He had a feeling he would get such a reaction. He hadn't expected it to be quite as intense as it was however. Jeans was a rogue... who else would come after him. Well, to save him anyways. He could think of plenty who might come and finish him off.

And then she started to cry, which he really did not expect. "Easy Aissel," he said, looking down at her, his hands resting gently upon her shoulders. "If... if I don't go rescue him, who will. He is a friend. A desperate roguish devil of a friend, but still a friend. If I don't go... who will?" he asked, heaving a great sigh.

"It's not a manner of if I can or I can't... it's a matter of I need to. Before his whole... incident, he's been there for me plenty of times," he added. "I can't just let them try and put him to sleep you know... or worse yet study him. You... you know what I mean?"

((OOooh, I like this plotbunneh :3))

simple 04-04-2008 12:18 AM

(Bwahaha! :3)

Aisselene was overreacting a bit too much, but she had some things happen before, where the guy left, and then never came back. So maybe you could say she would have reason to worry, just a little bit..
"Okay," she whispered. "I see..."

Jerking away from his grasp, Aisselene had her arms slightly crossed, her left hand cupped over her mouth as she stared blankly at the floor.

She seemed to be thinking quite deeply about something as the tears seemed to stream endlessly down her face.
And after a moment, she cringed, and closed her eyes, reopening them to focus on Jacob.

"Take your pick," she said as she stared in his direction. "It's either me.. Or him."

Why was she making him choose like this!? Oh how sweet was that!

(You should PM me, I gots an idea. :3 I think you'll like it.)

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 12:36 AM

"Aissel..." Jacob began, startled and a bit hurt as well, as she jerked from his grasp. Couldn't she see Jeans's life was on the line here? Although Jacob supposed he should worry upon his own welfare, he had never been very good at that.

She was crying.

That stung even worse. Was it overraction on her part... or was he being insensitive somehow? He could never tell anymore. "Wait... what?" he asked, blinking. "Aissel, that's hardly fair! Jeans could very well die in tehre, and I've known him nearly my whole life! If I'm not tehre for him when he had been for me, what sort of man does that make me? His life is on the line! I would only be gone a short it, and I would come right back. That's... it's not fair. You're asking me to choose between a person's life and... it's not right!" What had he been about to say one might wonder. But for now he looked to her, hoping she would change her mind.

And in the meantime, finding himself wracked with inner turmoil.

simple 04-04-2008 12:51 AM

Aisselene felt horrible for what she was doing to poor Jacob, but she couldn't stop, or change her mind now.
There was no going back from this point, this was it..
This was the bitter end, caused by her own selfishness, that really was quite unnecessary.

"It me or him," she stated in a weak shaky voice. " Take your pick.."

Why was she doing this to herself!? This was just stupid now, absolutely stupid!
And the even worse part of all of this was that really, Jacob was the best thing to hit her, ever.
And now she was giving it all up, just because she felt a little uneasy about something..?
Wow was she being dumb..

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 01:00 AM

Jacob's gaze went to the floor, because he knew what he had to do. He would not feel right any other way. Well... he would not feel right with either decision really. He just... it...

"I..." he started, but he could see Jeans's face haunting him once more, and he knew what he had to do. Jeans could very well die, if left there. In fact, Jacob was certain he would.

One way or another.

"I... I'm sorry Aissel. I have to be there for him," he said, his tone filled with pain. "I'll... come back," he added, grimacing. "But it's... it's been really nice while I was here." He gave a soft smile, although his own gaze was wavering. "Thank you," he added, before opening the door, and heading out.

He could not let Jeans die.

He knew he was giving up his one chance at happiness, he was. And what Aissel must be going through right now... but he knew he could not stand back and do nothing either.

It was unfair. All of it. And he knew if he had been in his wolf form, he would have howled right then and vented his frustrations. But... for right now... he had a mission to do.

And then he could.. he would... well. He didn't know now.

