Nisa sat quietly at the table still hidden behind her hand for the first moments of the performance, eventually dropping her hand back down to the table. She never knew that Cain knew how to play any instruments; Then again she didn't know a whole lot about him and the things he liked to do. Though the same could be said for her, what all did he really know about her? She smiled softly listening to the music. This way the first time she'd ever heard jazz up close and personal, it was quite an experience.

Jiro rolled over onto his back, still laying on his couch. He stared up at the ceiling for awhile after brushing his black hair from his face. He gave a heavy sigh "Was anything that happened last night real?" He paused and sat up on the couch leaning back. He was thinking about how nice things were the night before with Naio and how suddenly she changed her tune. He pushed himself up off the couch and made his way over to the french doors that lead to the balcony. He unlocked them and pushed them open wide and stepped outside into the crisp air and light of the moon. Then walked up to the fence lining the balcony and leaned down on it looking out over the towns skyline. "...Or was it all a ruse to cover our little white lie to Nisa?"

Naio returned home sitting on the swing kicking her leg not looking up as the kids ran around her to get to the slide and what not. She didn't like the clod way Jiro had treeted her when they left. She had still yet to see why he had acted that way. She played with her hair a little just messing with the ends thinking the day over and the night before. The way he talked to her the way he held her it had been so nice but she knew that was only last night. She sighed and bit her lip...

After two song Cain stood up and half bowed to the band before setting his instament down and headed bac over to the table just as thier drinks got there. He smiled "Here we are... you enjoy the band?" He asked smirking acting as if he had not been up there. He touched her hand and smiled kissing it lightly.

Nisa looked up when Cain finally came back to the table. She was surprised that he had remembered to order drinks considering he was on his way to play with the band. She blushed softly when he kissed her hand, no matter how often he did that her cheeks still turned pink. She smiled "Yes, actually I did" She paused with a smirk "Ya' know I really liked that guy with the sax. He was kind of cute" She stated trying not to smile too much, she was trying to act as if Cain had not been on stage playing along with the band.

Jiro leaned down more, his chin nearly touching the metal fence that kept him from falling over the edge of the balcony. "...I just don't know anymore..." He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Maybe I should let things just go back to the way they were before..." He paused shifting his glance to focus on a few people walking on the streets below him. More so he watched a couple that was passing by and he sighed again. "Maybe I'll just go back to messing around with random girls, sure is better then worrying over one who..." His thought trailed off when he saw the couple below start making out. He brought his glance back up to the skyline. "..."

00--- Meanwhile ---00

Kano had since left the small house once Suzu fell asleep again, on his way back into the town. He planned on taking care of the job Suzu had given him before she woke up again, the last thing he wanted was to get yelled at for taking his time with it. It took him several passes through the town to pick up on the young man's scent but he finally had. He moved so fast and didn't stay in one spot too long, which made it very hard to pick up his own scent. Upon reaching the apartments where he smelt Jiro he stopped at the very top looking down at the man leaned over the fence. His hands were still in his pockets as he stood staring down at Jiro with his piercing eyes. He listened quietly to the last thing the young man said and smirked "Or you could just get with a woman who wants you..." He stated in a cold emotionless tone.

Cain smirked hearing her reaction but then sighed shaking his head "I might just have to fight him for you, on my way back I kept seeing him eying you..."He joked back and kept a hold of her hand. This was so odd right now every thing seemed to normal nothing seemed out of place. He wasn't a vampire and no one was after Nisa every thing was right in the world.


Naio thought it over remmbring the fight they had had before leaving and bit her lip hard a line of blood falling down her lip. She knew it was her foult she knew he was upset with her, but she didn't know how to make it right. She had always been alone and never good with others.

Nisa laughed softly "But there's no reason to fight over me" She smirked "I'm sure there's enough of me to go around"

Jiro didn't appear to be shocked by the other males voice, at least he wasn't showing it. He stood up straight and spun around on the balcony and rested arms and back against the railing this time. He looked up to see Kano and sighed "...And who might I ask is that?" He asked in an annoyed tone. Jiro was more upset that Kano was ease dropping rather then the fact that he was there.

