((I'm giving them a maid. >> ))

Jin had woken much earlier and with his wings still resting on his shoulders, he sat next to Hyde, his hands resting lightly on the boy'd arm as Jin watched his chest rise and fall with every breath.

This grew boring quickly, despite the apeal of Hyde's figure, a Jin moved to the floor with a small hop and flutter. With his short attention span and never ending curiousity, he was quickly lured out of the room by noises and smells that were unfamiliar to him. He paused in the hall, uncertain as to whether or not he was supposed to leave the room.

"Well hello there!" A woman in a black and white modest dress greeted him. "You'll be going to school with Hyde won't you? This way."

Jin allowed himself to be guided downstairs. The maid retrieved an outfit for him fromt he clothes that had yet to be put away due to a lack of a place to put them. "Go change into these, you can watch some television while Hyde get's ready for school."

Twenty minutes later Jin found himself in ( Either a boys school uniform or) a black long sleved shirt under a white vest, white pants with black cuffs, and black dress shoes. He was sitting on the couch, watching peoiple move in the box, the 'tv' as the maid had called it. He smiled, proud of himself for how quickly he was able to pick up and learn what the tv was saying. He repeated the words under his breath, his ming spinning to make sense of them, and not doing to bad of a job on it.

Kiihay 03-14-2008 02:36 AM

Hyde heard the maid's voice, who had also been a close figure in his life unlike his parents, but thought nothing of it. She had come back in to wake Hyde, seeing as he had continued to hit the snooze button again and again and again.

"Little master, wake up... little master... please wake up." She said softly, shaking his shoulder from over the covers. Hyde grunted and groaned before finally throwing off his sheets and glaring at her. She, in return, gave him a great wide smile and waited patiently.

"I hate you...." He muttered her way. She nodded and smiled still.
"I love you too, Little master." She exaggerated the title that she had given him years ago and giggled. "Hurry up, school will start soon and Jin is waiting for you downstairs."

He paused for a second and thought... Jin... Jin... oh that's right his 'bird'. He sighed an nodded his head before going to his closet and pulled a long sleeved thermal from it's hanger and pulled on a pair of khakis. He got ready as quickly as he could, brushed his teeth, combed his hair (only to shake it loose again) and decided to wear his glasses today instead of his contacts.

He ran down the stairs and zipped into the kitchen, grabbed a few things for breakfast and lunch, stuffed them in his bag and went to find Brian, who was sitting in the living room near Jin.

"Alright! I'm ready." Hyde wasn't excited about school, but he was the type that wanted to go in hopes of somethig new happening that was different from the day before.

Burnt Biscuits 03-14-2008 02:59 AM

Jin beamed at Hyde as he entered the room, excited at the chance to show his new owner what he'd learned. He cleared his throat slightly, beaming, and said quite clearly, "Good morning Hyde!" He'd learned that much from the maid, "Ready to go school? Me too, yes?" He asked, the words a bit jumbled, but the general meaning was there.

He smiled wider, waiting for praise, but then noticed the glasses. Intrigued he hurried over, his face very close to Hyde's as he inspected the things. "What?" He asked, tapping the lens lightly, "What this?" He swipped the glasses and put them on, his eyes struggleing to focus. He laughed, "Like you?" He asked as he mimicked the way Hyde was standing.

((Sorry, I got tired of the lack of dialog. n.n;; ))

Kiihay 03-14-2008 07:14 PM

Hyde leaned back away from Jin's reaching hands, but still couldn't avoid him taking away the glasses. His eyes squinted to look around, as Hyde was a blind as a bat. He sighed and leaned back against the wall and nodded his head. "Yes, yes, just like me." hyde was at the point of giving up to the boy and finally just nodded his head and treated the bird like any other child.

He hadn't even heard the part about school coming from bird... but as he thought about it more and more he realized what Jin had said. "Wait... school with me?" He stared at Brian, hoping that the boy had gotten his words mixed up, but Brian only smiled ever so slightly and shrugged his shoulder before returning t his paper. "You can't go to school with me! You can't!" He complained, and glaring at the bird.