((Of course bad ol' Joe is an NC, so Ill let ya handle him :P))

simple 04-04-2008 01:15 AM

( But I dun wanna be Joe! He's too mean! D: )

As soon as Jacob had formed the word "sorry" in his mouth, Aisselene felt everything shattering around her.
It was like the world burst into a million little pieces around her.
Everything else he had said was nothing to her; she couldn't hear it, she couldn't feel it.
She didn't want to hear it..

And when he left, things seemed to get worse as she sunk into the floor, leaning towards the couch for support.
Now she made no noise at all as she stared into space, trying to put together just what had happened to her.

Did she get shot? No. But that was what it felt like.
Not even that could describe this. It felt much, much worse..

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 01:38 AM

((Okay, fine, fine :P))

It was hard to run for ones goal, when the world seemed to be swirling around him. He... he had to focus. but focus was difficult when ones mind was elsewhere. But right now...

He needed to formulate a plan and get Jeans out of there. Although currently, he was so pissed off, mainly at Jeans, partially at himself too...

He didn't want to go...

* * * * *

It wasn't very long before a confident figure came up to Aissel's place, wearing an equally confident grin. He had ensured all of the windows were locked, before going through a door still open. Not that he couldn't have opened it.

It as there he found Aissel, leaning against the couch. "Tsk tsk, here I am looking for a bastard... and I get the bitch instead," he mused, stepping towards her.

"What's wrong? Your knight in shining armor desert you? Or... let me take a quick guess here... you drove him off like ya did me? Tore up his heart I bet, a real man-killer eh? Hell, doesn't matter to me, he probably had it coming," he added, as he pulled from his pocket a rag.

Sure, he could punch her, but that would come later... for now, he was getting her away from here. Play his cards right and maybe he could set up a nice trap eh? he'd make this work for him yet. Setting the rag (which was dowsed in chloroform) into her face, he waited for her to pass out.

This... could be quite fun actually.

simple 04-04-2008 01:48 AM

(Yay!)

Though Aissel wasn't the smartest person in the world, really, she understood what was happening.
And the worst part of all, was that she didn't even try to stop it.

Looking up at Joe, Aissel's eyes were already blurring a bit, her head feeling light, and less burdened.
She simply gave up, breathing into the rag deeply, inhaling the aroma that would make her drift away.
And at this point, that was what she had wanted, she wanted to forget.

She wanted to forget his smile, his smell, his face, his body, everything..
She wanted it all gone, and this was the quickest way to get there, at least in her eyes.

And then there was black. She was down and out, and that was what she was hoping for.

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 02:04 AM

((Slacker :3 Haha, double duteh for me))

Trying to think of a plan... it helped a slight bit get his mind off of the pain he felt. He tried to concentrate for right now on just it... just that. It wasn't hard to find his destination, since he used to drive past it on occasion.

Sneaking around sure wasn't his forte. But thankfully, he had caught sight on the news of a black-haired guard. It didn't take much, catching the guard on one of his pacing trips, to knock him out. Slipping into the attire, Jacob made his way around the facility, setting his plan into action...

"I'll get you out of there Jeans..."
he told his old friend.

"JAKE?!? Is that you? Oh get me outta here please! I don't want to diiie!"

"You have my word..." As much as it was worth these days he thought glumly.

* * * * *

Aissel proved light to the Alpha, as he plopped her rather ungracefully into the back of his car and headed not to his place... bur rather the small building he owned where he took care of business like this. The surroundings would prove bleak sure enough, for the room which was their destination in the house had no furnishings save for an old bed. The wallpaper from the walls was coming off and peeling, the floor had splinters... the bed even had springs loose.

It was onto that bed he tossed her, where one may have noticed the bed had other furnishings as well. Namely, in the form of cuffs which he proceeded to place upon her wrists. He wondered idly if she would awaken during this, some did. if so, he knew the ways to keep her quiet, oh he did...

