"Alright then, JC Penny's it is!" he replied, as he started to lead the way through the mall once more. He was quick to navigate the areas, certainly, but one might note he tried to avoid the more crowded sections as well. At a point or two he could be seen catching a sharp breath before continuing forward. He wore a look of intense concentration as well, as though focused upon just getting through this.
When they finally arrived he relaxed once more. "Phew, I'll never figure out why this place is always at the end of a mall's wing," he commented, shaking his head as he led her towards ladieswear. Himself, he glanced across the way towards menswear pondering. He was really due for some new attire himself, but he supposed he should worry about that some other time. "So, have at it then," he told her with a wink. "Just bring it up to the register when you're ready," he added. Hmmmm... those casual shirts were really nice across the way... |
Sanoko smiled as she walked to the store with him. She shrugged. "Maybe it's more convenient for the store?" she said. She was sure that it wasn't all that convenient for the shoppers. She looked around as she followed him to the women's clothing. She looked at the clothes before starting to look for some.
"Ok." she said. She then looked at him for a few minutes. "You know you can look for clothes too. You said you needed some more as well. If you want some you can get some, you don't have to let just me get some and do without." she said with a small smile and then went to pick out some clothes. She looked around for awhile and picked up two pairs of pants, one of them pink and the others slightly dark blue jeans. She then looked for some shirts. She found one that had pink, blue, and white stripes and the sleeves would go halfway down her arms. She found another one that was pink and had long sleeves and kind of like a turtle neck, but it wasn't. It also had a vest like shirt sewed onto it that was a purplish pink. She saw some socks and went to look at them. She picked up three things that had two pairs in them. She picked up other things she needed and then walked to the register. "Maybe," Howard replied with a laugh, as he shook his head. It certainly was a pain for shoppers, but ah well! A little extra walking certainly hurt noone, did it?
"It's not that..." he said, his cheeks brightly blushed when she mentioned about him shopping. There just happened to be certain things about his person he was very self-conscious about. It made clothing shopping a royal pain! He didn't say this out loud though, and instead deciding to do a bit of hunting anyways. He didn't have to try things on after all right? Right. When he was finished, he had a few long-sleeved shirts of various colors, a pair of sneakers, a pair of brown shoes, and a few socks for himself. He paid for everything and grinned. "Are you up for lunch now?" he asked. ((OKies! :3)) |
"Ok." Sanoko said before going off. She did wonder what it was, but she didn't ask. It really didn't matter to her whatever it was. She sighed slightly. She looked at the stuff she had. When they were at the register she looked at what he had gotten.
She smiled and nodded. "Yeah sure, I'm up for lunch. I am getting a little hungry." She wondered what she would have. If they were eating here at the food court, which she saw earlier, she knew that they had different places to get food. She heard some people talking about it and she saw a few of the little places. |
Howard started the way back, trying not to notice how crowded the mall was on this day. He had made a point to leave early, but it never took long for a place such as this one to fill up. But it wasn't very long before they were in the food court. Howard looked over the places pondering.
"Any idea what you would like? I'm partial to good subs like Charlie's has usually but it might not be too bad to indulge in some Chinese or Cajun either..." This was always the hard part with the food court wasn't it? He laughed then, smiling with amusement. "This is the terrible part of having so many darn choices," he joked, shaking his head. "I'm half tempted to just go eenie meenie mini moe to pick!" ((Sorry about that, somehow I missed the reply here! > >; )) |
Sanoko followed him back to the food court. She looked over the places there trying to decide what she wanted. It was kind of hard to choose. She would be able to though it would just take a little while. She was leaning toward something though. She wished it was a bit easier to choose. She was having a little trouble choosing.
She shrugged slightly. "I'm not sure though I think I might get Cajun." she said and thought about it for a few seconds. Yes that would be what she would have. She would like to try that since she's never had that before. It might be good. She hoped it was though. She was sure it would be, now she just had to decide what she wanted from there. Sanoko looked at him and laughed slightly at what he said. "Yeah i guess it is hard to choose. I'm just going with something I never really had." She then looked at the place where Cajun was. She was going to try and decide what she wanted from there. She was going to get some chicken though. ----- Meanwhile Kiyo had come back to the house. She knew they were gone and that was good for her. She went to the room Sanoko was going to be staying in and began to move the things out and put them in another place where they would go. She did this to keep them from having to, they were going to but she wanted to do it to keep them from it. Give them time to do other things. Soon the room only had the things Sanoko would need. If they needed to know where something was she would tell them. She then left, she would be back to give Sanoko some things that she would have gotten if she had came back to the village. Kiyo thought she still deserved them, they were hers after all. (( That's fine. Do you know of anyone that would do an exotic pet shop RP, like Pet Shop of Horrors. )) |
"I think that's what I'll have," Howard agreed, walking over towards the Cajun place. "I like the bourbon chicken pitas myself, and the seasoned fries are great!" It was about the only time Howard really ate things like this, being as health conscious as he was. But hey, he knew everyone needed to indulge every now and then!