Kano smirked and stepped off the ledge of the roof and landed firmly on the balcony in front of the french doors. He removed a hand from his pocket and pointed to the scar on Jiro's face "The woman who gave you that of course" He then placed his hand back into his pocket and shrugged. "At least Lady Suzu wouldn't play with your emotions unlike someone else I know" He paused, his face went back to it's emotionless state. "Seriously though, she wants to talk to you. I was ordered to come invite you to see her..." He sighed "Or take you by force. It's up to you"

Jiro stood up straight and quirked a brow "What do you mean by talk?" He wasn't exactly sure if he trusted anything that came out of Kano's mouth, but there must be some truth to it because he had not attacked him yet; Which he was fully prepared to defend himself if need be.

Kano laughed softly "What you don't understand the word 'talk' anymore?" He stepped a little closer to Jiro and took his hand from his pocket and touched the scar on Jiro's face with his index finger. "Like I said, Lady Suzu just wants to talk to you. So are you going to come peacefully or do I have to hurt you?"

Cain shook his head "No there is only enough of you for me... any man trys and touch you his hand is mine..."He said and kissed hers lightly his eyes meeting hers letting her know that he truely ment it when he said he loved her.

"Oh my little girl are you ok?" Came a voice of a older lady looked to be in her mid 40's.

Naio looked up and blushed as the older lady wiped some blood off her lip and chin. "Yes... I am... but I lost..."She saw about to say her parents to get the woman to come look for them but sighed seeing her child come up and looked down once more.

"Hunny what did you lose?"She asked looking worried but stood up as Naio did.

"Its nothing i should be going now thank you mame..." She said and moved from the swing and moved to leave the parck. As she walked home she felt her cheek sting from a tight touch.

Nisa blushed hearing what Cain said, more so when his eyes made contact with hers. "Don't worry you're the only one I've ever let get that close to me..." She'd never been graced with such feelings before, especially from someone else; So she had not ever planned on throwing them away for someone else.

Jiro lifted his hand quickly and swatted Kano's hand away from his face. "...How long is this 'talk' going to take exactly?" He asked his eyes narrowing at the male vampire before him.

Kano slipped his hand back into his pocket when Jiro swatted at him. "It shouldn't be too long, but it depends on what Lady Suzu wants to talk to you about" He stated bluntly as he moved back over to the french doors and jumped up to the roof. "Come on now, lets not keep her waiting"

Jiro sighed and followed Kano up to the roof shaking his head softly 'how'd he know I was going to agree to this..' He thought to himself as he started to follow after Kano as they headed back to the small house where Suzu was.

Cain smiled brightly and moved to sip at his drink the luquid not filling him as it should. He wanted more but he wouldn't show his hunger while he was with his love. "How do you like it here?" He asked and titled his head to one side looking in to her eyes still.

Nisa had forgot about the drinks they had and felt silly remembering them when she saw him drink some of drink. She smiled softly and reached for her drink, pulling it closer to her and then taking a sip from the glass. She looked up at him when he asked her a question, she smiled again "It's nice, nothing like what I expected" It was true, she had not expected this club to be so inviting. Then the fact that Cain played here with the band just blew her mind; She really didn't expect that. "So, since I didn't know this about you; How long have you been playing here?"

Kano had lead Jiro through the town to the outskirts where the small house was that he and Suzu used. Of course avoiding high traffic areas the whole way; As to make it less noticeable that Jiro was traveling with him. Once they reached the porch of the small house Kano stopped and turned to Jiro narrowing his eyes "Let me warn you now; You better not do or say anything to upset Lady Suzu, or you will not leave here alive" He muttered reaching to open the door so they could enter.

Just as Kano went to open the door Suzu had pulled it open with a grin painted on her face "Oh Jiro! How nice of you to come see me!" Her voice actually sounded happy and she didn't seem as hell bent on hurting people. She stepped out onto the porch and grabbed hold of Jiro's hand and started to pull him into the house "Come on, come inside" She said smiling. Suzu pulled him into the living area and signaled for Kano to shut the door behind them. Of course he followed his order and entered the house closing the door. Suzu dropped Jiro's hand and smiled again as she started to walk back to the master bedroom "Follow me, Jiro" She stated, it sounded more like an order then anything.

