"I think he could use a good run," she said with a smile.
But what was all of this about "them"?
What was he talking about..?

It really wasn't Danae's place to ask questions though, and judging from Rude's attitude, it wouldn't be wise to go around asking questions like that, not while Rude was in the car.
He seemed on edge, bad as it was already, and Danae figured she probably added to that a bit.

"So Reno," she asked lightly. "How did you possibly make it home last night, you were terrible.."

Remembering how she had made him chuck his earnings for the night, Danae felt a bit guilty.

"Sorry for stopping you," she added with her face in a bit of a pucker.

"I think he could stand to have that bug removed."
Reno looked back a little pink, while Rude chuckled.
"Uh..well....I guess someone called and said I was lost or something--"
"Lockhart called Rufus after Reno showed up on her doorstep wanting to use the bathroom...he's lucky, if he hadn't been demanding to see Strife about a re-match she might have clocked him."
"RUDE! SHUT UP!" He smacked the bigger man's shoulder with a closed hand, and Rude only laughed warning him about messing with the driver.
"Anyway, Teseng came and picked me up after that...." He turned back and grinned.
"Don't worry about it, if I hadn't let it go then, it might have stained my goodshirt."

Quite a few of the people Rude had named, Danae didn't even know, except for Tifa and Cloud, she knew them,
well, who they were.
She hadn't really talked much to either of them, but she could at least say she knew them, if necessary..

"Good shirt," she asked with a smile. "You're wearing the same exact thing!"

Tugging on the collar of his shirt, she laughed, "Same exact thing."

And it was in fact, the same thing he had worn at the bar, only a less wrinkled, cleaner, tie-included version.

"Same thing," she repeated while nodding.

Reno smirked.
"Oh well, I guess you could call this my 'work shirt'. There's three others like it at home, one for Sunday, one for Evening, and one for recreation."
"All required by Shin-Ra corperation too." Rude chuckled a little and got only a glare in return.
"R~ude, I was trying to keep that half of my life under wraps for the time being."
"What for?"
"What for? What for...what do you think what for?"
"Oh, is being a TURK not glamorous enough for your friend there?"
"Eh, shut up already."

(Nighty-night!)

Now, she understood. That was why he was hiding some things, leaving words out and such. That was the reason he wouldn't tell her what exactly he did for a living last night.. That was the reason huh?
She couldn't exactly say she was expecting that one.

"Oh," she said looking down a bit.

So it wasn't the best, but really, what was, at least he had a job. Which at the moment, not even Danae could say she had one of those.

"That's not so bad Reno," she said smiling ahead, hoping he'd turn around and see her happy expression.
Her smile was sincere, just as she was when had said what she did.
Besides, that little twist wouldn't change the fact that she felt little butterflies fluttering through her stomach.

Reno looked back, and scratched the side of his face.
"You think so?" He turned to look back toward the front.
"Meh, it's a paycheck, I guess...then again.." A sly smirk coalecsed on his lips and his face grew just a little dark.
"There are times when it gets fun."
"Thinking about the old days?" Rude said with a chuckle.
"Of course, those were good times, good times." He started, remembering that they were in mixed company at the moment.
"Oh, sorry about that, I guess I zoned out there." He chuckled and grinned.
"There's the corner, two more blocks to go Danae, and then we can take a break for a while, that alright with you?"

Danae blinked when he began to speak of "the old days".
Really, she wasn't quite sure what they were talking about, but judging from the way they were acting, it must not have been too good, but apparently a lot of fun for the two.

When Reno mentioned taking a break, Danae's familiar smile returned, "Of course," she said.

Why wouldn't she be happy about that?

"But Rude has to be nice, " she added. "I didn't tag along for someone to be mean to me the entire time. And really, he has done quite a god job with that."

Leaning back in her seat, her smile got bigger, "It's the stress from work I tell ya!"

Rude gripped the steering wheel, and hunched over glowering out the front window.
"You asked for it." Reno smirked.
"Not your lip I didn't."
"Anyway," Reno looked back, smiling.
"We scare you don't we?" He questioned playfully.
"There's not a lot of people that share in our odd morbid humor."

Danae laughed at Reno, "Maybe just a little bit, but probably Rude more than you."

After all, Rude was a big man, and not a very nice one at that. And then Reno, was just Reno.

"Really, you two aren't that bad, but still keep the details to a minimum, kay?"

