( Noooo! Don't leainve me! D; )

The impact was terribly massive as Joe flung his body into Jacob's.
Aisselene had been slung a good ten feet at least, her body landing a few feet from a small, yet bigger than her boulder.

Groaning a bit, she sat up to see Joe and Jacob, and the other members of the pack, all in aggressive looking stances.
Her head pounded as she tried to get up; it was bleeding. Looking back at the boulder behind her, she spotted some of her blood in a spatter on it.

Stepping to her feet, she clutched the left side of her forehead, and stumbled towards the forming brawl.

"Joe," she shouted in an unstable voice. "Leave him alone please."

She wouldn't just run, and wonder if Jacob died or not. If he was going down, she was one hundred percent going down with him.

"Pleas Joe," she called, her voice cracking. "I'll go with you, please don't punish him for trying to help me." Stepping a few feet towards them again, the two other peons made their way towards her, wolfish grins flashing towards her.
Were they going to kill her now?

Stepping backwards now, she found herself against the boulder she'd hit before, the two monsters getting closer with each passing second.

(I think I did better this time.)

((Yes you did :3 And sorry, I had to go eat yanno :3 Nommy spaghetti! Anyways, hope this came out alright *phew*))

"Stay out of this," Joseph told her, in a firm tone. "This is PACK business." He showed a flash of his teeth towards the two members of his pack advancing towards her. "Don't let her leave. If she sits still fine. But if she moves... take whatever measures necessary." Looking back towards Jacob then he flashed all of his teeth in a snarl.

"I swear I would have thought your lesson by now cur,"
Joseph spat. "But I'm a fair Alpha. I'll help you remember!" Jacob met his glance, his light blue eyes challenging. This caused the Alpha's anger to rise again, and a moment later a massive claw was brought down onto Jacob's face. One could hear Jacob's resulting howl for the next few miles.

It hurt... it hurt like Hell and the eyes couldn't see but red. But... tehre was another reason he had howled as such and he knew his Alpha would not see it. He just hoped Aissel didn't misinterpret it somehow. Teeth clamped down on Jacob's next then, and were about to tear when anotehr group of wolves started to approach. The wild group, from before.

"Well well, well," said the Alpha, Xavier. "Look at what we have here. In my lands nonetheless. Drive them out boys!" Moments later the tide of wild wolves came surging down, Xavier heading straight down towards Joseph.

"You PLANNED this you traitorous bastard!" Joseph screamed at Jacob, bringing ripping his teeth out from Jacob's scruff. Xavier then lunged towards Joseph, knocking the Alpha out of Jacob's range. "You'll pay for this! You'll PAY!" Jacob, gritting his teeth against the pain thudding in his ears, walked over towards where Aissel was. Was she alright? He would continue to fight... he had told her to trust him after all.

simple 03-21-2008 11:13 PM

(Yummy spaghetti!)

When Jacob's face was torn, Aisselene let out a scream, it was loud and shrill. Her hands covered her mouth as hot tears flowed openly down her face.
Jacob was going to get torn apart.
She didn't care if the others killed her now, she wanted to die in fact. She'd rather die, than have to see someone suffer for her...
The wolves moving towards her suddenly stopped, their ears perked upward as the sniffed at the wind; something was wrong. In the blink of an eye, they were behind Joe.
And then the other Alpha was there in a flash, barking something at Joe. Aissel couldn't hear what he as saying like she could the others, but she knew it wasn't very good.
Joe ripped his mouth from Jacob's neck, and was suddenly tackled by the other Alpha.

Walking towards her now, Aissel focused her eyes on Jacob, whose body was red all over.

Her crying increased, her hands still over her mouth as he approached.

Jumping to him quickly, Aissel wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, still crying, her body now being covered in his blood...
But she didn't care.

Leona of the Zodiac 03-21-2008 11:23 PM

((Indeed, it had meatballs too! :3 And nuuuu, its short x-x))

"Hey... hey. Easy there... werewolves heal quickly, remember?"
he told Aissel, although his body was shaking a light bit. "Don't cry.. if you do that might have to try and lick them all off," he told her, his tone gentle. "Of course then you would be covered in wolf spit..." He sighed.

