"Wait," he said pausing. "Who's your brother?" He was curious now but not curious enough to have to pry the information out of her. If she told him he'd be happy but if she didn't, oh well.

She looked down sadly "I mean...had..."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Vincent said feeling a bit guilty. He stood now stretching slightly and moved towards the stairs. "I'll leave you alone for a while."

"O-okay..." She didn't want to force him to stay with her so she didn't say anything more. The sun was rising and she sighed, not wanting it to hurt Vincent. "I guess you'd better go to your room, since the sun is about to come through the windows..."

"I guess that'd be a good idea," he said with a sigh. "Well you know where I am if you need me." He started up the stairs but stopped in the middle of the hall way. He was wondering what the sun rise looked like now and he could just barely see it peaking over the horizon.

She smiled "Yup," When he stopped she tilted her head "Everything okay?"

"Yeah," he said a bit blankly. "Just thought I'd see if I could watch the sun rise." He seemed a bit out of it for a moment and was a bit shocked that the sun bothered him even though not much sunlight was hitting him.

She stood up and walked over to him Uhh are you feeling okay? Remember what happened last time?"
|
"Oh yeah," Vincent said blinking slightly. The sun was coming up and he was already beginning to feel a bit weak. He went into his room but turned to glance at Risa for a brief moment before going to the bed and laying down.

She took a blank canvas she found and some paints, and went out on the hill. She studied every inch of the sunrise and painted it almost exact on the canvas. Then she went upstairs, closed all the doors with light coming from them and all the curtains, then lightly knocked on Vincent's door.

Vincent got up when he heard the knock and went to the door and cracked it open. He couldn't sleep and it was bothering him. "Yes," he asked when he saw Risa.

She smiled and handed him the picture. On the back she had written To Vincent, I can't capture the sunrise for you, but I can sure as hell try. "Sorry, it's really sloppy, I know, I was in a hurry." She was sad she had messed it up at a few parts but she was glad she could give him something "I'm so sorry you have never see it in person...yet."

Vincent blushed slightly when he saw the painting. He had never received a gift like this before and for a moment he was speechless. He hugged her after admiring the painting. "It's fine," he said with a smile. "I don't know what a real one looks like, but but this is beautiful." He was smiling now happy tha the had gotten something. "I can't sleep though."

She hugged him back "Thank you." She frowned when he told her he couldn't sleep and thought for a moment. She put one finger up and said "Wait here." Then she dashed downstairs and got the television and a VCR . She carried it back up and into his room. When she set it down she plugged it all in and took a step back to admire her work. "Now we can watch movies or read, whatever you feel like!" She smiled.

Vincent was a bit shocked when she brought the tv up since it looked a bit heavy but then he knew that she was capable of being strong and taking care of herself. He was a bit speechless at first. "Then why don't we watch a movie," he suggested. "Do you want to pick it out?"

She smiled "Nope, you can!" Then she went out and got a stack of movies and set them on the floor in front of him. "That's all we have, so far,"

Vincent paused and then picked a thriller slash horror flick about a city that was infested by a strange disease that made it so that everyone had to evacuate. It looked interesting to him but he didn't know what to expect. "How about this?" he asked wanting her approval of the choice.

She grinned. "One of my favorites! It really is a great movie!" She shook her head and put it in her VCR.

Vincent was pleased he had picked out a good movie. He sat down on the edge of the bed thinking about how he would need a change of clothes soon. He didn't vocalize it though and laid back down on the bed, facing the tv, so that if he fell asleep he'd be sleeping in the right spot.

She sat down on the floor a little to the side of the television so Vincent could still see.

Vincent noticed she was sitting on the ground and sighed slightly. "you know you don't have to sit on the ground," he said.

She turned her head back and smiled at him "But I like it and there's not much room on the bed..." She looked past him at his bed which was a single and very small.
|
Vincent sat up and moved so that at least half or more of the bed was available. "Here you have room now," he said. "I just want you to be comfortable. I know how much the tail bone can hurt after sitting on the floor through a movie."

She smiled and sat on the bed "Okay, thank you!"
|
"No problem," Vincent said with a half smile. "I aim to please the people I care about." He looked sleepy but his eyes once again fixed themselves on the television.
