Eric just nodded slightly to her agreement to marry him. He didn't want her heart to budge since it was the entire point. He didn't care about her enough to actually love her even in the tiniest bit.

"Well," he said kindly. "I will be off to share the good news with my father and mother."

He bowed slightly to her before making his way towards the entrance of the house. When he got there he went out to the car, where he'd told a reporter to wait early due to his plan. As he got in the reporter looked fairly excited.

"It's on," Eric said the reporter bluntly. "The date is yet to be decided but she will be my bride soon. Tell everyone there is to be a grand ball at the time of our marriage."

He looked elated though really he was just impatient to get out of the reporter's vasinity. He needed to plan how to get rid of his father but he wasn't sure how he could do that.

((time skip to tomorrow?))

The next morning, Verona lay in bed awake, and still. She didn't want to get out of her bed, and face the world, that was filled with Eric, Mayhen, and lies.

She sat up slowly, but didn't bother to get out of her bed. She just stared at her window, waiting. She knew her mother would be up to her soon, to discuss a date ir something of that matter, and to tell her of how proud she was.

Verona at this point, wished that maybe she were dead, just so she wouldn't have to deal with the stress anymore.
Then maybe she could be with Ezekiel, since he was supposedly dead..

(short.)

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 01:05 AM

Ezekiel had woken early for some reason. There was a buzz outside about something important occurring in town and he had been curious. Helen had threatened him so he'd ended up staying inside.

It was a bit later when Sebastian came in with a grave look on his face. There were a few scratches along his jaw line and you could see scars from before too.

"It's bad," he stated. "Apparently your brother Eric is going to marry your dear Verona."

Ezekiel had turned pale at this moment with both angry and anxiety. He was up from where he was in a minute trying to get things together since he absolutely had to get to town to see Aldous. It just simply could not be true.

"Be reasonable son," the woman began to say. "You can't go, you'll be killed."

Ezekiel ignored Helen as Sebastian began to prepare a few things. He'd learned a few lessons in magic from Helen and could easily disguise Ezekiel as his brother. When he'd managed to get Helen to go away he brought the new Ezekiel who had blond hair and was a bit shorter. They got to horses and immediately started off towards town.

"Do you think we could make it before any news officially get outs?" Ezekiel asked.

"Knowing your brother," Sebastian said. "It'll only take a few hours to get the entire city to know."

As they were speaking Eric was planning a city announcement. He would have Verona there as proof, his little trophy to put in his cabinet of all his future accomplishments.

It hadn't been quite that early when he'd found the driver and began to make his way towards Verona's house. His impatience seemed to grow as he drew closer and he knew his father would be gone soon.

((fun post ^_^))

"Verona."

Verona's mother entered through her door slowly.
"Verona dear, Eric is coming to get you, you should dress now."

Amelia left just as soon as she'd come in, and Verona was already out of her bed. If it was one thing she didn't want, was Eric watching her dress.
Quickly, Verona put on a frilly looking pink, and white dress that was strapless. And to further imprint his value, Verona wore Ezekiel's jacket.

She threw her hair up into a small and tidy bun, prepared to take her leave now.

She gracefully walked down the stairs, only to see Eric waiting for her.

The sadness seemed to return.

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 01:27 AM

"Faster please," Ezekiel begged. "It's important."

Sebastian just shrugged slightly since he couldn't make the horses go any faster than they were. It seemed hours before the reached the outer limits of town and then to get to Aldous' shop.

When they arrived they both quickly dismounted and tied the horses to an area that Aldous had created in the past year and went inside. He of course was waiting there due to the fact he did not want to see the announcement.

The announcement Eric would make was clear and concise. He'd planned it already and when he saw Verona he smiled. The jacket didn't bother him though he had a feeling he knew why she wore it. If she didn't cooperate at all he knew exactly where Ezekiel would be during the speech.

He'd already gotten people set up for his father the next day while eating lunch. It would be a good shot too. He was excited and he opened the door for Verona.

"Now smile," he said. "We don't want anyone thinking I just picked you up randomly."

When she'd gotten in the car he got in after her. As soon as he closed the door the driver pulled away towards the city square. The bells had tolled a while ago and were tolling again due to the importance of this announcement. He felt giddy with excitement as he sat in the back trying to contain his energy.

simple 03-27-2008 01:37 AM

Verona didn't bother to even look at Eric as the neared town, much faster than she thought humanly possible.
It was like time had blurred, and then they were just there.
As they pulled to a gentle stop, Verona felt the urge to cry, and run and scream, and get shot or something.
She wanted out!
This in itself was much worse than death was, oh, so much worse.