"Sorry... I didn't think I'd be caught that quickly. I've always been a bit slower. But I can assure you who the victor here will be. Climb on, I'll get us out of here alright?" His tone was apologetic, his ears down. He still could not see from his right eye, and his neck still glistened. It was hard to see how bad the wound was however with his thick fur of course.

Behind them, one could hear the battle rage. He knew the casualties would be low, but important. After all, Joseph never knew the word retreat. His good blue eye met Aissel, as he nudged her shoulder gently. "Come on, there's nothing more to see here alright? I think you would rather not see what comes next..."

simple 03-21-2008 11:35 PM

(Then I'll make mine short too. X3 Yummeh meatballs!)

Sobbing harder, Aissel didn't want to let go.

"No," she said when offered the ride on his back. "I'm not going to hurt you, I refuse."

But after listening to him for a moment, she decided, it would in fact be better if they left as fast as they could.

Upon climbing on his back, she glanced towards the fight, hearing the yelps and growls of the vicious confrontation.
Joe was staring at her now as the other Alpha gripped his neck with iron jaws.
Aissel felt a shiver run down her spine.
As much as she wanted to believe that it was over, she knew it was not.

Leona of the Zodiac 03-21-2008 11:45 PM

((Haha, you caught that too eh? :P Oh yeah, not over yet but certainly buy them quite a bit of time :P And we get to see drama :3))

"Easy now, hang on tight. We're going to need to get a good bit of distance going," he told her. Once he was certain she was latched on tightly he started to run. Unfortunately, since his neck was one of the main areas hurt,it throbbed painfully still. His eye had not cleared up either, which made his perspective slightly awry at best. Still, he was keeping a fairly solid pace all things considered.

"I didn't expect to see them so soon," he added. "But what's done is done. We will get you home, you have family right?" he asked her. He sighed then.

"Just a bit longer..." he added. He continued to run, and run, and run further until they came upon a sort of clearing in the forest. His sides were heaving, and he found himself nearly swaying. But he held as steady as he could. "We can rest here for a time," he told her with confidence, kneeling down again to allow her to slide off. He hoped his neck hadn't been too bloody, he imagined with all of this running it was perhaps still bleeding...

After making sure she was off properly, he sort of collapsed, his massive head between his paws. At least he wasn't in his human form, he imagined the wounds would have looked just ghastly then. "Just give me a few minutes and I will be fine," he told her, although that was not the whole truth. He would need a bit longer than that...

simple 03-21-2008 11:54 PM

(Haha, yes. Oh may gah drama!)

Aisselene knew that everything was not okay as she stood next to Jacob's heaving body. She could tell that he was in a lot of pain, and she knew that it was her fault.

"Actually," she said sitting down next to him. "I moved out of my house, I live in an apartment by myself now..."
Looking down on her hands, she was surprised by the amount of blood that had sunk into her skin.
But she didn't really mind, as most of it had dried up by now.

Moving her hand to the part of his face that wasn't injured, she began to stroke it softly, occasionally wiping some of the blood away so he could retain sight.

"I'm so sorry," she said lying down next to him.
"This is all my fault... If you had died I don't know what-"
Her voice trailed off as she felt herself crying again, even though she had tried desperately to fight it.

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 12:19 AM

"Your own apartment huh? Well... we will get you there then, safe, in one piece," he told her. When she started crying he looked up towards her.

"Hey now, come on. You'll make your eyes all bloodshot that way," he told her, gently nuzzling her. "Besides, I'm not dead right? Right. And my wounds will heal. So there's no reason to cry. We both stand to live anotehr day. Within a day or two you will never know I was injured at all," he told her. Well, perhaps two or three. Even he wasn't sure just how deep his wounds went.

"Its okay," he added quietly. "Look I... call it selfish but I wanted to see you stick around a bit longer, okay?" he asked quietly. "I didn't want to see you end up... well, dead. I kinda wanted to get to know ya a bit better... maybe it was a bit selfish of me but what's done is done. Okay? I just... don't cry like that..." He wasn't sure what to tell her, but he did know it hurt to see her cry like that. Especially when it was himself she was crying over.

simple 03-22-2008 12:37 AM

Sniffing a little bit, she wiped at her face, now smiling. She was happy somewhat..
She happy that he wanted to be with her, that he wanted on know her now...

