OOC thread can be found here.

In the year 5000, mankind has achieved its pinnacle. The world is a blissful Utopia, governed by the just High Council. With its people united as one, Earth no longer has wars. To feed the human desire for war, the High Council created the Hazard Games. The Hazard Games are virtual reality battles fought between two or more teams. The rules and setting of each game are limitless. Each game has different objectives to win. Each team is comprised of around five members, while some teams have more and rotate their players. Particularly wealthy members of society often recruit the best of the best for their teams and compete in the World League, a globally televised league consisting of professional teams. Glory, fame, and large sums of money are awarded to the victors of League games. Seeing the opportunity for great power, certain members of the Peacekeeping Forces have created Team Red Falcon. To the world, Red Falcon is just like every other League team, but it holds a dark secret. The players of Red Falcon are slaves, forced to compete in the Hazard Games for their lives. The members of Red Falcon know that this utopian world isn't as blissful as the High Council would have the public believe.

OOC: You can join as a member of Red Falcon, a master of your own team, a member of another team, or a member of the High Council or Peacekeeping Forces (police). The games will be fought according to pre-determined rules set forth by myself or someone I will appoint to the task. I'll be taking suggestions for games in the OOC thread.
Rules:
1) Literacy is a must. Type at least a paragraph (4+ sentences) for each post.
2) Team Red Falcon will not win every game, so your characters will mess up from time to time.
3) Don't initiate a game when I'm not online unless I specifically say so in the OOC thread.
4) Use OOC (out of character) only when designating signing off for a long period of time. Use the OOC thread for other discussions/issues.
5) Submit character sheet in OOC Thread

Ethan winced as the nerve receptors removed themselves from is spinal cord. He took off the attached headset and gave the whole thing to the technician. "It's amazing that we have all this technology and yet the best way to enter the virtual world is a row of spikes in my back." The technician just smiled his sadistic smile. Walking back to his cell, he thought to himself, "As soon as he forgets his tazer at home, I'm going to plant my fist right between those big goggles of his." He was in a particularly bad mood because the team had lost the game due to sheer bad luck. A stray glob of magma has melted its way though his team's rope as they attempted to scale the volcano. If they had lost because of team error, they would learn and become better. When they lost by chance, there was no such benefit. So he plopped on his bed and rested his head on his hands, looking at the ceiling.

Cable hissed as he felt the receptors being removed and took off the headset. The game was too much for real life. The technician or sadist as Cable called him smiled, taking the headset out of his hands. "The joy of technology." He said this sarcastically as he went back to the cell. If losing wasn't bad enough, it was because of the game function. At least if they lost another way that didn't involve luck it would feel worse. The third actual thing was being a slave to the hazard games, but he had gotten used to that part. He went inside, sitting on the bed and pinching the bridge of his nose.

Sarah smiled to herself as she was unsnapped from all of the machinery.
Her team was cheering around her. Another fabulous victory thanks to a little bad luck on Red Falcon's behalf. She slipped off the headset and tossed her hair, opening her eyes.
"Good work everyone." She said. Sarah hoped the High Council had been watching and were proud of her. She fought so hard to make them proud.

Cable sighed, still a bit sore over loosing. Bad luck seemed to follow him to the ends of the Earth. He sat upright, thinking about the other team. That leader of their's, such a puppet and enjoyed the games way too much. He shook his head, wondering how many other people felt the same way. He punched a nearby wall, knowing that it probably wouldn't break since he didn't use enough force. He needed to calm down, lest he cause an explosion from some residual feelings.

As usual, the mood-assessment technician came around to Ethan's cell. "So, 47-G, how're we felling today?" he said in a patronizing tone that always ensured that the answer was "infuriated." "It's Ethan, tool, and how do you think I feel? My team just lost because of a renegade hot rock," Ethan replied without taking his eyes off the ceiling.
"A happy player is a winning player, 47-G."
"Ethan. If I hear that slogan one more time, I'm snapping your neck despite the consequences. If you want me to be such a happy player, let me out of this damn place. Until then, keep your 'pep-talks' to yourself and be glad I win most of these things."
He'd have another week of horrific nightmares because of that outburst, but damn it felt good.
In a rare show of actual human emotion, the technician said in a low tone, "I'll see you tonight," and went off to somewhere Ethan didn't care about.

Sarah leaned against the wall outside the submersion chamber she had just exited.
She felt drained after such a rigorous challenge. Wiping her brow, she headed for the next room with the rest of her team to recieve their evaluations. Unlike the Red Falcons, Civilian team evaluations were mere physicals, to make sure no one's mind got fried. A group of scientists greeted them warmly.
"Congratulations, Sarah." A woman doctor said as she was checking Sarah's breathing and heartbeat.
"That was another impressive win."
"I'd like to think it was our skill, but that rock was a renegade. It was just out luck that it didn't burn through our ropes." Sarah replied.
"But a win is a win. Breath out." The doctor replied and Sarah exhaled.
"We should train harder." Sarah said.
"Harder? Breath in. You work so hard all ready. And out."
"But we have to be perfect. Twilight Star's goal is to help the High Council. I want to make them so proud." Sarah said.
"Alot of people are proud of you. Twilight Star is a great Hazard Games team."
Sarah smiled at the doctor and the woman returned the smile.
"Okay. You're good." She replied. "Make sure you drink more fluids though."
"Sure." Sarah replied as she grabbed her cape.

A technician came into Cable's room, trying to see how he was doing. "50-C, how are you doing after that last game?" Cable glared at him, wanting to snipe the man, but spoke in an icy tone instead. "I'd tell you, but my name is Cable, not "50-C" as you call me." The technician, didn't respond to that, but instead changed the subject. "No need to feel sour 50-C" "My name is Cable. And yes I am sour; sour over the fact that luck killed our win and also that I'm forced to fight in this gutter hole." He knew he was being defiant, but couldn't stand them. He didn't even care that they would bite back. The technician adjusted his glasses, staring at Cable. "Like I said, don't suck on sour grapes." He turned his back to Cable, walking out. "You know what happens when members are being mouthy."