Jiro reluctantly let Suzu pull him into the house. He looked down at her when she stopped and had Kano shut the door. Before he could say a word she had already made her way to the back bedroom. He quirked a brow and just stood in the living area for a few moments before Kano thrust his hands to Jiro's back and started to push him; telling him to hurry up and get in the room. Jiro stumbled forward a few steps "I'm going, I'm going..." He muttered glaring back at Kano who shoved him. He sighed heavily and continued on into the bedroom.

As soon as he was clear of the door Suzu slammed the door shut behind him, then walked up to him and shoved him down onto the ground. As soon as he fell she sat down on his chest and ripped his shirt open to look at his shoulders. She smirked running her clawed finger gently over his skin, where there should've been holes. "So you are a natural born vampire..." She paused and smiled down at him. "It didn't take long for your body to heal, what twelve hours tops?" She asked then moved her hand up to his cheek and touched the scar softly "But the vampire in you can't heal this... how sad..." She mumbled making a pouty face.

Jiro just laid there on the ground staring up at Suzu. Every so often he'd try to push her and get up and she'd force him back down. He could forcefully get up but knew Kano would be in the room in an instant. He took a deep breath and exhaled, he knew better then to try and fight here and now; He'd lose. When Suzu ripped his shirt he glared at her getting flash backs to when she hurt him. "...get off..." He was slowly starting to regret letting Kano talk him into this.

Cain smiled "I am glad you like it..."He said and set his drink down looking around the bar. "Lets see about two years even before going to this school..." He said and turned to her. "Thats who I started going here a few boys came in and where talking about the classes and such..."He said and smirked. "I needed something to do at night.." He said and smiled lightly.

Naio had just gotten back to her room when her eyes went wide as she was flung on to the floor.she was on her back. This was not good something was happening to Jiro and she had to find out what she got up and went to her door but thought of what she had felt. The cheek and the floor. She blushed thinking about him with a grield and growled slamming her door flinging her self on the bed.

"So you come here every night?" She asked after setting her own drink down. "At night if this is what you're doing all the time where do I come in?" She smirked "Or do I only get to see you during the day?" She smiled softly running her finger around the rim of her glass.

Suzu looked down at Jiro and smiled "I'm sorry Jiro but you can't tell me what to do" She ran her finger across the "x" marked scar a little harder watching him wince. "Ah... So you can still feel that" She smirked leaning forward and gently kissing the scar as if trying to make it all better. She slowly brought herself back up, still wearing a pleasant smile. "I'm glad that you came Jiro, I would've hated to have had Kano bring you back to me all hurt"

Jiro tried to move his head when she leaned in to kiss him but she held his head still. He sighed heavily and looked away when she started talking again "Yeah well, I wish I hadn't come. Kano told me you wanted to talk and that was it..." He finally grew tired of sitting there and doing nothing. He lifted his arms up and pushed Suzu off him with enough force that she flew across the room and against the wall. He then stood up and dusted himself off "If you don't mind I think we're done here and I'm going to return home" He stated and started to walk towards the door.

Suzu's back smacked into the wall and she heard Kano head for the door "Kano, stay out there. I'm fine" She muttered getting up off the floor and adjusting her dress. As soon as she heard what Jiro said and saw him heading for the door she rushed over grabbing his arm and digging her claws into it. "You can't go yet!" She nearly cried as if what he was doing was hurting her. "You have to stay with me..." She mumbled tightening her grip on his arm causing him to bleed slightly.

Jiro winced when she dug her claws into his forearm. He took his other hand and grabbed hold of hers and began to pull her hand away from him; Which was causing her to scratch him. "Suzu I'm not your property, I can leave when ever I damn well please" He growled lightly and shoved her away once her clawed hand was removed from him completely.

Suzu glared at him when he said that and lowered her hands to her sides. She looked beaten, but walked over to her dresser and looked a few bottles of different concoctions. She picked up one or two and then set them down and finally decided on one. She held it tightly in her hand and returned to stand in front of Jiro. She proceeded to knock him down again, pinning him to floor tightly she sat on his chest yet again. She extended one of her claws and reached down digging it into the healing scar and forced it open again. It started to bleed a little and she smirked forcing his head in place while she cracked open the bottle and let it drip down into his freshly opened wound. She smirked as it fizzled a the liquid she dropped into it seeped in and then the wound sealed up quickly. "There" She stated with a grin as she stood back up and moved away from him.

