Name: Ren
Age: Roughly around 300 years old, but looks around 18 or 19
Bio: Ren was born and raised in a practically empty town rumoured to be filled with night-prowling vampires. One dark night while taking a walk many decades ago, Ren came across a very shady creature that didn't look like a typical vampire at all. He wasn't scared however and fought with it as it refused to move out of his way. The creature got tired of that and said something very strange before disappearing into thin air. The words still lingered in Ren's mind. "You... You are no longer human." So now Ren wanders throughout the world in his new form...

((Okay. No problem. Can't be helped... :P))

It was one of those dark and endless raining nights and Ren was bored with nothing to do and no one to feast on. Not that he was hungry or anything. He could go for hours at a time without anything to sip on even when he had horrible cravings for something. One night it might be animal blood, another might be human and sometimes mixed as they all had different flavours.
At this moment, Ren was just laying in a tree to shade himself from the sheets of rain falling down around him, sighing as he watched. It really wasn't very amusing, but sometimes one had to take what they could for entertainment no matter what it may be.

Lexi walked down the dark streets. She didn't have an umbrella, but the rain didn't really bother her. The outfit she was wearing was specially designed to repel water and keep her weapons hidden. Wouldn't want the vampires to know she was after them, after all. Her eyes stayed peeled for any sign of life. So far, the only things she has seen were animals. And those weren't exactly what she was looking for. She needed to find a bloodsucking vampire.

Ren was still in the tree and despite being far away from any city streets, he could feel something. Someone actually. Someone walking alone with no one else around... Could be his chance to actually feed on something after hours of waiting, without a care who this person was or what gender. Even if it meant sacrificing his spot in the tree and running toward the presence in the cold rain before swiftly hiding behind a building. A helpful tactic passed down to avoid being seen. Somehow in his mind, though, Ren figured it was a bad idea. Instinct probably. An odd feeling that told him this person was no ordinary human. Not many people around the area would walk around at night, afraid of what lurked. Him usually, but there were others as well besides him. But this feeling... It felt somewhat odd. Stronger maybe... He couldn't pinpoint it.

Lexi eventually stepped off the main road. It was obvious that the vampires weren't going to be there. Not many people are even out when its raining. So why is this so hard! All she wants to do is kill one stinking vampire so that she could go home. But that apparantly wasn't going to happen anytime soon. After a while, she came across a boy up in a tree. He didn't look much older than herself, but she could tell that something was off about this guy. "Hey.. Why are you out in the rain?" she called up to him.

Ren went back to lounging in the tree, clearing whatever suspicions he had about the mysterious person as he closed his eyes for a brief moment. After awhile her aura appeared to have gotten stronger, not that he cared as he moved no inches as he continued lay there, now looking up at the top of the tree as far as he could. It was a good leafy tree and so far it was working to keep him dry even though his clothes were also water resistant. "What do you care?" He responded back down to her quite rudely.

'Because its raining and its wet out here. Besides. You could get sick." Lexi stated. Not that she really cared. It didn't concern her if some boy was stupid enough to stay out in the rain. Though it would probably be smart for her to get out of the rain herself. Which she will do, once she finds a stupid bloodsucker. This seriously shouldn't be this hard. She's done it before with no trouble at all.

"For your information, rain showers like these happen quite frequently here. I'm sure you've noticed that. Unless of course you've been confined from the outside world. Then again..." Ren placed his index finger on his chin, slightly curved in thought. "I've never seen you before..." He paused as he looked her over from the branch he was on. He had quite good vision despite being in the center of the tallest tree in the forest. "In any case, I've been in every single rainstorm they've had here and not once have I gotten ill."[/B] He smirked knowing why that was. His own little secret. Not that he dared reveal it yet. Not till he had a chance to learn this girl's intentions. "You on the other hand. I can only imagine how ill you'll be by tomorrow if you stay out here. This storm's one of the worse ones this city's had in years. You'd better head on home little girl before that happens. Though you probably knew that already." He had that smug tone to his voice as he spoke down to her.

Lexi remained quiet while the boy was speaking. This guy had to be an idiot if he wanted to stay out here in the rain. "I will head home. But not just yet. I'm looking for someone and can't return until I've found them." she stated. With a sigh, she looked around. Why couldn't see find it! Maybe she just needed more training in how to identify a vampire. That would probably way more helpful than just walking around in the rain. She was already freezing and just wanted to warm up by the fire at home.

"Finding someone?" It sounded more like a statement the way he asked the question. "Who could you be trying to find in this weather. Chances are whomever you're looking for is at home. You know? Dry place. Where you should be." Now it sounded more sarcasm than anything else! "Maybe if you look there you'll find them, whomever they are." Ren continued to just lay there, now seemingly deep in thought as he watched the clouds move in the distance. His face was in the shadows by now so no one would notice his almost ghostly piercing blue eyes. Some people had them, but not as intense as his. Wouldn't go unseen and therefore might apply as a detection for her.

Lexi glared at the boy. She didn't like guys that were telling her what to do. "No. The person I'm looking for isn't at home. Chances are, he doesn't have a home." she snapped. She was getting a really bad feeling about this guy. Her gut was telling her that this was one of them, the vampires. She just needed him to come down here so that she could prove it. Then she could kill him and go home and get dry.

