"Of course I'm sure!!! I'm not going to let something as stupid as a Kracken kill me!!"
Flonne cocked her head to one side. "But if you die then it's over as well....woudn't you at least like the chance to revive your career?" Laharl looked at Etna, his face exhasperated. "No you didn't....and at least when I pick on them I don't chuck knives through their heads like some people." |
Anna shook her head. "Angel, I won't GET a chance. It's a one time only thing. If I mess up... well, I messed up. It's a dog-eat-dog career."
Anna slipped past Laharl, and went towards the helm. "Well, anyway..." Etna twitched, before reaching forward and punching Laharl in the shoulder 'playfully', more like abnormally hard. "Oh, Prince, you're so FUNNY!!" She was of course startled when Demitri pulled up the anchor for Anna. She still could'nt tell he was there. "Argh! What keeps doing that!?! I can't pull it up and yet whatever that is can pull it up, either that or it can pull itself up..." Abel sighed. He figured Etna should be glad she had no idea. |
"At least you'd still be alive." Flonne muttered under her breath.
Laharl fell forward onto the deck, dropping Abel in the process. He glared at Etna and growled. "Aw go play in traffic." He muttered. |
Abel approached Flonne, bowing a little. "Good morning, Flonne. How are you doing?"
He spoke quietly, so no one else would hear him using his own voice. "Things certainly seem to be off to a noisy start, yes? We should'nt let Laharl wake Anna up anymore. It took five minutes and they already got some sort of crazy idea..." Etna giggled, before spotting Martha walk out. She waved overly enthusiastically. "HIIII, BUSTY!!" Martha looked mad, before responding. "HIIII, FLATTIE!" Etna shut up quite quickly. Martha in the meantime glared at Anna, before running up to her and... punching her in the back of the head. "I overheard! What ARE you thinking!?! I mean... KRAKEN, ANNA. KRAKEN!!" Anna had stumbled over and into the wheel, causing the ship to swagger a little, before Anna got a hold on the wheel again. "Well, I'm THINKING we might as well have some fun before Asylum gets here. Right?" The teenager looked discouraged as Martha only continued to glare at her. "...Riiiight?" |
Flonne nodded emphaticly.
"No kidding. Those two are either going to kill us or each other." Laharl looked back to Martha and Anna smiling. "Now you're not going to go against your Captain are you?" ((Sorry about my short posts but I'm having to do it while still in class XP)) |
Abel laughed. "That's very true! They certainly seem to get along well... more or less, it really lies in whatever your definition of 'well' is..."
The Prinny glanced off towards Anna and Martha, who had both looked towards Laharl. Except Martha looked like she was ready to strangle him... which she was. "Hey, listen. I about smashed your head in with a hammer, and I'm still more than willing to do so. Okay?" Anna stood there, before slapping Martha on the shoulder and grinning. "Hey, c'mon! It won't be bad! The Kraken might not even be real." "But what if it is!?", Martha said, reaching forward, grabbing Anna by the shoulders, and practically throttling her. "Then we'll all get freakin' killed, that's what!!" (Ah, I see; that's fine! To be honest with you I'm kind of doing the same, although I'm homeschooled so I can minimize when I need to. Good luck with your classes!) |
"I don't think I want to know what 'well' is when it pertains to those two..." She sighed...Laharl was going to get them thrown off...that's what he was going to do.
Laharl smirked. "Yeah, if you smashed my head in who's gonna help Anna? I think you want to keep me around for as long as you can." He lay a hand on his sword hilt and chuckled. "If we die, I'm making sure to take it with me." ((Okies I'm out now, I can type faster.)) |
Abel was, truthfully, concerned, by now. "Yes, he's really ticking off Martha. God knows what she'll do if he keeps up..."
Anna glanced over at the distracted Martha, and went back to steering the ship. Geez, she KNEW Martha would want to kill somebody. Better Laharl than her, she guessed. Martha growled at Laharl. "Oh, wow, you must really think I care! It was Anna's idea to go look for Asylum in the Netherworld, and it was neither of our's idea for her to bring back some blue haired midget!" Etna snickered, pointing a finger at Laharl. "Ha... she called you a blue-haired midget." One of the two extra prinnies spoke up. "Wow, that's pretty dead on, Dood!" Abel glanced away, lifting his flipper up to his beak. "He is pretty short..." (Oh, okay, then. I'm done with mine, too.) |
"She's going to kill him..."
"Well then maybe we can all go back and leave you stupid Humans to fend for yourselves!" He turned on Etna with a fury. "I am NOT SHORT!!! SHUT UP!!" He punt-kicked a Prinny that was laughing closest to him and laughed when it headed for Etna....It wasn't planned...but it worked. |
Abel cussed slightly as he realized what would happen; and the Prinny hit Etna.