Jiro reached up and immediately held his hand to his face as soon as she moved. He hissed and sat up growling "What the hell was that?!" He rubbed his hand to his cheek trying to get the heated feeling to go away. "It burns!" He spat angrily.

Suzu smirked and tossed the broken bottle in the trash can as she slowly walked back towards the door making sure to keep a slight distance from Jiro. She pulled the door open and nodded to Kano. She smiled softly and stepped away from the door. "It's not much, just a potion I created with the aid of my sister" She rested her back against the wall and waited for him to get up "You can leave now, but I forewarn you Jiro..." She paused grinning nearly ear to ear. "You won't be able to be with any other girl but me now. If you try to, your body will reject what you're doing and you'll die" She turned and looked out the door way to Kano and nodded again "You can throw him outside now, he'll come back eventually on his own terms" She smiled and waited for Kano.

Kano nodded and walked into the room and grabbed Jiro by the shirt collar and pulled him up. "Come on lets go" He muttered as Jiro stumbled to his feet. He then pushed Jiro all the way to the front door and pushed him outside "I'm sure you can find your own way home" He stated and slammed the door shut.

Jiro fell to the ground when Kano shoved him out the front door and took a few minutes getting to his feet. He didn't want to believe what Suzu said, but could she be telling the truth? He didn't want to find out, at least not at the cost of death. He grumbled and started to head home, leaving Suzu and Kano alone; He was in no shape to take them on by himself.

"Yes almost every night its my Job i have to get the cash from some where..." He said and smirked. He had allot of cash saved up from living this long yes but he also needed to show that he had done something to ear his cash not just inherited it that was so old fashioned. "Where do you fit in... right here with me... when you wish to that is..."


Naio laid in her bed almost half asleep when her arm begain to sting like some one ad bug their nails in to her fore arm. She hissed out jumping up on her knees griping it but saw nothing was there. "Jrio....' She wisspred and was thrown back down to the bed."Ahhh!"She yelled out her face feeling as if hot "No Jiro!"She called jumping from the bed and running to her door. She knew something was wrong and she would find out.

Nisa smiled over at him just before taking another sip of her drink. "How easy is it for you to take a night off, ya' know just in case I'd rather spend time with you somewhere other then here?" She set her glass back down on the table and looked at him for a moment. She couldn't help feeling like she was asking too many questions and sighed softly.

Jiro took to the outskirts of town the whole way home. It was slightly longer but it would keep him out of sight and he wouldn't chance running into any of the others. He walked part of the way and then decided to run to back to his apartment in a timely manor. It took him a about ten minutes to finally get to his apartment. He stood outside the building; Staring up at his balcony. He sighed heavily and placed his hand over his forearm where Suzu had dug her claws in; It still hurt and now he'd have claw marks across his arm at least until his body was able to heal the wounds completely. He headed inside and straight to the elevator; hitting the button and waiting for the lift to his hall. Once the elevator arrived he got inside and hit the button that took him to the tenth floor. He stumbled out of the elevator and down the hall to his apartment, unlocked the door and headed inside.

Shutting the door behind him he looked over at himself in the mirror he kept by the door. "...Great... Another shirt ruined.." He muttered under his breath as he continued to rip it off the rest of the way rather then unbutton it. He walked over to the couch and tossed the torn up shirt on the back of it. He stretched his arms over his head, popping his shoulders in the process. His eyes trailed over the scratches in his arm, he rubbed them lightly with his hand. He winced a little and then rose his hand to his face and touched the scar on his cheek. It didn't hurt anymore and the burning sensation was gone; He sighed dropping his hand to his side. "...Better go clean myself up..." He mumbled quietly as he then walked over to the wall near the front door and pressed his hand against it; Causing the bedroom door to open up and the room to light up much like it had before.

"They let me come and go a I want so any night you wish to have me alone I am there for you..." He said and leaned over kissing her lightly. "Come on lets go i don't want your dorm mom to get upset with me..." He said and took her hand to help her up.


Naio ran all the way back to Jiro's home she would not wait around why some one hurt him no mater how upset at her he was. She made it there just a little after he had come home. She saw him standing there by the bed room her heart almost stopping her eyes wide. "... Jiro-kun ..."She wisspred and stood at the now open doors.

