(Yay for drama. XDD)

What Reno had to say, was in all respects, logical. But in Danae's head, it was nothing normal.. Her mind turned circles, as he seemed to be saying that he didn't want her. She just couldn't tell. All she did understand though, were his last four words.. But, they didn't seem like enough now.

Nodding slightly, she bit her lip.
"Okay Reno..."

Scooting from under him quite quickly, she exited the room, leaving him behind.
She even passed Elena and Rude without a word. She did seem to be crying a bit though..

She didn't exactly know where she was going. She was just turning down every hallway she could. And no matter how much her side hurt, she wouldn't stop. She wanted to be as far from everyone as she could.. Alone..

((DX OH NOES!!! *smacks Reno* GREAT! Thanks for screwing up so badly!
Reno: ...?.?))

He watched her leave, silent...and confused...he'd only told the truth...but...somewhere within his words...lay the thorn that he was sure had stabbed Danae....right in the heart...and he didn't know what to do to remove it...

Rude whistled through his teeth.
"Well....looks like it's happened.."
"What?"
"Reno's screwed up....really badly by the looks of it."
"Then Danae......she really was crying wasn't she?"
"Looks to be the size of it..Elena..why don't you try talking to her...if nothing she still needs to stay here...outside is too dangerous right now."
"Sure Rude...I'll do my best."
She sighed and headed off to find Danae and hopefully straighten things out....if it was possible at the moment.

(Tee hee! I had to do it! I couldn't make heads or tails of what he said anyway. XD)

Danae clearly, was lost. She was even crying so hard, that she couldn't even see where she was going anymore.
She'd come to a dead in, and curled up in the corner, her face to the walls. She hid her face in her knees, and hair, and arms. She didn't want anyone to see the foolish little girl cry.
She was a foolish little girl, wasn't she..? It was stupid to even think that she'd get lucky like that.. But she could forget, right?

She could sneak out in the middle of the night, and return to her boring, and pleasure-less life. She'd get that job, grow old, and die.
That was what she'd do. She would go on, and pretend that none of these people ever existed; that all of this was a dream.. She would tell herself that over and over, until she believed it.
She could do that, yes.. It would work.
She would forget the nightmare, once and for all.

((If that's the case, that was the best B.S EVAR!!! XDDD A very emotional girl could have taken it that way in any case XDDD))

"Danae!" Elena scoured the halls for any sign of her...walking up and down corridors that she may have run to...she stopped and sighed.
"Danae.....where did you run off to?" With a shake of her head, she was walking again poking her head into every corner of the Shin-Ra building.

There was one however..that knew where she was....he was sitting in his office...mulling over some paperwork that really had nothing to do with anything...when he spied her on one of the screens next to his desk.
Elena looked lost on the other one...Rude was in Reno's room and looked like he was giving advice on something or another...and there...there in the bottom of the corner of the television...sat Danae...curled up in a ball crying to herself. Teseng sighed....well...why the hell not? Not like he had anything else to do......what with the lack of information on the three avatars he had. He pushed back from the desk and headed out and down the hall to where Danae was.

(Haha, oh. XD)


Still balled up Danae didn't even want to know if anyone was coming after her. She had heard Elena faintly, but her voice faded away; Danae was thankful for that..
Though, she had no idea who was on their way. If she had, she probably would have began to flee again.
She wouldn't have gotten far though.. Not like this.

She heard the steps after a few moments, and her head seemed to jerk up. She turned her head slightly, to see Teseng, in all of his horror, walking towards her.
Crying now, was going to get her in trouble too. She knew it!

Getting to her feet quickly, she wiped her face, but continued to cry.
"I'm sorry," she told him, still wiping. "I'll go cry somewhere else, I'm sorry."

He sighed.
"Is everyone around here under the impression that when I'm around it means that I'm going to chew them out?" He scratched his head and looked at Danae with a discerning look on his face.
"Well......" He leaned against the wall.
"What did that idiot do this time? Rude seemed to be all but giving him down the road for something, and now you're here? ....What'd he say?"

Choking out another sob, she fell back to the floor, and hid her face again.
"I don't even know.." She did know.
And it hurt a lot of course. That was why she was crying.
She needed to vent right? And Teseng was conveniently placed beside her... hmm..
But instead of being able to find any words, Danae fell over onto the floor, and sobbed harder.
Teseng wouldn't have been able to understand her anyway..

Another sigh...and he stepped over to her, kneeling down and digging out one of his precision pressed handkercheifs.
"Here, you look like you need it more than I do now anyway." He stepped back and slid down to sit on the floor his legs bent near his chest.
"Let me guess.....he tried to make it seem like you wern't the reason he left to go after those three at all did he? And in the process...you've deemed it that he doesn't care a thing for you. Two sobs for yes, one for no, if you please."

