New to the school
 

Remus Lupin lightly bit his thumb as he walked down the hal, it was his first day at Hogwarts and he had been assingned to Gryphndor and he needed to find his room. 'I think I may have taken a wrong turn.' He thought to himself as he looked around a bit.

Siruis joked with James as they wandered the halls, talking about an idea for a prank. As they turned down one corridor, rather near to the dungeons for comfort, they heard a voice. They continued to walk, and came across a boy, looking distinctly lost. Siruis could see the Gryffindor badge on his school uniform, and asked. "Hey there. You're a bit lost."

Looking up when he heard someone talking to him, Remus blushed lightly and nodded his head. "Yes, I was trying to find the Gryffindor room, I'm new here and couldn't find anyone to help me find my way." He said softly as he looked from one bo to the other, they both looked as though they where both going to be taller then he was.

Siruis smirked as he saw the other boy's blush. "Don't worry." He said, winking to James, who rolled his eyes as a reply. "Come with us. We're going there..." He paused. "Well, by a little indirect route to the kitchens, but we'll end up in the Gryffindor rooms."

Remus nodded his head slowly as he shifted from foot to foot slowly before he held out his hand to the other two boys. "I'm Remus Lupin by the way." He said softly with a small smile, he was going to need to find a place for the full moons if he wanted to keep his secret.

Siruis and James beamed at the boy in unison, and clapped him on the shoulder. "I'm Siruis, and this is James." He said, loudly. "And now, if you come with us, we're off to get a small snack from the house elves." Having grown up as a wizard, he didn't know whether Remus knew about house elves, but he assumed that the boy would ask if he didn't.

"House elves?" He asked with his head tilted to the side, his family had been rather poor and so he didn't know what house elves where and he suposed it didn't help that he had been bit by a werewolf when he was still young. "I culd use a bite to eat." He said softly as he bit his lip softly.

Siruis smiled. "Yeah, house elves. They're curious little creatures that live to serve their masters." He shrugged and placed an arm round Remus' shoulder, walking in the general direction of the kitchens. "Don't worry. They'll give you anything you ask for."

He nodded his head and looked away, he wished they had a cure for being a werewolf. "I'm sure I can't get what I really wish for." He said softly, not wanting the other two boys to hear him say that.

Siruis however, heard the boy, and looked at him. "How do you mean?" He shrugged. "If you don't want to tell us, that's fine. I understand you need your secrecy." Although him and James shared everything, it didn't mean that other people had to as well.

Remus jumped slightly and shook his head a bit as he thought quickly. "I'm just going to miss my moms home cooking." He said with a cheery grin.

Siruis smiled. "You could ask her to send you something in the post." He shook his head, grinning. "We get some of the weirdest stuff sent to us at this school, so it won't be out of place." He thought of the time his cousin had sent him a portable muggle toilet, incase he needed it.

"I'll make sure to send her an owl." He said with a grin on his face even though he knew that his parents would never send him anything ever again, they had sent him here in hopes that he would find a way to 'fix' himself of his illness.

As they reached the tapestry, James tickled the pear, and Siruis went through first, expecting Remus to follow him. The elves responded to his order of Butterbeer and cakes incredibly quickly, and they found themselves seated at a large table.

Remus watched what the other two did closely, he wanted to make sure that if he was ever alone and was hungry, then he would know what to do. He followed Siruis into the the room and soon found himself seated at a table and eating a cake.

Siruis helped himself to the cake and drink. "So, Remus. What makes you come here late?" He asked, referring to the fact that part of the first term had already passed, and he hadn't seen the boy before.

"W-Well...I was really sick and couldn't travel." He said as he looked around and rubbed the back of his neck, he couldn't tell then that it was because he had been attacked by a werewolf.

Siruis frowned, but shrugged. It wasn't really any of his business. "Well, that's good. For a moment I thought it was because you were a werewolf." He said, grinning. "Or a vampire. Or a veela. Or a..." He broke off at James' sharp jab from his elbow. "Sorry. That wasn't funny. I was only joking, don't worry."

Remus dropped his cup in shock when Siruis mentioned werewolves, his hands shook in fears before he quickly got to his feet. "I...I have to go...find may room." He stumbled softly as he got up and hurried out the door.

Siruis and James frowned, but only Siruis jumped up after him and cornered him in the corridor. "Remus. What's up? You started getting jumpy when I mentioned the werewolf...Oh." He said, and fell silent, looking at his feet.

Remus frowned and looked away quickly. "There's nothing wrong." He said as he started to inch his way away from Siruis, he didn't want him to turn him in for being a werewolf. "I have to go now, I need to find my room." He said softly as he started to whimper a bit.

Siruis grabbed his shoulders, and pushed him into the wall, leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Listen to me, and listen very carefully. Don't even try to get away. Ok?" He said, slightly angry. "I don't care if you're a werewolf. I don't care! And neither does James."

Remun flinched away as he closed his eyes tightly. "B-B-But I'm a freak." He said softly as he bowed his head and sniffled a bit to try and keep his tears back.

Siruis frowned. "A freak? Who told you that?" He asked angrily, his wand seemingly jumping into his hand, and spitting red sparks at the darkness around them. "You're not a freak!" He paused. "At least, no more than me and James." He said with a large grin.

Remus jumped back, his eyes wide with fear. "M-M-My parents t-t-told me." He stuttered as he slowly looked put. "What do you mean?"