Reaching up, she began to stroke his face again.
"Okay," she whispered. "I promise I'll try not to cry."
Sitting up now, she stroked his back where he had not been attacked, and began to giggle a bit.

"But if it's one thing we have to do when when we get to my apartment, we need to shower. I have some of by older brothers clothes from like, forever ago, so you won't be naked."

Pushing him a little bit, she began back to his face.
"I'm sorry, I'm just excited about a shower, and a bed, and food... And not having to worry about you being naked anymore. But you have to promise me something, kay?"

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 12:54 AM

"Good," he replied, when she promised she would not cry. That made him perk up a slight at least. He started to relax more as he was stroked, enjoying the feeling. He was too tired to do much else, for the moment at least. A few more minutes...

"Shower?" he asked, giving a slight chuckle. "Oh? Really? I do not smell that bad now do I?" he asked her, quite amused that would be the first things he would think of. Of course, the second thing would be clothes. He glanced down a moment, quite chagrined by this.

"Ah... right. Yes, I suppose it won't do to be without those..." he pondered. Of course, all of this meant being back in his human form for awhile. The part of him, perhaps, that was the most mysterious.

He laughed then. "Not to worry. Those are certainly things to be excited about considering the circumstances." He blinked, when she asked him to promise something. "And what do you need me to promise?" he asked, curious.

simple 03-22-2008 01:04 AM

Smiling, she continued to stroke his face.
"You have to promise not to leave me.."

Staring off in into the distance, she could feel her cheeks flushing. She could easily lie, and tell him that she was scared, and didn't want to die, that him leaving her was dangerous and all that jazz...
But it would have been a lie. She wasn't afraid to die, she was just being selfish. She just didn't want him to leave her alone, even if she was safe.
She wanted him there, period.

She knew she must have sounded silly though, making him promise something as ridiculous as that; he couldn't stay with her forever.
And she understood that, but she did at least want to keep him there as long as possible.

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 01:24 AM

((Aaaaaw :3))

"Y-you want me to stay?" he asked, his tone holding true surprise within. He looked towards her, that surprise reflected in his god eye. A moment later he relaxed, and his tail wagged a slight as he tilted his head and twitched an ear twice.

"I promise.. I won't go anywhere," he replied. "It isn't that easy to get rid of me," he added in a joke, flashing her what would be the equivalent of a wolfish grin. He nuzzled her then, glancing up towards her again.

"Although, this means you will have to put up with my other side too..."
he mused. "I am told I have a tendency to snore..."

She wanted him to stay... that brought a warmth into him he didn't know could be there. What was this feeling? What was it feeling up? He wasn't sure... but he liked it.

simple 03-22-2008 01:39 AM

(Teeheehee!)

Yes!

Laughing a little bit, Aissel fell back into the grass, excited almost. She was happy that he'd agreed to stay with her, and in a sense, relieved. If he had told her no, she wouldn't have known what to do.

"The snoring I can cope with," she said smiling.

Of course she'd cope with it! But suddenly, she remembered her lack of spare bedrooms. She could only imagine him sleeping on her couch, or in her kitchen floor as a giant wolf.

It would take a bit of getting used to of course, but she wouldn't mind it much.

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 01:56 AM

"Are you sure now? The last roommate said I could rumble houses," he warned her, grinning a slight again. He looked over and noted her expression, before getting up. He walked over towards her, tail wagging.

"But if you're sure then," he added, glancing towards her again. "Ready? Now then, I will need directions..." he added. After all, he had no idea where her place even was!

"I am a bit better rested now," he added, kneeling down. "So just climb on and we shall be on our way again. I uhm... actually look forward to seeing what your place is like," he added, his ears twitching once in embarrassment.

((Haha, not long before clothing and kisses now yanno :P))

simple 03-22-2008 02:06 AM

(I know, I am so excited! X3 )

As they began their plight for her apartment, Aissel told him a back route, that way they could avoid stares that would obviously cause a call to animal control.

Aissel felt on top of the world. She loved the wind in her hair, no matter how bloody it was.
They were lucky not to be spotted with all that blood crusted to them. So not only would someone call animal control, they would have also called the police and meds.

