[[This RP does that sometimes. Heehee
"Micheal was... making zombies!" That line wings. Michel the fallen zombie-maker! ]] Slowly composing himself, Yuki stepped away from Ani with a polite "Excuse me" and went over to the living room where he had abandoned his staff and the package he had been carrying for his mother. He was beginning to feel hot, and too much heat made him ill. The last thing this group needed was another ill person to take care of. He sat on a couch to carefully remove his shoes and socks. He placed these on the floor under the small table beside him, then moved on to removing his long-sleeved white shirt. He would have tied his hair back but he had nothing to tie it back with, and so he would have to bear with that. Yuki had never been this exposed to the group before, but he was so unwilling to become ill that it didn't much matter anymore. He touched his back warily. On his back was the image of a white horned horse with wings. It was sometimes hard to see because of his pale skin, but Yuki knew it had been there since his birth. He was never too aware of it unless his back was exposed. He shrugged his own discomfort off and was about to head into the kitchen when he noticed Turtle looked very uneasy. He went over to the hell hound and asked,"what's the matter?" |
((BWahahaa... Zombiesss. Oooh hints as to Yuki's true self XD Eeeee! If he's a pegasus, that means his father is... a horse? O_O))
Turtle merely whined in the back of his throat and nudged Yuki's hand, unsure as to what to do or how to explain such a complex suspicion to the boy. He'd just have to wait until the right moment to unveil the undead plot that was blossoming right in front of him. |
[[Steffie, you're too much! I laughed out loud when I read your post. And I don't just mean the OOC bit, either!
Evil plotting is afoot. Shan getting screwed by a horse is just too much! Haha! Once you get past being disturbed the image is pretty hilarious...]] Yuki decided that it would be better if he stayed here with the startled hound, rather than going back into the kitchen. There was not much he could do to help with the cooking anyway. He was still much too short. Maybe some day he would be tall, like his father. He touched the hell hound's snout gently and realized that his mouth was still gaping wide with that permanent smile of his. Maybe it was best if he did go to the kitchen for Ani. He'd completely forgotten about the poor hound's jaw. "Stay here, I'll be back in a bit," Yuki said, standing up and going to the kitchen. He tapped Ani's arm quickly. "Um.. Miss Ani... I completely forgot about the dog's..um.. permanent smile." A small hint of shame could be detected on him as he said this. |
((I'm so glad that a horse is apparently not the case... Though it would explain Yuki's tendancy to blush... how embarassing! >_< I... I don't want to imagine a horse and an angel getting it on... Oh go away unbidden images, AGH! I'm pretty sure the bible says not to do that...))
Turtle stayed where he was, appearing obedient. His mind was working furiously to figure out what to do. He couldn't just attack Ani, the others would think he was rabid or crazy... or both! And if he killed her, there would be no way to prove that she was the walking dead! The dog's brow furrowed in a close approzimation of human confusion. Something felt silly about that last bit. |
((Lolz...such silly things goes on here. XD))
Micheal had stepped over by Ani, to help with the fire and cooking, he was hungry afterall. He had helped fashion a rock to look like a bowl, he used very little of his power to do so. It was held over the fire with sticks, all his design. Ani was busy growing delectable vegetables to add to the stew they were making. Ani had poured the rest of the water she had into the heating bowl. She was about to begin chopping the vegetables, when Yuki appeared back before her again, she took a moment to realize that he ment. "Oh..! Of course..Ill be right there," Before leaving she had asked Micheal to finish what she was doing. She would be back to add seasoning and such. There was much more to grow for that. |
[[Because the creator's mind is fully of silliness! No one is safe!]]
Yuki was surprised to see Micheal where he was, but said nothing to the man. He merely stared for a few seconds then bowed, excusing himself. He turned and flowed Ani to make sure the hound would be alright. He had been very good to Yuki, even if he had been wary at first, and Yuki was getting increasingly worried about Turtle's health, or what was left of it. He saw the hound exactly where he had told him to stay, although his state seemed a bit altered. |
Turtle was just running down a list of possible ways to kill a zombie when Yuki returned with Ani in tow. The dog sprang to his feet and bristled, eyes wide, but didn't growl. He stood very still, remembering that zombies are drawn to movement and sound.
|
Ani noticed the look on Yukis face from seeing Micheal cook, "Believe it or not, but he is quite handy around the cooking station." She said winking at him. She let Yuki enter first, seeing as the dog liked him more than her. "Did you figure out his name Yuki?" She asked as she just by eye examined the wound, waiting for Yuki to say that it was alright for her to touch him. She knew that dogs were loyal if you were kind and respected them.
|
Wondering what could have possibly put the hound at such unease, Yuki put a hand on his head and stroked gently. "What's the matter?" he said calmly. He looked where Turtle was looking. "Ah, her? You can trust her, don't worry." But Yuki was unsure whether the hound had been listening.
|
Ani was a little unsteady about the way the hound was reacting to her. She outspread her palms in front of him to show that she wasnt going to hurt him, just wanted to inspect his jaw and help. "He wasnt like this before in the tent, what happened?" She asked aloud to Yuki. She let the question at there as she said, "You wanted to reconnect the bones right?"
|
Yuki nodded. "If you don't, the same thing might just end up happening again." He studied Turtle carefully. "Maybe he saw you uh.. die..." Yuki said. She had been on the ground long enough for someone to spot her, certainly. "He wasn't too uneasy about you until then."
|
At least now Turtle knew that Yuki wasn't a zombie, since the boy had found him easily while he was standing still. He stared steadily at Ani, and if he'd had breath he would have held it.
|
"Maybe thats it." Ani said with a nod. She moved a bit closer, caution at its best. "Lets see if the bones are still in tact to be mended together or if its broken, then that would be a problem." She said. Ani placed her hand under the hounds jaw, her fingers gently running over the broken jaw bone.
|
Yuki kept his hand on Turtle's neck to keep him from jumping at Ani. He was scared that he might have to hurt the hound, because there was a possibility that some things were irreparable. "Be still, alright?" he said to the hound softly. "She's here to help."
|
Ani's deft touch instantly cleared all doubt in Turtle's mind. No zombie was that dexteritous and gentle. He felt himself an immesurable fool, but still confused. He raised his long swollen tongue and licked Ani's wrist in apology. It was like a living snake, and dry rather than moist.
