Andaria frowned a little when she thought she felt something tugging at her from the planet. No, nothing had called her like that for... Longer than she could remember.

Shaking her head, she turned back to her work. No, she was wrong. She hadn't felt anything. And she was needed here. Shifting her pink-rose wings, she tied her dark red hair back with a strip of cloth before she went back to watching the young angels all playing around and below her. They needed her attention now.

Canna shook his head as he stretched out a little, shifting his grip on his glass. Dark amber whiskey shifted, clinking the ice cubes against the glass. He shook his shaggy, slightly curled brown hair out of his face, green eyes scanning his bedroom. He shared the house with his brother, not that he minded. They'd grown up there, and they both loved the house. Besides, they had a bit of privacy, too.

Yawning briefly, he glanced at his laptop before he shut it. Nothing else to do with it, no work that needed to be done, no emails that needed to be checked. All was going well. Now if he could just forget about that ungrateful woman who had used him and left him... He downed the rest of the whiskey and shook the thought from his head. He could sulk later. Now he was going to take a shower.

Zarina sighed as she walked slowly down the streets wih nothig but a dress like shirt. Her back still burned from the pain of having her wings ripped off even though it had happened so Long ago. She had fallen to be with humans but she now knew that they where evil creatures. None even stopped to help her, they only saw a poor girl with nothing. She was nothing to them so why should she stay.

She soon found a ally way and sat down there. She wrapped her arms around her knees and shivered slightly as a gust of wind blew. "please come, I know I have done wrong but please I want to change." she whispered and hoped one of he angels would hear. She wanted to go back to where she had been and be happy. But she knew happiness was only in stories and never on real life.

Sam sighed as he came back inside there house after going to his art studio and painting. It had been his dream job but it was hard after everythig that had been going on in his life. He and his brother never really had it easy and he only wished it could be. Life just never seemed to want to give them any joy in life. When they found that joy something would happen and that joy would dissappear, that was what happened to him and his brother. They both lost people they thought they loved

He ran a hand threw his light brown hair and looked around to find his brother. But when he heard the soundof the shower he could guess where he was. So he headed over to he couch and sat down. He flipped on the tv and his green eyes watched the pictures that flashed across the screen. Tv never really interested him but it gave him ideas of what to paint next.

Andaria paused when she felt the pulling again. She shook her head, trying to rid herself of the feeling, but she couldn't. She just couldn't. That meant that someone was actually trying to contact her, or some angel. Maybe not her in particular, but some angel.

She stood, watching the young angels play, indecisive. She could go and investigate, or she could stay with the children, let one of the other angels take care of it. She hadn't done any field work in ages. Not since Eve had been tempted from the garden.

A few moments later she sighed. Her conscious wouldn't let her just ignore the cry for help. Of course not. Well, she needed a little time, anyway. She'd need to find someone to take over for her; she couldn't just leave the young ones. She'd never do that. With that thought in mind, she started casting her thoughts among the other angels around her, waiting for someone to respond.

Canna let the water get hot before he got in, starting to wash himself off. He sang quietly to himself, a little off tune, keeping the volume down so he wouldn't disturb his brother. He knew Sam was downstairs. He always could find his little brother.

A little smile lifted the corners of his lips. His little brother. The only family he had left, the only person he couldn't get rid of and didn't want to get rid of. Even if he was a pain in the ass sometimes. Shaking his head, rather like a dog, and getting the water out of his eyes.

Then something strange happened. He thought he could hear someone talking. But no, he had to be hearing things. Maybe he could just hear the TV. He rinsed off again quickly before getting out of the shower and drying off.

Zarina leaned against the wall and shivered again as another gust of wind hit her. Then she felt a drop of rain it her and soon it was pouring out. She shivered in her dress shirt and just sat there. She pulled the long shirt over her knees to try and keep herself warm but it was no use. She just sat there and let the water pound on her like it did every time it rained, she never had a roof to
protect her.

"please, someone just help me." she whispered and then felt he tears. The tears that came every time she was alone in this world of chaos. The tears that told she was in pain and that no one cared about. They where nothing to everyone put there on earth but to her they where something. They where all the emotions she had experianced while down here and none of them where good.

She then rested her head against her knees and closed her eyes. Apart of her wished for death to come. She was too skinny to be healthy and knew that she was starving. This was the price for falling and she only wished she could go back down. This was the biggest mistake of her life.

