---------- In the late hours of the night, all should be sleeping. However, in Ventus’ household, all but one of the household’s member were asleep. The only female of the house, Nicole, was rather busy climbing out the window so she could leave home. She was sick and tired of being treated like some fragile little maiden. Sure, she was a maiden… but she was taller than both her brothers and almost her father! She also was got trained by her brothers in fighting and she beat them plenty of times! … She knew Sora at least didn’t hold back. She wasn’t sure about Roxas, her younger brother. He was a pretty good knight… Taking one of the horses that she knew her father wouldn’t notice missing right away, Nicole left her home and rode through the night to the nearest town of Traverse Town. From there, she planned to go into neutral territory and go into Twilight Town. Hopefully she’d be ok to stay there for a bit, or maybe even permanently. If not, she’d really have no choice but to move into Oblivion, who her own kingdom, Oathkeeper, was on very bad terms with. The idea was a bit frightening, but also exciting. She knew she’d be ok though. She didn’t look like no fair maiden, and more like her tomboy self, her brown hair pulled back into a pony tail and she wore a dark blue shirt and black pants. And boots. Gotta love the boots. She had some money that she took from home and also one of the many swords the house had. She rather hoped they wouldn’t miss the blue tinted sword. She always really admired it, and it had a special magical perk of making you being able to jump really well! Always useful. She also took her bow, being a very good archer. She needed to remember to learn the spell for being able to make your weapon appear and disappear at will still… she’d make sure to get right on that. King Xemnas, ruler of Oblivion, left his study to go to the meeting being held in his throne room. There was much to discuss with the members of his court and his personal little army. For a long time now, Xemnas had been rather vague on his intentions… but he decided now would be the time to voice them to his trusty followers. The very tall and tan male entered the throne room, smirking to himself when the room went silent, like it always did, before he took his place at his throne, looking at each of his members with penetrating golden eyes. “… before this meeting begins… is there anything that needs to be brought to my attention now?” He asked, his deep voice echoing off the walls of the room. He sincerely hoped the answer was no, because he wanted to start talking NOW. The head knight, Lexaeus and resident wizard, Zexion, both had nothing to say. Everything was normal, security wise and magically wise. The large knight sat up straight in his chair, his axe sword resting against his humongous chair. He was intent on listening to Xemnas full heartedly. Zexion still slouched a little, busy looking at his spell book, the Lexicon. He could really care less about what was going on, already knowing the majority of it because of his discussions with Xemnas. He knew Xemnas was going to make him report to everyone and make Lexaeus as well. Both of them were not the talkative sort however. His eyes raised from his book and drifted across the table, checking to see if everyone was there. Marluxia, Sephiroth, Cloud, Leon, Xaldin, and Saix. Of course, Saix was sitting next to his father. He had no doubt that he was loathing every minute of this. It was rather late right now and Saix really was not to be awake during the night… |
Roxas yawned lightly and blinked a few times as he headed back to his room. He had just gotten off of Guard Duty at the castle and he wondered briefly why he agreed to stay so late? He shrugged lightly and just hoped that he'd be able to make it to his room before he collapsed from exhaustion. It didn't help that he had woken early last morning... 'Stupid sleeping habits...' he thought, rubbing his eyes lightly to get some of the sleepiness out of them.
He paused though right outside his room... Something wasn't right. The atmosphere felt different somehow.. He bit his lip lightly, wondering if he should maybe go investigate to see what it was that was bothering him... He was so tired though that it was hard for him to keep his eyes open. He figured that whatever it was, he could figure it out in the morning. After all, he normally was the first one awake in the household, no matter how late he went to sleep. So he yawned once more before entering his room and falling onto his bed, not even bothering to change. Saix tapped his fingers impatiently for his 'father' to come into the throne room. Who in their right mind would hold a meeting at 3 o'clock in the morning?! It was absolutely ridiculous! And why did he have to be here? He could honestly care less what it is that Xemnas has planned for this Kingdom. After all, he had little to do with what goes on around here. He just about got up to leave when Xemnas came into the throne room. He mentally sighed and settled back against his seat. It looked like leaving now wasn't going to be possible, seeing as how no-one wants to deal with an angry King. Mostly everybody was barely staying awake... Every except Marluxia. The pinkette had just gotten done with dealing with his latest victim and he couldn't have been more awake. He flipped a strand of his hair out of his eyes as a small smile formed on his face. All others were at least trying to appear to be awake. If they don't pay attention to what their ruler says, than they will either be tortured or killed. The room remained quiet. Nothing needs to be brought to attention.. At least, not right this moment. |
It took quite a long time before Nicole reached Traverse Town, a bustling town with one of the countries best doctors and blacksmiths. The sun was beginning to rise when she rode into the town and once at a stable there, she put the horse she had taken from home there and went to go find an inn. She'd stay in town for a day, just so she could rest up and contuine into neutral terriorty the next night. Once there, she hoped to just start her new life there. I mean, sure, they're might be a small search of her, but Ventus would surely leave her alone in the end.
"Good then. I called this meeting at this time because it was extremely important and I didn't want to forget." Xemnas would admit, he sometimes had a bad memory. "I would also like to get these new plans under way as soon as possible, so the sooner the better."Xemnas leaned back in his chair a bit, but not noticeably so. "Namine, the maid or "witch" as some of you call her, who somehow has the ability to pretty much spy on Oathkeeper, told a prophecy today and it rather interests me." |
