OOC: ok here goes nothing....I seem to remember he's by a shoreline, yes?...if that's wrong or anything just correct me and I'll fix stuffs lol...I still don't know much about Redeem...my RPs with Mouse have been fun but not too worldly...characters' more interested in checking each other out lol...

The soft lull and crash of the frothing tides as they washed over the shores in an endless cycle. It was comforting backdrop, the kind of melody that was known to put one's heart at ease and bring about deeper thought upon the instilled relaxation of soul and mind.

And so it was, as the light breeze teased at long silvery strands to lift them and toy them as a lover would play affectionately fingers of invisibility about the silken locks, that pupiless opalescent eyes stared outward from a pale face. The light reflecting upon the waves to create metallic glistening ebbs and flows did too reflect within the pearly depths of that gaze alongside the pastel shades of prism's spectrum. The woman drew in a breath long and slow, her rib cage expanding and then deflating as she exhaled a soundless sigh in her momentary solitude. There was only nature about her. The nature of this unknown realms.

The lady dropped her gaze from off the expanses of the great waters before her, instead focusing upon some randomly chosen spot near to her feet. There the mists swirled as always they did about her person. Thin whispy tendrils coiling like lazy serpents or morning mysteries as dew evaporated to fog in the early hours in that enchanting manner that made the imaginations of Men soar on golden wings through clear skies. Yet it was not the mists chasing about her ankles that held her attention for her gaze betrayed thoughts far distanced.

There were no others like her here...not exactly as she was. She had known this beyond doubt the moment the visions had come. The gentle encouragement and pull she had decided could only be The Platinum God, Himself, in wordless whisper. There were no others like her here...and perhaps that was why she was here now. She was not certain, but indeed curious. There was no fear in her mind or soul for being in this foreign land. Too oft she'd always felt apart for the world around her. So aching to belong...to fit in, and never being allowed. Always on the outskirts...the edge of such sweetness...a fox whom longed for the grapes dangling just beyond leap's height. With mouth salivating in need for that which was shown but not allowed to caress and savor.

The woman blinked, swallowing as she reached up one delicate hand to tuck stray strands of silver tresses behind elegantly tapered, long pointed ears. An elven maiden by all looks, slight of build and short with pale skin, long hair like silk, high cheeks and pointed ears. She wore a violet cloak wrapped about her petite person so entirely that all that peeked forth were her hands and head...and ankles...within the swirling mists. Bare, and floating an inch above the ground. An elf by all looks, yet something about her very pressence bespoke of a power far greater than any mere maiden should hold.

OOC: yeah he lives at Seagate. :3

He came riding down the beech on an large, well bred horse, an great black charger that looked as ready to be decked in heavy plate as it was to make a quick pace through the tiring sand.
The man riding it shared a few traits in common with the powerful animal, broad and strong in build, his white streaked hair tied back at the nape of his neck.
He was well dressed, though there was a certain functionality about what he was wearing, heavy riding boots and a thick shirt and cloak to ward off chill rolling in off the sea, and instead of a crown, he wore an circlet, less prone to loss.
This was the king of Seagate, who looked ordinary enough...unless perhaps you looked a little more closely at the tattoos spiraling down the right side of his face, vanishing into his shirt, which seemed to flicker intermittently like the sight of a candle through smoke blacked glass, and perhaps his eyes. One of which was brown, and the other, the same color of the ocean, flecked with silver.
He pulled back on the reins slightly as he caught sight of her, slowing the horses pace to a trot as they approached, making the beast toss it's head, impatient, not as curious about this mist shrouded woman as it's rider, who, also in slowing, waited for some of his escort to arrive.
Death might have been closed to him for quite some time, but things had changed, old enchantments broken, and now the closest he had to immortality was whatever legends might pass on in his wake.
"Are you well, Lady?" he called out, as they approached, uncertain.

Did not seemed harmed at all by the chill of the tempered air coming in from off the seas. It billowed her cloak, teasing it about but the woman made no notion of feeling chilled. Though perhaps one might mistake the way she clutched at its collar as a maiden cooled.