One cannot go into much detail at this pint, so youll have to sorta fill in the blanks a bit o.O Depends on how far ya think he'd torture her or whatnot o.o))

simple 04-04-2008 02:21 AM

(OMGG! IS HE EFFING RAPING HER!? D: )

During everything, this whole charade of being loaded, unloaded, and tossed around, Aissel had really began to stir a bit..
But really for her, tis was a bad time to come back into the painful reality she lived in, only this time, it was a very dark room, very dark, and chained to a bed..

Her eyes were still blurred as her hands began to move in an attempt to get themselves free, what was happening to her?
She couldn't feel her legs either, and the situation couldn't be determined for how much she could really see, or hear.

But her eyes fixated clearly on a figure, and it wasn't something good..

"Joe," she asked in a weak voice. "What..?"

(OHMYGOD! Not only is it short, but I have to restrain form detail!)

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 02:33 AM

((No hes not x-x; Yeeesh no. *Facepalms* He justw ants to keep her still. Er... hmmmm... thast the one thing he doesnt do acually. I woudlnt allow it x-x; Although he IS a bastard. ))

"So.. you've finally come to huh Aissel?" Joe asked, arching a brow towards her as he leaned against a post. "If you're wondering what the whole chains are for, wonder away. I'm a nice guy you know... I won't take you by force." He laughed at this. "You should know, tehre are plenty of girls I can have willingly." He smiled a slight.

"But... those who stray, should be taught a lesson. But... no matter. Aissel my dear, you shall see what being alone really feels like, what being REJECTED can do. Before it all, I'm sure, you'll be begging to return. It's at that point the lesson will sink in," he added, showing a glimmer of teeth.

"But, for the moment, you're not going anywhere. And your little knight is nowhere to be found. It is all rather hopeless... don't you agree?"

* * * * *

It was a short time later that a pair of men walked out of the animal control building in uniform. "Geeez, ya saved my life man! How can I ever repay ya?" Jacob shook his head.

"Just... don't talk about it right now. I have to say good-bye to someone first, okay?"

"What? Who? That chick from earlier? I thought you had the hots for her?" Jacob sighed deeply.

"It... nevermind. Let us just-" He paused, once outside of Aissel's home. A familiar scent reached him. Joe. His former Alpha was here. "AISSEL!!!" he screamed, barging inside only to find noone inside, and the lingering smell of...

That was all it took to send Jacob running.

simple 04-04-2008 02:48 AM

(Okay, it just sounded like that, alot..)

Aisselene's head throbbed, and now her wrists hurt as she tried her best to free herself.
Of course, there really was no hope at this point for being free, and soon enough, she would die, and she knew it.
Whether he harmed her, or whether she finished herself from insanity, it would happen..

"Mmm.. Joe," she said again as she tried to reach her head with one of her hands.
"Why can't you just leave me alone.. Cant you just kill me and get it over with, please..?"

Scooting her body upwards, Aissel found a way to sit up, and found it more difficult than it appeared.

Really being dead would be better than this, than what had happened, than life.
"If you want to kill me, then kill me Joe, please spare me all of your talking and kill me.."

Now the tears of anger slid down her face, "And if you don't then I can do it myself, I have all that I need right here."

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 03:10 AM

((Nope, hes just an ass *laughs* No worries, he just plans on leaving here tehre for like ever. x-x Then killing her. Thats his usual plan > > ))

He looked towards her, giving a slight smile. "Now, why, pray tell, would I do that? You certainly didn't give me any options..." he replied, his voice smooth but cold. Ice cold.

"As for having what we need... we both know you don't. No... you are going to stay right there, even if I have to tie you down. I will not have to tie you down will I? Perhaps gag you? I think, rather, I would like to hear what you say as you start to loose your mind. They all do, until I kindly do put them out of their misery. So... fight it. Go ahead. In a weeks time... the result is the same." He laughed then, shaking his head.

"Go ahead, try to prove me wrong."