He placed his order, deciding upon a sweet tea to go along with it. "They have samples too if you can't pick," Howard told her, smiling lightly. "I was much the same way my first trip here!" ((You mean like the manga right? Haha, I loved that book! Uhm, tehre was someone in the rp search forum looking for just such a roleplay, but I cannot remember their name right offhand. Have you posted tehre to ask? *tilts head* Id offer myself but Ive never done such a n ro before x-x)) |
Sanoko continued to look at whay they had. She walked up to the place with him. She nodded at what he said he was going to get. She might get the same thing, though she wasn't sure. She then decided that she was just going to get some chicken and some of the fries. She then placed her order.
"Well it still might be hard for me choose what I want even with some samples. So I'm just going to get some chicken and some fries as well." she said with a small smile. It was true though if she liked everything she tasted she would still have a hard time choosing because then she might want a little of all of it. So she just decided upon something she was sure she was going to like. (( Yes the manga. Me too, lol. Well I saw two people and I PMed them about it and they said they would like to RP with me on that, but I haven't gotten a reply to discuss a plot or the basic things. Though I found someone else that is willing to try one. I never have either that's one reason why I want to do one to try it. )) |
"Ah, a good point indeed!" Howard replied, paying for their order. "After, I'll treat you to an ice cream if you like. The Dairy Queen here has the best parfaits and wow... I sound like a junk food addict about now don't I?" he asked, laughing. After their food came he found them a table a bit towards the edge of the main crowd, but not secluded too much either.
"Ah, here we go," he said, as he sat down. "Hope the trip's been okay so far. I don;t really go out in public much like this I'll admit," he added. "Go ahead, try it!" he added, nodding towards the chicken as he started in on his with a contented grin. He really did adore this stuff. It was as close to splurging as the plant mage came! ((Ah, that makes sense! Well, good luck, hope it turns out well! :3 Which part will you play?)) |
Sanoko smiled and nodded. "Alright I think I will like that." She laughed slightly and shook her head. "No you don't sound like that at all. You just want me to have a good time and have things I haven't had the chance to have in a long time." she said with a smile. When he had their food she walked over to the table he picked and sat down. She looked down at her food. She was going to take a bite in a few seconds. It did look good.
"It has been enjoyable. The trip so far has been fine. I understand, you don't like crowds so you wouldn't come to a place like this much." she said with a smile as she looked away from her food and up at him. "Ok." She then took a bite of her chicken. It was good, it had a good taste to it. "This is good." she said with a smile and continued to eat. This would be something she would get again if they came back here. (( I would be the pet. )) |
"I'm glad you think so too," he replied, as he continued his. "And well... its a silly reason I dislike crowds," he began, pondeirng how to phrase things properly. He disliked dredging up details about his own life, but certain times it did seem like a good time to know.
"When I was a slight younger, I was the master gardener of a state park. It was a real rewarding job... but they discovered I had magic. Witchcraft they called it, the devil's hand. As such, they ganged up upon me at once at my place of residence. I escaped, but not without a few marks," he added, shaking his head. But, every afterwards, large groups do I suppose, tend to brush those times to the surface again. Its silly, thinking upon such a distant past like that. But... I guess it's human too. This mall is in a different time, a different place," he added, sipping his drink. "I forgot how spicy those fries are, I'll probably need a refill soon," he joked, shaking his head. He did so love cajun food however, it was very good AND filling! ((Oooh, I see! Thats pretty cool :3 |
Sanoko looked at him and smiled slightly. She then began to wonder if he was going to tell her now about why he didn't like crowds. She wondered if it was really actually a silly reason or if he just saw it as such. She might not think it's a silly reason.
