Viento sighed some, the next part would be the killer. Mateo lets Mario spend time with Sergio. He stays there a lot. I didn't see Matao often."
Juan didn't know how to take the news. It was so much so fast. More brothers, lies from Mateo, Mario keeping his brothers. "I have to go." He stood up from the table and hurried out before anyone could stop them. Fuego felt so bad for his friend. "He didn't ask for a hug. He's really upset." |
Jade felt over Viento's hands, squeezing them some. "I feel bad that he has to know that...but...I'm glad those boys will be okay. Juan's so nice."
Eyes turned to Jade. It was so nice of him to think dearly of his enemies. Almost inhuman. Jade turned to Viento. "Thanks for helping." He ended the thanks with a soft kiss. |
Juan immediately boarded the first plane to Mexico to retrieve his brothers to see if it was true. He would deal with mateo after learning the facts. It was no problem for him to get the information he needed.
All it took was a change in clothes to match that of Mateo's well cut suits, and shoes that increased Juan's height a few more inches. With the illusion that he was Mateo, he could get anything he wanted from anyone because of the fear Mateo created in a person. No one lied to Mateo. You told him everything he wanted. The same was very true for Mario. |
Avery Ellis was a notorious photographer. At a young age he was able to stand out amongst thousands of camera-wielders. The technical capabilities to capture crisp pictures had been mastered. The artistic qualities to produce works that evoked emotion and thought had been both with him since birth and molded into perfection with experience.
But instead of photographing, he was babysitting. Not that he minded. Children were his favorite to capture! Andre drank as he watched. He didn't move when the doorbell rang. He didn't work here. He was just a friend of the photographer and the brothel owner. |
Larissa ran her long fingers through her hair before she went to the door to answer it. She had been a worker for the brothel for a long time, all because of the man of her dreams. Viento Caluroso had been a student of her mother's at the dance studio. She had been a friend of his when he was very young. After he quit the studio they ran into each other as teenagers. That's when they started their romantic attachment. Romantic to Larissa, something to try to take his mind off Jade for Viento.
She opened the door and gasped slightly at the sight of "Mateo Caluroso." Such a towering and scary man. She backed away from the door and kept her eyes down on the carpet. "Can I help you?" Juan made sure to keep his voice stern and limit his words as his brother did. "Mario." "Yes sir." Larissa hurried to fetch Mario for him. |
Andre set his wine glass down and immediately set to make himself scarce. While he enjoyed terrifying others and making children cry, Mateo Caluroso was not someone he liked bumping heads with. The less he saw him, the fewer chances he would have a heart attack in the future, he was sure.
Or a bullet in his head. He was sure the tales of Mateo eating babies and randomly killing people for fun were all true. The youth was a monster. Avery kept his position and kept silent. A grin spread across his lips, and he winked. He didn't mind risking things by flirting with the "prince of darkness." |
Juan Caluroso would have laughed at Avery and sat down to talk to him, but as Mateo Caluroso, Juan made a simple gesture of lifting the gun from his jacket pocket and taking the safety off.
Sergio entered the living room as Juan pulled the gun from his pocket. His years were spent in hiding from Mateo. Each time the tall man arrived he would have to hide in a cubbard, a room, under tables, anything. He wasn't to be seen or heard when Mateo was around. Yet, the sight of the gun on the one person who kept him protected from all the angry fists, caused Sergio to move from the doorway to Avery's side. "Don't." Juan took a look at the pale sea green hair and lowered his gun. All the times he had been here before......why hadn't he seen him? |
Avery gave the boy a hug. "Don't worry, Sergio, I'll be fine. Mario won't let him shoot me." He smiled and felt through the boy's hair.
But if he did, he knew he could count on Mario making sure he'd get state of the art care. They were best friends, after all! Andre had exited out the door in the kitchen. With his car keys in hand, he frowned at the sight of "Mateo's" car blocking his. Ugh. He hated the fierce teen so much... |
Juan mouthed the name slowly. "Sergio.."