* * * * *

Jacob meanwhile, was running at a superfast speed, Jeans close to him. "HEY! What's the rush for buddy? Come on man, slow down!" But of course, Jacob did nothing of the sort. If anything, he seemed to go faster.

Not much further...

'Hold on Aissel...' he thought. 'Just hold on...'

((Haha, one more post before the dramatics :P))

simple 04-04-2008 03:25 AM

(Meh, I'll trust you..)

Aissel was losing her patience with Joe, not that she had ever had any to begin with.
"I have everything I need," she said.

Pulling one arm over her neck, and then in some fashion bringing the other one around, she had somehow created a sort of knot, that would if she had allowed it, choked her down to death. And all she would have to do, is scoot off the bed, and it would be over.

Scooting towards the edge, she grinned an evil, and devious looking smile, "Just push me," she said.
"You can tie me up, gag me, sit on me, I will find a way to die on my own time, and there won't be a thing you can do about it."
She moved a bit closer to the edge.

"And I have no doubt in my body that I can do this, and I am not afraid of this anymore Joe.."

It's not like I have anything left to live for anyway..

And that's when she slid off of the bed, catching herself with her feet, staring in Joe's direction.

He doesn't care about me, she told herself. Jacob was only in it for exactly what I thought he was, and then he split..

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 03:36 AM

Joe's eyes narrowed. "As if I would allow you to end this game so early?" he asked, going over to loosten the knot. He actually had it loosened enough to where it would only choke her should she push for it, when a familiar scent reached his nose.

"Jacob..." Joe said, his low voice a growl. Sure enough, bursting into the room, there came a black haired young man with glaring blue eyes.

Jacob, who looked over towards Aissel with concerned wide eyes. "Aissel, hang in there! I'm getting you out of here!"

"You?" Joe asked, laughing. "Why? Why would you do that? You know you can't defeat me... give in now and I may spare your life..."

"I would do that because I love her!" Jacob replied, his eyes filled with determination.

"You only just met heh..."

Jacob smiled a slight. "But I know what it feels like!"

"Ah... yes. You were in love once before weren't you? As I recall she found out what you were and asked you to leave..." Jacob gritted his teeth.

"It doesn't matter. What matters... is putting an end to THIS!" Moments later, it was a massive black wolf that leapt towards Joe. Joe met him, as a large brown wolf. Then the fight was on...

A familiar sandy colored wolf padded up then, looking towards the two fighters and whimpering a slight. "Man... I tried to talk him out of this..." he told Aissel. "He... he wouldn't hear of it. He said even if ya don't care for him anymore, even if you detest his actions, he'd still fight to protect ya no matter what. Foolish..."

((See, under control x-x Hopefully :3))

simple 04-04-2008 03:49 AM

(Yay!)

Aisselene felt that familiar pang of hurt surge through her body when Jacob and Jeans appeared to her rescue.
But somehow, she was happy, happy that Jacob had not given up on her yet..

And that was when she heard those words, the words that separated time and space, and filled up the hole that was ripped into her heart.

He loves me..

It was like everything had been erased. Her hostility earlier, that was gone. And now, she wanted nothing more than to tear from her bindings and pull him into her arms.
And she had known from the beginning, the reason she wanted him to stay, and to choose. It wasn't because she had been selfish.
No, it was because she knew that she found something amazing, and she didn't want to lose it.
And now, that seemed closer than ever...

Sitting on the floor, she stared in awe of her big black wolf, prepared to die just for her.
Aisselene strained against the chain, or whatever it was, trying to get free in some way, but it didn't help, she was powerless to do anything but watch now, and pray..

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 04:08 AM

Jeans looked over as Aissel tried to get free. "Hey, I don't like it either, but ya have to stay put man. It's for your best interests..." But he didn't like it much either. His gaze turned towards where the two wolves were fighting.

Joe was... much larger than Jacob. Larger claws, larger teeth. Currently, the two were moving so quickly one could not make out their battle. Or at least... not the specifics. But one could see when blood would fall, or in some cases fly. At times fur as well. There would be glints of teeth, a flash of claws.