Instead of sobbing, she nodded slowly. But the tears didn't cease.
She took the handkerchief from Teseng and began wiping her red eyes with it.
Things didn't make sense though.. He acted like she didn't matter, yet, he had proceeded to call her special..?

Reno just had to be stupid.

"I just don't understand him Teseng.. I don't.. Not any of this..."

The Scarecrow....felt his lips twitch...this was a new sensation...he was actually smiling.
"If I were in your shoes I don't think I would either." He looked up at the ceiling and all it's flourescent glory.
"You're here with people you barely know, been attacked twice now by beings that no normal human could fight....and by the look on your face you've had your share of heartache within the last little bit too haven't you?" He let his head fall to one side.
"But think about this: When Reno found you after learning of your disappearance...how did he look? What did he do when you were injured?" He nodded.
"Men don't say a lot of the things that women want to hear....but our actions tend to be how we speak...a man can live or die by the things he does.." He rose to his feet and offered her a hand up.
"If you want to stay or go that's your choice....I'm only here to see where the avatars go...I don't intend to let them escape us a third time." He paused...and smirked.
"If you want to stay, however, I'll see what I can do about coming up with some hot tea to calm you down."

Still wiping her face some, Danae listened to everything that Teseng had to say. She even took his hand, and got to her feet, still crying.
"Can I just go home..?" She asked him, more in a sob than anything.

She was getting out of the bad dream, once and for all. She would forget, and get over everything that happened to her.
She would go on with her pathetic, little life..

"I just want to go home..." Pulling Teseng in for a hug, she cried more.
It wasn't so much of a hug though, as much as it was trying to keep her balance..
"I just wanna go home.."

And like stated earlier, she would.. She'd forget...

Teseng stood there....then slowly....very, very slowly put an arm around Danae's shoulders.
"Alright." He said softly.
"Alright....I'll be waiting in the garage when you've got everything...I'll drive you whereever you need to go." It was the least he could do considering the state that she was in.

Nodding, Danae wiped her eyes a bit more, and then sulked off. Surprisingly, she could remember the way she'd run.. And then there it was... That room.. She didn't want to even pass the room he was in.. But she wanted to say goodbye to Rude, and she would.

Stepping through the door slowly, Danae sniffed a bit.

"Goodbye Rude.." she said approaching him.
"Is it okay if I have a hug..?"

Her last words border lined tears. You could hear her voice shaking now, as she tried desperately, to keep herself together.

"Please..?"

"Goodbye?" Rude and Reno both looked at Danae...and Rude, knowing then what she meant nodded silently and moved beside her.
"We'er gonna miss you kid, take care out there...you might want to let Elena know that you're gonig before she flips her lid again alright?"
"Wait...Danae..." Reno tried to rise but his injury kept him in place.
"Danae...where are you going!? Talk to me! Please!"

Wrapping her arms around Rude, she stayed pressed against him for a few seconds, then nodded. She planned on finding Elena too, and apologizing for all the trouble.. Really, it was all for nothing.

"I'm sorry for being such a pain.." She said, pulling back from Rude. "I'll miss you too.."

Danae didn't look at Reno, she didn't acknowledge him. She treated him like he didn't matter...Like he wasn't even there...

And slowly, Danae walked towards the exit of the room. It was sadly, the same pace at which she entered.
Stopping at the door she sort of stood there..waiting almost.
"Bye Rude.." She said softly, her hand on the handle to leave.

Then, she looked back at Reno, very slowly. Her eyes were bloodshot and red, her skin pale. She no longer, was the happy go lucky girl from before. It was like part of her had died..
One last tear slid down her cheek, and then it was over...

She opened the door abruptly, and then left, her sobs quiet as she could make them.

(Awww noo. Okays, night!)

Rude sighed and waved as Danae walked out.
"Rude! What's going on!? Why's she leaving!?" When the door shut he turned around.
"Cuz of some stupid thing you said, Elena and me heard everything, Geeze Reno how stupid can you be at a time like this, you sounded as if you didn't even care that she was wounded in the first place, like it was all about your stupid pride as a TURK."
"I..wha--but I--"
"Tell that to her, not me Reno, or she's going to walk out that door, and you're never going to see her again." He sighed and headed for the door.
"Aw, forget it, you don't care one way or the other do you?" He started out the door when he heard a crash behind him.
He looked back with a smile.
Reno was standing, although it seemed to pain him, he was standing.
"I've just got to catch her before she gets out to the garage right? I think I can make it..." He held onto his side, and walked to the door, shoving Rude out of the way.
"If that's really what it sounded like....then...then at least I have to apologize before she goes....if only that." Rude smirked as he headed down the hall.
"Well it's about damn time...."

