Ezekiel had scooted towards the edge again so that he could reach her. He could stand he was just afraid to go in the water for some reason.
It seemed to him she was getting further away from him and if she just pulled him by the scruff of the neck he'd most likely fall in the water.

And then Verona was just mean, as she suddenly allowed poor Ezekiel, to fall into the water in front of her.
And when he came up thrashing, she laughed, and calmed him down, placing his paws on her shoulders.
"There, all better.."

Ezekiel had ended up inhaling water when he'd fallen in and he started wheezing when he surface. When Verona took his paws though he was extra careful to be sure he didn't let his claws go out at all, or else she'd be injured and he'd never forgive himself for that.
As soon as he'd calmed down though he stared at Verona with a perplexed and slightly annoyed expression. He'd be the one having a hard time getting out this time since he'd be heavier due to the weight of the water in his fur.

Verona was slightly crouched as Ezekiel had put most of his weight onto her body.
But she could manage.
And after a moment, she began to sing a tune from her childhood, as she swung around with Ezekiel.
It was like the night she never got to dance with him..

Ezekiel was confused as they moved about. He didn't understand the motions and it was hard for him to keep on track at first.
His back legs could barely touch the bottom of the river at this point so it was beginning to get awkward for him. He licked her face again trying to get her to stop moving.

Blinking, Verona stopped as she had been in the middle of a word.
"What?" She asked him. "Do you not like my singing?"
She actually had a nice voice.. But it wasn't perfect.

Ezekiel was even more confused. It was the moving around that bothered him. It hurt to move on two feet like this since it was right for this form.
He whimpered softly, tucking his head down before licking her face again. He gently pushed off from her and swam away to find an area where he could easily get out.

Verona pouted as Ezekiel left her.
"Meanie." She said simple, crossing her arms, and sticking her nose in the air.
But moments later, she was swimming around a bit anyway.

Ezekiel found his way to a shallower area and when his feed touched the ground he relaxed a bit. Walking out you could see drop so water coming off of his fur that was now hanging down from the weight.
He shook himself slightly and sent water droplet flying all around. He then looked around and when he found a decent amount of shade he walked over to it and sat down to watch Verona swim around.

Verona moments later, stepped into the shallow end as well, and sat down in the sun, on a large, flat rock.
Her blue night gown by now, was soaking wet, and would need a good washing..
But she still looked as radiant as ever.
She began to pull it off slowly, revealing a white bra and pair of pink panties.
Hey, if she had to be out here, at least she could get a tan.

Ezekiel snorted slightly when she did that but didn't do anything else. He turned his face away from her though and just watched the fish that occasionally swam by him.
After a moment he let out a big yawn and rested his head down on his forepaws, letting his eyes slowly shut so that he could rest here.

Meanwhile, Verona was laying on the rock, eyes closed, soaking up the sun.
She would get tan in no time, if not burnt first. She have to feel careful about how long she stayed out.

Ezekiel ended up rolling over on his back so that he could be more comfortable. His front paws were drooped slightly and his head was back. He twitched slightly before groaning partially out of boredom.
[[time skip to when she's tanned slightly?]]

(Mm-kay. )
It was maybe an hour later, and Verona had fallen asleep on the rock..
The sun was nearly gone now, and it looked as though it might rain. The wind also blew quite a bit.
And there lay poor Verona, beet red, on the rock.
Of course, in the weather as of now, she only looked tan. In normal light, she would be shown as he true color, of a deep red, burnt to a crisp.
A stray raindrop stung her in the face, waking her.
She blinked for a moment, and then sat up, blinking.
How long had she been sleeping?

Ezekiel rolled over onto his side and when the droplet of rain hit him he hissed slightly. He jumped up looking around for something that was going to kill him and growled slightly.
Upon seeing no one but Verona he relaxed and then shut his eyes. He was still in his form because he still wanted to be in the form at the moment. He'd only change back once he'd decided that he wanted to get out.

Getting to her feet, Verona yawned a bit as a massive boom of thunder rolled over the hills.
She picked up her now dry dress, and pulled it on, then walked over to Ezekiel.
"Wakey wakey!" She told him, stroking his face.

Ezekiel purred slightly and rubbed up against her hand slightly. He seemed to be pulling her towards the house again. When he noticed she didn't put her night gown on he trotted over to it and delicately picked it up before bringing it back to her.
He growled slightly as heput it down and shook his head vigorously before he turned so he could no longer see her.

Sighing, Verona pulled her night gown on, and began walking in the direction of the house.
She only shook her head slightly.
For someone with such a bad reputation as Ezekiel's, he sure was becoming a bit like her.

Ezekiel followed her and felt guilty when she shook her head. He had a playful grin on his face those and he ran up to her and then went between her legs and laid down there.
He looked up at her as best he could without looking up her nightgown. His expression was amusing and a bit smug.

Looking down on Ezekiel, Verona found she would never understand him.
"What?" She asked. "Do you want to carry me?"
Really, Verona was very light for her age. Maybe one-fifteen. Very petite, keep that in mind..

Ezekiel nodded his head and his eyes seemed to brighten slightly. He licked her hand again as he stood up slowly.
This action occured to him and he let out of a laughing type sound. The strangest pun he'd heard possible.

Verona only smiled when Ezekiel stood up.
He seemed to fair well with her as he "snickered".
And when he began to walk, Verona wobbled a bit.
She never had very good balance.

Ezekiel looked smug now that he had the responsibility of carrying her. He was walking with a gait that showed this but he made sure to walk so it was easier for someone to balance.
She was much lighter than he expected and when he stepped on a rock he ignored it despite the fact that it left a slightly bloody footprint behind.

Verona hadn't noticed the footprint, and it was a good thing too. She was bound to freak out somewhat, and Ezekiel didn't need that..
The thunder carried far off, bouncing from the trees, rocks, anything that could make it echo.
And the rain was coming down into a light sprinkle. They were lucky they were so close to the home.

He picked up the speed slightly so his feet flashed in front of him. He was careful with Verona though and made sure he was watching his path. The wound seemed to be getting worse as he walked on it and he was glad she hadn't noticed it yet.
They had the medicine at home since Sebastian had picked it up. Sebastian's scars didn't get nearly as bad as some of the ones that Ezekiel had gotten.