And the horrible sounds. This continued for some time actually... Jeans watching with a grimace written across his canine face.

Which turned to outright horror as a crunch was heard and Jacob was thrown across the room. Jacob slumped there, his entire form shaking. A vicious snarl was across Joe's muzzle, as he leapt towards the wall for the kill...

Only to have Jacob, determination glinting, sink his teeth into Joe's throat from underneath. Joe struggled with the hold, clawing as best as he could, as Jacob brought his teeth down harder...

Until finally, Joe fell limp.

((I was contemplating being evil and plitting this one up but I am nicer than that :P))

simple 04-04-2008 04:18 AM

(OHMYGAHHD! That would have been so mean.)

When Jacob was thrown against the wall, Aisslene had let out a horrible sounding scream, it was shrill, and she jerked viciously at her chains, desperate for freedom.
And then she only saw Joe's body fall limply too the floor...

Aissel's arms dropped as she stared, now at Jacob, with the tears from the moment before glistening in her eyes.
She even tugged on her chains a bit more, in an attempt to get to him, thank him.. And tell him how mush she cared.. no. Loved him.

It seemed as though she had denied it the whole time, maybe to prevent herself from falling into another Joe situation.

"Jacob," she said in a shaky voice as she watched him.
"I-"
She didn't want to say this here, not now.. Because surely she'd cry all over the place.
"I- I'm sorry.."

That wasn't exactly what she'd been aiming for, but it worked for now..

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 04:31 AM

((Haha, yes it would x-x I was gonna split it right after he was thrown :P))

Jacob limped over, and it was clear he had broken a limb. Many of his injuries of course, could not be seen under the fur. But his fur was matted in several places, and his tail didn't move either. One of his ears was torn quite a bit, and a massive set of clawmarks marred his face.

Jeans grimaced, knowing THAT would take time to heal. Hearing Aissel's words, Jacob smiled. "Hey... it's alright," he said, gently nuzzling Aissel. "I told you, I heal fast. And besides..." he added, glancing towards Joe, "You're safe now..."

With that, he gave the best smile he could on a muzzle, and started on the chain bindings with his teeth. Thin chain at least, for him. Meant to hold humans... but not withstand a werewolf. As they snapped, one could see a bit more blood stained the chains.

"Man... Jake... he really messed ya up... we gotta get ya to a safe place!" Jeans said, his tone a worried whimper.

"Hey... it's all fine now," Jacob commented, and after biting the last chain off looked towards Aissel. "I meant everything you know..." he said, his voice a light whisper as he fell silent beside the bed.

"JAKE!" Jeans screamed, nudging his friend. "JAKE! Come on, hang in there buddy! JAAAKE!"

((Er... I really dont mean to be quite this evil, but never fear anyways. I only kill off baddies > > ))

simple 04-04-2008 04:38 AM

(HOMG! YOU HAD BETTER NOT LEAVE ME! OR KILL HIM! TTxTT)

"No," Aissel screamed as she had her arms immediately around his neck.
"No, no, no, no!"

Moving her face back, she began to shake his head a little bit. And now crying didn't seem like such a bad idea.
But the tears had already been there, before he even hit the floor.

"Jake please," she cried. "Please Jake, don't leave me by myself!"

But seemingly, there was no response.
He was.. dead.
But he couldn't be, no, she couldn't let this happen, no!

"Jacob please," she screamed as she shook him. "I love you Jacob, please don't leave me!"

Now the burdening words were free, but freed too late perhaps.

"I love you," she cried into his neck, the blood staining every part of her body.
"I love you.."

(You had better not be offline! D; )

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 04:52 AM

((I wouldnt do that to ya either :P That would just be meeean > >; ))

"Come on man..." Jeans said, his ears flat against his head. "You've been through worse... and now ya have a reason again to stick around... oh man..." Everything seemed to be in slow motion, everything seemed to be stopped.

