Shrugging, Anna laughed, "Honestly, I have no idea. I was too busy getting an inquisition of Fynns' to really remember details. Both sound worth checking out, though." She muses lightly, "Do you guys know them?"

Rolling her eyes, Leane shot a glare over at Fynn, who was sitting at the Gryffindor Table and looking over at them, "That dweeb.. he's really gotta lay off you and just get over the fact that we're friends."
"Honestly, he gave us the third degree in DA today," added Kalli, "I'm surprised Josh and Drew didn't kick the kids sorry butt.." Josh smirked, "I would have had we been in Hogsmeade or out of the castle." "Yeah, well, I've got enough detention to worry about, I'd rather not get more," added Drew as he took a drink from his goblet. 'Anyway, Liam is a good friend of ours. He's the younger brother of my brother Tom's girlfriend. He's quite a catch and very fun to hang around, want me to introduce you?" asked Saiyuri as she spotted him coming through the doors into the Great Hall. "As for Keven, he's a twerp - major attitude problem," said Leane with another glare shot at the poor 4th year down the table. "He's more arrogant and self-absorbed than Lee here," added Josh in a whisper to Anna while Leane was busy glaring at the 4th year. |
Anna only snorted once - though very loudly - before putting her face back to her complete innocent mask, not even revealing her humour at Joshs' comment. "I see." She states dryly, before turning her head lightly. "I think I'll take you up on that, Saiyuri." She smiles lightly at the girl across the table, gratefully nodding.
"I can always make an aquiantance with Keven during the afternoon," she muses out loud, not realizing she's plotting a battle plan. "And if I do it somewhere public, there's no way it won't draw anyone's attention." Idly, she nibbles on her fingernail again, thinking it through for a moment before giving a decisive nod. "Also," she adds, catching Fynns' eye for a moment. "Just let Fynn be. He's just looking out for his house, is all. He doesn't bother me - he's just nosy." |
Josh smirked as Leane inquired, "What did I miss?" Noticing Josh's smirk she elbowed his rib, "You said something horrid didn't you!"
"See? What did I tell ya Anna?" "Oh shut it Josh!" Leane retorted with a glare as she stuck her tongue out. Saiyuri laughed as she stood up and took Anna's hand, letting hers slip from Drew's, "Come one Anna, you'd better not get into their arguement." Walking down the length of the table, Saiyuri waved her free hand and motioned Liam to come over. Spotting Saiyuri leave the table and motion him, he left his group, who happened to be the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, and began walking over to Saiyuri, "Heyya Sai! Sup?" Noticing Anna, he smiled, his white teeth a vast difference from his dark tan, "Who's this pretty girl with you Sai?" "This is Anna, she's the new Gryffie," introduced Saiyuri, giving Anna a little nudge, "This here's Liam, the Ravvie Keeper." "How do you do Anna?" inquired Liam as he held out his hand. |
A slow warmth started to draw up from the back of her neck at his toothy smile, but Anna pointedly ignored it. With her most charming smile in return, she shook his hand - firm enough to be friendly, gentle enough to not seem overly aggessive. "I am -very- well, thank you very much." Her stress on being 'very well' was deliberate, and as she released his hand, she added with a smile, "How do you do, Liam?"