Her long ears picked up on the soft thunder growing ever in volume and tempo that betrayed the approach of another being. Instantly her gaze took on focus as she blinked, head swiveling to the side as she watched the figure grow larger. Opal optics gazed over the magnificent steed with its regal barding. Her pupiless gaze then filtered to the man atop it. She noted the circlet almost immediately and gave a slight tilt to her head.

This stranger, too, was crowned with a circlet. The designs, if one could take a closer inspection, were of two dragonlike figures facing one another, paws outstretched, a rose vine trailing down from a moon clasped in their claws. As the maiden released her cloak to instead fold her delicate, thin fingers together before her belly, the clasp of the violet fabric, too could be seen. A second depiction of two dragons wrapped about a pearl serving to represent the full moon. Her silver hair waved in the wind as she offered a curious and polite smile to the man as he drew his mount in close and spoke up.

"Quite well, I assure, m'lord," came the lilting voice so sweet and tender yet full of elegant power of presence. "I thank you kindly for asking. There is only one problem I can admit to having."

The maiden turned, her hips pivoting beneath the shroud of her cape as she paced a step closer to this man, her eyes glancing helplessly to the glittering tattoos and then back to his dual-hued optics with a hesitant grin on fair lips. "I know not where it is I stand nor whom I've the acquaintance--" here her eyes turned to look towards the approach of others? An entourage? Knight or lord was he? and back...--"of so graciously...?"

Her lack of pupils gave him pause, patting the side of the horses neck as he considered the strange woman. Dragons, everything about her was themed with dragons. What was the reason to that, he wondered. No more than an flight of fancy and taste, was the hope, given his last brush with a dragon. An giant red she-dragon who had done her best to tear him open and cook him in his armor for the terrible deed of asking that she not -eat- his people.
"We suffer the same then, for I don't know you either, M'lady." He answered, as the horse pawed the sand. "But thats an easy enough ailment to cure. My name is Robert Pendryg of Seagate, King in the North. Who do I have the pleasure of addressing?"

The woman caught the way the male seemed to glance towards her jewelry. She gave no real reaction to it, after all she wore elegant accessories. And her otherwise violet cloak, though velvetine was simple in design. In truth, she was simply glad he did not react adverse to her appearance. Alas how many had!

A slight frown touched her lips as a flicker of emotion danced for the most brief of moments over her opalescent eyes. Sorrow. And longing.

Though as the man spoke, the emotions were dashed aside to succumb to that polite and warm smile once more. Silver brows, feathery as they were, lifted on high to the proclamation. A king!

The woman dipped into a curtsy, bowing her head as she spread her hands wide. "It is my honor, Robert Pendryg, Good Northern King," the maiden returned. Her smile was even warmer as her head lifted once again. "I must presume then that I am in Seagate, or near her borders to witness the King before my eyes!" A merry little giggle tittered from her fair lips before she inclined her head, folding her hands before her stomach once again.

"Ah...I am called a number of things, but many choose 'Lady Lea'," Lea announced.

"Seagate itself is there." He answered, nodding in the direction of the cliffs, where some distance off, an jut of rock rose from the sea like an ocean carved tower, separate from the mainland, though, in the glitter of the sun, an glimpse or two of an bridge connected the 'island' to the mainland. And on that fortified spit of land perched an castle. "But yes, My lady, we are in my kingdom."
Lea then, interesting name, and an interesting look for a moment, and he wondered what brought that flash of tragedy to her strange eyes...though he investigated another line of thought.
"And what brings you to my Kingdom, Lady Lea?"

Lea's gaze followed the direction in which he gestured, silver brows lifting with interest. She watched the play of the seas against the cliffs before letting her opalescent eyes traverse the distanced castle. "Perhaps I am more blind than I thought," she teased herself, speaking below her breath with a soft chuckle. Ah, what age could do to one....

The woman shook her head slightly before looking back to the King with a soft smile and an arch to one elegant brow. "I do pray I am not intruding," the gentlewoman spoke, searching his features once again. "I cannot tell you any exact reason why I have come." Before he could grow suspicious though, Lea spread her hands, palms forwards, in a placating gesture. "Destiny....an urging by higher powers...a spiritual venture, you may call it many things or disbelieve me entirely, good king. I have come to your kingdom, King Pendryg, because this is where I am. Before, I was within the Forest Of Silverfrosts...and now I am here before you, and your magnificent steed. In a land I do not know, but I must admit I feel a strange sense of..." The woman paused as if searching for the proper word she was looking for as her eyes wandered the landscape, the seas, and then came back to him. "Purpose."