Danae kept herself at a steady pace now. She needed to find Elena. Judging though by the calls she'd heard earlier, it would be difficult. She didn't even stop when she heard all of the racket behind her either.
She didn't care anymore.. Danae decided that she was through with this place. She was!

Moving a bit slower now, she came to a complete halt. Her side by now, was aching, and throbbing with pain. She'd been moving too much, and she knew it. She didn't even care about Elena now..she just wanted out.
She slumped to the floor slowly, choking out a few sobs. She couldn't do it..

Danae broke down again. She sobbed, and choked, and gasped, clutching her side.
Her crying was making it even worse now.. But she didn't care. She should just die now.. Curl up, and die in a hole... No one would care.

"Danae!" Reno hadn't really expected to catch up with her this soon, at least she'd stopped for the moment. He hobbled a bit closer and sighed...great...she'd started crying again..
"Danae..." He said softly.
"Look...I know you could probably care less if I just up and died right now...and..I'll admit...it's probably no more than I deserve....but....can..can I at least say I'm sorry? I think....I may have screwed up when you came...I know..I hurt you....and for that....aw hell, I'm sorry alright! If it makes you feel any better stand up and hit me or something alright? Just don't sit there and ignore me!" He slumped against the wall holding his side with a grimace.
"I....I can't apologize if you ignore me...."

(I know, right? XD)

Danae didn't even look up; she knew the voice too well, and she didn't care for it...
She didn't seem to gasp much now, just cry..and he head was throbbing just as bad as her side was.
What was she supposed to say to him? That he was forgiven? Why should he be..?
What made him so special, as to deserve forgiveness from her..
She didn't have anything to say to him, not now. Not really anything, anymore.
Obviously, yes, he'd hurt her...a lot.

"Just...go back Reno..." Still not facing him, she tried not to cry amongst her words, but failed.
"Go back to being whatever you were before! Leave me alone so I can forget you!"

That was all she wanted now.. She wanted his memory, gone. She wanted it erased, forever if she could.
Reno no more.

He stood there....this was one demand that he couldn't acknowledge.
"No." He said simply.
"I'm not going back....you may want to forget me Danae....but...I can't, and won't, forget you." He moved in front of her and knelt down with a sigh.
"Danae....if...if you were any other girl then yes, I'd go back in that room and forget all about you. I'd never let you cross my mind again, I'd go back to being a TURK and like it, but if I did that now....without saying anything....I'd never forgive myself. Danae....I never meant to hurt you....I....I screwed up. I'm sorry....that's all I can do right now, I can only tell you and mean the words I say....and hope..that the one I love gets it in her head to forgive me."

Danae listened to him deny her now. Since he cared so little for her, why should he have a problem forgetting..?
But...what..? Love..?

Danae looked up at Reno now, awestruck in a way. She didn't understand.. What was he even babbling about now?
"W-what..?"

Now what was she supposed to say..? What had he even said? She wasn't so sure anymore.
But she wanted to listen somewhat now.. She was obligated to almost.
"Reno...what..?"

WHAT!? WHAT!? Exactly.

He smiled, his face taking on an almost cat-like smile.
"You heard me." He said brushing a hand over her cheek.
"Now that I've had time to think...I'm pretty sure now, that you're the one I love...you know, that emotion most commonly expressed by spring. Spelled L-O-V-E. Surely it's not that hard to figure out."

WHATT!?

Danae's eyes grew large suddenly. The tears still fell of course, but not like they were before. They were just sort of there..
"L-love..?"

Sitting there for a moment, she stared at Reno. How was this even humanly possible..?
"Are you sure..?"

Great, now she was asking him silly questions.

"Yes, Love." He smiled shaking his head. He pressed her forehead to his and chuckled.
"I'm sure...that is of course....if you accept my apology, if you don't then I guess this is a moot point and you'll be wanting to get out of here and never see my face again, right? I'll just go ahead and tell Teseng that you're still wanting to go...you already told me to forget about you right? I'm sure that you're just dying for me to get out of your face and let you leave." He sighed and stood.
"Oh well....it was worth a shot."

Staring up at him, Danae blinked. He was sure.. Getting to her feet, Danae still stared up at him.
"Reno... I-" What..? Love you? She couldn't say that. It was really, too soon for him to even be making such assumptions. But...

"I.. I..." That's right. She'd stay her usual quiet. "I..."
Wrapping her arms around Reno gently, she cried more, of course.
