Dusk nodded "this is the way both my brother Pein and I feel we just want to stay away from the despare" she said leaning against a tree.
(BTW my bf joined but he isnt interested in romance so he will come in during the fighting) |
"Hm. There is a war going on. Of course there's reason to be wary." He was almost completely believing that the female was out of it by now. The Avalia were usually self-righteous noble idiots who insist on doing things the 'noble' way. Deception was a less-used option as they consider it beneath them. |
The unnamed female smiled at Archer. "Thank you. I appreciate your help and concern." Then the female frowned. "Why is there a war going on?" She asked as she used the branch to walk at a better pace as she followed Archer. |
Walking at a slow pace so the female could keep up, Archer replied absent-mindedly: "I don't know. The war's been going on for a long time, longer than I can remember. I'm in it for personal reasons, I've never asked for the bigger picture." His ultimate goal was all that mattered to him; the rest he could care less. |
"While there is war there will always be despair." Feori took a few steps towards her, then stopped. Turning his back to her. "It's inescapable. War brings only pain and sadness to everyone involved in it. For the innocent people that get caught in the crossfire it's a million times worse." He rubbed the back of his neck lightly. "War is meaningless. No matter the reason or cause for it. No matter what you're fighting for. Deaths on either side are in vain, meaningless no matter who wins. War is unnecessary. Things could be brought to a close with peaceful negotiations, but people are so stubborn. War is the product of stubborn people. People who don't care about how everyone else is hurt by the war, as long as they get what they want it doesn't matter." Feori was rambling, he knew that. His right fist had clenched and then slowly unclenched as he spoke.
|
The unnamed girl wondered aloud, "I wonder what Archer's reasons for fighting in this war are..." |
She nodded agreeing completely with his ramble " I wish we weren't on opposite sides of the war" she said sadly "you seem like a really good friend... and i would hate to run in to you on the battlefield..." she said as she sat on the forest floor.
|
Archer rolled his eyes at the girl's (unintentional or not) antics. Not that it was much of a secret; everyone who knew him probably knew what his goals were. |
The unnamed girl pauses and lifts her stick in an attempt to poke him in the back. "That's cruel. Why would you do that to these Cendours?" |
He turned towards her with a grin. "You see how well two people on opposing sides can get along? We're all just people after all. That's evidence right there that things should try to be settled peacefully." Then he shrugged. "I doubt you'd see me on the battlefield. I'm not much of a fighter, I'm just an errand boy. A letter carrier." Yup giving out information like that to an enemy was a bad idea..but she did seem rather trustworthy. Still if they captured and tortured him they could get locations of important camp sites and hidden weapons. He forced those thoughts away. "My name's Feori." As far a he was concerned, he had just crossed the line from foe to friend.
|
Archer shot the female a dirty look for poking him with a stick, but replied nonetheless. "For the reasons I just stated." |
The girl turned to him with a look of determination at getting the answer. "All I heard was your opinion of them; but what did they actually do to you?" |
His lips thinned; he didn't like talking about himself. Not many knew him for what he was, and he intended to keep it that way. |
Dusk smiled "Im glad i wont have to fight you... my brother has trained my brother and and I to control our dark energy and to fight" she said looking away from him "Pein and i were raised to be deadly weapons" she averted her gaze to the ground.
|
The unnamed girl stared at Archer for a moment. Then slowly asked him "Have I been picked up by the evil side of this war? If you want to commit such a problematic act..." |
Another shiver ran down his spine. After hearing that, he was very glad he wouldn't meet her on the battlefield. "Just because you were raised to be something, doesn't mean you have to be it. You always have a choice, you should do whatever you think is right." He looked up at the sky between tree branches and frowned. "I think I need to go back. I've been gone too long already." Feori gave Dusk a bright smile and a small wave. "I'm glad I met you." He didn't wait for a response, he turned on his heel and sprinted off towards his own encampment.
|
"Evil?" Archer snapped his head around sharply at her words. "'Evil' is but a matter of perspective. History is written by the victors, after all. And how is my goal in any way problematic?" He was suddenly riled by her words. "Evil is self-righteous bigots who thinks that anything not on par to their standards is dark, and should be put down. Evil is are those who do not accept anything that they consider abnormal. Evil is considering all those who haven't had a choice of their birthplace or parents to be deformed demons from hell, damned for eternity!" He hadn't noticed, but his voice had risen throughout his outburst. All those years of being shunned, spat upon, simply for being what he was...he was seething by the time he finished. |
The unnamed girl quickly moved forward to hug Archer. "If you kill them for not understanding, for not knowing, then they can never learn." |
Archer flinched at the sudden contact, but refocused on his rage to answer. "They'll learn. Right before I kill them.". ((Blagh, mind fart. XD |
The unnamed girl sighed. "But if you do that, then you'll become a monster. You're not one right now, and you don't seem to want to be one, so why are you going to do something that would make you a monster?" |
Dusk stood watching him sprint away, she stood up and walked back to the camp. As she walked in her brother looked at her.
"What where you doing out there for so long?" Agoni asked her slightly irritated. Pein stood silently. Dusk looked at them "I was just looking around... I dont want anything to do with this war Agoni... why cant we have a peace negotiation....." she pleaded. Agoni growled "Dusk there is nothing peaceful about these people..." Dusk snaped back quickly "Tell me Agoni What exactly are we fighting for! What are we fighting!" for she screamed at her older brother "Mother and father wouldnt have made as fight in a pointless war!" She yelled running out of the tent straight in to the woods, it was late at night by the time she reached the other side of the woods and stripped herself of any link to the ezaira army, she climbed up in to a tree and hid there using her dark energy to wrap the tree in rose vines to be well hidden from everyone. |
He shrugged, not seeing what was so bad about it, if it means that the centaurs would pay. "All for one and one for all. They made me what I became today, and I will pay it right back to them." |
The unnamed girl stepped back and took a deep breath. "Even if they did, you're the one who makes you what you are in the future." |
"Yes. And the Vanquisher of the Centaurs is exactly what I intend on becoming before this war is over." Archer responded, not really paying attention to the female anymore; they obviously aren't on the save wavelength and they probably never will. |
"Everything is fine" Agoni growled "you may enter..." he said brashly he slammed his fists on the table.
Pein stood silently saddened by his sister leaving. |