And exploded. And a small chunk of Anna's ship fell off. A pause ensued as Anna stood there, staring, as if someone had just shot her. "..." Yes, a deadly silence, that was for sure. Turns out Etna had dodged it, and the Prinny hit the deck instead... if anything the hole wasn't where water would leak in. "Uh... that one was the Prince's fault!", Etna said, before quickly skittering away to safety. Martha also quickly backed away from Anna, who was still standing there, anger increasingly appearing on her face. "I... am... going to..." Anna pointed her axe at Laharl, red in the face and looking as if she could be red in the eyes, for that matter. "KILL YOU! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!! WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE YOU THINKING!?! LOOK AT MY SHIP! HOW IN THE WORLD COULD YOU DO THAT TO MY SHIP!?!" Abel looked horrified. "What in the world was he thinking..." |

Laharl's head cricked as it turned around....he was pale...no wait he was White "Oh....crap...." For a second he contemplated jumping off into the water to leave her to her anger...but he wasn't willing to risk the swim. "IT WAS ETNA!!!" He cried uselessly. "SHE DODGED IT!!!" He made a break for Mint and she stared at him like he was crazy. |
(I read that he kicked the Prinny and I could'nt resist it XDD AH, POOR SHIP!)
Anna ran at Laharl like some sort of rabid bull, axe blasting fire at him. "YOU FREAKIN' MORON! OH, GOOD LUCK TRYING TO GET TO THE KRAKEN NOW, IT AND ALL THE OTHER PIRATES WILL JUST LAUGH AT ME AND MY HUGE FREAKING HOLE IN MY SHIP!!!" The orange haired girl ran out, flailing. "THE SHIP IS ON FIRE!!" Anna's eyes grew wide. "WHAT!?!" "AROUND WHERE THE HOLE IS!!", she responded. "AND THE HOLE'S WHERE YOUR ROOM IS!" A few more moments. More cussing. "PUT THE FIRE OUT! PUT THE FREAKIN' FIRE OUT!!!" The orange haired girl gave a salute and ran back inside. Anna in the meantime went back after Laharl, screaming loud, erm... 'sailor speak' at him. Abel stood there, before looking back at Flonne. "... Well, forget that, Anna's going to kill him, now." Martha had run in to assist with the fire issues, whacking Laharl in the head on her way past. |
Flonne sighed, and settled with watching Laharl race around in circles as Anna chased him.
"Well...there goes my Demon subject." Abbie in the meantime had raced ahead of the others and was down in the hole extinguishing the flames with her ice, Lollie had went with her, trying to create a line of fire that would cancel out the other, Saiet was perched above them, keeping the flames from reaching the two. Dagger and Mint nodded to each other, Mages had their uses...and these three certainly worked well together. |
A finally, after a while of this, the fires were out.
Anna on the other hand was still ticked off... since Martha was talking to her through use of the hole in the wall of the room, which she was leaning out of. "Well, Anna, just figured I'd tell you that your bed and your desk and all that's burnt. Hope you don't mind sleeping on the deck for a while!" Anna cussed some more, stomping. She wasn't expecting this a bit, and it was all the midgets fault. "ARGH! I can't believe this!" Martha looked around Anna's half burnt bedroom. "Wow, it's so charming. I'm glad my room doesn't look like this." She picked up a stack of half burnt drawings-- admittedly she did'nt just pick them up, she'd found them under the bed. Anyway, it seemed as if Anna had drawn the new crew members; for the most part, Laharl. She looked forward to seeing new drawings of Laharl with an axe in his head. Abel had sat down near Flonne, still vaguely disturbed. "Well, then... this has been a very strange morning..." |
Laharl had hidden away on the top of the mast after Anna became distracted by the fire.
Abbie hopped over a fallen peice of the wood and came to rest in front of Anna. "I'm sorry all this happend....I guess we should have been paying more attention to where the Prinnes were." She bowed in apology and looked back through the debri. "If we had the material...Dagger and Mint could have it fixed in a matter of days...but I don't know where we'd find anything like that." |
Anna sighed, trying to calm herself down. "Well... whenever we get to the next island over, if there's not any society I'm sure they'll be plenty of trees, so I guess we can get some wood from there..."
She scratched her head, still looking close to fuming. "Maybe you should've been watching Laharl instead of the Prinnies, that little brat, messin' up my ship..." Etna walked up to Anna. "Actually, I agree. I think we should start keeping him in a pen." "Oh, please.", Anna said, swatting. "Like that would keep him from messing up something. We'd need like, a huge cage or something." |
Saiet and Lollie found their way through, and nodded in their agreement. Then with two evil smiles shoved their wands forward.
"We can do...well something like that." They said. Moments later, after sending Flonne up to retreive him, Saiet and Lollie were positioned on either side of Laharl, both focusing all their energies on keeping the red and green cage materialized around Laharl. "Sorry Prince." They smirked. "But you're just too destructive." |

Anna was seen standing there, cackling madly at Laharl's predicament. It was actually pretty funny that they'd keep their own Overlord in a cage... but it was a good thing. After a minute, she stood up straight, clearing her throat. "Thanks, you guys. If you need anything for this one, let me know, alright?" Anna was, if anything, more than willing to do a favor to anyone who done her one. She snickered, glancing away, before laughing again. Laharl in a cage was quite funny. Martha walked out... and soon was seen cracking up. Etna wasn't much better, pointing at Laharl and laughing, arm over her stomach. "This is SO great!! I wish I had a camera..." |
He flailed. Abbie had made a set of fetters for his hands and feet, so all he really could do was flail, and curse and scream...all of which he did in abundance.
