A huge smile spread across Ebony's face as the man said 'yes'. She began to fidle with her money pouch. She really wanted to pay for half but Moki was adoment that he would pay for it. She looked at him and smiled again. This time so much more warmly. She felt better now, although she couold tell she would be ill tomorrow.

Moki got out his money and put on the counter 6 fat gold coins.
"The cost is 7 coins, sir," the man told him. Moki dugg into his pocket and found he only had 2 coins left. He took one of them and placed it on the counter. |
Ebony fell silent again. She reached over and gave him back two of his coins. She placed two of hers on the counter. "At least let me pay that. I have 10 coins left now. Please" She looked deep into Moki's eyes and pleaded with hers.

Moki shook his head, "You'll need that for food." he told her. "I'll take care of the cost of the room, okay?"

"Fine" Ebony said in a strop. She turned to face to floor and felt herself about to sneeze. She resisted it though and stayed silent.

Moki turned to the man, "Um, where is our room." The man pointed at the end of the hall. Moki nodded, "Thanks, uh... c'mon Ebony." He felt awkward, as though he just did something wrong.

Ebony followed after Moki still with her head turned to face the floor. They approached the room and she stood by Moki's side as he unlocked the door.

It was a small room. There was only one bed in there, a drawer and a side cabinet. "It's um... nice I guess..." he said. What he really wanted was Ebony's opinion.

"It's shealter, so it's better than nice" She said. She knew Moki was feeling bad now and decided to stop acting childish. He was right and they did need the money. She looked at him sweetly.
"I'm sorry for being immature and childish" She said solemnly. All she wanted was for Moki to forgive her. She smiled once more. |
"It's okay," Moki told her. "I forgive you. I just realized how lost we are. We are in a town from our pasts. Oddly enough, we found eachother, both of us having pasts in that last building."

"Oh yeah" Ebony was begining to see that also. She was getting a strange feeling in her stomach. Maybe this was meant to be. "Maybe we were meant to meet like this. Maybe it's destiny2 This sounded silly to everyone but Ebony believed in things like that. Fate and Destiny and so on.

Moki hugged Ebony. He suddenly had thoughts swimming all over his head. What was he doing? What if she thought him crazy for doing this?

Ebony's face burnet a scarlett/red colour. She slowly raised her hands and placed them gently around Moki' neck. She burried her face in his shoulder so he would not see her pinkish face. She smiled inside her head and a fuzzy feeling filled her up from her toes to her cheeks.

"You think I'm crazy, don't you?" Moki asked Ebony. "We've only known eachother maybe a day and I..." he couldn't say any more. Words started to fade into nothingness. The right words couldn't come. Where there even words invented that could describe his thoughts?

"No. I don't think your crazy at all" Ebony smiled once more into Moki's shoulder. She hugged him tighter. "We might have only known eachother a day but I think, I believe we were destined to meet. Maybe not quite the way we did. But who knows?" She felt her eyes burning. Tears began to well up in them and she had to force them back. Moki would think she was silly if she started to cry again.

Moki wiped away a few of her tears, "I think that may be true. I never felt closer to anybody cause I thought we weren't supposed to meet. It's odd, but I feel it's right."

Ebony smiled at Moki. She was tired and weary, but he made her feel warm inside.

"Ebony, I don't know about you, but I have the feeling that despite the creepiness that has gone on today, this is one of the best days I ever lived," he told her. He was being sappy, he knew it. |
Ebony smiled at him so warmly she felt it burn her cheeks. "Mine too" She smiled again, this time more tears welled up in her eyes. She looked deep into Moki's eyes and felt weak. He had lovely eyes. She loved it when guys were soppy. It showed that they had a soft side. But Moki was different, and she knew it. She felt close to him. Like she knew him inside out. She wanted to know more.

Moki felt odd. He never had this feeling before. For a slight moment he though- "Ebony, what would you say if I told you I might have fallen for-" he stopped himself. It was crazy to think this, but he couldn't fight the feeling. |
Ebony looked at Moki and she knew he had something on his mind. "What do you want to tell me? I know there is something so dont say nothing. You can tell me, I dont mind" She pleaded with her eyes. She was good at this.

Moki blushed, he didn't want to say it, but he forced himself to anyway, "I think... I may have fallen for you." He hid his face, he was being weak. He felt like a shy 5 year old girl.

Ebony placed her hand under Moki's chin. She prised his head out odf his hands and kissed his cheek. "I feel the same. I dont know what yor so worried or shy about. It's normal to fall for people" She giggled and hugged him close to her.

Moki blushed even more when she kissed his cheek. He was proving to be very childlike. He couldn't even be a man in front of Ebony. "I wouldn't know normal, I grew apart from people..." |
"What happend? Has someone hurt you?" Ebony held Moki close, then realised that he must be squashed, so she let go and walked over to the window. She stared out and smiled to herself. Surely this couldnt be it. She really liked Moki, but was he just playing with her heart? She had no idea.