Smiling Liam replied, "A little sore from practice, but other than that I've been pretty good. Speeking practice, Sai, you weren't there, why?"
Saiyuri blushed, "Didn't Marie take my place as Seeker?" "Marie?! You're joking.. She couldn't see the Snitch half as well as you can, and that's putting it gently. Come on Sai, if we want to win, we need you!" "But.." "But nothing, you're on and that's final. Leane still the beater for Slythie?" "Yep! She can't wait for practice tonight. As for me being Seeker, I'll think about it. I don't think you'll want me though, I'm leaving for three months remember?" "Three months?! What for? What about you Anna? You play?" he inquired as he ran his hand through his dark brown wavy hair. |
Smiling lightly, the brunette nods. "Yup, though my hand-eye coordination sucks about as much as Marie's eyesight, I think." She grins lightly and shrugs, "Besides, I have to admit I'm not one to support house rivalry. I didn't know both you and Leane were into Quidditch, though, Saiyuri." With a slight nudge to her side, she whispers, "Another reason to stick around?"
Looking back at Liam, she freezes for a moment - then gives him a smile that is all warmth and light innocence. "Stand still for a moment," she asks, the first time her French accent comes through a little as she stands on tip toe, reaching to his head. With a gentle movement, she plucks a ball of fluff from it - apparantly a dust bunny - only barely touching his hair. With a laugh, she throws the little thing to the floor. "Where have you been sticking your head, Liam?" |
Saiyuri blushed, "It's because I'm not that good...as for my leaving, it's simply due to being ill and needing to rest at home."
Laughing Liam ruffled Saiyuri's hair and smiled at Anna, "Don't let her fool ya, she's the best damn seeker in Hogwarts. She never loses sight of the thing, I honestly don't know how she does it. You look like a Chaser, am I right Anna?" Watching the dust fall to the floor he laughed, his emerald eyes brightening, "That must have come from under me bed, was searchin under there to find me Transfiguration book. Was that French I detected in yer voice? What part of France ya from?" |
His carefree attitude amuses her, and she smiles broadly in return. "I'm sure Saiyuri's being just modest, though I wouldn't go as far as saying that, since I have yet to see her play. And I've played every position, at one point or the other." Of course she couldn't admit that it had been three training sessions where she got to try out each position while improving her flying. "Also," she adds, throwing a mischievous glance at Saiyuri. "Don't you think it's just horrid for her to leave us this long?"
Looking back up, she finds herself almost drowning in his eyes - her heart skipping a beat - before she explains, "Actually, I'm from Belgium - the southern part." |
Liam laughed, "Eh, you haven't seen the current seekers. But I'll let ya see that fer yerself at the Quidditch matches. Which is yer favorite?"
"Liam, quit hounding the poor girl!" exclaimed Saiyuri, "Come, lets sit back down at the table, i'm starving!" Saiyuri smiled and turned, giving Anna a wink, before running off towards the table and sitting beside Drew. "Belgium ye say, beautiful country. Only seen pictures though, never been. How'd ye come to get a French accent all the way in Belgium?" Liam inquired as he began walking towards the group seeted a ways away at the Ravenclaw table. |
"But he's not hounding me, Saiyuri!" Anna grins broadly, easily keeping in step next to Liam as she answers his question. "I don't really have a favourite, actually. I'm new here - I don't want to pick sides yet." She shrugs lightly, sitting back down at the table - but still not touching her food - and winking cheerily at Leane.
"Also, the southern part of Belgium speaks a type of French - since I was raised there, it's pretty normal for me to speak French, really." She smiles a little, her eyes travelling to the window. "Though I must admit, while I always thought Belgium was lovely, the UK has it's charms, too." |
Liam smiled as he took a seat across from Anna next to Leane, "You coming to our first game?"
"Hey Liam, how've you been?" inquired Kalli with a smile. "Pretty good Kal, you and Josh still hanging in there I see! Lee, you dating anyone yet?" "Nope! Flyin solo this year, still Keeper and Captain this year?" "Of course, love! Ye think I'd give it up?" "Nah, just lookin' forward to kicking your sorry ass first game!" Leane teased. "Eh, we'll see Slythie." "You bet you will Ravvie!" Drew laughed, "Save it for the game, you can fight all ya want then." Slipping his hand into Saiyuri's he smiled, "You playing this year?" "I'm not sure.. you?" "Only if Captain here lets me keep my head Chaser position and doesn't give it to Lucinda," he replied with a smirk. Liam rolled his eyes, "Cut it out, ye got yer position already, now shut it on the subject alright? It's gettin' on me nerves!" Saiyuri laughed, "Liam, be nice. Drew's ego simply can't stand getting out manuevered by a girl!" "Yeah yeah yeah.. Lucinda's got it out for me I swear, that girl always hogs the Quaffle! She doesn't give anyone a chance with it!" "Anyway, I didn't know they spoke French in Belgium. What about the UK do ye like?" inquired Liam as he pointedly ignored Drew, who happend to be talking about his younger 4th year sister, and turned his attention back over to Anna. |
"Saying the guys would probably be a tad too shallow, right?" She grins a little, her tongue darting out between her lips to show that she's joking. "Though admittedly, you do rank pretty high with most gorgeous things I've seen so far."
Wriggling her nose in amusement, Anna smiles, now giving the actual, serious answer. "I think it's sort of the quiet mystery of the fog, in a way. It really makes you feel like you're in the land of King Arthur." Making a face at the group in general, she adds with a smile, "Which I, as a romantic and silly girl, do believe in." |
Saiyuri nudged Anna, "Way to be blunt Anna!"
Liam laughed, "Nah, it's alright love, I don't mind." "'Course he doesn't, his ego can't get any bigger," teased Josh with a high-five from Drew. Liam rolled his eyes and laughed, "Well we all know yours is much bigger than mine." "VERY true Liam!" commented Kalli before sticking her tongue jokingly out at Josh. "King Arthur though, haven't heard that story in ages! Makes me want to read it again, mainly for the fighting scenes, but the love story is still cute in a way," said Leane before taking a bite out of an apple. "I on the other hand," added Saiyuri with a smile, "agree with Anna. The romance in the story is amazing. Guinevere and Lancelot are my favorites though." |
Smiling innocently at Saiyuri, she offers, "Nothing wrong with telling the truth. Though I have to disagree on Guinevere and Lancelot, though." She shakes her head a little, leaning forward unto her arms, her chest pressing lightly against the fabric of her robe.
"I mean, both of them broke a vow of loyalty and love! How bad can it get?" Anna smiles a little, a dreamy expression in her brown eyes. "I like the power of their love, though - and Morgaine, though evil, still is my favourite." |
"Yes, that's true. But Guinevere is so beautiful, and Lancelot so handsome. I wonder if the library here has that book... I doubt it since it's a muggle book.. I'll write to Lucia and have her send it to me," added Saiyuri with a smile as Vanora jumped up into her lap.
Vanora rubbed up against Saiyuri's chest and then noticed Drew and Saiyuri holding hands under the table. Vanora jumped onto Drew's lap and began batting at their hands. Kalli, noticing Vanora jump into Drew's lap, became curious and sneeked a peek under the table. Noticing the hands, she nudged Josh who in turn nudged Leane as he also sneeked a peek under the table. Leane, after looking under the table, smirked and began teasing Saiyuri and Drew about their being too shy to hold hands in public and let the whole world know about their love. |
"Don't bother with that, Saiyuri," Anna offers before the teasing starts, hardly even getting through. "I'll lend it to you."
Rolling her eyes at the group in amusement as the teasing commences, Anna idly turns to Liam, her head curiously tilted to the side. "So you're sis is dating Saiyuri's brother? Or something like that?" |
Saiyuri, thankful for a diversion from the teasing for a moment, smiled, "Thank you! I'd love that." Turning back to the other three, Drew and Saiyuri began defending themselves from the teasing remarks made by the other three.
Liam laughed, "I didn't know those two started seein' each other, when did that happen? As for me sister, yeah. I guess you could say that. We all think he'll be proposin' soon though, he has that look in his eye. She'll be ecstatic o' course, she's been in love with the bloke since they were back in 4th year at the Yule Ball. They were dancing partners and immediately hit it off. Due to being in different houses, they hadn't spoken much. But after they were introduced in dancin' lessons, they couldn't quit their yappin' with each other. It's amazin' anyone but themselves finds time to get a word in when they're together!" |
Cheerfully, Anna laughs along with him. "Well, it's lucky they met then, though." She wiggles her nose a little as she looks over the table at Drew and Saiyuri - still defending themselves.
"Love's a gift," she mutters, a lot more serious now than normal. "It's a lot more easy to give than to accept - but when you find someone who feels the same way, it is very much worth it..." She blinks lightly, then turns her hazel eyes to Liam apolegetically. "Um, I mean... Will there be a Yule ball this year?" |
"Yeah, he's a great guy." Noticing Anna's quick change in subject Liam ran his hand through his hair and smiled as he looked at Saiyuri and Anna, "I couldn't agree more with ye. I've known those two fer quite some time now, watched them fall fer each other. Never mentioned anything to either of 'em though, figured they'd figure it out in time. Besides, I wasn't completely sure he was good enough for my Sai here. But, seein' as how he hasn't hurt her yet, I think the match will work out for the best in the end." Turning back to Anna he laughed, "As for the ball, yeah, there'll be one. You fixin' to ask someone?"