She listened to what he had to say. For a moment she didn't know what to say. She felt like she had to though, but couldn't think of anything. She then spoke. "That's not a silly reason to dislike crowds. I find that to be a very good reason. It is a little silly to think that everyone knows your secrete is out to get you if that's what you think when you're around crowds, but not silly to dislike crowds themselves and yes it is human to think on things that happened in the past. I'm not even human at all no traces of human in me and think of things that have happened a long time ago." She then didn't say anything else and just ate some of her fries. She smiled slightly and nodded. "Yeah these fries are pretty spicy." The fries were good and so was the chicken. She would now have a favorite food. She has now found out that Cajun food was very good. |
"No... I know they're not out to get me," Howard replied with a soft smile. "I know that now anyways, it took me a bit of time to realize that. You may not realize this, but for about a year I went through what I dub my Emo Phase. Had my hair cut short and died black, wouldn't talk to a soul, scowled all the time..." He smiled a slight then, and from his pocket pulled out a gold watch.
"Then this showed up for me. It reads inside ' Don't forget who you are. Its never too late.' I never found out who sent me, but it sent me thinking. In the right direction," he added, munching on a few more fries. He laughed softly when it was mentioned the fries were spicy. "That's why I always get a large tea when tackling these things," he commented, an amused grin upon him. "If you think this is good, someday I have to show you to a good Japanese place. Sushi and rice, if done right... perfect," he added. But Cajun, Cajun was in a world of his own he realized as he had almost finished his plate already. ((Sorry about the late reply, I've been out sick. x-x)) |
"Ok, well..." Sanoko said. She just listened to to what he said. She watched as he pulled out the gold watched. She smiled slight at what he said it said inside. "That's nice." she said and ate some more fries. "Well that's good or else you'll need to get refills more than you would with a large." she sad with a smile and then finished her food. "That sounds good, I would like to go sometime." She now looked at her empty tray.

His own tray was empty now, and he gave a nod. "Well, you ready to head back?" he asked. He wore a light smile now himself, finding it was good to get out of the house. And while places like this always seemed so strange to him with their complete lack of plants... it was always an interesting experience.
It was the one place where the only thoughts he could hear was his own. That was the one thing about being a plant mage... you could not really filter things well. He got up, and put his tray away, before waiting for her as well. "Right then, in the next few days I'll show you a good Japanese place," he added. He started the way back, peering inside his bags once again. Well, he had to admit, he was due for new attire anyways! When they were back at the house, he opened the door and allowed her in first before heading in himself. It had turned out to be a nice trip hadn't it? That was quite a relief to him really. ((Its alright, these things happen ;) )) |
Sanoko smiled and nodded. "Yeah I'm ready to go back now." she said and got up. She put her trash in the trash can and put her try away. She looked at him and smiled slightly before walking on a bit. She had fun today, she got some new clothes and some good food. It was just a good day now.
She smiled and nodded. "Alright, can't wait." She walked back to the house with him walking inside when he opened the door for her. She then went back to her room and took out her things to put them up. She noticed that the other things weren't in there, but she just shrugged and put her things away. |
Howard, meanwhile, could not help but idly wonder if the young woman from earlier would try her tricks again. She seemed determined, that was for certain. But he supposed it was better off not to think upon the manner, as he went to his own room and started putting his clothing away.
Well actually, he changed into one of the outfits. It was a green and brown slimfit long sleeved t-shirt he had liked, with the image of a tree upon it. These were paired with dark brown slacks, and one of the new shoes. He certainly seemed more relaxed in the not so formal attire at least. Walking back into the front room, he pondered what to do with the rest of the day. A trip to the garden? or perhaps a trip to the model airplane room he had mentioned before? Hmmm... yes, that might be good! |
Tsuki would be back for awhile because Kiyo had tied her up good. Kiyo was now getting ready to come back to bring Sanoko some things. A few minutes later she had arrived in the house knowing that they were back. She saw Howard, but not Sanoko she waited on her to come back. She didn't say anything as she stood there with a box in her hands.
Sanoko walked back into the front room a few minutes later as well. She saw Kiyo there. She walked up to her. "What's that?" she asked her about the box. She did wonder what it was and why Kiyo was back here with it. Was it important? She waited on her answer. "It's just some stuff for you that you would have gotten if you came back to the village, but I'm giving it to you anyway." she said and opened the box after sitting it down. "It has a blanket that is designed only for you, little things to sit around on shelves and things, and things like that." Kiyo said with a small smile. Sanoko took the stuff out and looked at it ok thanks. Kiyo then left. Sanoko continued to looked at the things. The little things to sit around was kitsune with three tails obviously made just for her. They were made in several different poses. |
Howard blinked a moment, upon seeing Kiyo arrive so unexpectantly, and with a box in hand. However, unlike her companion Tsuki, Kiyo was the one who had helped them. As such, he was not on guard. He was about to call for Sanoko, but the girl arrived shortly afterwards.