As they approached her back door, she smiled, and hopped from Jacob's back onto the concrete.

"Ahh.. Home sweet home!"

Walking up to her back door, she lifted up her place-mat, and jammed the key in the door.
"Now," she said. "Let's see if you'll fit through here.."

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 02:23 AM

And now that he had some rest, Jacob was running in even strides as well. He felt a lot better for the rest, although he knew he would need a few days to heal fully. But he was certain they would have that long at least.

He padded up to the back door, glancing towards it. "Good question..." he said, his claws clicking against the concrete. "And I have a feeling shifting to a naked human form would be uncomfortable for us both, don't you agree?" So... would he fit? It really was a good question.

"Hmmm... I am certainly regretting those extra donuts I had for breakfast this morning," he commented, before sucking it in. "Ladies first," he told Aissel, before he would go in himself. He would fit... just barely he was certain. Why were doors made so small anyways?

simple 03-22-2008 02:33 AM

Entering first as told, Aisselene smiled, then ran into her room, grabbing up a towel, and closing all the blinds.
After a moment, she returned with a towel, so Jacob could cover himself enough to get to the bathroom, and then in and out of the shower.

"Come on in," she stated crossing her arms, a smile abroad.

In her hand was a burgundy towel that was clean, and almost brand new.
She held it draped over her arm, as she waited for Jacob to squeeze through the doorway.
"So," she began. "Would you mind if I showered first? It wont take me long, I promise."

Before Jacob could answer, Aissel had already set his towel on the kitchen counter, and had dashed away to clean herself up; she was quite dirty.

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 03:00 AM

Jacob padded into the room, finding it strange to be so large in such an enclosed area. Cramped even. Which meant... he might be using his human form a lot more than he had thought.

When she asked if she could shower first, he blinked. "Uhm... certainly," he replied, blinking. As she dashed off, he looked towards the towel she had set out. He sighed to himself. He did need to get cleaned off, and that was horribly difficult in this form wasn't it. Plus there was always the wet dog smell and he doubted she would find that pleasant.

So that clenched it, and he shifted into his human form. Looking into a nearby metallic surface, he examined his injuries. They were healing nicely at least, if not a bit sore. It would certainly look better once he had washed the blood off at least. For now, he kept the towel tied around his waist so he could shower.

At least the place didn't feel so cramped now! Although, he did still have that urge to jump onto the sofa. For now, he was busy resisting temptation and waiting his turn...

((Haha, every guy's worst temptation. He'll be a gentleman the first night at least Im sure :P))

simple 03-22-2008 03:10 AM

(Haha, okay.)

When she stepped into the shower, it seemed to take forever to get all the blood out of her hair; it was everywhere. It was under her nails and everything! She would certainly have to throw her clothes away now.

After her shower, she ran with a towel tightly wrapped around her body, into her bedroom, and put on a pair of gray sweats, and a white t-shirt.

In a few moments, she entered the living room smiling.
"Hi," she said while plopping down on the couch.
"I set some clothes out for you on my bathroom counter; you can shower now."

Glancing up at his wounds, she frowned. They still seemed just as horrible as before, now they were only more visible.

(Oh it's short..)

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 04:21 AM

((Oh Im sure the shortness will be made up for later *Facepalms* Haha, Im not much better :P ))

"Heyas," he replied, giving her a light wave. "Heh, guess the clothing part was inevitable huh? I'll kinda miss... heh, uhm... never mind," he replied, blushing quite brightly. 'Don't be so CRUDE!' he chastised himself. He was pretty sure that sort of comment wa sonly appropriate around guys!

He noted her frown as she glanced towards his wounds, and smiled lightly. As he walked past, he sent a hand on her shoulder. "It doesn't feel nearly as bad as it looks," he promised her. Winking his good eye, he then headed towards the shower himself.

The water actually felt really good, getting everything cleaned. Although it did concern him how red the waters ran for quite some time. Man, it was everywhere wasn't it. He had a gash at his shoulder, and his eye was looking quite... pretty. Yeah, that was one way to put it.

