Laharl's Nightsever, however wild it may have been, only seemed to scratch the Empusa. He slid back along the ice and let out an annoyed 'tch' as he jerked his sword in front of him again, and charged the giggling demon.
"WILL YOU JUST DIEEEE!!?" He screamed, aiming a powerful slice to it's neck sending it on in a poof of light and dust.
He looked back, just a little winded and smiled.
"See? That's how an Overlord gets it done."

Laharl was laughing hard enough as it was when Anna was grabbed, but her reaction made it all the more funny..until he realized that if he didn't get on the ball, he was going to be left behind. He dove headlong into the fray right beside Anna, ocassionally yelling if she happened to steal a kill.

(Oh, man, I can't believe I took this long. I can understand you on being busy, although for me it's more so I get distracted!)


Anna wasn't actually working much better than Laharl. Although she made alot of kills, she'd throw a momentary fit when he stole one from her, usually consisting of insults.
There wasn't ctual much more to note than Anna flailing her weapon around in a hurry, and the irritiated Abel watching from afar, wondering just how long the insanity would last.

It wasn't long before Laharl was heaving and gasping for air...there seemed to be no end to the Empusa.
"DAMN!" He cursed under his breath.
"How many more are there!?" He looked behind him mortified to see more coming.
"LAHARL!" Flonne cried.
"Don't you think that that's enough!?" She was really starting to get worried...it looked like Laharl wouldn't be able to last much longer.
...Dagger and Mint on the other hand...were having a blast...seemed they fared better than the two Leaders...mostly because of their teamwork...they guarded one another, and held off a large number quite easily.

Anna wasn't faring much better, if not slightly worse, being a human and all. She looked vaguely frightened as she saw another group of Empusa approaching. "Man, what's the deal!?! Isn't there an end to them!?"

Abel also looked rather worried, moreso about Anna than Laharl, of course. "This doesn't look good, Flonne, but I don't think there's much we can do... haha, if only they had the teamwork skills of those two--"
He was promptly yelled at by an irritated and near to breathless Anna. "I CAN HEAR YOU, YOU KNOW!"

"I don't think so!" Laharl sighed and dodged a blow coming down just behind Anna.
"What are we gonna do?! This is way beyond what I had planned!"

Flonne nodded empatically.
"You're right...." She then narrowed her eyes and stuck out her bottom lip out.
"WELL THEN WORK TOGETHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"IT'S NOT THAT HARD CONSIDERING YOU BOTH HATE BREASTS!!!"
She set her shoulders and glared at the two, pointing over to Dagger and Mint as they raced through the masses laughing loudly and swinging wildly.
"COME ON!!"

Anna looked incredibly infuriated, pointing a finger at Flonne. "DON'T YOU DARE BOSS ME AROUND!! BESIDES, I'M... V-VERY USED TO TEAM WORK. IT'S JUST... HIM."
She squirmed angrily, before slapping Laharl on the back of the head. "I MEAN, COME ON. ME? WORK WITH THIS IDIOT!!?"

Abel sighed, his round eyes half-lidded and lacking all signs of ethusiasm. "You two were getting along great, earlier..."
Anna flailed her arms a little. "THAT WAS A VERY, VERY LONG TIME AGO!!"

((With all the updates I'm surprised I can load it on my BAD dail-up XDDD But no worries))
"SHUT IT ANNA!" Laharl cried back, returning the slap to the head.
"IF IT'S ANYONE IT'S YOU!"
Flonne just stood there. She was sick and tired of dealing with the two of them, she gave a whistle and Dagger and Mint stopped mid kill and turned to look at her.
"Time to head back you two, Laharl's said he's done playing!" They gave her two big puppy faces as if begging to stay longer but she'd hear none of it.
"Nope, he says he wants to go back." They sighed in unison and hopped back inside the portal that took them back to the castle, while Flonne hung back just long enough to stick out her tounge.
"I hope you two like the thought of dying together!" She cried before hopping in herself.
That only left Laharl and Anna there.....with the masses of jiggling.....bouncing.......squriming......things that stood between them and the way home....they were too far out to make it back...at least on their own.
"Great.." Laharl said with a sigh.
"We're doomed."

Anna growled, looking absolutely peeved at this point. "Are you kidding me!?! YOU'RE the psycho midget and you're the entire freaking reason we're here!!"
She then stopped, watching as Flonne yelled at them and then proceeded to leave. "W-WAIT! CRAP, NO!"
She proceeded to turn around and whack Laharl across the back of the head... again. "I HATE YOU SO MUCH!"
Glancing around at their crappy situation, Anna gripped onto her weapon and clenched her teeth. "Oh, man, what am I going to do...? If I had my crew here this would'nt be a problem but... ooooh, man, this isn't good..."
Continuing to babble in a rather psychotic fashion, Anna was now attempting to plan some sort of way to get out of this... in particular, get HERSELF out of this.

"LIES!" Laharl cried.
"It was your psycho imaginary friend that did this! He got us stuck in the Netherworld!" He inched his way back till they stood together as the masses converged.
"Look..." He started.
"Is it going to be that bad? I mean...ah Hell, you know what I mean!" He looked back to Anna just in time to see a KitCat leap from above them.
"LOOK OUT!" He cried shoving Anna out of the way. The two of them landed a few feet away in the cold snow.
"BBBRRRrrrrrrRRRRRR!!" Laharl came up shivering and rubbing his shoulders.
"DAMNIT THAT'S COLD!"

Anna grit her teeth angrily, glancing over at Laharl as he inched towards her, and as the demons began to close in on them. "Maybe you're right but I'm gonna have his sorry behind for doing this..."
Before she could respond to his next sentence, she had been shoved out of the way of the KitCat's attack, and had landed face-first in the snow... just as gracefully as one would expect from the pirate captain.