But she had been dead. And she wasn't anymore. |
Ani wasnt looking directly at the hound, instead she was looking off to the side, not because she couldnt see him, but because she was creating a mental picture of his lower front skull. "Alright, his mandible is just fine,....the maxilla however, lets check..." Her hand went up to the top row of the dogs teeth, pushing all the way in the back, the joint that connected the lower jaw bone was still in tact, "Its just fine. We can do it." She said smiling as she looked at the dog now patting it on the head. "I just hope that it doesnt hurt to much...its like a snap in." She said looking at Yuki. "It will be weak at first, but the bones will naturally reshape to the joint." She said nodding. She smiled even more when The hound licked her arm, she scratched his head a little more.
|
Yuki smiled, relieved. Hurting someone just wasn't like him, even if he had to sometimes, he was glad it hadn't come to that this time. "I should make sure he doesn't bite anything, then? That might be what caused it to break in the first place." He thumbed one side of his hair behind his ear before looking at Turtle carefully. " I haven't figured out his name..."
|
Ani nodded, "Yes, no biting for at least 3 days." She said. "I cant place both my hands in his mouth to do so, so Ill have to get the spirit to do it, she can go through his skin and cause less pain as well." She said. "Perhaps after, you can look around this trailer, may be its written down, or theres a dog collar somewhere." She said assuredly.
|
Yuki nodded nervously, not because of what was going to be done, but how. Yuki had seen the spirit and had felt odd when Ani had not been moving. If he was going to help, though, he had to toughen up and just do what he was supposed to.
|
Turtle was finally out of panic mode and paying attention. He tilted his head in puzzlement at the mention of a spirit. Well, he tried to tilt his head but Ani was fiddling with it so he just twitched. He didn't know how to explain his name, but he was sure that it could be figured out. The DreamCatcher had a very meticulously organized roster on every one of his Dreams, somewhere in the trailer. It probably even explained how each dream was to be cared for and how they worked, a list of things that would work as punishment or reward, and things that could be exploited in acts for the circus.
But Turtle had never been allowed inside so he wouldn't even know where to begin. |
Ari, as soon as he had tucked Shan neat in with some cold compresses, left to explore the trailer. He was shocked that the angel's skin didn't melt the things right away, but he wasn't about to doubt anything good happening to them that moment. "Good god, how many Dreams did this man collect?"
He had stumbled into the room that Turtle was thinking about that very moment, where there were piles of books and books stacked upon each other organized by species and names. The one open on the table was about Phineas. Digusted, he immediately threw that one away. Of course there was the hellhound's file, and thinking that he should share whatever information was availabe inside with the others, he snatched it and walked outside. "Ugh, we should just set this place on fire. Look at this," he shook Turtle's binder at them in disbelief. "He was pretty much what you call a slaver." |
Turtle perked considerably at Ari's approach. He recognised his book, of course he did, everyone would recognise their own book, even if they all looked (more or less) the same. There was a sort of aura of knowledge around it, the same feeling that one gets when a known threat approaches. He was excited to have himself understood, although the idea of even friends knowing his weakneses was slightly disheartening.
|
[[Haha, Good Fai is good. Fai gets a cookie!
Where is Moo Moo? I crave meat. ]] Somehow, burning down the place once they were gone didn't seem like a bad idea at all. Yuki looked through the file, avoiding the "punishment" bit. He looked at the hound, who he thought had a rather odd name. "So your name is Turtle?" He wondered if the Catcher had ever called him that, or if he had called him all sorts of names Yuki was not allowed to repeat. He set the binder aside. The Punishment part held valuable information, probably, but Yuki was not at all sure he could take it without vomiting again. |
Turtle wagged his tail emphatically at the sound of his name. It DID sound strange, but his master had been a very small boy and hadn't, at first, wanted a dog. He'd wanted... well... a turtle. When he arrived home one day to find a rambunctious puppy, he was disappointed. Turtle of course had showered him with love on sight, and shortly the two were inseperable.
The dog watched Yuki set the book aside and instantly leaped on it, pawed it open, and scrabbled at the pages until he found a familiar looking one which he knew would answer at least one question that he'd wanted to answer a while ago: "Care and Feeding of Nightmare Hellhound "TURTLE" "Allow creature to hunt dead and rotting animals. Dog will ingest food via maggots that deposit food into corresponding organs..." It continued with some unsavoury details about other organ functions. The DreamCatcher might have made a great scientist or researcher had he not been despicable. |
Yuki looked at the page opened up for him. "Oh," he said after he had read the bit about the maggots, along with some other things he wished he hadn't gone into. "I think I know why we can't wash him. Particularly his um... insides..." He trailed off and forced himself to thing about something else before focusing on his surroundings again. Yuki wondered when his mother would come and join them. He hadn't seen any damage done to her on the outside, and she hadn't said anything about internal damage the few moments she had been awake.