"Well. Good luck in your search for this person. Hope you find him." Ren was talking to her as if she was a hopeless romantic looking for anyone to love her. Though, he knew why she was really there. Figured it out. It didn't really bother him as he stood up from the tree branch and leaned on the trunk of the tree for a bit. "Meanwhile, I should head home. It's getting late." He hopped down from the tree and started to walk away toward the city, hood up to repel the rain since he had no umbrella. It was dark enough by that time that nothing could be seen clearly. Including dark clothes.

Lexi continued to glare at him as the boy jumped down and started walking off. Sure, she was glad he was leaving. But her gut was telling her to not let him out of her sight. So, she started after him silently, ready to attack at a moment's notice. If this guy was a vampire, he wasn't going to get away from her. She couldn't fail. She wouldn't allow herself to fail. Sure, her father would understand and just give her more lessons. But she didn't want to deal with that.

Ren continued to walk not caring who followed him. He was used to it since everyone did. They'd also stare at him during the day whenever he was out. It wasn't very often though as the sun hurt his eyes during those bright days. He preferred cloudy days and during dusk hours.
He took a quick peek behind him and smirked then continued to look straight ahead before she noticed he'd done that. It always seemed like any blondes he came across were the overly curious ones about who he was. Whether they wanted to be friends, which he never wanted, or they were just curious for no reason... This girl however. She seemed to have something else on her mind... He could tell.

Lexi didn't miss the fact that the boy looked behind him towards her. She never misses anything. Especially when it had to do with following someone. She was going to find out who this guy was. One way or another. Unless, of course, she ran across a vampire. That would end her search so that she could kill it and get out of the rain. She was freezing, but wasn't going to give up. She wouldn't allow herself. Plus, her brothers would mock her if she comes back without killing at least one bloodsucker. And that was the last thing she wanted.

Ren kept walking in one direction at a steady pace. The city was mainly empty so that was helpful. No one would see him walking around. Then again with the hood up he was pretty safe anyway. Even if people were to stare at him. Not many stayed out that late unless they were working the graveyard shift.
After a while of walking he turned a corner and proceeded down a dark alley ending up on another street. He nearly passed by a familiar house, looking at it for a brief moment then kept walking, hoping she'd stop following him. Having others he didn't know follow him was one thing. Having a suspicious girl following him was another story.

Lexi continued following him. It didn't matter where he went, or how long he walked, she was going to get to the bottom of this. Though her eyes would occasionally glance around to see if there was a vampire nearby. So far, nothing. Maybe bloodsuckers didn't like the rain. If that's true, then she was going to have to kill her father for sending her out in the storm.
Finally, when she was just about to actually give up and go home, she spotted one. She snuck up behind him, which was hard to do with all the puddles, and staked him. Pleased with herself, she turned and headed home.

The vampire she got wasn't a friend, luckily. He had no friends. Even those who'd helped him get to where he was now wasn't considered a friend. They were helpful, but not the most friendly creatures. Probably where he got it from.
Once he was sure the girl was gone out of sight he backtracked and stood in front of the familiar house before entering. It was slightly run down with a thin layer of insulation with peeling purple paint. It would be a hard time selling the place without serious renovations. To him, though, it was home despite it falling apart and becoming a danger zone. His last home since his "death" actually.

Lexi complained to her father about sending her out in the rain once she got home. And about how it took forever to find anybody, let alone a vampire. He apologized and she went and changed into her pjs. Then she went and sat in front of the fire. At least until she was dry and her brothers started teasing her. She glared at them before going to her room and going to bed. She was exhausted; this had been a long night.

Ren wasn't tired, but knew he'd have to be in bed by the time the sun rose. For the time being after removing his drenched clothes and changed into something more comfortable, he made himself some coffee and continued reading the book he'd started earlier before heading out into that storm. It was one of those days he had nothing else to do. Not even work as someone took over that day for him like he requested. Whenever it was going to rain he'd always request that day off. He loved to watch the rain fall from the tree he was on, but that wasn't his reason. He'd told his boss the rain made him ill after he got drenched. Kind of flu-like and the boss, being slightly naive believed him. So there Ren was, drinking coffee and reading while smirking at his always working plan.

It didn't take long for Lexi to fall asleep. She slept for a few hours before waking up when the sun shone into her face from the window. Sighing, she rolled out of bed and make herself some eggs while her father was making coffee. Once that was done, she poured herself some, though her father didn't like that she drank it. She ate her breakfast in silence. After she was done, she complained to her father about being sent out in the rain. He didn't explain, just sent her off in training to get stronger for hunting.

Ren was pretty much in bed by the time she was up. He was usually tired by that time anyway. It was a habit for him ever since that almost frightening night long ago. So many years had passed by since then that he forgot when exactly it had happened. Sometimes the thought kept him up, but after his weird night before all he could think about was that girl and whatever motives she had. Also as to what she could have against someone like him. She probably didn't know, but was awfully close to figuring it out. Maybe... Still didn't bother him as he was swift and clever enough to get away from things like those. Somehow, though this situation was different. She was different... Determined? He didn't know... He was having trouble thinking clearly and on topic as the sun began to rise.