After Kiyo left, he looked with curiosity despite himself at the items. "Interesting assortment," he pondered. "Have you seen any of it before?" he asked, curious. Or for that matter, did she know who had made them? He was certain, however, that somewhere there sat a very unhappy Tsuki about all of this. Ah well, at least it seemed Kiyo had things under control. Thankfully for Sanoko at least. |
Sanoko shook her head. "No I haven't seen any of this or know who made it. I think someone in the village makes things like this for every new ruler." She then put everything back in the box and took it to her room. She took some of it out and put it places. She sat the box with the rest of the stuff in it in a corner. She walked out and back to the front room. She then sat down on the couch.

"Ah, I see," Howard replied with a nod. Ge wondered, idly, why noone had sought Sanoko before all of this, why she had been allowed to live homeless. Certainly they knew of her plight? Or did they just not care?
Disconcerting either way, certainly. In the kitchen, Howard was fixing them some cold tea. Would Tsuki try something again? He was sure she would, but for now it was best to enjoy the time they did have. Walking into the front room, teas in hand, he took a seat in his chair. Before he got too comfortable however, he noted a small familiar feline, creeping up behind Sanoko. "Don't look behind you, but I think you are being stalked," he commented with a wink, nodding towards Leona. ((I had a devil of a time coming up with a reply x-x I may introduce a new charrie shortly into things :3)) |
Kiyo did care, but Tsuki never would let her go get Sanoko. Tsuki was going to come back. Right now she was working on getting lose, untied. She was almost free, but would continue to act tied up for a little while longer. She was going over what she was going to do when she went back. She had a plan most definitely.
Sanoko smiled slightly when he came into the room. "Alright." she said with a smile when he mentioned she was being stalked. She knew he was talking about Leona. She looked back slightly at her, but enough to where she might not be able to tell. She was going to see if she was going to do something since she was creeping up behind her. (( It's ok and alright cool. I could bring in another as well. )) |
Howard watched from the corner of his eye as well, curious what the little feline was up to this time. He would never figure out how she got in really, but he had given up some time ago on figuring it out! Besides, she always seemed to bring amusement with her really.
The little kitty was coming up from behind, when she leapt up without a sound over the back of Sanoko's chair, and onto the girl's head. She peered down then to look at Sanoko, giving a little feline grin as her tail twitched idly behind her. "She's begging for attention yet again..." Howard replied with a light laugh, shaking his head. Cats... would could one do with them anyways? |
Sanoko laughed slightly and looked up at her. She reached to take her of off her head and hold her to pet her; she wasn't sure if she would let her do it though. She hoped so though. She once had a cat, but it ran away. A few seconds later Sanoko's fox ears came out and twitched slightly. Leona was still on her head because she hadn't moved her yet and her being on her head felt a little weird so her ears just came out. "I like her." she said with a smile.
"Remember when I asked you if you had any restraints or could get any because you might need them, for me to tie me down at night? Well you really might need them soon." She was still kidding of course, but tried to be serious about it. She felt like playing the joke again because it was just fun the first time. "So yeah..." ~~~ Tsuki was now free, she could move at any time but she wasn't going to just yet. She was going to wait until Kiyo came back in there. She was going to tie her up and go get Sanoko. Kiyo wasn't going to stop her then. She sat there for awhile waiting. She just thought about what she was going to do to get Sanoko. (( Sorry I took sooo long. I left for awhile and when I came back it was hard to find this thread again since the site changed some. Well I'm back now and I hope we can continue with our role play. )) |
Howard couldn't help but smile a slight as Sanoko's cute little fox ears popped out. As always, quite the sight. Leona seemed to think so as well, as the little feline took to gently pawing at the ears from her head perch. To say it was cute would have been the understatement of the year!
At Sanoko's comment, the gentle plant mage laughed. "Oh come now! What would the neighbors think?" he asked her, trying to look equally as serious but failing miserably. He laughed once more, a hearty laugh, before shaking his head. He always tended to attract interesting company, that much was for sure! |
