"Andrew's friend," he replied, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning his back against the wall. "And currently your body guard."

"Andrew?" It took a second for Brodie to realize the not-cloaked figure was talking about Dr. Cozu, Well now I know his first name. He smiled to himself, but only for a second before he turned his attention back to 'Andrew's friend.' "Why exactly do I need a body guard?" He asked out of both curiosity and the fact that this man's presence was starting to disturb him, "I've already survived a car accident, I don't think my luck can get much better after that."

"Because there's another reaper out there that's questioning Andrew's choices. Which means those he saves are at risk again. So I'm here to make sure that reaper doesn't come after you while Andrew's back is turned."

Hideto followed behind Andrew, still not entirely sure of how to feel about the whole day...he realized he was questioning this a lot. Maybe it was best just not to think about it...after all, there are some things that just don't have a "normal" reaction.

He realized he was going to have to call his father about this...and began wondering what he should say. Should he say what was going on? Would his father believe it without having seen what happened?

He led the boy out of the building and to the parking garage. Taking an elevator to the second floor of the garage, he stepped out into the structure, walking as if he already knew exactly where Shozii's car was parked.

It only took a few minutes before Andrew pressed the button on the car's remote to unlock it. "So you're coming with me, then?" he asked, turning to face Hideto as he opened up the driver's side door.

Hideto nodded. "I'll do my best not to cause any trouble...I'll probably need to call my father, but that's all I need," he said, suddenly remembering his guitar that he'd been running to get before...but he could come back for it tomorrow. With any luck, it would be safer then.

"Right," he said with a tired nod. "Get in."

He climbed into the driver's seat and pulled the door closed, then grabbed Shozii's things from the passenger's side and tucked them between the seats.

Hideto climbed into the passenger seat of the car, still wondering a little as to whether or not he was doing the right thing. He sighed quietly as he buckled his seatbelt and looked up at Andrew.

"I'm sorry...for already causing so much trouble..."

"You haven't caused any trouble," he replied with a soft smile. He pulled out his phone and handed it to the boy, before starting the car and pulling out of the parking space. Moments later and they were out on the street, heading deeper into the city.

Hideto dialed his father's number, feeling slightly nervous...it wasn't going to be easy to explain this. Probably best if he just explained that he was staying with someone for the night...the whole "scheduled to die" thing was gonna be hard to believe, not to mention a huge cause for concern if his father did believe it.

"Father? I'm sorry...I'm not going to be able to make it home tonight. Something happened, and...no, I'm okay, don't worry! But...I'm staying with Dr. Cozu from the hospital on -- no, really, I'm fine! There's nothing wrong, he just wants to keep an eye on me...he's taking me to his home --" Suddenly he found himself cut off by his father panicking. No matter how much he stressed that everything was fine, his father didn't seem to believe it...but really, he couldn't blame him.

He nervously rubbed the back of his neck and held the phone out, turning to Andrew once again, slightly red and chuckling nervously. "He...um...wants to talk to you..."

"Right," he sighed, pulling up to a curb and putting the car in park. Although he wasn't exactly careless, he didn't trust himself to drive and talk on a cellphone at the same time in his tired state. He leaned back against the seat and held his hand out to take the phone with. This was guaranteed to be interesting.

Hideto handed over the phone, still hearing faint objections being spoken. His free hand met his forehead...this was a bit more of a reaction than he expected. With some of the other people he'd been allowed to run around with, this should have been nothing...but then again, his father had MET all of them at some point.

"Hello?" he asked, putting the phone to his ear and suppressing another sigh. He had a bad feeling about this conversation, though he felt he might owe the boy's father an explanation.

Brodie looked at him strangely, "A 'reaper?'" Needless to say, the image of a cloaked skeletal man with a scythe wasn't exactly something he found very pleasant. Especially at this moment. "So, I've somehow just escaped the inescapable and if one of those things finds me I'll just die anyway?" He stood up as he spoke, feeling like he needed to do something-anything but sit there waiting.

"Maybe you'll die, maybe you won't. Either way, they'll cause trouble for you," he replied. "I'm a reaper, you know. Might as well let you know. I'm not after you. I'm here so Andrew can get some rest. Figured since he wants you alive, might as well see to it that you stay that way."

"Would you please explain to me WHAT IS GOING ON!?" Hideto's father demanded in an accusing tone, loudly enough that Hideto could hear every word rather clearly. His hand met his forehead again...of all times for his father's less-than-trusting side to show, it HAD to be now.

"Your son had a rather jarring experience earlier and has decided that he feels safest with me at the moment, quit possibly because I put an end to the situation. I assure you, I have no ill intentions towards your son. I didn't build up an excellent career only to throw it away for a prison cell for pedophilia."

He rolled his eyes a bit and awaited the man's reply.

Hideto's father sighed. He sounded irritated...but honest enough. Plus, if there were a problem...shouting over the phone wouldn't solve it. If anything felt wrong, there was always caller ID.

"Very well, then..." he said, feeling deeply embarrassed. "I'm sorry for shouting."

"It's alright, I understand your concerns. I apologize for being irritable, I have a limited window for sleep before I have to go back to work." He pushed the phone into Hideto's hands and started driving again, hoping to make it home before he fell asleep behind the wheel.

Hideto took the phone again, relieved that the explanation seemed to have worked. "I'll explain it better when I get home...I'll be back tomorrow. Please try not to worry...I'll see you soon. Bye," he said, hanging up the phone as soon as he heard the click from his father's end. He knew he was going to have to explain sooner or later...but at least this way he bought himself some time to figure out what to say.

A few minutes later and the car came to a stand-still in the parking garage of a large apartment building. He killed the engine and climbed out of the vehicle, taking the black leather book from between the seats before he pushed the car door shut.

He headed towards the elevator not far away.

Hideto followed, looking closely at everything around in amazement. So this was where Andrew lived...it felt strange to realize it, after what had happened earlier. He didn't know what to expect - was it going to be something surprisingly normal, or surprisingly...well, surprising? Either way, he found himself looking at everything like a six-year old visiting the aquarium for the first time.

Tessan walked through the park gates, onto the sidewalk that made her realize how much of a city this was. Although the park was quieter than the street, the cars were still heard, though they sounded distant and all one had to do was talk or think loudly enough to themselves, and the sound was barely a whisper. She tossed her hand through her hair, trying to decide what to do or where to go.