Afterwards, he found surprisingly everything he could ask for. Drying himself off, he came out into the front room dressed in a regular pair of khakis and a slim fitted shirt, blue and white. He wasn't sure the effect his wet hair paired with cleaned injuries would create, but he supposed he would find out.

"Aaaah, much better," he said, giving a broad grin as he walked into the living room. He wondered, how was she during this time? Was she coping with it all okay?

simple 03-22-2008 04:40 AM

(Haha.)

Smiling as Jacob came out, she patted the couch.
"Come sit," she said. "It's already seven, so I was going to watch a movie, and you my friend-" Getting to her feet, Aissel dragged Jacob towards, and eventually onto the couch with her. "-are going to watch it with me."

Pulling a blanket off of the right armrest, she draped it over herself knowing Jacob wouldn't need any.

Pulling a remote, and a bag of popcorn off of the end table, she flipped the lights off, and flipped the channel to what appeared to be some sort of horror movie.

"I've never seen this one," she stated as she leaned against Jacob, shoveling popcorn into her mouth left and right.

"Want some?"

Leona of the Zodiac 03-22-2008 05:02 AM

((Sorry, tis late > >; Thank goodness I dont work til late tomorrow! ))

Jacob, not quite having expected this, blinked. "Haha, guess I am," he agreed, settling himself down into the seat. A movie huh? How long had it been since he had watched one of those? He usually wasn't given the time!

"I can't say I've seen it either, what's the title?" he asked. He noted it to be a horror flick and wondered idly if it was one of those 'cool' horror flicks or 'so cheesy its good' types. Or maybe it was the 'HOLY CRAP!' type. He kind of hoped a bit for the latter.

"Popcorn? Oh! Sure," he replied. If it was awkward, it was simply because Jacob didn't really take the time to socialize much in his regular state. He usually used it for business, and not much else. He knew how to communicate as a wolf, but he tended to forget as a human.

He relaxed to the movie, thinking to himself this really wasn't a bad way to spend ones evening at all though. Not bad at all.

simple 03-22-2008 05:15 AM

(Haha, yay!)

She ignored every question that Jacob had thrown at her as the movie started. The blanket at this point, seemed very unnatural as she was next to the human heater, but she didn't just want to throw it onto the floor, and then ask him if he'd mind holding her tightly so she could stay warm.

She rested her body against his for the first thirty minutes of the blood-bath, not really eating the popcorn anymore.

Instead, she stared at the screen with her mouth agape, and her heart pounding in her ears.
And then comes one of those scenes, that she knew was coming... But somehow, a small scream escaped her throat as her face dove into the blanket.
Plugging her ears, she quite loudly announced her plan.

"Nudge me when it's over.."

Leona of the Zodiac 03-23-2008 04:26 AM

Jacob was used to a lot of blood, certainly, but watching this movie even he was thinking to himself it really was a bit much! Folks certainly would not bleed quite that heavily. Well okay, maybe. But still!

Come to think of it, he really didn't want to eat the popcorn either and ooooh. No. That was just wrong! He jumped not from the movie however, but her scream. Smiling a slight at her reaction, he gently took one of her hands to help unplug one of her ears.

"I'll keep you safe from the blood and the gore," he told her with a warm smile. Before he really could think about it, he placed an arm around her protectively after saying this. "Never fear," he added, giving a light grin as he looked towards her for a moment and gave a reassuring smile.

And it seemed, for a moment, it was just the two of them he thought, not even hearing the scream from the television behind him...

((I worked the evening shift again, so I thought I would make it up with a sappy moment :3))

simple 03-23-2008 01:08 PM

(YAY! kissy time, maybe.)

It seemed as though now, all the noise, was gone.
Aissel wasn't even plugging her ears now, she didn't need to. She was in Jacob's arms, and she liked that.

He was smiling down on her, through a battered and bruised body, the body that protected her..
Aissel didn't smile back though, all she could do was sit there like an idiot, and stare up at him.
She knew what she wanted to do...

Leaning up slightly, she paused at his face.
C'mon, it wasn't that hard.... But to her, it was.
She didn't want to scare him off in any way, or make him uncomfortable around her, she really didn't want that.

"I'm sorry.." Suddenly, she sank back down into his arms, a disappointed look about her face as she stared down at her hand; he was still holding her..