Burnt Biscuits 03-14-2008 08:41 PM

Jin was heart broken, Hyde hadn't seemed to even notice he was speaking. No praise, no recogition. And on top of that, the glare and harsh words... "No? Can't? Why?" Jin looked hurt as he handed back the glasses. "Jin can, if Hyde say so." He pointed out. He didn't like that glare, but he didn't want to be left behind either.

((Do they have school uniforms?))

"I'm ready to go school." He said, holding up the small school bag Hyde's mother had bought him. He'd even made the effort to teach himself to speak, and while he hadn't gotten far with it, he knew much more then he had the night before, especially the useful 'what' and 'why's. Which reminded him, he knew the words to ask now!

He reached forward rather suddenly, pushing the edge of Hyde's shirt up to see one of the bruises. "Why?" He asked, "Why bruises?"

Kiihay 03-15-2008 03:00 AM

[no, kinda basing this place off of my middles school]

Before anyone else in the room could see what he had hidden under his black thermal he yanked away Jin's hand, scowled at him quietly under his breath a hard and strict, "No!", and threw Jin's hand away to the side. He didn't like Brian knowing about these things or letting Julia, the maid, know either. Both of them wanted Hyde to be happy and if they heard about this they would throw a fit to the school. If his parents knew then they would have simply told him not to take that sort of torment. It wasn't easy... and he had decided long ago that he would take care and live with this situation at school on his own.

Finally Hyde looked at Jin and leaned forward next to the other boy. "You can come, but don't a word about my bruises or about the people at school. Let things happen like they are supposed to and don't do anything about it." He didn't know whether or not the bird would understand him, but he hoped so. "Then you can come to school with me."

"Brian! Let's go." He said, trying to muster a smile for his guardian before taking Jin's wrist and pulling him close behind as they went out to the black Lexus in the driveway outside. In the short time where the two of them were waiting for Brian to reach the car, Hyde whispered to Jin. "You'll know why I have these bruises at school. But don't say a word about it to anyone except me, understand?"

Burnt Biscuits 03-15-2008 07:05 AM

Jin didn't understand Hyde's reaction and the sudden command took him by surprise. He nodded to show he understood and allowed himself to be pulled out to the car. He couldn't help get the feeling Hyde wasn't happy with him, although he didn't see what he was doing wrong. He'd thought maybe it was just because he couldn't speak, but he was learning, and fast, so that couldn't be it... "Hyde..." He frowned, trying to put the words together, "You... not happy at me?" He asked, hoping he'd worded it right. Perhaps he was just a bit worried over it, after all, he'd never been outside the shop that he could remember, he had no idea how to behave. On top of that, he'd only ever heard kind words from the shop keeper, so he picked up on harsh tones and words much more than he might have otherwise.

Kiihay 03-15-2008 08:57 AM

Hyde held his pet's wrist and nodded his head. "No I'm not. I don't want Brian to know about my bruises. It's private." He said, before wondering just how much the bird had learned that morning as he came to realization at just how much the bird was talking today compared to last night. He patted Jin's head and tried to muster up a smile. "But you're doing good, just keep learning."

The time in the car was a quiet one from Hyde. He stayed quiet as the car drove the fifteen minutes to school every minute dreading the destination more and more. He started to bite on the skin at the corner of his thumb like he always did when he was nervous... around finals he often had to put a bandage on that patch of skin since he'd bite it till it bled and then more. His forehead was pressed against the cool glass of he tinted window until the sight of the front gate came to sight. From there it was a half a mile down a narrow strip of road surrounded by trees and hill on one side and a ditch on the other. Passing by busses was often a scary experience. The school campus was a wide open one. The building nearest to the gates was the Highschoo, the middle school connected by a hallway to the left. The sidewalk had stairs descending down into what hyde would consider his hell. This school was built in the middle of the evergreen forest and right next to the river. At the beginning and the end of the school year the entire school would swim in it's soft currents.

He sighed as he went forward, knowing that Jin would follow. The middle school was nothing but a jagged circle of classrooms. In the center was the courtyard that acted like a lunch room almost. In a small alcove was a cave of microwaves for the kids to heat up their lunches. Lockers and classrooms surrounded this. It was simple and impossible to get lost in. The entire middle school, 6-8, was only about 120 bodies all together not including the 10 or so teachers that had been there for years and years. The youngest one having been employed 4 years ago. Jin jetted to his locker as fast as he could, threw in his bag, grabbed his books, and locked it. He was just about the only one in his 20 peered class that locked their locker... but that was because he was the one that they all enjoyed tormenting. There were a few girls that felt for him and would talk to him, those were the closest people he could call friends really, but even then it was out of pity.

