Anna headed over to a coatrack in the corner of the room, pulling off her trenchcoat and yanking it on. It'd been obvious that she'd done this alot, because she seemed to had programmed some sort of path into her mind.
From there, she went back over to the bed and sat down on the side of it, pulling on her boots. "Yeah, she's pretty impatient. It's annoying as heck but it's not like I can say anything, you know." |
Laharl quirked an eyebrow.
"You can't say anything? Why not? You're the Captian here right? What is the Captain the one who takes orders..." He paused and grinned. "Or is it you're scared of her?" |
Anna twitched. "Well, why would I NOT be scared of her? If you think I hit hard, you oughtta try dealin' with her when she's mad."
Anna shuddered a bit, finishing getting her boots tied on. "It's pretty scary, you know. That, and you seemed kinda freaked out of her, so, I don't even wanna hear anything comin' from you!" Standing up, she picked up her axe from next to her bedstand. "I'm not as scared of her as I am some other things, though. Ever heard of the Kraken? That thing could probably wreck my ship worse than Asylum ever could, thank god I've never had a run in with it, though." |
Laharl grinned biting his tounge.
"Shut up." He said playfully. "She's a lot scarier than you at any rate." He thought about what Anna'd said about the Kracken. He looked over at her confused. "What's this thing look like? Never heard of it." |
Anna grinned, sitting down on the edge of her bed again, figuring she'd be here for a few more minutes. "Supposably, it's a very large, squid like creature; bigger than any pirate vessel any eyes were ever laid upon. Supposably it crushes the ships in half and devours them after that, either that or just devours them whole. It's more like a legend. Nobody who HAS seen it has been around to tell of it, you know?"
Enthusiasm of some sort had filled Anna's eyes as she stared blankly ahead of herself, at the wall. "I wonder if it's just a mindless beast, or if it can actually think. Would'nt it be great to have control of it? I'd be the fiercest pirate on all the sea... the ultimate. No one could defeat me!" The look faded, however, she looked like something had hit her. "Oh, man, I meant to tell you, while that angel isn't listening... she really... annoys me. Alot.", Anna said, looking annoyed. "I don't guess I'm used to hearing anyone babble on about love and all that crap on my ship. I don't see how you stand it. That love stuff ticks me off. There's a bunch of human women who babble on like morons about it, though." |
Laharl listened intently...for the first five minutes, then kind of dazed off...he'd been thinking the exact thing Anna had been...if he could get a hold of that Kraken thing....no one would dare rise up against him in the Netherworld...not even Mid-boss...yes, Laharl could beat him ten times out of ten..but just think if he didn't have to bother with him at all....
"Huh? Yeah Love crap...uh huh.....even that stupid Prism ranger couldn;t do anything about it....heh heh heh..." ((On that note....I actually like the Prism Rangers XDD)) |

Anna grinned. Apparently, he'd had about the same idea. "Hey, listen. I think I know where it's at... but... I don't know if I want to go or not." She tapped her chin. "You know me and my ship. I'm out of the pirate game if anything happens to it. And, the Kraken could smash it in half with near to no effort, but..." She still grinned deviously, glancing off to the side. "As for Asylum... she could find us anywhere we went, so... we might as well have fun while you guys are here. I've got alot of stuff I could show you guys, but I'm not sure if I wanna go up against the Kraken or not and risk getting my ship crushed like an ant. But... if I had that guy when Asylum popped up..." |
Laharl was smiling widely.
"Does that mean we're going to have a little fun while we wait for Asylum? I'm willing to risk anything you do." He cracked his knuckles and laughed. "Besides I'm interested as to what kind of places you can show us...and what we'd find there." |
Anna nodded. "Then, I guess we'll risk losing the ship. After all, I might not lose it after all, but... after this is all over, I don't think I'll see you guys again..."
She scratched her head. "There's a ton of places out there, though. I don't even know where to start. There's some of them I've wanted to go to but haven't..." Anna lifted up a map from her bedstand, crossing her legs and palcing it on her lap. "I guess we'll go towards where the Kraken supposably dwells at, and make stops along the way, or something like that." |
He bounced off the chair and leapt onto the bed next to Anna.
