Bored. Bored. Bored. So very bored It was.
Janus had been assigned on a mission with 'Archer' (whose real name the strange creature wouldn't tell It), to kill that lieutenant/colonel/whatever rank that guy was from the Avalia army. Personally, It didn't see what was so necessary about killing the idiot, since the swine was so busy pigging out in his tent and completely oblivious to the world outside, he'd probably no sooner die of a heart attack than getting anything useful done...but orders were orders, and follow It shall. It was way better than just simply staring at the enemy and then reporting back without doing anything...

It had been a breeze; Archer sniped all the guards outside the tent and kept watch while It walked right in, and sliced off the pig's head with a swipe of Its tail before the imbecile could so much as open his mouth to demand why It was there. The whole process had taken less than three minutes, and the two were out of there before anyone noticed.

The demon glanced over at Its silent companion. Archer had barely said anything during the entire trip, the only two sentences being, 'I'll kill the guards and keep watch. You go in there and get the human.' While It didn't like being ordered around much by someone who was of the same rank as It was, It had to admit that Archer was a good shooter, better than It was. But then, It never was one for bows and arrows...It much preferred just chucking giant watermelon-sized fireballs in the vague direction of the enemy. One of them will eventually hit the target.

The two made their way through the camp after waving to the outpost guards, heading towards the general's tent where they were to report their progress. Janus was carrying the head of their target as proof, as Archer hadn't seemed too keen on holding a bloody, half-burnt chunk of flesh.

When they arrived at the general's, they saw that someone else was there, so they stood by, waiting. The fire demon idly juggled the head around, earning Itself an eyeroll from the other assassin.

Janus twitched. It'd never figure out just how the general always seem to know that there's someone outside his tent. Were they that obvious?

Archer didn't seem to notice, or maybe he just didn't care. He pushed open the door and walked in, the fire demon trailing in after. They walked in just in time to hear the last sentence of the female standing before the general, and suddenly It understood the point of their mission.

"Ah, was that why we had to kill the pig?" It rasped, Its body not exactly well-made for speaking, "He had a lot of various sheets of papers with stuff on it in his tent." Janus plopped the head onto the desk in front of the general, while Archer took out several rolls of paper from a bag. The demon had been tempted to burn the tent down, but Archer had stopped him, saying that it would draw too much attention.

"Yes sir. We met little difficulty." Archer responded, laying out the papers for the general after making Janus move the head out of the way. "From what I glimpsed of the papers, most of them were designs of various weapons that they probably intend to make, and a few were of tactical positions in coming battles. It seemed that the human we assassinated was in charge of designing a good portion of the enemy's weaponry and tactical moves."

"Huh, the fat pig hardly looked it." The demon muttered. Looks can be quite deceiving, It supposed...

Janus grinned. "Thanks!" It eagerly grabbed the head and tucked it under Its arm. It would make a nice snack for It later. Archer, who probably knew what It was thinking, grimaced. As a half-centaur, he really didn't like the taste of blood and flesh in his mouth even if he didn't mind spilling it on the battlefield.

"Any orders for what to do next?" He asked, trying to take his mind off the mental image of a skeleton-like demon nomming on a bloody head, "Or will we be on standby for now?"