"I'LL KILL YOU ALL FOR THIS!!!" He screamed. "JUST YOU WAIT!!" Dagger and Mint held onto his sword for him, they were starting to think he was going to be more trouble if they let him keep it...in order to save what sanity they, and the rest of the crew had, they confiscated his weapon. Flonne just shook her head. "Well...this is what he gets I guess." ((I know, but at least now Anna won't kill him....I think)) |
(Hm... well, that axe is pretty long, and if he keeps yelling, who knows what'll happen. XDD )
Abel was heard laughing a bit, but he quickly cleared up, deciding that if he were to get out he did'nt want to suffer the same kick of death. He looked up at Flonne. "Oh... yes, I suppose so. I don't usually laugh at other peoples problems but this is sort of hard to not laugh at..." Anna went back up to the helm, twitching on occasion. "My poor ship... Oh, man. I'm gonna have to freakin' sleep on the deck tonight. And oh boy, watch it start raining..." She pulled a compass from her pocket, holding it up towards the sky. After a moment, Anna gave a nod and steered the ship slightly to the side, as a small island could be seen off in the horizon. Martha in the meantime elbowed Etna. "Hey... hey. For breakfast, you reckon we're gonna have to like, give him the zoo animal treatment and throw him the food through the cage bars?" Etna cackled, elbowing back. "Hey... maybe we should just throw him a fish, with the vitamins in it and all, and then see if he'll bounce a ball on his nose." Both girls began laughing loudly at the image. |
Flonne nodded, she was succeding in keeping a straight face...but it took all she had.
Laharl menwhile leapt at the cage sides as he heard everything that passed between Etna and Martha. "YOU I'LL--" The cage bars did their job and sent him flying back against the other side of the makeshift cell. Both Mages shook their head as he rose, blacked. "I am NOT A SIDE SHOW FREAK ETNA!!" He cried shuffling back to his corner. |
Martha clapped her hands together. "And the midget withdraws to his corner of shame!"
Etna on the other hand was busy laughing again at Laharls proclamation of NOT being a side show freak. Demitri perched on the rails near Anna, looking over at Laharl. He soon grinned, deciding to annoy Anna, since that was always very fun. Especially when she was ticked off. "Oh, you must be mad, they've got your little boyfriend in a cage." Anna quickly turned, looking infuriated and pointing a finger at Demitri. "WHAT!?!" Demitri sniggered, stretching his arms. "Nice one, have fun trying to explain that to those guys." Etna stared, trying to figure out what Anna was pointing at and yelling about. Anna stood there, in the same pose she'd been in a minute ago. "Oh, um... WHAT'S... THAT!?!" "Well.", Etna said. "That looks like a bird..." Looking off in that direction, all Anna could see was a seagull. A few more minutes. Anna dropped her hand. "Oh... right. YES, THAT IS INDEED... a bird." She waited until Etna looked away to whack Demitri over the head. "You say that one more time and I'll throw you to the sharks!" "Oh, goodness.", answered Demitri, scratching behind his ear. "Well, I don't like sharks..." |
Wriggle
wriggle wriggle So ended the latest rant of Prince Laharl, Overlord to the Netherworld. Abbie and the others go so fed up with Laharl ramming himself against the cage sides that she had to restrict his movement to wriggling and then all three of them threatened Etna and Martha both, that if they didn't stop pestering him, they were going to release the cage. Everytime he hit and was blown to the other side..it pained all three mages the same degree, they were all linked to him and had it not been for their concentration, the cage would have fallen long before now. |
Martha and Etna shut up, backing away, although Etna done some sort of weird arm wavy thing as she went. Etna seemed to be unusually hyper this morning... there again, she had no reason NOT to be, right?
"Sooo, ANNA!" Anna sighed, looking back at Etna, who'd run up to her. "Whaaaat?" "Who were you talking to?", Etna asked, looking around. "Oh. Um..." Anna pointed. "TO THE BIRD. HELLO, BIRD!" The bird, freaked out by Anna's loud greeting, screeched and flew off, leaving Anna standing there with her finger out again. "Shoot. I don't guess it likes me. Okay anyway, Etna, stop being annoying and go sit down somewhere. So Laharl can, er... sit in the middle of his cage peacefully." Etna crossed her arms, pouting. "Geez, none of you guys are any fun." Finally, the island grew closer, and Anna was sure they'd be there soon; the winds blew heavily today, thus allowing the ship to move faster. |
"I'm going to kill you all....once I get out of here I'm going to murder every last one of you..starting with you three." Laharl glared at his Mages and they all shook their heads in unision. How many times had they heard that? He always needed them in the end.
"Dagger, Mint, you guys get ready for some hard labor." Abbie barked, taking over for her incapacitated Prince. "We've got to get this ship fixed within a few days." Both warriors nodded and clapped hands. They were ready. |