The soft word caused Avery and Sergio to look over at him. The gun dropped from Juan's hand as he rushed over and pulled Sergio from Avery to hug him. "Sergio." Avery raised a brow. Was Mateo on drugs? "Sergio, I can't believe..................I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were here." Sergio stayed frozen in Juan's arms. Was this a trick to stab him? What was going on? Juan forgot about keeping up the cover as Mateo. He didn't care anymore when he saw Sergio. "I'm your brother, Juan." |
Avery moved away once he heard his name. He would allow them space for their reunion. He looked at the two, seeing some of the resemblance, all from their mother. Knowing how Mateo was, he knew Sergio and Matao had their mother's temperance while Mateo gained his father's. Juan. He had little experience with Juan. Seeing how his reaction to Sergio made him happy yet sad at once.
Juan would probably take Sergio. "Sergio...Juan's going to take care of you." Before giving the boy a chance to talk, he went to hunt down Matao for Juan to see. |
Matao stood in Sergio's bedroom looking out the window. Sergio wasn't permitted to come and go like he was. The subject on his mind frequently was how to get his brother away from this terrible place. He would take him somewhere safe, far away.
He turned to look at the doorway when Avery stepped in. As much as he hated Avery and the others who were friends of Mario. Avery had one thing he couldn't argue with, he kept Sergio safe better than he could in this environment. "What is it?" |
Avery approached him and immediately swooped him up. He received a kick in the gut with the little boy's knee. "Ow..." He held him out at a distance to avoid another assault.
"I have a visitor for you and Sergio." "NO!" Matao began squirming more. "No no, he's your brother." Great, that meant DEATH! The child lunged forward and bit him. Avery winced and frowned. Why wasn't he nice like Sergio? Moving him to hold under his arm, he headed out of the bedroom and down the stairs to Juan. |
Sergio wasn't sure what to do with Juan. He understood he wasn't the scary brother, but the sudden rush of events clouded his mind so much.
Juan looked over at the screaming boy and Avery. "Matao?" Avery nodded his head and brought him over. "Yea." Juan laughed. "He's so loud like Mateo." Instead of leaning down to hug Matao, Juan picked him up to hug him. Matao's eyes widened as he was hugged. "What's going on?" "I'm your brother Juan, I'm going to take you home with me." Sergio moved to stand next to Avery and take his hand in his own. What was going on? "What do we do?" |
Avery knelt before Sergio and petted his cheek. "Juan's really, really nice. He'll make sure no one hurts you. Better than I can," he said, ready to receive adulations about how great he was in protecting him.
"Promise, you'll be really happy." He thought for a moment before going to his messenger bag. He had two toys there for the boys to bribe them into posing for the camera. But since they would be leaving him, he figured they could just have them. Walking back to Sergio, he handed them to him. "One is for you and one is for Matao, okay?" |
Sergio nodded his head and held the toys close against himself. Avery had been his only friend while he was there and treated him the way he'd expect a dad to treat a son. He leant against him to give him a hug the best he could while still holding the toys. "Love you, daddy."
Matao rolled his eyes. "Not your dad." Juan smiled at Avery. "I'll remember you being so kind to my brother and taking care of him. Thank you for helping me." Juan ushered Sergio and Matao out to go to his limo parked just outside. "We're going to go to my jet and head to America. You'll really like it there. I'll give you candy!" Matao was sold. Candy! Sergio glanced back at Avery before the door was shut behind them and he went to the limo to get in. |
Avery sighed, not wanting to get emotional. He was hoping he would just be upset to not capture their images on yet another picture. But when Sergio looked back that one last time...he pouted. He didn't want him gone.
Sighing, he looked around to see what became of Mario. He had some nerve to hide away from "Mateo." The gray-eyed youth headed up the stairs to Mario's room to inform him of Matao and Sergio's departure. |
Mario hadn't planned on missing Mateo's visit. Larissa was still trying to wake him up. Mario was an extremely hard sleeper and hadn't waken up since this morning. Larissa blamed Mario's outlandish night habits. He stayed up so late, Avery and the others kept him in line. He would be glad to see them there.
|
Avery sat on the edge of the bed. "I've got this," he said to Larissa, smirking. She hesitated before leaving the room. She was sure he was going to leave her having to explain to Mateo what was keeping Mario.