Sam sighed as he watched tv and thought he heard mumbling but thought it was only the tv. So he wasn't to bothered by it and just went back to watching the movie that was on. It was about a angel or something and he couldn't help but study the angel. She looked beautiful and amazing, he wanted to draw her.

He fished out a notebook and pencil then started to scketch. He drew the face as detailed as he could and everything else just as good. He went I to his own little world as he drew and heard nothing. The rythem of the rain pounding in the roof was soothing and helped him concentrate on his work. He wanted this angel to be the picture of perfection.

It took Andaria a little while to find a replacement for her, an angel named Samael. He grumped at her for a few minutes and, when that didn't disuade her, he took over for her. Andaria kissed his cheek before she vanished, going down to the human plane.

It took her a moment to orient herself down there. She was somewhere outside of town, away from the humans. She put a sight shield over her wings, so no human would be able to see them, and stood still. That cry for help reverberated in her mind, and she tried to find the source of it, so she could help the person in need.

Canna finished his shower and dressed again, pulling on sweatpants and a loose t-shirt before he pulled on a pair of slippers. A late-night snack sounded good to him. Like pizza. Or a hamburger. Or something.

Thumping down the stairs, he glanced over at Sam. "Hey, I'm gonna go on a food run. Do you have any requests?" He got his wallet and his keys out of the kitchen drawer he normally kept them in, glancing over at Sam again. Sam usually didn't have a rquest, but hey, maybe tonight would be different. Maybe he'd ask for something instead of Canna shoving extra food at him. Starving artists, and all.

Zarina closed her eyes and wondered if anyone had heard her. She didn't really care who did she just wanted to know that she would get some help. She was cold, tired and hungery. She had heard this was what being poor in the human world was like and wondred if it could get any worse.

"please anyone, just help me." she whisperes softly but no human that passed by seemed to hear or see her. She was just part of the scenery here. She was the thing that no one wanted and she didn't blame them. She had abandond the angel world for this and now this was her punishment. She was going to die from starvation for doing that.

Sam looked at his brother and thought for a second, "nothing I can think of but take a umbrella with you. It is raining outside and I dont feel like taking care of you if you get sick." he said as he smiled at his brother and then went back to his draving. He then thoguth for a second on what he might want to get and looked at his brother again.

"but maybe you could get me some jerky, I have been craving that all day." he said and really did want that. He didn't ask for much since he never really wanted much of anything. "that is all I want right now so I will be happy with that." he said as he smiled at his brother.

Andaria kept looking around before she started walking, heading in the direction of the calls. It would take her a little while to get there, but then she could help whoever it was. Hopefully. Some people were beyong help, but not many.

She focused on that voice, trying to figure out who it was. The voice tickled something in the back of her mind; she knew she should recognize it, she knew it was familiar, she just couldn't figure out why or who it was. And that was making her even more curious, which made her walk faster towards the source. It would be faster to fly, but she didn't want to startle the humans, and besides, this would give her a chance to look at the world.

Canna nodded. "Sure thing," he said, grabbing an umbrella from the closet and shaking it out. "I'll be back in a few." Although Sam would probably get caught up in his work and not even notice the time. Typical of his brother.

He jogged to his car and got in quickly, shaking his head to get the little bit of rain out of it. Starting to drive, he headed into town and went to a mini-mart, picking up what he wanted and getting the jerky for Sam.

On his way out he paused, seeing a young woman sitting on the curb nearby. He put his things in his car before walking over to the woman, holding his umbrella over both of them. "Hey, you okay? You need to call someone?" he asked, looking down at her. She looked thin.

Zarina was just about ready to give up on help and let the darkness of death take her. But as she was about to close her eyes and cll it quiet the rain seemed to dissappear. Slowly she opened her half closed eyes and saw a young man looking down at her with concern in his eyes. She could only smiled weakly at him as she heard te questions.

"I have no one to call and no place to call home. So I am deffinately not okay." she said softly and wondered what he was going to do. He was probably just going to leave her here like all the others. But at least he had seen her, he had seen the girl that no one had cared for and that might mean something. She hoped it did, she hoped that it meant there was hope for her.