Nisa blushed lightly when he kissed her and then nodded and took Cain's hand standing up from her seat. "It's nice to know your not strapped down like you would be with a regular everyday job" She then made her way through the club to the exit and out onto the side walk, she smiled softly "Now who are you referring to when you say dorm Mom?"

Jiro's ears twitched slightly as he picked up on the sound of Naio's voice. He rested his hand against the door frame, nearly ready to go into his room but looked back over to the french doors only to see Naio standing there. He sighed softly and shifted his glance back into his bedroom. "...Why are you here?" He asked as he stepped into his room and walked over to bathroom and stood in front of the sink. He reached down and ran the water and quickly started to wash him forearm off. Anything to remove the faint scent of Suzu that was still on him. He'd have to wait to take a shower like he had wanted to now that Naio was here.

"why...why am I here?" She asked feeling more hurt now then she had been when he had brushed her off that day. "I kept getting thrown across my room thats why..."she said her eyes narrowing at him her voice soft yet concerned. She fallowed him in to the bath room seeing the gas in his arm and the freshly open cut. "Who did this to you Jrio please...tell me..."She said and went up to him and touched him hand lovingly ready to cry seeing him so hurt.

"You see miss Naio will be looking for you yet..."He smirked and brought her close seeing the ever persent blush over her cheeks and smirked leaning down kissing her ear. "I don't think I am going to bring you back tonight I wish to be with you to much..."He said and moved to nuzzle her neck lightly. He could smell the blood and he wanted some. Not out of blood lust but just to taste his loves blood on his lips would be sweet to get the power only she could give him...

Nisa smiled softly, Naio was very protective of her so she could only imagine the response they'd get from her. She only blushed more when she heard the rest of what Cain had said. She tilted her head towards the ground to hide the color in her face. "...Then where are we going to go now?" She asked without lifting her eyes to look at him.

Jiro didn't look down at her but continued to clean up his arm; It was already starting to heal but it would still take some time. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, then spoke without bothering to look at Naio. "It's just a minor cut, don't worry about it" He paused and moved; Heading out of the bathroom towards his bed. "And don't worry yourself about how it happened" He stood in front of his bed for a moment before turning around and sitting down on it. He leaned back and rested on the bed, his body sinking into the bedding. He sighed softly knowing Naio wouldn't just up and walk out without knowing more of what happened. He just wanted to avoid bringing up the names of the people from her past. He laid on the bed, staring up at the ceiling wondering if he could think of some way to lie about this.

"Hmm I was thinking about my house..." He said comming up from her neck smiling lightly at her."I just don't like being away from you... can't help it after what happened..." He said and moved to take her hand "Please I won't try any thing on you I just want you close.

She watched him she had en idea on who it was becouse that was just her style, and who else would be able to reopen that wound on his cheek. She moved up to him as he laid back and narrowed her eye and climbed on to him pinning his arms. "Is this the only ay to get you talk?"She asked looking down at him hurt sitting how Suzu had her eyes filled with unshed tears. "Please whats wrong...?"

Nisa let him take her hand, she smiled softly and would follow him where ever he wanted to go. He had yet to give her any reason to doubt his intentions, so she wasn't worried about being with him in the slightest. "Your house. That sounds fine to me" Truth be told she was a little weary of being alone in her dorm at the present. Seeing as Suzu had got into her room so easily she really didn't feel safe there, at least not now. She smiled again hearing his last comment and absently squeezed tighter on his hand "I trust you Cain"

Jiro didn't move or even try to when Naio climbed up onto him and held him down. He sighed slightly and turned his head to the side so he wouldn't have to look at her. She was making this more difficult then he had wanted it; And why did these girls always have to sit on him like this when they had something serious to talk about? He slowly exhaled knowing full well he wasn't going to be able to avoid this confrontation anymore. "Nothing is wrong" He paused "These are minor cuts, they'll heal in no time at all"

"jiro... I am not stuid... I... I know who it was..." She said and bit her lip letting his arms go and just laying her head on his chest. He had become so clod becouse of what she said she hated this. "Jiro... I am sorry for what I said what I did it was stupid" She said this and started to shake."I love you ok?" She said biting her lips lightly."When my arm started to burn I... was so worried i could just sit back and wait to see if you where ok... I had to come see..."