Nothing could beat the feeling she got as she emererged from the limo, Eric's hand around hers, pulling her through the crowd of townspeople and cameras.

As they neared a podium, she found herself smiling out at the excited people before her.

At least, maybe things wouldn't be so bad if she acted like she was enjoying this.

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 01:49 AM

Aldous almost immediately led the two to the second floor above his shop. He turned the small box that was used for viewing things, such as important announcements as these and they all settled down to see what horrendous event would unfold itself.

When Eric reached the podium he looked confident. He approached with no hesitance and made sure his arm was wrapped securely around Verona's waist before speaking.

"Ladies and Gentleman," he began, leaving a dramatic paused after the beginning. "This week has been full of both happiness and sadness. Despite the recent banishment I have been able to find love after all."

He took a pause at this part to look down at Verona with a smile. It looked genuine and could fool almost anyone. Ezekiel did not fall for it though.

"I am here to inform you all that there will be a wedding. Myself and this lovely young woman right here will be wed before the month's end."

The crowd seemed pleased and began to chant something. Eric listened and pulled Verona into a kiss.

Ezekiel stared wide eyed at the screen, looking more ill than a dying person. He felt something strange and he nearly started yelling at the box. He was in tears now as if his heart had just been ripped from its place. A foul brother indeed.

simple 03-27-2008 01:56 AM

When Eric kissed her, it was more than just a sweet and simple pop kiss, it was more of a romantic type kiss.
She hated it.
The crowd cheered wildly as he two of them stood before them, Eric, being sure to torment her as much as possible.
When he pulled away, Verona smiled, and made it look real.
It was all she could do now. If she were to blatantly smack him here and on the spot, everything would go to ruin.
No. She would wait till he was sleeping...

Eric said something that Verona hadn't listened to, and then began to step down with her.
It seemed to be, 'I thank you all', and 'I love you Verona'.

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 02:05 AM

Ezekiel looked like he was about to die. He'd figured how the extent of his feelings for Verona, but not in the way that he wanted to. He was sitting there like a stone now, just staring off into space.

The shock that Ezekiel took was overwhelming for Sebastian and he almost immediately left. He was ready to leave as soon as he was sure Verona was home. He needed to get her there soon so that Ezekiel wouldn't do anything stupid.

Eric had gotten in the car after the speech and seemed relieved. His plan was to drop her off at her home and then leave her there for a while before coming back later that night with his parents to discuss the actual wedding arrangements.

simple 03-27-2008 02:21 AM

As soon as the limo was clear of all eyes, Verona tackled Eric, and began to viciously smack him.
"Don't you ever kiss me like that again," she screamed at her.
"Don't you ever once think that you can ever, ever, ever touch me in that way!"

Smacking him one last time, Verona fell back into her seat and wiped her face free of tears.

After a bit, she was back home. Eric didn't even bother to walk her to the door this time.
But she was happy for that.

When she walked in, she fell onto the floor in front of the door, sobbing in hysterics.

Her parents weren't home luckily..

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 02:27 AM

It had been a few moments before Sebastian immediately raced towards Verona's home. His white horse seemed to sense the urgency as it's hooves clomped on the street loudly as they went by the confused pedestrians.

He knew the way only because he could remember living here as a child, a very young child. No one knew him now and could never understand why exactly he was doing this craze act.

Upon reaching the door he knocked, his hands unsteady with nervous energy. he was trying not to let Ezekiel's overwhelming emotion effect him. He'd changed a lot since he had been lost while his family was on vacation but his animals hadn't.

His animal was a lion, signifying is extreme arrogance and need for control. He had never been destined for anything powerful. He'd only be there to watch his cousin and his cousin's kids.

simple 03-27-2008 02:36 AM

Half expecting it to be her parents, Verona reached up and turned the nob.
When she spotted Sebastian running in, she got to her feet, scared of this crazed looking man, and blinked.
"Who are you," she demanded as she wiped her face.

Walking over to him, she noticed a resemblance to Ezekiel within his face.
It wasn't like Eric's, but it was certainly enough to know that they were related.

"Do you have some kind of connection to Ezekiel?"

By that, she meant,' are you related to him'!?

Walking back towards his direction, she felt a happiness residing over her, Ezekiel must not be dead.

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 02:47 AM

"Just come with me," Sebastian said. "I need to tell Ezekiel something anyways. He should know soon because his life depends on it."