Her light blond hair was soaked and stuck to her face. It was so light that it almost seemed like it was white. Her skin was pale tothe point that you would think she was the undead. The rain had soaked ehr shirt enough that it clung to her skin so that you could see the ribs that clearly stuck out. She was the picture of death it seemed.

sam had hardly heard his brother when he left and had gone back to his drawing. He hear nothing or saw nothing. HIs picture was teh only thing that mattered at the moment. He had to finish it and maybe paint it later on. Maybe he could sell it and get some money for it.

The angel looked real, as if it was going to fly right off the page and into the house. He ahd a talent for this and hopped that the world would be able to see what he could do. he wanted to show them his painting and hoped that the world would love them.

Canna frowned at her words and her appearance. She really was in bad shape. She needed somewhere to go in a storm like this, else she'd catch cold, and the way she looked she'd probably die from it.

"I have an extra room in my house," he offered suddenly. "So you can take a shower and get some food, at least. Get some sleep. No one should be out in this storm." He hesitated for a moment before he held out a hand to her. Hopefully she wouldn't think he was some kind of psycho.

Andaria frowned when the call paused, and she couldn't hear it anymore. Luckily she had a mental lock on that voice, that mind, and she kept track of it, heading towards the voice. She was still on the outskirts of the city, but she would get there soon enough.

Zarina just stared at him more a little while and was surprised by the hand that he held out to her. But she wasn't going to turn down any kind of kindness now, she was desperate right now. So gently she reached out and took his hand as she got to her feet. Her legs shook as she stood and for a second she was very dizzy. But soon it left but with it all the strength she had.

She fell against him and shook weakly. "sorry, I just feel very weak." she said softly and you could hear in her voice that she was. She had nothing to eat in days and even when she had it had only been a piece of bread. But now she was running on nothing and was too thin for her own good.

Canna frowned as she fell against him. She obviously couldn't stand on her own. He looped his free arm around her waist, holding the umbrella over them. "Okay, it's okay. We'll get you back to my place, okay? Then you can get something to eat, some bread maybe."

He helped her into his car and settled her in the passenger seat before jogging over to the driver's side and getting in. He didn't know much about people who hadn't eaten for a while, but he did know that you had to take things slowly with them so they didn't get even more sick. He thought they had bread. He knew they had crackers, and soup. Soup should be good, right?

Shaking his head a little, he started driving back home, glancing over at his passenger and getting more worried. She was so thin... maybe he should just take her to a hospital. But he'd stop at home first, at least.

Zarina leaned against him heavily as he looped his free arm around her. She smiled at the thought of being someplace nice and warm with some food. The thought of food made her stomach hurt with want and she hoped that they got there soon. When she got into the car with his help it felt nice and she couldnt' help but look around at everything. This was the first time she had been in a car.

"where is your house? and why are you being so nice to me?" she asked softly as she leaned back agains the seat and enjoyed the ride. She wanted to know exactly what kind of guy was doing this for her and whre he lived. "by the way I am Zarina, who are you?" she asked as she looked at him and found herself wanting to fall asleep.

The soothing feel of the car was slowly making her tired and she had to force herself to stay awake. She wasn't to sure if she shoudl sleep since if she did she was pretty sure that if she did she would probably never wake up.

"I'm Canna. Nice to meet you." He glanced over at her with a quick smile as he drove. Normally he would be about five miles above the speed limit, but he went a little faster than that today. He had the feeling she needed food, and soon.

"Well, I like helping people, especially people who realy need help," he replied quietly to her first question. "It makes me feel better." He shrugged before turning down the road that led to his house, and he pulled into the driveway. "Okay, we're here."

He got out quickly and pulled out the umbrella, holding it over their heads as he went around to get her out of the car. Hopefully Sam wouldn't flip out too much.

Zarina smiled when she heard him and nodded, "it is good to met you too." she said as she forced herself to keep her eyes open. She looked around weakly and could tell he was driving pretty fast from the monitor thing in the car. She wasn't to sure what it was called but it told how fast he was going.

"that is nice, your the only guy I know who would help me. And it doens't just make you feel good but others. For example I feel good about knowing you can help me." she said softly and then felt the car stop. She frowned slightly but guessed that this was where he lived. She watched him leave and fear filled her slightly that he wasn't going to coem back. But then he opened her door and she smiled some.

Slowly she reached out and grabbed onto him and pulled herself to her feet slowly. Her legs shook mor ehten usual and she leaned against him more. "I am not to sure if I can walk." she said softly since she felt so weak and felt like she was going to pass out soon.