Danae had seen, and heard her fair share of blood and gore in her lifetime, among other things that weren't so glamorous.
So really, it wouldn't bother her too badly, but still, she didn't want to have to think about that sort of thing when she was trying to have a decent time..

They just couldn't help themselves....there was a red light.
Reno and Rude looked at each other with knowing smiles and chuckled to themselves.
"So we really don't freak you out that much?" Reno asked, the car dimming eeriely.
"You so sure about that?" They both turned....the most stupid scary look on their faces. All the whiile, Reno was lighting them with a flashlight held below his chin.
"Aw, hell Reno, this is stupid." Rude turned back and flipped the switch and the lighting returned to normal.
"Well it is now!" Reno, who'd left the flashlight where it was smacked Rude again on the shoulder.
"You're such a stick in the mud." He looked back and crossed his arms around the headrest.
"He's just sad that we don't have the shock factor that we used to."
"Sad you come up the stupid jokes." Reno merely stuck out his tounge.
"Anyway, moving on, wish everyone in Midgar was like you, most of them time women drag their toddlers onto the other side of the street when we go by, or like that moron last night at the bar, they try to pick fights...TURKS still aren't well liked in this area."

Now this was just silly.
"Oh wow," Ellery said laughing hysterically.
This probably had to be the worst performance she'd ever seen in her life, and then the arguing added to the humor value.
"Please don't try that anymore," she said as she covered her mouth and nose, and began to snort a bit.
If it was one thing she disliked about herself,
it was the fact that she tended to snort when she found things funny, or dumb.

"Awww," she said as she continued. "No fair!"

She even tied to stop by holding her breath, but instead of stopping, she simples blew out all the air and laughed more.
"I'm sorry," she pleaded as she continued.

Reno just sat there and stared...Danae....was snorting? It was....odd, and yet at the same time, awfully cute. He found himself snickering....then chuckling...then laughing himself as he watched her.
"R-R-Rude..." He said through laughs.
"You gotta watch her! This is hilarious!" He tugged on Rude's sleeve, but he was shook off with a smirk and a shake of his head.
"You two seem made for each other, you both laugh stupid." Reno didn't even bother, he was too busy doubled over in the front seat wondering if his gut was ever going to bust or just keep hurting like it was.

"You're so mean," Danae choked out while smacking Rude in the arm. Really, Danae didn't like Rude too much, and apparently he found joy in her pain.

And soon enough her snorts began to fade out into regular laughter as she tried her best to stop.
Although, it had been quite hard considering Reno was having a grand old time laughing at her own misery.
"Reno no," she cried.

Reaching into the front seat, Danae smacked Reno in the arm, "Now that's not nice either, stop!"

But it only appeared that the more tried to prevent him from laughing, he only laughed harder.
"Please now," she said in a more serious tone. "It's not funny, and I hate it.."

(LAst one 'Night!)
Reno didn't want to upset Danae, but with the way her voice sounded, she was close. So he tried to stop..but it didn't work well, so he was still chuckling when he turned back around.
"Aww, alright, *Snick* alright, I'll be nice...Rude you be nice too, okay? We can all be nice together."
Silent shake of his head, complete with complementary eye roll.
"Naw, but seriously, you can't expect me not to laugh at that, it was pretty funny, and surprisingly cute."
Groan, there he goes again, being the ladykiller he was...Reno was infamous for turning on the charm...like he'd been doing ALL. DAY.

(Night.)

Danae felt pleased with herself as Reno eventually stopped.
But what did he call it, cute?

"You think it's.. cute?" She found herself amazed, and quite pink now. At least he fond one thing about her cute.
After a moment of silence, Danae finally was able to overcome her blush, and smile.
"Thanks," she said.

Well, it could have been worse. He could have said it was stupid like Rude had, but Reno wasn't like Rude, he was, nice.. And he was quite goofy of course, and Danae did think his laugh was a bit silly..
But she didn't mind it, not even the worst of him.

"Psssh." Reno smirked with a wave of his hand.
"You certainly don't know how to take a compliment do you? Ha!" He turned sideways in the seat and then suddenly jumped like a little kid waiting to get into the candy store.
"O!O! Rude! There, we can stop there!" He pointed to a small alley way out of the general populus and started squirming.
"Come onnnnnn!!! I wanna get out for a stretch!!!"

