses, combing it with his fingers as he stepped out of his room, locking the door behind him.

Letting out another yawn, he looked to his right, finding the cozy reading niche he saw last night. He smiled slightly and walked over to the book cases, scanning them for a moment before turning back to the plush, inviting chair and marble chess table. Without another thought, he sat down at the table and began a to play against himself.

Feral Fantom 03-23-2011 03:04 AM

"Sounds great," said Dubhaigh, grabbing a glass and filling it with the tea. He slid it over to Daeman and said, "Alright, there's your drink, I'll be right back with the food." Then he walked to the back where he saw Elysia. He grabbed a plate, placing a few of the pancakes on it. "They look lovely, ma'am," he said with a smile, "The pancakes that is." He reached for the syrup bottle on the shelf but his hand met the wall. "Have you seen the syrup?"

KageShio 03-23-2011 03:19 AM

Elysia smiled at the cheerful Puca,"Thank you, Dubhaigh." She said as she flipped the three cakes on the griddle. At his inquiry, she frowned slightly. "It should be there, dear, look again." She said, waving him towards the cabinet again. Were he to reach in again, he would find the glass bottle, full of amber syrup, as if it was there all along.

Daeman35 03-23-2011 03:20 AM

Daeman caught the glass that was slid over to her from the bar. It wasnt that hard. It was either that or it would hit her face and she didnt need anymore public humiliation. She looked around the room but didnt find anything or anyone that interesting. Her dreams were still wavering on her mind like some kind of plague. It was about her family at the Baily, family meaning the entire town seeing how the halflings were known for their towns of entire families, not just neighbors. It had been attacked a while back. That was why she became an assassin. There was no place else for her. She had escaped with a gnome scout who had danced with her that night. The only problem was that this story was just a dream.... Or was it. She took a sip of the sugary ice cold tea and felt like she was in heaven. Yes normally halflings would be drinking pints or water right now too but she didnt feel like it. Now alls he had to do was wait for the pancakes that were said to be absolutely divine by the bartender.

KageShio 03-23-2011 04:26 AM

(( It seems my bartender has wandered off.... *pokes the Puca* ))

Feral Fantom 03-23-2011 05:14 AM

Dubhaigh reached up again and felt the syrup bottle. How odd. "Err, thanks," he said, and gave another smile, "I'll take this out now, have fun." He walked out to the front and placed the food in front of Daeman. "Alright there's your pancakes. And here's the syrup," he said, placing the bottle down next to her plate, "I hope you like them."

((Lol, I'm used to a post and dash style))

KageShio 03-23-2011 05:34 AM

((Ah, it's alright. I was just confused because it said you were online, but you didn't respond to anything. ))

Elysia gave him a warm smile, but simply continued to pour and flip pancakes, sliding the finished ones onto a plate kept warm in the oven. She paused a moment to serve herself some, savoring the taste with just a light drizzle of honey.

Ti had to soon abandon his game of chess, the smell of the sweet griddlecakes was too good to ignore for long. He quickly made his way down the stairs, boots making no sound as he crossed the wood floor and slid onto a seat at the bar. He gave a nod in hello to the tired looking Daemon and the energetic bartender. "Any more of those pancakes around?" He asked, looking the handsome man over.

((Floor plans for the inn are finally up! Drawn by Drakina, (badly) colored by me. ))

"Ace," Dante repeated. "I'll be sure to get you back before Ace starts to throw a fit." Sending her a wink, the male chuckled and continued to guide her around the fountain. When Scarlett came to a stop, Dante met her gaze.
"If I was this tall would you still be fond of me?"
Tilting his head in thought, the man squinted his eyes. "I would, angel. Though, I suppose it would make things a bit different," he whispered up to her. Dante's hands covered hers as she rested them on his shoulders, a brief flicker of delight crossing over his pale features. He closed his eyes as she leaned down to kiss his cheek, and he didn't stop the silly grin that spread over his face. Feeling Scarlett's fingers entwine with his own, Dante started forward once again. He didn't notice the people, or the morning activities of the townsfolk passing by. Still looking up to the girl with his silver gaze full of admiration, he chuckled at her next words.
"Isn't every lady supposed to be treated well?" He sounded honest with his question. "A pretty thing like you deserves special treatment, Scarlett." Carefully stopping, he offered his second hand to help her down. It was time for a stroll about the market - the vendors were setting up their shops about now.