He sighed and looked over his shoulder at Jin and pointed at his locker. "This is my locker. If you get lost, come back here and I'll see you."

Maybe the bird would wander down to the highschool and find himself lost there.... but then again even that was just a giant two story square centered around their own courtyard... it was only a long hallway away from the middle school.

Burnt Biscuits 03-19-2008 08:19 PM

"Private?" Jin didn't recognize this word. However, he glowed at the praise, and nodded. He sat through the car ride, leaning against Hyde until they reached the school. He nodded at the instructions, staring at the metal boxes he had just leared as 'locker'.

"Not lost, I stay with you, right? To class now, right?" He asked, the show he'd been watching had taken place in a school, he'd toguht it appropriate to watch since he'd be going to school that day. "And then lunch, and then skip, and then bus, and then date, right?" He asked, recalling the events in order from the show.

He was getting a few odd looks from people that passed, and a lot of girls seemed to be unable to take thier eyes off him. He didn't like this 'school' place very much so far, but it was worth coming to stay with Hyde. He didn't like to be alone.

Kiihay 04-29-2008 06:40 AM

Hyde raised an awkward brow and laughed at Jin. "No... no skipping and no date. Just class and lunch and more class. What have you been learning?" He asked before he began to recall the fact that the television had been on that morning. That must have been why the bird had learned to much in such a small time! It actually began to make sense to him. Hyde took the bird's wrist as they walked by the most vicious group that loved to torture Hyde. They laughed and then grabbed Hyde by the other wrist and pulled him back.

"What's the hurry Hydie? Class doesn't start for another half hour.... so who's your friend?" The one that spoke was Collin. He was a taller boy with a broad shoulders and a stout face. He lauhed Hyde and placed his elbow on the shorter boy's head as a leaning post. He looked at Jin up and down and then smiled, accepting the new face willingly. "What you hanging around this little girl for? Don't tell me that you're Hydie's boyfriend or something."

The other boy's laughed at the comment and shook their heads. They gathered around Jin and seemed to embrace the new 'kid' into their little group without a problem. "C'mon, you don't want to hang around this little girl. He doesn't know how to have fun, now us on the other hand, you'll have a blast with us."

Burnt Biscuits 04-29-2008 06:50 AM

Jin didn't seem to understand half of what was being said, so he just nodded agreeable. What girl? Boy friend? A male friend? These must've been Hyde's friends.

Under this logic, he followed quite willingly, assuming Hyde would go with them. Although... were all humans that rough with each other? "A blast?" he questioned. He was still struggling under the feeling of all the eyes on him. He knew he looked a little different, but this seemed like a bit much. Granted, he didn't realize that his body was drop dead gorgeous.

(( Kiihay's back! Yay! ILU! <3 X D ))

Kiihay 04-29-2008 07:19 AM

There was a moment when Hyde was hoping that perhaps the bird would be smart enough to stay with his master, but that wasn't the case as Collin threw Hyde aside, slamming him against the lockers with a rough clash. The small boy cringed and glared at the group that walked away from him. His green eyes were dark and vengeful... how could his pet be taken away so easily?! This was supposed to be his... a life that was devoted to him, wasn't it? He bit his lip and chewed on it lightly as he pushed himself back up and walked away.

Collin on the other hand had his arm around the pretty looking boy, showing him off to the girls who cooed and smiled at the new boy. It was true that Jin was pretty and he had an unexplainable charm about him that drew most of the class to at least look at him and accept him.

[lol! Thanks? ^-^]

Burnt Biscuits 04-29-2008 07:32 AM

Try as Jin might, he couldn't seem to escape the crowd. They sat in thier first class, ignoring Hyde entirely as the students poured over their new friend, playing with his hair, asking him questions, and seemign entranced by the 'exchange' student.

"Don't worry Jin, I'll help teach you English. Where are you from?" A particularly busty girl asked, moving to sit on his lap.

"Russia..." Jin answered honestly, glancing back at Hyde as he tried to plan his escape from the crowd.