Sam heard someone come into the drive way and guessed that his brother was back. So he just went back to his drawing and was soon completely done with that. He smiled as he looked at it and was glad that it looked good. He then was surprised his brother wasn't inside and set down everything.

He walked over to the window and looked outside. He then just stared as he looked at his brother and some girl. He had brought a girl home instead of food. He wondered what made his brother bring home a girl. But as he looked at her he could tell that she looked horrible, she needed help.

"Okay, that's okay," Canna said quietly, slipping his arm around her again. "Just lean on me, okay? I'll get you inside." He walked slowly, helping her inside and half-carrying her until they got inside.

"Sam, there's some bags in the back of the car. Can you grab them for me?" Canna held out the umbrella to his brother and helped Zarina over to the kitchen, where he set her in a chair carefully. She was still wet, dripping all over the tile. He didn't care, but that had to be cold.

"Do you think you can shower? Or take a bath maybe? You really need to warm up." Canna frowned as he looked her over. He was worried that she'd end up getting sick from being outside and malnourishment.

Zarina leaned against him more as he took her inside and saw someone else. He looked like canna but his hair was different and just ebout everything else. She watched him run out of there and grabbed the umbrella from canna before she was brought to the kitchen.

"I think I can stand for a shower." she said softly and looked at him. He looked really worried about her and she wondered if she looked that bad. She must of to make him worry so much. "do you have any food I can eat?" she asked softly and hoped he did. She was starving right now and would eat just about anything.

Sam looked at the girl as his brother brought her on. He then nodded and grabbed the umbrella from him before running into the rain. He could see why his brother had picked the girl up now, she looked like a corpse and he wondered of she was even going to be able to live for five more minutes. He quickly grabbed he bags and headed inside.

He set he umbrella down by the door and brouhaha the food into the kitchen. He then looked at the girl and smiled at her kindly when he heard her question. He dug into a bag and pulled out the beef jerky he had asked for and handed it to her. He watched her eat it slowly but could tell she was happy.

"Yeah, I'll warm up some soup for you." Canna left her on the chair as he found some chicken soup and started heating it up for her. He watched her eat the jerky carefully, making sure she wasn't about to throw up or anything.

As soon as the microwave went off, he put the soup in front of her. "Here. Eat as much as you want of that, and then you can take a shower. You need to get warmed up."

Frowning just a little, he looked at her. Her clothes would need to be washed, and he was a lot taller than she was, so his clothes wouldn't fit her. "Hey Sam, do you have an extra pair of sweatpants and a shirt that she can use for a bit while I get her clothes washed?"

Zarina ate the jerky and was just about done when he put the soup infront of her. She smiled and then looked at canna, "thank you." she said and then started to eat the soup. It tasted great and she was lovig it. After a few minutes it was gone and she yawned slightly.

"so whereis the shower?" she asked as she looked at the two and looked better now that she had food in her. She looked less pale and when you saw her light blue eyes you could see the spark in them. She was alive and well now, no sign of death was left on her now. She looked like she was on her Way to recovery.

Sam nodded and then dissappeared down the hall. After a few second he came back with a pair of sweatpants and a shirt. "here i think these will fit her." he said and hen smiled at the girl. She looked better now that she had eaten some food.

Canna smiled, glad to see that she was looking better already. "The shower's upstairs next to the guest room. I'll help you."

Leaving the dishes in the sink to do later, he went over and helped her out of her chair, taking the stairs slowly so she wouldn't get too tired. He went into the bathroom and made sure there were a couple towels in there, along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a razor for her. "Alright, looks like you'll be all set. Twisting the dial to the left gives you hot water. Yell if you need anything." He set the extra clothes from Sam on the counter for her.

Andaria's eyes narrowed a little as she looked at the house before her. It was a human dwelling, and she could tell there were two people inside, along with the person who had been crying for help. Now that she was close, though, she could tell the cry hadn't come from a human.

There were a limited number of options for what it must be, then. But she decided to stick around and wait, and watch. She pulled a sight shield around herself, so the humans couldn't see her, and sat on a tree branch to wait, the rain never quite touching her.

Zarina smiled at Canna when he helped her and leaned against him as he lead her out of there. She slowly mounted the steps and hoped she coudl walk on her own soon. Once she got to the bathroom she looked around and smiled when she heard Canna. She then looked at him and for the first time thought he looked kind of cute. But she guessed that it was just how tired she was.