Feral Fantom 03-23-2011 06:43 AM

"Certainly," said Dubhaigh to Ti as he sat down at the bar. "I'll go grab some right now, and while I'm gone you might decide from our beverages this morning. Of course all alcohol is still available," at this point he raised his own glass and tilted his head back to take a drink, "And we also have several juices, milk, coffee, and hot tea." Then he turned around and quickly entered the kitchen grabbing another order of pancakes, and turning to Elysia said, "That's quite a lot of pancakes, if you need help with anything feel free to call me back here." Then he took the food out to Ti and said, "Alright here it is, did you want anything to drink?"

((It probably always says I'm online since I leave my computer on, and often I just come here, post, check a few forums, then go to other sites))

Katie Scarlett Divine 03-23-2011 09:46 AM

Scarlett smirked at his grin and took his second hand to step down, of fall down since she was taller then Dante on the fountain and in reality she had to look up at him. She giggled when she almost fell into him and then caught herself by just barely hitting his chest. She was still blushing from when he called her angel. But yes it would be a bit odd if she was that much taller then him. And anyways, she liked tall men. "Well yes.. every lady should be treated with respect... but some of the men I met on my way here weren't that kind to me." She said, looking towards the water. She looked up at him with a sly smile. "If I get special treatment for my looks then what does that get you? V.I.P treatment?" She smirked, glancing at his handsome face before looking down at his chest.

Daeman35 03-23-2011 01:58 PM

Daeman sat straight up looking at the pancakes that were placed right in front of her as she did so. Slowly, she pulled her shoulders down and lifted her chest. This action cracked her back in just the right spot. Quickly after that, she went to eating her pancakes. Thats when Ti arrived and ordered his own pancakes. Taking one bite of her own pancakes, her eyes went wide. THEY WERE SO GOOD. She poured some of the syrup onto the flat cakes and tried that. She didnt rush her meal of course. She savored every bite. Before she spoke she swallowed the bite she had in her mouth. "Good morning Ti."

Esmme 03-23-2011 03:06 PM

When Scarlett began to fall, Dante didn't move. He let her fall against him, a smile spreading over his face. "Perhaps," he replied. A strange look passed over his features before he turned toward the marketplace. Gently pulling Scarlett to hold his arm again, the male led her forward. "If that V.I.P. treatment includes having you with me for a day, then I'm all for it." With another wink, Dante pointed to the nearest vendor.

For the next couple hours, the couple observed many different things. There were precious stones, leather goods, strange weapons, and even better food. There was no end to the oddities that were spread out before them. By the time two o'clock was rolling around, Dante finally sighed quietly. He was holding the other half of a treat they'd shared: some sort of sugared bread. "Time to head back," the silver-haired youth said, knowing it would take them at least a good fifteen minutes to cross the market area again.
The day had been (even for him) quite a dream. Things like this didn't just happen. They happened even more rarely to a cursed man. For the first time that morning, a dark expression entered Dante's eyes. I wish this were how things could stay.
By the time they were approaching the inn, their bread was finally finished. Now there was no evidence that they'd been in the market. Just as they were nearing the door, Dante snagged Scarlett's shoulder and pulled her aside. "I've been wanting to do this all day," he whispered, reaching up to cradle her face in his hands. Pressing a kiss to the girl's lips, he let the moment linger . . . and then pulled away in order to lead her inside.

Drakina 03-23-2011 05:24 PM

((Esmme, wait up for the rest of us!))

Julia opened her eyes, violet-brown orbs adjusting quickly to the dimness in her room. She groaned quietly, it was too early to get up, it wasn't even noon yet. She pulled the blanket up over her head, not wanting to get up, but the sudden ache in her stomach let her know why she was awake so early. She grumbled again, throwing off the blanket and sitting up. "It's a pointless adaptation, waking up before the night if one hasn't fed well enough," she said to herself. She sniffed the air, a hint of a scent having caught her attention. "Breakfast. They're eating breakfast, and I'm awake." She bent over to pull on her boots, tying them firmly and standing up to look around her room again. She shook her head, walking into the bathroom to straighten up, glad of the thick curtains in here, too. She suddenly remembered not seeing windows in the hallway. She walked over to her door, opening it a crack to make sure she was right. She was, that left her a little more room to pace, really. Though there was light coming up from the downstairs. But it wasn't any worse than she had endured before. She spied the chess table, with it's half-played game, and walked over, wondering who had been playing.

Hresvelgr 03-23-2011 05:44 PM

Aneira simply got up after a while. Moving around. she headed back towards the Inn. Resting the cloak back over her form. There was a market in town she decided to head too. Aneira could maybe find a job for the day. she was not a mercenary or assassin. Just simply took odd jobs. If it meant killing a man, she would ask questions first. Seeing if the man was worthy to die by her blade. She walked the market place. Stopping at a table with a few stone necklaces.

"You like what you see?" The old woman running the stand asked her.