"The sea is distracting, lady. She's a far more powerful sight than a castle, and will certainly outlast it."
This woman was definitely curious, but his own arrival in another world hadn't been much different, brushed aside by a powerful being he'd been in combat with, he'd arrived as, at best, a knight, and become a king in time.
"Destiny and I have words with each other in passing." he joked, as a few other riders approached. His enterage, waiting to see what to make of this meeting. "But if she has such a personal interest in me, I'm not aware of it. Although I wonder at the nature of this purpose, lady, since I don't know you well, but if you mean me and mine no harm, then no, you do not intrude."

"That would all depend on one's love for the sea, the vastness and closeness of it, and the castle in question, my good king," Lea countered easily with a soft grin gracing her fair lips. "For there are castles of Gods whose beauty is sang about in song of legendary bards known to be but a trivial attempt at mortal reckoning of the truth of the majesty to be witnessed upon actual sight of the houses of Deities and their sprawling palaces. I would like to think that some might capture even my breath." She winked lightly with a merry little chuckle before nodding her head in acknowledgment. "Though, aye, the sea can distract. I must admit, though, that I had hardly been scanning too thoroughly. A shame on myself and no other's fault."

Lady Lea chuckled at his joke, arching a curious brow as her lips pursed into a bemused grin. "Destiny has laid a long and tragic past behind me, I would enjoy thinking that perhaps She has taken at last to shedding light on Her reasons," she returned with a deep breath of which she released in a sigh. "Still, who would be the heroes and legends of the world if they did not face Destiny and Fate intertwined, yes?"

Her eyes turned to the others as she offered them a pleasant enough smile. A shocked expression came to her beautiful features as Pendryg spoke of meaning him harm. Opalescent eyes widened as she put her hands atop her bossom. "Heaven's sakes! Oh, no, good king! I mean no one harm unless they force it upon me first or have naught but evil in their souls!"

"If M'lady Lea has seen such troubles as she said, I'm sure she can see where I might find a face quite comely, but still distrust it." He answered back, unmoved to guilt by her expression. "And I'm afraid I put little stock in legends as more than something to warm my heart with as I warm my hands by a fire. I'd sooner take an hundred common men than one well sung tale. I've found most Heroes do not come to be without the aid of these men, but perhaps I'm old and time has made me cynical."
He said this with a wry smile that looked older than his face, since he scarcely looked out of his twenties, though his expressions and manners had the weight of an older, more thoughtful man, and his young face clashed drastically with the white in his hair.
She was quite a puzzle, this woman, with her strange eyes and roundabout way of speaking, leaving him only half sure if she'd actually answered some of his questions, and it left him wondering if he should let her be or invite her to ride back, as lord knew the sea shore wasn't the safest place for any vulnerable woman.
If amoung the least of the threats, there were Selkies at the least, who might drive her to distraction in a well intentioned game.

There was no hurt in her features at his words. Instead they did blink and flicker with a light of thoughtfulness for a brief moment. Opal eyes studied his features, and moreso his eyes. "Then the good king is also a wise king. Some with comely faces are not to be trusted and some with hideous faces can be the kindest of souls. Truth is to never judge by a cover of a book but to wisely exam its many pages to decided upon whether it is a good reading or not. And even if it turns out to be worse for the wear, there may be knowledge to be had for the experience gained, yes?" she offered in counter with an arch to one silver brow and a wry grin of her own. Though she appeared beautiful and young as all elves did, there was a wisdom of age in her pupiless gaze that could not be denied. "And if I might offer an opinion, my good king, I believe many of those men you speak are indeed the truest of heroes. Whether bards may sing of their deeds or not."

She looked once more over his entourage as if weighing them each with her gaze in comparison. Lea knew well the tragedies of having others judge you solely upon looks and not reach deeper into knowing your true self. She knew it all too well. As well as she understood how many gave their lives in heroic causes and had the most noble of hearts but had lived a life to leave their names unsung to the trials of time. She knew...she understood. A paign passed through her heartstrings again. She would only have to pray that should things come to it, this king whom was presented before her was wise to stick to his words and judge with more than simply his eyes. Should it come to that.

