(Hm... so where should we start this? maybe like Tomari is doing her last experiment and test on Sky and finds that she is indeed too unstable and chooses to keep experimenting on Erik while abandoning and shunning Sky completely... so pretty much Sky would be an outcast to them all... unless you want Erik to try and befriend Sky or just be snooty XD either way would be cool... what do you think we should do?)

"Miss Tomari?" Alyssa asked, half-panicked. "His breathing rate is - oh, oh." Her breathing rate increased as their newest experiment's did, jotting down notes from the low beeps of the monitors. When his heart rate picked up and the beeps began to come with shorter pauses, Alyssa set down the notebook and went over to one of the many cabinets in their laboratory, pulling out a needle and filling it with a liquid stabilizer. As she came back to the table and began to inject him with the needle, it slipped upon contact with the experiment's skin and hit the table instead.

' Huh. Maybe what we gave him earlier gave him a greater resistance,' she thought, her brain trying to come up with explanations. When she found one she liked, she nodded to herself and tried again, pressing a little harder this time, and then even harder when the skin simply refused the needle. As she pressed down with all her might, the needle's tip shattered, leaving a dripping light bluish substance coming out the broken end.

Sighing, she all but gave up until the experiment's heart rate increased again.

She grabbed a scalpel and, with the feeling that Tomari was watching her, attempted to cut a line down his arm and inject it into his veins that way instead, however, the skin wouldn't be cut by the sharp edge either, so she had to resort back to what they had in the cabinets.

She was a patient woman, but when the experiment's body refused another form of stabilizer - one that went through the mouth - she was running out of options. Of course there were the ones that were applicable by the ear and through the nose, but he'd already rejected every other form that they had tried, and she was letting the little things get to her. As she turned to head back towards the cabinet, the beeping slowed to a steady pace, and a clinking sound came from behind her. It - no, he had a name, she reminded herself - had woken.

Erik was terrified.

Not only was he in a really creepy science lab, but he was somewhat restrained by leather straps around his wrists and ankles - and then another around his torso that he noted could be moved up or down his chest - which made him scared for his life. He sat up and saw two strange women - one with faded brown hair and black wings that sprouted from her back in almost a graceful manner, and another with black hair, deep brown eyes, and full facial features that didn't seem to have anything different about her - who were both staring at him.

"So you've awoken," the black-haired one said, and his eyes immediately snapped to her face, then noticing how clear everything was around him. He looked up into the lighted ceiling and gasped - he could see all seven colors of the rainbow reflected back at him, with an eighth that he had no name for.

The black haired woman cleared her throat and muttered a few words under her breath that Erik's ears caught. 'Better hearing, too?' he wondered, looking down at his lap, puzzled. "My name is Alyssa Dean, apprentice to Tomari Shukketsu," the one who was speaking continued with a nod to the other woman, and Erik shifted so he could have a better look at them both. "Welcome to your new life."

The professor was in deep concentration on what she was doing and just sighed some as she heard her assistant and turned to walk over there and grab some of the medication that they were giving him and shoved it to his mouth though since it was liquid she couldn't quite force him to drink it right now. "Drink it or I swear I will put you in a crono-tank and you won't like it though I won't care." she ordered and waited for a response. She had no real patience for stuff like this and knew that the male would fear being in the tank... or at least he should. "When we get done taking care of this you need to come and help me with Sky... this is the last chance she's got and I want to try and get it right this time... otherwise I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her." Tamari said wanting to get this out of the way not thinking much that the other experiment would pull through this and still be one of her experiments... no, she was a failed subject for some reason....

Erik looked at the winged woman when she pushed a liquid into his face. He took the bottle of whatever the stuff was and took a long sip, then made a face once he tasted it. He put it as far away as he could from his face and then asked, "What is this?"

Erik took a pause to try to figure out where the sound had come from. When both women just seemed to stare at him, he realized that he hadn't been cut off, but was speaking himself. His voice was different from what he remembered - now, it had a slightly musical ring to it as if he were some sort of angel. Deciding to test his new voice further, he tried again: "What's a... crono-tank?"

Alyssa sighed. She understood slow progress, but the rate at which this boy was going was painfully slow. He should have noticed that he wasn't completely human by now, Alyssa thought, or at least noticed the wings. When Tomari requested her assistance, Alyssa nodded and proceeded to take the remaining straps around his other wrist, torso, and ankles off of the boy.

After five years of being an apprentice to Tomari and helping the other woman with her experiment on this boy, she was familiar with the soft curves of his face and body, so when he rose from the table, she didn't give it much thought. He was truly a beautiful creature. But I wouldn't be suprised if he's mentally slow. Tomari has been working on him for at least ninety-three years. Someone progressing this slow should have been discarded a while back, Alyssa thought.

"Another experiment? Is that what I am?" the male asked, catching Alyssa's attention. She frowned again at his slowness.

"Yes. And the crono-tank is something that you won't like. No need to go into further detail." She paused to unhook him from the various monitors. "There will be some clothes on the other side of the room around the washing showers. If you feel like wandering, do whatever you like, but don't touch anything or go behind the curtain over there. You won't be able to leave, so don't try an escape," she said in a clipped tone. She waited for Tomari's opinions or approval if she had one before stepping to her side, ready to follow her to their other experiment, Sky.

"If I put you in that tank, there's a chance that you won't be coming out... alive anyway." Tamari muttered before nodding to her assistant in approval before turning to leave the room into the other where Sky was laying flat on the bed strapped down and passed out. Of course Tamari had had much more testing with Sky then the other boy and knew that if this last test didn't work... she would disgard the experiment completely... though she wasn't sure what she would do with the girl after that.... maybe just let her wander... or just destroy her... she wasn't sure yet. "This is the last one... I'm hoping to get this right and if not... we need to find something to do with this weakling." she muttered to Alyssa as she glanced at the girl and nodded to start the experiment that she knew would hurt the girl... though it was her last shot.
