"She's very nice," Vincent said after a while. "You'll like her."
She smiled more sincerely and nodded, walking to the door. "Shall we?" She said, opening it.
Vincent smiled slightly when she spoke. "All right," he said. He went out the door and then offered his arm to her.
She smiled and took his arm after closing the door behind her and motioned for him to lead the way.
Vincent moved forward then enjoying the fact he was outside. It felt more peaceful than being trapped in a building.
She smiled and followed him into the forest.
"How did you come upon this forest?" he asked suddenly. He seemed to realize how it was sudden and looked away for a moment. He looked back though, wondering what she was thinking.
She smiled "I used to play hide and go seek with Benjamen when we were children, whenever we visited this area." She didn't say who or why they visited, trying to keep her mind off of him.
Vincent shifted slightly so that he could see her better. The house seemed a bit further way then he remembered but he didn't mind. "So can you can tell me who you guys were visiting?" he asked politely.
She sighed "I could, but I-I'd really rather not." She said, repressing memories that were trying to re-surface.
"All right," Vincent said with a slight smile. He was looking about now trying to figure out what they could talk about.
She smiled half heartedly "So how long has your aunt lived here?" She asked, trying to keep the conversation alive.
"Since she was born," Vincent replied. "This cottage specifically she's only lived in since she was 18 and she's about ninety right now though it doesn't show."
She smiled "Wow, it's just like..." Her voice faded away, "N-never mind..." She said, repressing more memories.
Vincent became concerned about Risa but he didn't stop. "Are you sure you don't want to tell me?" he asked. "It'll get it off your shoulders. You're making me really concerned."
She sighed, "No, I'm sure you know just as well as I do of who I am not talking about. I would rather keep it that way." She said, biting her lip.
Vincent realized it was and felt a slight lurch in his stomach. He didn't change his expression though not wanting her to know he'd been jealous.
She looked around, confused "So...where is her house, anyway?" She asked, puzzled.
"We're almost there," Vincent said. It was true since the tree line could be seen ahead and a small cottage was also seen with smoke coming out the chimney.
She smiled and nodded "Oh, now I see it!" She said, looking towards the small cottage.
"Come on," he said in a teasing tone. "Hurry up or you'll miss the best event of the night." He was joking though but he let go of her arm and started jogging to the place hoping she'd catch on that it'd be fun.
She laughed and ran after him, catching up quickly. "And what would that be?" She asked when she got to him.
Vincent laughed slightly and then sighed. "Well," he said as if he were going to begin a very long story. "She has a tradition of making the two tress she has in her house, they're very small, move about."
She laughed. "Wow...that does sound fun!"
"When she came down here to get the apples I could hear the trees groaning though I have no idea what she was thinking about," he admitted. "Well she'll probably tell you."