"I do not know of my grand purpose or if even there is one to be had, King Pendryg," she whispered, going back to his previous question. "It is not clearly spoken or written before me in stone. But I know I am here and as such, I will do my best to do what I must." She twitched a wry grin, shrugging. "I must presume it has something to do with the fact I sense no others like myself here in these foreign lands."

"You speak well lady, though I find you also to be somewhat harder to pry a secret from than an cat." He admitted. "Since I still cannot say with certainty that I know why you are here, or if your intentions don't include harm, what they -are-."

Lea could not help but chuckle as she spread her hands in a placating gesture. Yes well...if he only understood. Secrets had become her protection. Too long had she worn them even more as a mantle than the violet cloak she now shrouded herself with at this very moment.

She shifted her weight ever so slightly, feeling the comfortable press against her left hip. The invisible sanctuary of the one that had truly seen her for whom she was...the only one that had thus not attacked her in fear...the only one that had touched her heart and then..died to save her.

Lea swallowed as she took a deep breath. "I am sorry, good king. But there are some secrets better kept for now. I pray you understand me. But all good things are revealed when the time is right," she whispered, that sorrow and pain coming back into her eyes. She longed to tell him...to tell the truth...but then again...with age came wisdom..and a certain degree of jading. "Perhaps it is that you are not the only one that has been...marred by the trials of time. Though, if there is a way that I might prove to the good king of my intentions being just and of a truth not harmful to he and his, then let him speak it now."

"Time will do as much, more than words or actions. I think we're both old enough to recognize the dangers in relying on other, more uncertain methods." he noted, considering her carefully. Secrets themselves were not inherantly dangerous, most kept secrets, even Seifer, who he trusted almost implicitly, even himself, but some secrets were. The difficulty was in identifying which secrets were so dangerous that they needed to be routed out and explained.
"Are you familiar at all with the city, Lady Lea?" Weather he trusted her or not, he felt obliged to see her to the city, and to see that she found someplace to bed, although as Seifer, who plodded closer on an large gunpowder colored mare, would have pointed out, it was impossible to take in every stray.
Seifer was a slightly taller man than the king, if considerably less striking in appearance. His hair was ashy brown, and his eyes a very subtle mossy green. His clothing functional and stark, like the gray wolf cloak around his shoulders. His only decoration was a clasp in the shape of a lions head that held the cape in place.
Still, though he was clearly no noble, there was something about him that seemed powerful. Something about both of them, like the king and his one sea colored eye, this man had a strange quality about him that was reminiscent of something familiar and intangible.

"Indeed," she agreed with a nod of agreeance. "And so I shall pray that time will do so here." Her opalescent gaze searched over his two-colored optics before switching to take in the appearance of the one whom rode forward. He seemed to have an air of presence about him though his looks put him as no regal knight of decorated state. Yet Lea was wise enough to understand that some of the most powerful of individuals were clothed in dirtied garbs. From one glance he seemed a man that went for utilitarian over elegance.

"I am only familiar with what you have spoken to me, Gentle King," she spoke calmly, folding her hands once more. "I have only arrived in these lands but for a short time. And have remained upon this beach until it was that you came upon me."

"I can ride with her to the town, Robert." Seifer noted, his voice quiet. "If the lady would prefer an escort, since I do not think she would favor spending the night out in the weather. The nights get cold so close to the sea, and there are predators about."

"What do you say, Lady?" Pendryg offered, nodding to the man beside him, indicating the offer that had been made. "There may be storms rolling in from the sea besides."

The woman tilt her head as she glanced to the other man once more. The fact he spoke so informally to the king did not allude her. A slight smile came to her fair lips. The cold and predators did not frighten her...hardly at all. But, if she could avoid them, then it was just as well in any case.

She dipped into a curtsy once more, bowing her head. "I say your offer is all too kind and I would be but a fool to deny it," Lea returned. "I would be utmost glad to be lead to the town proper."