He was a bit crazed at the moment because he was trying to keep high hopes in a dismal situation. It was becoming a struggled for him as he began to pace back and forth.

When they finally got out of the house he helped her up onto the horse and he got on behind her so he knew she'd be safe.

Almost immediately they were off again. He was making sure no one would be able to tell who she was until she was inside. The words repeated over and over again in his head as the horse ran.

The horse came to a halt in front of the store and he got off. He went to help her almost immediately due to so much he'd learned from Helen. Maybe he'd be able to sneak Verona out of this blasted city and save her from anymore humiliation with the vile Eric.

simple 03-27-2008 02:58 AM

When they walked through the doors, Sebastian rushed up the stairs, with Verona following him intently.

When they got the the top, Verona saw, and heard Ezekiel crying hysterically in front of the window. He looked absolutely terrible, even though he was disguised.
She could tell it was him though.

Walking over to him slowly, she wrapped her arms around him,"Ezekiel.."

He looked down to see her, and then she felt her face wet. Now, she was crying.

"Ezekiel," she sobbed now sinking down into the floor.

She fell down crying, she knew he must have seen it, because you know, it wasn't a very pleasant sight..

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 03:11 AM

Ezekiel barely heard her at first but when arms wrapped around him he thought he was hallucinating. When he heard someone crying though it sank it.

Seeing her like this tore him apart and he wrapped his arms around her gently. Sebastian lifted the small spell he'd place so he could be comfortable as someone familiar to himself.

"Please," he begged. "Please don't do this if you can."

Sebastian was still struggling slightly and Aldous was beginning to notice a difference in his demeanor. Something was familiar about the boy that he hadn't noticed before.

Sebastian was around the age of twenty-two, the age that was thought to be the one of the lost cousin from the Singston family. There were a few visible scars ons his arms that also looked familiar.

"Who exactly are you," Aldous asked after a moment.

simple 03-27-2008 03:20 AM

Verona could not stop herself as she cried into Ezekiel's arms. After this, she would never leave him, no matter what Eric threatened to do to her. Whatever it was, would never be as bad as this..
"Ezekiel," she whispered as she settled into his arms a bit. "This time, I won't leave.. I am staying with you."

Aldous couldn't help but wonder about all of this mess.
And, this new man.. Things seemed so familiar..
But he couldn't quite pinpoint why.

Verona on the other hand, didn't care. She was more wrapped up in being with him. That was all that mattered to her now as she sat in his arms. This time, no matter how many times he told her no, she would follow him, no matter what it took.
That was when she realized it, her feelings were more than just a simple admiration..

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 03:32 AM

Ezekiel didn't move as he let Verona cry in his arm. He didn't want to leave her but deep down he didn't want to endanger anyone. He wasn't sure who he'd endanger anyways.

When he realized something he seemed to stop breathing for a second. He was experiencing extreme joy and something was wrong. He wasn't changing. He looked perplexed and looked down at Verona.

"Verona," he said softly. "Somethings changing, not me that is. I'm not changing I mean. The curse has been lifted."

Sebastian gave him a jealous look before shuddering slightly. He had to control himself to keep the secret but he had to tell someone. He turned to Aldous instinctively due to the fact he remembered him from visits to the store when he was younger. It had been a long time ago.

"Aldous," he said softly. "Do you remember a little boy coming in here with his mother? He is named Sebastian."

simple 03-27-2008 03:43 AM

"Wh-what?" Verona didn't know what he meant. How did you lift the curse anyway? Was it even possible..?
But it didn't matter at this point, she was with him, and he was safe.

Aldous felt his eyes growing wide,"That was you!"
Aldous was take aback as he stared at Sebastian.
He didn't know what to say, what could he say?
There was nothing in his throat as he tried to form words. But he came to no avail.

Bringing her hands to Ezekiel's face, Verona stared up into his eyes.
"Ezekiel," she began. "How do you break the curse?"

She wanted to know now, she had to? Even in a time like this, she felt excited to know what it could have been, or what it was.

"How Sebastian," Aldous asked. He was mostly on the quiet side, not wanting to disturb the two in front of the window.
"How is that possible?"

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 03:51 AM

"Well," Sebastian began. "When I was lost I was really forgotten because Eric was in such a rush to get home. It wasn't till a few years later that I found that Eric had purposefully done that to get rid of me. Luckily I was found by a woman named Helen and she's been like a mother to me ever since."

He seemed to have shrugged slightly. He lifted his arm in slight embarrassment for not having come back sooner since he missed his sister so much. He doubted she'd believe who he was but he knew he had to tell her some day.