"Please, as if you could get rid of us that easily." He muttered smiling, this was certainly more exciting than anything he would have been doing back at the Castle, and he was sure that Dratti and the others could handle things while he was away for a bit longer. |
Anna glanced over at him, grinning and laughing. He was certainly getting into this. She guessed the Netherworld did'nt have anything like pirates, after all...
"Okay, then. This map covers all of the islands on the ocean and all the lands accessible by it. We'll avoid going too far onto the larger pieces of land the ocean connects to, though... everything there's all built up and made of metal and crap. Oh, and not to mention that Captain Gordon idiot. But that's another story..." Anna looked down at the map, before placing her finger on an island. "This one's close to where we are, so that'll be our first stop. There's supposably some sorta treasure buried there, but the whole place is really grown up, like some sort of jungle. From there..." She directly placed her finger on the southern side of the map. "We'll be going down here, with stops inbetween, of course, but... yeah. The Kraken's supposably down there somewhere... we on the other hand are in the northern hemisphere, so we've got a ways to go. You still interested?" |
He glared at Anna his face bright...for being grumpy that morning, the day had taken a turn for the better.
"Duh...of course I'm intrested, I'm not in the mood to wait around for Asylum...she can find us anytime right? Then let's get something worth fighting for, I'm not like you, I can't fight for a ship with only sentimental value." |
Anna sighed, shaking her head and shoving Laharl in the shoulder with her hand. He just did'nt get it. "This ship... if I lost it, I'd be out of the pirate game. I'd lose all of my money and treasure, and the only place I have to keep that on is my ship. And without that, there's no way I could buy a new ship. And I just could'nt settle for one in Tortuga... if I could possibly get back to it without my ship."
She crossed her arms. "The ship's a very important thing, you know? Like, if you lost your castle and could'nt rebuild it... well, that would suck for you, would'nt it? But, anyway..." Anna folded the map up, nodding, as if confirming what would be done. "It's settled. We'll be going on a trip, then." Anna glanced towards the window, looking a bit nervous. Martha's going to kill me for bringing this one up all of a sudden. But she'll just have to deal. |
"Meh." He said.
"So long as they're more to this ship than wood and cloth..I'll fight for it." He jumped off and ran for the door. "So? Are we going or what?!" |
Anna sighed, standing up. "Geez, I'm coming! Calm down."
Anna got up and followed after him, map in hand. Martha in the meantime found cooking breakfast for Anna more annoying than usual. "Argh!", growled Demitri, looking frusturated as he helped out with the cooking. "I need to ask Anna something but that midget is taking forever talking to her." "Calm down already!", said Martha, who looked ticked. "Whatever, as long as the Captain gets up off her lazy behind and gets out here to eat this freakin' food, I don't care!" Demitri chucked a hunk of garlic at her head. "Bite me!" Martha stood there, as if letting what had happen sink in. "I think... I will!", she yelled, before turning and going after him, knife in hand. In that instant, Demitri turned, running out of the kitchen area. Abel in the meantime was out on the deck, coiling up one of the ropes and putting it off to the side so no one would trip over them. Seeing as everyone here seemed to really enjoy running and not paying attention to anything. |
Laharl sped down the hallway toward the deck with his arms held out to the side, at least until he got to the door. He banged it open and yelled for his group to drop what they were doing...which really wasn't much, and listen.
"This trip is taking more of a detour than I thought, Anna's pointed out some Islands around here and we're going to go check them out....after all it beats waiting around here for Asylum." He got a few cheers from the Warriors who had been sparring on deck and a few groans from the Mages, who just wanted to go home...Saiet was looking a little greener than usual and she peeked back over the side of the railing just before losing her stomach again. |
Etna had been sitting off to the side somewhere. Either way she looked sort of irritated. "Aw, man, really? Well, whatever, I guess... geez, you seem excited about it, either way, Prince."
Abel was, either way, startled by his sudden and loud entrance. But he wasn't surprised, not with Laharl's behavior or with Anna's decision. It did on the other hand mean things would be crazier than they already were. Oh, boy. Anna on the other hand had decided to take her time coming out on deck, walking along and... checking the corners for spiders. |
Flonne was giddy.