Jacob didn't move.

In his mind, of course, remained a flicker even as the warmth threatened to live his body. 'She's free now... she'll be okay... she won't have to be involved with this sort of life any longer.... or with me...' He was glad he could save her at least, he thought, as his world grew dimmer.

He could hardly make out her words now. Only... he could make out something. Surely he had heard wrong... he must have...

And then, he heard those words again.

"I'd... I'd never do that..." he told her. "I'd never..."
But his tone again was but a whisper, and he couldn't get his body to move.

He had to... no. No he refused to give in! He would not give in! Not now! Not... not now!

His ear twitched then, as his eyes cracked open a slight. "Aissel... I'd never... really leave you..."

"He's... he's alive..."
Jeans marveled, looking towards Aissel. "We should get him someplace to heal. If he took human form... it'll be grizzly but an easier task..."

simple 04-04-2008 05:02 AM

He was alive, yes!

Aisselene's tears continued as she was recovering from everything, crying into his neck the words I love you, too many times for counting.

Now that he could hear her, she wouldn't stop, nope.
She wanted to make it a point, that if anything happened now, that she loved him.

Aissel didn't even respond to what Jeans was saying about medical treatment. Really she wasn't listening, just crying and confessing, that was all she could do now as she held onto Jacob tightly.

"I should have never made you choose," she cried as she looked down on him, kissing and petting, and holding just about every part of Jacob that was not bleeding.
"It was selfish!"

But really, wow..
If he didn't make it through this Aissel would never function.

(Good, now stays online. :D)

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 05:11 AM

He could hear her, and it brought a smile across his muzzle. Or what one could know would count as a smile. "Hey... it's alright. We all make mistakes right? And I'm still around... it's all good. Just... its okay Aissel.." he added, his tone soothing, if not pained. He wanted to better console her, but knew he was in no state to due so.

"I won't leave..." His body gave a shudder then, and he knew it was trying to overpower his will. The next few minutes would mean either that he stabilized... or not.

He set a massive paw upon her, resting his head in her lap as his body violently trembled again. 'I won't give up... I won't...' he thought to himself, as he lapsed into sleep with a gasp.

Jeans was quiet, knowing too what the next few minutes would bring. He'd hate to see it all go a bad way after this. But... a good eighty percent of the time, fights like this... His gaze was grim as he looked towards Jacob. There was always that twenty percent...

((Haha, fine fine, Ill stick around a bit longer, least til we get him moving again ;)))

simple 04-04-2008 05:17 AM

(Yeah, but see, I gotta sleep in a bit, probably after I reply to your next post.)

Aissel could only guess what was happening, and she knew out of the bottom of her hear that it wasn't good.
Whether Jacob was just sleeping, or dying, Aissel wouldn't allow this, not at all.

"Jacob," she choked out, running her fingers across his face.
"Wake up, please, you can't give up.. You can't leave me."

When she said that, it seemed to work before, so why not say it now, and bring back what she had fallen for.

"Please Jacob, you can't, not now.."

Leona of the Zodiac 04-04-2008 05:25 AM

Jeans had a feeling she would not listen if he tried to explain, so he kept a grim watch. Man... this sucked. Majorly. 'Come on...' he thought.

So close.

The minutes ticked by, as Jacob didn't retain consciousness. It was clear he was alive, by his breathing and how every few minutes he would shudder. Fighting.

Fifteen minutes went by without a movement, and Jeans could not help but wonder if this was a death watch.

Twenty.

The shuddering stopped then, his shaking, as his breathing grew a bit stronger. "I won't leave..." he repeated, and this time he opened his eyes wide. They were unfocused, hazed over with pain, but open. With his tongue, he gently licked her hand.

"I won't leave," he said, his mental tone firmer than before. "Because I want to stay right here... beside you..." And he looked into her eyes, smiling lightly again.

"You didn't think I would be a liar did you?" he teased.