Danae found Reno to be a bit more goofy than expected as he bounced around.
Wherever he had been wanting to stop, obviously he enjoyed something about the place. Either that, or he was just weird.

Danae even tried to see where he was pointing, but alas, so much red hair..
"Where, where," she questioned as she tried to spot where his hand even was.
"I can't see!"

Now she cursed her shortness mentally, she hated it!
It always worked against her, and never for her, big surprise there.

((*Collapses from schoolwork* Bleh...I canna wait till this semester's OVAR!!!))

"There at the corner!" His hand was already on the door, and as Rude pulled into the small space, he was already out of the car and standing on the curb, lifting his arms high over his head, and popping his back, back into place.
"AHHHHH!!!!" He sighed as the last disk snapped into position.
"That's so much better."

(Ugh, I am so ready for summer! TT^TT)

Danae wasn't sure if she should get out, or stare at Reno's stretches.
But whatever, she could step out for a second.

Jerking on the handle, she removed herself from the car, and yawned a bit in the sun.
It was averagely warm outside now, which was nice, and she could use a stretch too.

"So why exactly are we here," she asked while flexing her arms.

((OMG! YOU SUX!!! T^T I'm going to have about a week before going back to school!! >.< And annyoing classes))

Rude stepped out, hulking over the top of the car.
"Reno wanted to stop," He shrugged and walked to the sidewalk.
"Honestly, if he doesn't get a break from rounds every so often, he gets worse than a little kid."
"Am not!" Reno turned with a scowl and tucked his arms behind his head.
"It's just that rounds are soooooo booorrrriiiinnnngggg...and it's not fair to keep me locked up in that tiny junker for so long."
"Junker!? JUNKER!" Rude patted the trunk lid running a loving hand over the polished surface of his car...it was his favorite vehicle out of the Shin-Ra garage after all...the sleek black lines...the shiny chrome bumper and wheel hubs. He sighed and shook his head, honestly, Reno'd never understand.

(No I dun't! ;o I hate my classes tooooo!)

Danae only laughed at the two, they were like brothers or something, always fighting about something!
"Okay you two," she said with a smile, stepping in front of Reno.
"Now you have a guest, so you should both play nice, period."

Smiling up at Reno now, she poked him in the cheek.
"And that means no making fun of Rude's car," she old him.
Although you could tell by the tone of her voice, that she was only kidding.

((LOL))

Reno turned and merely stuck hos tounge out.
"Mehhhh...you think it's a junker too don'tcha Danae?"
If his face would have allowed for it, Rude would have turned with a look of hurt and surprise, but what he ended up with was a scowl.
"Reno! Don't corrupt her with that kind of thinking! This car is the best one out of all the ones we get to use! Even Teseng says so."
"Well, why isn't he here?"
"Probably because we asked for this?"
"Eh..mehbeh...but then again, I just think the Boss is got a bug in his craw."
His head went forward with the force of Rude's fist.
"Will you shut it already about the Boss? He may need us, but push him too far and we'll both end up dead. I LIKE living thank you."

Danae only blinked as the two continued their arguing, and eventually Reno's head getting beat on.
"Okay, okay, okay!" She yelled at the two.

"You," she said sticking her finger in Rude's face. "Stop hitting Reno. And you-" Pointing to Reno, her face looked a bit more sympathetic.
"Stop making fun of Rude's car, or whatever you were saying. I didn't come with you to listen to people argue.."

Crossing her arms, she puffed out her bottom lip, giving him her puppy-dog eyes.
"I can always leave if you don't want me here.."

Reno's face turned from angry to shocked....or rather..his face said everything he was thinking.
'NUUUUUUUUUU!!!! Dun gooo!!!!! I'll be stuck with the stick in the mud for the rest of the dddaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!' He looked away sheepishly and nodded.
"I'll be good." Really? He couldn't bear the puppy face...it was one of his many weaknesses when it came to women.
Rude let out a 'pffh' and crossed his arms.
"It's all his fault." He muttered.

"Good," Danae said, grabbing Reno's hand.

Pulling him with her towards Rude, she had one of those, I'm up to something, smiles on her face.
As she got to the massive lump of Rude, she smiled, and took his hand too.
"Now shake on it," she said swinging her arms, and theirs.
"And if you disagree, or break the promise, I'll leave."

Now she was basically going to force the two to get along, which in a way, might have been a good thing.
Because then, maybe things would run smoother.