"Does that mean we're staying here for a little longer!" She cried happily. "Yes that means we're staying." "YAY!!!" She threw up her hands in the air and spun around much to the confusion of the others..but Flonne wanted to stick around as long as she could, close to Anna and the rest of her crew. |
Anna walked on at deck, looking at the extremely excited looking Flonne. "Oh, man, someone's worked up..."
Abel suddenly looked nervous. Oh, he knew where Anna was going to go with this one. He ran up to her. "D-Dood, Captain. Tell me you're not going to try to find the Kraken, Dood!" Anna blinked, leaning down and nodding. "Well if I told you that, I'd be lieing. Yep! The one and only Kraken! If I can get it under my control, I'll be the ultimate pirate!" "Dood... that's crazy, Dood!", Abel responded, looking nervous. "What if it's just a mindless beast, Dood? It'll crush your ship, Dood!" Anna stood there, before reaching down and bonking him over the head. "Hey, atleast let me hope, okay?" |
"Besides." Laharl said speaking over his shoulder to the Prinny.
"Even if it is, Killing something like that is gotta count for something. ANd what do you think Asylum is? A Bookworm? Think not drone, think not." Flone tilted her head. "Would someone mind telling me what a 'Kracken' is?" |
Abel sighed, shaking his head. "... Whatever you say, Dood. As long as you're sure... of what you're up against, Dood."
Anna looked over at Flonne. "The Kraken is a sea monster known for being large enough to devour entire ships." She crossed her arms, nodding in a matter-of-fact like manner. "So, you get the idea... of what it'll be capable of doing to my ship." The Captain sighed, afraid of what could indeed happen to her ship. But, whatever. Asylum might pop up before they made it there, anyway. Or, for that matter, the Kraken might not even be real. |
"I'm sure that it's in trouble." He said crossing his arms haughtily.
Flonne was enthralled. She listened intently like a child to a fairytale. "So this thing is bigger than this whole ship!?" She looked around. That was one big creature. |
Abel looked up at Laharl, sighing. Laharl was really full of himself, wasn't he? "Oh, are you so sure about that, Dood?"
Anna looked at Flonne, nodding. "Yep, sure is. Alot of people have gotten killed by it before, so, who knows what might happen to us... but if worse comes to worse, you guys have that... portal thingy, so you can use it, but I'm staying here no matter what." "You're just dieing to get eaten, aren't you?", said Demitri, who'd just walked up behind her. |
Laharl dug his knuckles into Abel's head.
"Are you seriously doubting me!? Maybe I should Etna get a hold of you!!" Flonne shook her head. "If we leave you're coming with us!! I know you don't want to leave your ship Anna, but your life is so much more important!!" She argued, then quieted her zeal as she noticed Demitri. |
Abel yelped, attempting to push Laharl's fist away. "D-Dood!! All I asked was... if you were S-OW-URE YOU COULD DO IT, DOOD!!!"
Anna crossed her arms, glaring at Flonne. "Number one rule, angel. A Captain NEVER leaves their ship! No matter what! Besides, I might as well go down with it. My career's OVER if I lose my ship!" Demitri looked down at Anna, and then to Abel. "Oh, look! You're a bird, now." Thankfully Anna seemed too distracted to notice what he'd said; Abel on the other hand looked panicked, waving his flippers at him. "N-not infront of..." "Oh.", said Demitri. "Gotcha." Abel had no idea how he knew but, he did nonetheless... he did'nt guess he'd tell Anna. He hoped not, atleast. Etna raised an eyebrow, watching the whole scene. Wow, all of these guys were really out there. Laharl was acting as dumb as always, Anna was acting like Laharl, which was dumb... Flonne was acting ditzy, and well, it was starting to seem pretty normal. Normal as in, completely otherwise. Although the human would was pretty weird, she'd already managed to get used to having Anna and all of her idiot crew around. Either way, she'd just noticed Laharl beating up on Abel; even if Anna did'nt know who he was, Flonne certainly seemed to like him. She walked up to Laharl, sighing and leaning forward in that usual pose she did. "Okay, Prince, that's enough. Only I'M allowed to pick on the Prinnies! Haven't we discussed this already?" |