He waited till she left before licking his lips and forcing a hard kiss upon Mario's lips. |
Mario opened his eyes, the sight of grey ones immediately told him it was Avery. After a long heated kiss Avery sat up and smirked. "I know how to wake you up."
"Well you are my best friend, I think you're used to it. Practically grew up together." "Larissa tried to wake you up to tell you Mateo was here." Mario sat up in bed nearly shoving Avery over. "mateo's here?!" He hurried to his dresser to start dressing. "It was just Juan. He found out about Sergio and Matao, so he took them with him." |
Mario froze, his pants halfway up his legs. This was both good news and bad.
It wasn't Mateo. He hadn't earned a bullet in his forehead for keeping the Caluroso waiting long. But it was Juan. And he had taken the brothers. "What are you going to do?" Avery asked. He was thankful he was not in his friend's position. Though, if Mateo were to find out and he was in the area, he could easily get killed without a thought. |
Mario sat on the bed and sighed. "Mateo's going to flip when he finds out." He patted the bed for Avery to sit with him. "Maybe it was by Mateo's orders that he came for them."
Avery shook his head. "I don't think that's the case. Juan was pretty upset." "Then I'm going to let them figure it out." Mario tried to laugh off the situation as if it was nothing. "I'm not the one who let his brother find out his darkest secret. If he comes by asking I'll tell him the truth. Juan came by for them. Nothing I could have done to keep him from them since he has a gun." |
Avery shoved Mario down before laying on his lower abdomen, his arms folded on his chest as he lay his head upon them to stare at him. "Juan thanked me."
Mario caressed his cheek. "I thank you too." The photographer knew to just do what a Caluroso said, rather than make a fuss. If there was going to be a conflict, it would be between them, not involving others. The youth smirked, his gray eyes flashing. "I like receiving my thank yous in other ways..." |
Juan searched through his call list to find Jade's number. He dialed it slowly half dreading talking to someone so mean.
Viento was the one to pull out Jade's phone from his back pocket. For the obvious reason of feeling him up. Once it was out he handed the phone to Jade to answer. "Hello?" "This is Juan." "Hello Juan! How are you?" Such a cruel person. "I just wanted to let you know that I have Matao and Sergio. Tell Viento and Fuego that they're with me." Sergio perked up at the name Fuego. "Fuego? Can I see him?" Juan nodded his head and patted Sergio's hand. He mouthed later. Jade smiled brightly. "That's great news! I'm glad everything worked out." "I'm going to talk to Mateo later. I wont mention that it was you who brought up Sergio and Matao. I'm certain he's going to figure it out though. So if he's mad at you, I'm sorry." Really Juan wouldn't be sorry, but he'd say it just the same. |
Jade was not bothered by the idea of Mateo being angry at him. He figured it would give the two a chance to talk things out. He still viewed him as a good friend. Confession and all. "Thank you, Juan," he said, and they ended the call.
"Juan has Matao and Sergio," he said, giving Viento a hug with relief. "Good, those little boys are going to be okay." Viento rubbed his back in return, sneaking in a sniff to smell his shampoo. The brunet nodded in return. "Should we head back?" "Sure." They held each others hands and walked. Despite their silence, they were saying a lot with their gentle caresses. Jade stopped suddenly, realizing he was missing something. "...where are Topaz and Hidrogeno?" ((Jade is VERY good about losing brothers. ^_^)) |
Viento stared long and hard at Jade. Where were they? "The last place I saw them was at the restraunt. You stood up and left, I went after you."
Jade ran through the options of where they could be. First place to look was the restraunt. "Let's go back to the restraunt and look there." He prayed his little brother hadn't run off, knowing Topaz, he had. Viento hurried with Jade to get a taxi to take them to the restraunt they had dinner. It was highly unlikely both boys were still there so many hours later. Although both knew they wouldn't be there, neither of them said anything about it until it was confirmed. |