Next thing he knew the teacher had called him to the front of the room to introduce him as the ew student. The students hurried to their seats, and once Jin was allowed to sit, he moved towards the seat next to Hyde. However, one of his classmates pulled him into a chair with a 'sit by me Jin!'

When the bell rang the crowd swept him down the hall, and with the excuse, taken straight from that morning's cartoon, he 'needed to get his lunch' and finally was able to rest, waiting by Hyde's locker.

Kiihay 04-29-2008 07:57 AM

It was the same as always... though today was admittedly more bearable without that constant noise of someone talking about him or teasing him. He drew on his notes while the teacher talked and the students ignored. On the line paper he let his pencil scribbled wings but the moment that he finished he was reminded of bird and of Jin and began to scratch it out violently. He was actually happy when the bell rang, perhaps it was because it was the only time that he had where he could run off into the woods behind the school and just disappear for a while... but that is if he could run before any of his classmate actually found him.

He walked towards his locker, but stopped when he saw Jin waiting there oh so patiently for him. He huffed and simply brushed the other body aside to open his locker. "What are you doing here? I thought you had flown off." He said blankly as he pulled down his sac lunch. "What are you expecting me t feed you now?"

Burnt Biscuits 04-29-2008 08:12 AM

Jin looked slightly hurt, but he understood why Hyde was upset... after a while he'd figured out that the people he was surrounded by were anything but Hyde's friends. Unfortunately, 'sorry' wasn't in his vocabulary yet. "Hydie..." he resorted to the childish name, as if it making things sound cute would make them better. He shook his head 'no' as his stomach growled. While he was hungry, that wasn't the reason he'd come back. "Hyde... I... they..." He stammered, unable to find the words he wanted. Panic was swelling inside his chest. If Hyde hated him, he'd be taken back to the store, and if the went back, who knew how long he'd be stuck waiting for an owner? And even if he found an owner again, it wouldn't... well, it wouldn't be Hyde.

"No returns?" He asked worriedly, knowing the term 'return' from the contract. Pets could be returned at anytime, for any reason. "Don't return me..."

((Uhg, stupid Uke Jin... He;ll get a bit of backbone once he gets used to the things around him. n.n;; ))

Kiihay 05-02-2008 05:26 AM

Hyde tried to ignore the name that the bird had called him... hadn't he said not for him to say that? He bit his lower lip and slammed his door closed. "I told you.. my name is Hyde." He looked at Jin and sighed when the other boy began to quiver in his speech. He shook his head nudged the other with his hand. "No I'm not going to return you... but you're not a very good pet so far.... aren't pets supposed to be loyal and such?" He shrugged his shoulders.

"Jin!" Collin called out to the two of them, Hyde flinched at the voice and backed against the locker. "What are you doing hanging around this dope?" Collin glared at Hyde and then placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "That's right, Jin's staying with you isn't he? So this must be his lunch right?" He said taking the bag from hyde and shoving to the side. Of course in the bag had been the rest of the strawberries from last night for Jin, but also a sandwich and some other little bits of snacks for Hyde.

Again Hyde chewed on his lower lip and stayed silent. He didn't want Jin to know much about this 'relationship' he had with his classmates... if the bird did know he may sing it out to the entire house and he didn't want Brian to know about this.... It was pathetic.

"Well Jin? C'mon let's go, the other's are waiting." Collin draped his arm around Jin's shoulders and gently tugged him to follow.

Burnt Biscuits 05-02-2008 07:19 AM

Jin took the bag, "My lunch." He stated, clutching the bag. Not that he wanted it, but he wanted Hyde to be able to eat. Hyde's words were ringing in his ears... not a good pet. He hadn't meant to abandon Hyde, but he wasn't sure how to comunicate that. And worse, he was about to be dragged off again.

If he argued and followed the instinct tocling to Hyde, the classmates would stay and make things worse, but if he left with them... Well, Hyde would be alone again, and he would be a bad pet. He faced the bullies d pointed at Hyde, using yet another line from that mroning's show. "We need to talk. Me and Hyde... about... about..." He struggled to come up with something in his vocabulary that would work. "Homework. Go...?" He said, trying to suggest he'd catch up later.

If all went well, he'd vanish off somewhere to eat lunch with Hyde, and prove he was a good pet.