He knew to be quiet though because the two at the window seemed to be in a bit of a deep conversation.

Ezekiel seemed a bit lost and he couldn't answer Verona's question. He paused slightly as he remember seeing her wearing his jacket on the screen. He hadn't noticed it.

"When you.. It was... I don't know," he said with a slight intonation in his voice that connoted excitement. "I just... I love you Verona."

It seemed to click slightly after he said it. None of his other relatives had truly fallen in love with someone as kind hearted and pure as she was. He had felt something strange inside of him when he saw her kissing his brother on the screen.

simple 03-27-2008 04:03 AM

"Really," Aldous said with a frown. "And then, we come back to Eric.."
Aldous didn't like Eric one bit. He was at least thirty times worse than Ezekiel was. Or, before he met Verona.
"All Eric, huh?"

Verona didn't know what to say to Ezekiel..
Blinking for a second, she could feel a smile fall upon her face. Her heart began to race. "Really," she exclaimed. "You really love me!?"

She gripped him even tighter, pulling her face up to his neck.

He loved her... Wow. Someone other than Mayhen actually cared about her.

Verona ran her hands through his hair.
"I love you too," she whispered to him.
And then, she just felt, happy again. It was like a big burden had been lifted..

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 04:11 AM

Ezekiel looked shocked by her words though it was exactly what he wanted to hear. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. He was even more frightened than before.

"Please come with me than," he said. "At least until things get sorted out here."

He glanced at Sebastian who seemed to be occupied. Their only way out was through him and his ability to easily sneak people in and out of the city.

"It was all Eric," Sebastian confirmed.

He stopped talking though when he felt eyes on him and he glanced at the two by the window sill. He was slightly shocked by the fact that Ezekiel had already solved his curse problem and he was a bit jealous. He looked a bit more pleasant upon seeing them though.

"I think that we can say it'd be a decent idea to get the news out about Eric," Sebastian said. "I'll bring them to Helen's and come back tomorrow. Make sure Veronica is here when I arrive since she will easily recognize me even though we haven't seen each other for years."

simple 03-27-2008 04:23 AM

Verona nodded. Why wouldn't she go with him, it was what she wanted, so badly..
She did love him, and she would do anything to keep it that way.
Verona would live, and die with him now.

Aldous nodded at every word Sebastian said.
He understood perfectly, and he knew Eric all too well for him to simple want to marry Verona out on a whim.
He wanted power, and he knew how to get. And he would get it, no matter what got in his way.

Verona slowly began to get to her feet, she wiped at her face, then smiled. She waited for Ezekiel to get up now.
Looking over towards the two, Aldous smiled, they seemed so content with each other..

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 04:28 AM

Ezekiel stood up with Verona and made sure he had her hand in his. If he were to be forced to let go they'd have a trouble doing so.

"All right," Sebastian said to Verona and Ezekiel. "Today it might be a bit too easy to sneak her out. I like a bit of a challenge. Anyways so she'll ride with me half way back to Helen's and then for both of you she'll switch at that point to Ezekiel's horse. He'll have to be in disguise until we get into Helen's place."

Ezekiel merely nodded. He hated this idea but he'd go along with it anyway. Is desire to be close to Verona had become overwhelming over the past few minutes that it seemed he could not be separate from her that long. He knew she'd be safe though.

simple 03-27-2008 04:41 AM

Verona nodded, and stepped over to Sebastian.
"I'll be fine Ezekiel," she said suddenly. Leaning up, she popped him a quick kiss, and then followed Sebastian down the stairs.

Verona herself didn't like the idea of splitting up,
but she knew it would be the best idea if they wanted out.

She followed him through the doors, and stopped with Sebastian in front of a horse.

Things would be better now, she told herself. And this time, it was believable. Things could actually turn out okay this time.

DelilahHeart 03-27-2008 09:37 PM

Sebastian helped Verona up onto the horse again. When she was well hidden the started off. Ezekiel would follow in five to ten minutes.

Ezekiel had just nodded slightly as he thought about not being with her. He shuddered slightly after she left and seemed to be lost for a moment.

It was a few minutes later, after they'd left on the horse, that he went outside. He was wearing a cloak so it was hard to see his figure. After mounting the horse he road off and what was a natural speed. When he could he urged the horse to go faster.

For some odd reason he was afraid of his brother. The idea of his brother taking control of the factory alone scared him. The idea that he had almost complete control, despite the presence of the king and queen, was even more frightful.