The two that rode here, of course, would have no idea that the woman was anything more than she seemed, frail and elvish, and a very poor match for, say, a pack of starved wolves driven out to find easier prey. Or even some of the more supernatural creatures that lurked in the world. Redeem was not entirely a place of soft edged fairy tales and gentle endings.
"If you'll take it then, lady." The second man offered, Seifer, his name was, "Then I've a place on my saddle for you. It will make for a quicker ride." He extended one hand, rough from labor, traced with faint scars and slightly dirty. He smelled like forests and smoke, and wild places.

Lea chuckled in a rather girlish fashion as she smiled to the gentleman. She gave a bowed nod of her head. "That would be most lovely, so long as I do not burden you or your horse," she returned. The woman was a sprite of a thing, not even a hundred pounds though her presence bespoke of hidden power.

As Seifer extended his hand, she paced over towards him. The mists about her ankles swirled and snaked about, trailing out behind her like a diaphonous gown disappating into the winds. She lifted a dainty hand, pale with delicate fingers to settle onto his rough textured digits. She wore a ring upon her right ring finger. Unlike the dragons decorating her other jewelry this one had a simple moonstone ringed by golden crescent moons and two large elvish leaves forming the edges of the band. The lady's skin seemed so untouched compared to his worked hand.

Lea drew in a breath to that slight touch. Her sensitive fingers felt all the scratches and creases of weathered flesh beneath them. A thrill ran along her spine as she tried not to tremble. No one touched her...no one ever drew close...she was not accustomed to even such a simple thing...it was so..foreign. And his scent....her senses were not as keen in this guise but they were sharper than the usual human. And to her..he smelt quite lovely...a man of the forests. Her opalescent eyes lifted to search his with a slight quirk to her brow. "A ranger...?" she whispered with a curious and pleasently soft smile.

Lea stepped up, walking right up the air as if there were invisible stairs. The misty tendrils slipped away from her person as she settled into the saddle as Seifer would guide her.

Damned curious, those mists, that was a shared thought at least as Seifer helped her onto the saddle. He smiled faintly as she settled down, her question left hanging for a moment or two. Close up under his jaw there's a dark scar also, hard to see unless he raises his chin, which he doesn't seem inclined to do, perhaps too aware of it's presence.
"Yes, Lady, I am." He answered finally, as the horse shifted it's feet, glancing out to sea at some sound over the waves. It had been nearly as long since he'd held a womans hand, though his own reasons were far different. The last woman he'd been so intimate with had been his wife, dead for longer than many could remember.
Both men exchanged quick glances at her display of power, though Pendryg held his toungue.
"And You lady?" Seifer asked. "A spell caster?"

Shifted in the saddle to glance over her shoulder at her escort. He seemed a quiet sort...how often those rangers seemed to be. Lea offered him a warm, kind smile. She'd always found rangers to be an intriguing sort. One of the professions she could somewhat sympathize with. Often prone to solitude and taking comfort in nature and the peace it could bring where others misunderstood. The woman chuckled. "A noble walk of life," she inturned sweetly to the man.

At his question, she giggled and bowed her head, spreading her hands, palms up with a nod. "Aye...I have always been close to magic and it a part of me. I have spent many of my years studying its arts."

"Less so much with the Noble, more with the walking." He joked, earing an roll of the eyes from the King. "Shall we part ways? I'll take the lady to town, we can meet later." He offered.
"If you want." Pendryg shrugged faintly, apparently leaving the issue to Seifers judgment. "What does the lady say to it?"
"Ask the Lady." He joked back, grinning wolfishly. "This place is full of magic, Lady." He shrugged, though curious. "Perhaps you'll tell me what sorts you do."

Lea chuckled merrily at the comment, her opalescent eyes sparkling like gems caught in a light with a twinkle of mischief. "Yes, well we do all have our priorities, don't we now?" she teased easily, giving Seifer a wink. "And walking can be most grand. It not only can keep one fit but build strength in legs and offer so very many paths to open before us with a better confidence to take them in exploration."

The maiden chuckled once more in a merry little bubbling giggle at the playful chiding bouncing back and forth between the two men. She supposed them close friends and comrades for the casual teasing and manner in which they spoke to one another in general from what she had seen. It was pleasant and heart-warming to behold. The woman could not help but smile at them. She shook her head, lifting one hand to cover her lips as she giggled.