She pushed herself up and out of the snow (which was obviously cold but much unlike the demon prince, she was fully clothed), glaring over at Laharl before she completely stood up. Had he actually just kept her from getting killed?
"Hmph..."
Alright, then..., she thought. Guess I owe you one, Laharl...
She stood up straight and readied her weapon, glaring at the large group of demons around them. "I'm not good at this teamwork thing but, we're not going to make it out alive if we don't work together on this one, right?"

((ZOMAIDAWG YOU'RE ON!!! *glomps* HOW ARE YOOUUUUUU!!!!!???))

Instead of sitting in the snow like a retard, Laharl got up and picked up his sword.
He smirked when Anna agreed to work with him, so he glanced over at the way back home and laughed.
"HA! STUPID ANGEL! DIDN'T THINK WE'D DO IT DID YOU!" He let out another laugh and nodded.
"Right, and after we get back, we never speak of this again agreed?"

( YES, I AM ON :'D I have to get off in about 30 minutes, though, but XD *hugs*
I am doing quite well, I should be working on a drawing but I am a lazy person |D )

"Agreed! My reputation's as good as dead if anyone finds out about this...", she mumbled. "Oh, man, Martha would'nt drop it... ever..."
Shuddering slightly at the thought, she soon shook her head and looked back ahead of herself. "I'm also going to beat up Flonne for this when we get back! Now, either way... I'm ready when you are, shorty. Don't go getting yourself killed!"
She grinned, although admittedly she wasn't exactly looking forward to this.

((Le Sigh, oh wells at least I get to see you for this long at least XDD))

He chuckled.
"Heh, your Martha, and my Etna...seems we both have something to lose by this."
He turned with a scowl.
"You're only going to get whatever is left of that crazy Love Freak after I'M done with her!..AND DON'T CALL ME SHORTY!" He was looking at Anna, but swung his sword out on his left, cutting a Empusa in half.
"JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T DIE ANNA!"

(XDD I'll make it a point to try to be on tomorrow, atleast!)

Anna laughed loudly, waving a hand at him. "No need to warn me!"
With that, she swung her axe above her head, swinging it down and into an Empusa, then swinging it vertically and into a few more of the mass of demons.
This whole situation got on her nerves, actually; even if they WOULD do better fighting together like this, there was still alot of these big-breasted monstrosities to kill, wasn't there? This could take some time...

Laharl growled out a laugh, and speared another two before turning back.
"Think you can open me up a space?" He asked.
"I'll try to cut us a path to the portal, but I need a window to do it in."

(D: Oh, I see; I'm usually on every night, if nothing's come up, but on weeknights I'm only on until 11:00 unless my parents let me do otherwise XD I was going to ask to stay on late tonight but I done that lastnight, too)

Anna nodded. "Alright, gotcha!"
She glanced around until she laid eyes on the portal again, and with an efforted grunt, swung the large axe once more, making contact and defeating three more Empusa. "Okay, go! I've got your back, if you need it!"

((XDD Well, that's a pickle isn't it? XDD))

Laharl smirked and when the three blocking his way were gone, he shoved Anna out of the way and leapt up, he had enough strength left to pull of a small Winged Slayer opening up Anna a hole to get out of.
"GO!" He cried coming back down.
"THERE'S YOUR OPENING! TAKE IT!"

(XD Indeed it is! Figured I'd post again before I got off, though)

Anna glanced over towards the opening and nodded, but didn't just slip through; she took in a breath, and ran through the opening, swinging her axe in circles around herself, managing to hit the Empusa that attempted to close in on her. Not implying her balance was doing too well, since the axe was much heavier than she herself.

She did, either way, make it over to the portal but didn't go in immediatly, looking back to make sure Laharl was on his way before she did anything.

Laharl tried to follow suit....and he really did TRY...but just as his foot met ground, a rather annoying KitCat found him and pounced with a "Nyan~♪"
Laharl let out a cry as he hit snow and soon he was covered in what was left of the group...not that it was all that many...but still..he was helpless in the jiggling masses.

Anna cringed as she saw Laharl get pounced by what was left of the mass. "Crap... stupid boy..."
She was so tempted to just go through that gate, and save herself. That was how pirates worked, after all.

However, something in her decided not to as she growled, turning around and running back for Laharl; she lifted her axe and, being careful not to hit him, swung it across the mass surrounding him, taking out a few.
Now able to see his hand, Anna grit her teeth and grabbed it, attempting to pull him out. "Come on! We gotta get out of here, idiot! Get up and move!!"

((XDD HAI!))

Laharl breathed in deeply as Anna pulled him from the pile.
"GUUUUHHHHHH!!!" He gasped all but falling out into the open air.
He paused leaning on his knees for a moment and he glared.
"I suppose that warrents a 'thank you'..." He looked behind them and squeaked.
"THAT CAN WAIT TILL ANOTHER TIME!" He gripped Anna's wrist and took off at a run, dragging her with him as he left the snow and demons behind, racing into the portal not stopping till he almost hit a wall in his own castle.

(XDD Hey! I'll be on until 12:00 eastern time, tonight!)

Finally, the two were back at the castle, and Anna looked absolutely caught off guard as she stood there with Laharl. "T-that was a close one..."

"C-captain! You're alright!"
Abel looked thrilled, as much as he could, anyway. "I-I thought you two would get killed, back there. But you're alive... that's good."
Anna glanced over towards Abel, furrowing her brows. "And we would'nt had been at much risk if it weren't for that stupid angel! Where is she, anyway!? I got a bone to pick... or perhaps break... with her!"