"thank you, I think I can handle myself in here." she said and then waited till he left the room. She then slowly stripped her shirt off of herself and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked horrible but hopefully she would be okay after a few days of being here.. that is if they would let her stay. She then headed into the shower and smiled as she felt hte water hit her. It was the first time that warm water had hit her in many days. She was loving it more and more each and every second.

After a few minutes she was done with her shower and slowly climbed out. She ahd to be careful since her legs where still weak and she wrapped herself in a towel. She dried her hair and smiled as it seemed to glow white when the light hit it. It reminded her of what she use to be and hse sighed slightly. She then slowly slid on the sweat pants and shirt before slowly making her way downstairs. She clung to the wall with each step down but smiled once she got to the bottom. "canna? where are you?" she asked as she looked around.

Sam looked at his brother once he came back down, "good idea bringing her here, she looks like she needs it." he said and then smiled at his brother. He knew that if he had seen that girl eh probably would of done the same and got her here as fast as possible.

"but what are we doing to do now that we have her here? She looks like she is homeless and I doubt she had no family. Do you want to keep her here?" he asked as he looked at him and wondered what he wanted to do.

Canna sighed quietly and ran a hand through his hair, leaning back against the wall. Sam had a point; he doubted Zarina had any family. "Well, we can keep her here for a few days, at least," he said after a moment. "Maybe there's somewhere else she'll want to go. Maybe. Or, if not, I guess she can stay here."

Having a woman here would upset things, but it would be for the best, he hoped. She'd hopefully get better, healthier, soon. He hoped so.

He heard a faint question from her and frowned a little. "Hold that thought." He jogged over to her. "I'm right here. Do you feel better?" She looked better, cleaner, with a little color to her now. He liked that. A couple more meals and maybe she'd even gain some weight.

Sam sighed when he heard him and nodded, "I think that out of anything she should stay. It will be odd for her to be here but it looks like she need someone to take care of her for a little while." he said before he watched Canna go. He knew that the girl would change things around here but she needed help.

He headed back to the living room and sat down again. He pulled his sketch pad up and smiled when he saw hte angel on the page. He just had to change it a little bit more and it would be perfect. So he pulle dout his pencil and went to work on his art.

Zarina smiled when she saw Canna and nodded, "I feel alot better now, thanks to you." she said as she looked at him. She then slowly made her way over to him as she stayed close to the wall. She was really greatfull to him and didn't know what she could do to repay him for this.

"there must be some way I can repay you for this." she said as she looked at him and hoped that there was. She would do anything since they had helped her and gave her a roof for over her head. SHe wans't sure how long she was able to stay here but hoped that she could stay here for a little while.

"It's fine, you don't need to worry about that," Canna said with a little smile. "I'm just happy to help." Not to mention she didn't look like she could do just about anything right now.

"So, do you want to get some sleep or get something else to snack on? Or maybe just sit and watch TV for a while?" Now that she was here, Canna didn't really know what to do with her. Hopefully she'd be able to take care of herself, at least somewhat, soon. Right now she looked about ready to topple over.

Andaria watched the younger brother for a little while, watching him draw. He had an uncanny ability to capture the essense of people, making them come alive off the page.

She shifted her position on her branch a little to get a better look at his drawing and a little zing went through him. That girl... that girl on the page looked like her. A lot like her. That was... intriguing.

Zarina smiled at him but knew she would find a way to repay him later on. Right now she was in no condition to do anything physical. She then nodded, "okay but I will repay you later." she said as she smiled at him and it seemed to make her glow.

"I think I could eat a little more if you don't mind, then I am sure I will need to sleep." she said and found her stomach rummbling loudly. She blushed slightly, that was so emmbarissing but she knew it couldn't be helped so she just smiled, "looks like my stomach agrees about the food thing." she said and couldn't wait to earsome more.

Sam concentrated on the face of the girl and worked on her eyes. He wanted them to lookmas real as possible. Once he was done with that one he moved onto the next. After a few minutes he was done and his angel was complete. He smiled as he looked at it and then signed his name on the bottom.

"next I get to paint you." he said as he smiled at his drawing. "but first inhabe to map your color." he said and pulled out some colored pencils. He colored it in and made sure that it looked at realistic as possible. The wings where a light white color mixed with a cream so you could see them. He then colored the dress that he had drawn blue and worked on the face again.