"The lady," Lea began with a helpless little snicker, "says that the schedules of the good king and his ranger man are hardly up to the decision of their maiden guest. I would believe it is all up to you and yours." She smiled at Pendryg before looking to Seifer in turn. "I trust my company and trust myself in it. Do as you must. Anything you offer is a gracious gift that I cherish utmost and humbly accept as such."

Lea smiled in a courteous manner as she finished though the expression turned to one more of girlish joy once again as Seifer asked about her magics. "Truly is it now? I would very much love to explore such things. To feel the energies of magic all around and enjoy long hours of study!" She sighed at the thought with a soft smile. Her grin was lop-sided then as she searched the man's gruff features with her delicate own. "Ah, I would be glad to talk of it and explain the Arts that I know. But, too, my good man it would all depend on how long I have your ear as I do know if allowed to speak I may have the tendacy for longwindedness for it has been what seems forever since anyone took kindly to delight me in such a lovely conversation in sharing." Lea giggled and shrugged, tilting her head. Some of her silver, silken strands of hair fell to hide her beautiful, pupiless orbs. "Then, there are some things best shown instead of spoken of."

"Ah but there is an certain amount of respect that must be afforded to a lady in an civilized society." Pendryg noted, though he moved to stir his horse back into impatient movement. "And sometimes thats all we have. Seifer, make sure she's settled and comfortable before you join us."

"Of course." Seifer noted, seriously, to Pendryg, nudging his own horse lightly with his heel as the party splits, maybe slightly red at the implications of intimacy.
"Noble a profession or not, sometimes you get to miss conversation." He admitted. "And these days I try and make more of a habit of being visible on a somewhat regular basis, since I had my nose rubbed in exactly how easily I could go missing and have no one notice, or rather, how very few would, and how hard I would be to find."
A wry smile at this admission, as the horse trots down the beach, keeping a more sedate pace for the sake of it's rider and his guest. "But I'm talking in circles and riddles and things a lady shouldn't care for. Tell me about these studies of yours. How does a lady who seems to find such interest in the wild places come to shut herself up with books and magic?"

"Depending on the society, I would agree. Though, good king, is there not a certain greater degree that should be shown to one of your position and rank?" Lea returned easily with a polite smile. The playfulness of her kindly teasing sparkled in her eyes though her cheeks rosied with the respect she was being shown and her gratefulness for it. The woman gave the king a nod of courteousness as well as respect as the ranger guided them away in parting.

It took her a moment or two to try to learn the rhythmn of the horse. Lea did not often ride...in truth rather she was not prone to it all. She found herself tucking closer to Seifer and blushing that it showed her inexperience. She understood balance though and the movements of bipedals and quadropeds alike, and for that, it at least did help in part for her to slowly catch on just how so to sit and post proper to the gait of the mount.

"Mmmm....I am oft to missing conversation from the very first time I was at last offered it and learned just what it was that I had to be missing," Lady Lea admit with a soft pout to her pretty lips. Her opalescent gaze found its way to searching out his eyes as he spoke on. Her silver brows lifted slightly as she listened with interest to his words, trying to decipher the riddles of their meanings. "That is most terrible....to have few that would miss one when one is gone..." In the way that the woman whispered the words, it was undeniable that it was with a great degree of empathic understanding in which she spoke. Whom would miss Lelandarnofeliascion when at last The Twilight called? None....there were none in her life to miss her when at last the days came that she faded from this world in hopes to find her spirit a place amongst the Platinum King's Palace...Lea found herself shivering despite the lack of a feeling to the cold around her. The woman swallowed and gave a heavy-hearted sigh.

"You speak in riddles and circles no more so than sometimes do I, it seems, goodly ranger. And you speak of things this lady may care for more than you might presume." Her smile was soft and tragic though it found some degree of sparkle with a hint of wryness as he continued. "Because it was either the wild places devoid of others in nature or the seclusion of solitary study that would welcome this lady when all others would not out of fear and judgement of appearance instead of understanding what lay beneath the shell of the exterior."