Cain moved to take her waist in his hand and her opaset hand in the other. He walked them back to his house that wasn't that far from the bar and took her upstairs turning on the lights to show the front room that was a loft stideo type look. "Here sit down I'll put some tea on..."As soon as you walked in to the place you would see a full wall of floor to cilling windows. Yes it might be odd for a vampire but he kept them liking the view at night with the city lights showing not to far off. There where two long couch's sitting to face each other with a coffee table in the middle.

Nisa was surprised by the large floor to ceiling windows once Cain turned on the lights. The windows gave such a nice view of the town; Which was really unexpected. She nodded when she heard him tell her to have a seat. She wandered over to one of the couches and sat down. She leaned over and started to unbuckle her heeled shoes; She then pulled her legs up on the couch next to her. Her feet were already sore from walking around in the heels, she wasn't use to wearing nice shoes like that so her feet got tired easily. She set her hands down in her lap and looked at the bandages around her writs; They still ached but thanks to being with Cain she was able to forget about them for awhile.

Jiro wasn't very surprised to hear that Naio knew who it was that did this to him. He was for the most part a pretty well liked guy, so it really made the options of who very slim. He didn't bother moving his arms when she let go of them, and didn't turn his head to look at her. He sighed softly when she rested her head on his chest. He lifted his arms up and wrapped them around her when she started to shake; He was surprised by the words that followed. He wanted so badly to say those exact words back to her, but he stopped himself before he could open his mouth. He didn't want to believe what Suzu had said, but he also didn't want to chance it. By saying those three little words, he could be happy with Naio but only to an extent. He would never be able to bite her back to seal those words; Thanks to Suzu he'd be stuck half way, which wasn't what he wanted. He sighed softly torn within himself. He gently raised one of his hands and placed it on the back of her head, brushing her hair lightly.

He moved back in to the room and smiled watching he sit there, he was glad to just have her close to him. "Here I got you some raspberry tea.." He said setting down her drink and sat next to her not having got one knowing it would do no good. He took her feet in his hands and started to rub them knowing they must hurt. "Did you enjoy tonight?" He asked wanting to bring her at lest one good thing in this life.




She lay there with him she didn't care if he didn't say it back. Just the fact that he was holding her so close. She had hurt him and didn't need him to say any thing this right here was enough for her she loved this man and would stay be his side and keep the older girl away.

Nisa looked up at Cain when he brought the tea for her and smiled warmly. "Thank you" She glanced over to him when he sat down next to her, her eyes widened slightly when she felt his hands rubbing her feet. Her first reaction was to move her feet away from him quickly, considering she'd never had anyone touch her feet like that before. She smiled again "I've really enjoyed myself so far, but tonight isn't over already is it?" She asked smirking slightly.

Jiro continued to hold her with one hand and stroke her hair with the other, softly. He kept doing so for a few moments longer before saying anything. "How are you feeling Naio?" He asked in a mellow tone as he stared up at the ceiling blankly.

he smiled and laughed a little moving her feet and legs up just slightly to she laid back her legs going across his lap. his hands on either side of her head one hand playing with her chin running two fingers up and down it. "Maybe maybe not there is something I would like to do but I am scared to act one it..."He said getting close nuzzling his lovers neck playfully moving up nipping her ear.


Naio looked uo rasing a eye brow "I... am fine I am just glad your safe...happy she didn't do any thing to you..." She said and hugged the other a little closer. "Lossing you...would just kill me..." She said and sighed lightly moving to rest her head down on him again.

Nisa's golden eyes widened slightly when Cain laid her back. She nearly choked on her own breath of air having forgotten to breathe momentarily. When he started touching her neck, then nipped at her ear shivers were sent down her spine. She laid quietly for a moment before opening her mouth trying not to trip over her own words "...And what is that, might I ask?" She was almost positive that she knew what he was referring to; But it was better to clarify.

Jiro went back to holding her and stroking her hair absently when Naio laid back down. He wanted to tell her that Suzu had done something to him, but at the same time he didn't want to upset her anymore then she had been. He sighed softly "I'm glad that you are unharmed"