"How much?" Aneira questioned, getting right to the point. She picked up a simple green necklace she liked. Holding it in the air in front of her.

"Thirty. It is a precious stone after all. But if you are interested, I have something I may offer one of your kind."

"My kind?"

"Collector of jewerly of coarse my dear." The woman said with a small laugh as she pulled out an old box. It was the same sort of design, just with a painite hanging from the end. "This pretty thing will cost about two hundred thirty five."

Aneira reached behind her, pulling out her money pouch with a few gold coins and dollar bills. Paying the surprised woman and taking the necklace for her own. She thanked the old woman before heading on her way. Back towards the inn. She walked back into the bar.

"May I have something to eat?" Aneira asked the man behind the counter.

KageShio 03-23-2011 06:35 PM

"Ohayo, Daeman. Sleep well?" He asked, slipping into his native tongue for the greeting and letting out a small chuckle at the look on the halfling's face. They must be good pancakes, not only was the small wonderful, the halfling was amazed. He didn't have to ponder long, as a plate of them was set in front of him a moment later. He gave a nod of thanks to the bartender, scanning the shelves behind him a moment before answering. "Coffee with brandy and cream, please." He said as he picked up the first of the thin cakes, forgoing topping and folding it in half to eat it as a sandwich.

He smiled as the taste of the fluffy pancake made his tongue melt. They were very good, the berries gave it a perfect tart sweetness without syrup or honey. As he waited for his drink, he glanced over to the dragoness from last night, discreetly studying her in the better light of the morning.

Elysia gave another of her ever-present smiles as Dubhaigh offered help. "Well we do have a full house. I'm almost finished with these, then I want to make a stew for dinner and it should get started right away." She said, waving him off again with a pale hand. "I'm quite alright in here, you tend to the patrons for now."

Drakina 03-23-2011 06:53 PM

Julia walked closer to the balcony rail, looking down at the sitting area. Slowly walking around the corner closest to her room, she gained a view of the bar as well. She leaned against it, watching the halfling and dhampir eat, and the bartender bustle about. She leaned a little to the side and caught sight of the half dragon, as well. "I almost wish... wait." She spun around walking into her room and thinking a few moments before pulling a necklace out from her things. She slipped it on, then walked back out, locking her door behind her and slipping the key into her corset. She walked over to the balcony again, sticking her hand over the edge and into a patch of sunlight. Light tingle, no pain. Good, it still works. She withdrew her hand, walking downstairs to look at the place in daylight. "It looks better in the light," she said, walking over to the bar and sitting at an end, away from the dhampir. One hand wandered up to fidget with the necklace.

Katie Scarlett Divine 03-23-2011 06:54 PM

Scarlett's day had been absolutely amazing. She had seen all the wonders this town could offer her and spent the whole day with her arm linked in Dante's. She found that he too enjoyed sweets from the way they both shared their treat of the day together and all in all, the day had been very enjoyable. She laughed and talked of her life with him, and things of his own life until her time to get back finally neared. Her sigh was a sad one as they walked back and then was suddenly pulled into a kiss. She kissed back, her hands resting on his shoulders. When he pulled away she leaned in to give him another kiss, letting her lips fall on his for more then a few moments and then letting her head lean back as well.

"I think you've given me the best day I've had in a few years.." She said, her blush still on her face. She would've loved to kiss him more but she knew Ace was probably up by now and waiting for her. She opened the door for them both and led him inside, her hand still linked in his and looked back at him. "Wanna get a drink with me?" She asked, looking towards the bar. After the sugary bread she was pretty thirsty. And she didn't want to be away from him just yet.

((Gosh, Ace is finally awake xD))

Ace had finally woken up by falling off of the bed and groaning to himself. He cursed a few times before getting up and seeing that it was right around the time he usually woke up. Mid afternoon. Ace was never the type to get up early for he had no point, he only worked at night so he had no reason to get up as early as his sister did. Ace looked around the room figuring his sister was downstairs and then put on a black tee shirt and blue faded jeans over his black and grey checkered boxers. He slipped on his converse and headed out of their room, kicking the door shut behind him. He went down the hall and down the few steps before seeing his sisters hand linked it a mans had. He clenched his fist, sighing to himself since he could tell by her glowing expression that she considered him a lot more then a friend.

Ace took his seat at the bar and looked around there was breakfast being served but Ace never was one for breakfast, usually only dinner or lunch was his time to eat. He noticed Julia at the bar. He eyed her and gave her a small wave of hello to hope to draw her beautiful eyes to his meaningless blue ones. How odd he and his sister were, both with black hair and yet she had emerald eyes, and he had blue.