She smiles lightly as she glances up at him. "Well, they did need some pushing. Maybe if you'd hinted at them, I might have gotten some more sleep tonight." Anna chuckles a little, then shakes her head in reply to his question. "Honestly, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Yule ball. I don't even have a gown, I think."

Liam laughed, "Sorry about that, didn't realize they were that oblivious to each other. If i had known that I probably would have mentioned something to Saiyuri. But ah well, what's done is done, at least they're together now." After taking a drink from his goblet, he smiled as he set it down on the table, "Really? Well, if you don't find one, I'm sure I can get one from my sister. She kept all of her Yule Ball dresses, and you look her size, any particular color or style you fancy the most?"

She blinks a little at him - completely taken aback by this. "No... I'll just have my mother send me one..." Anna tilts her head curiously as she watches him - taking in the stylish haircut, gorgeous eyes and dazzling smile...
Then sighs. ~'Darn it, he's probably gay.'~ |
Liam laughed, "Alright, if ye need anything though, let me know." Turning to the group he laughed, "Come on now, leave the poor girl alone! Tease Drew all ye want, though," he added with a laugh.
Drew rolled his eyes, "Thanks, way to have my back Liam.." "No problem." Leaning towards Anna, Saiyuri asked in a whisper while the rest of the group, including Liam, continued to harass Drew about how he took so long in telling Saiyuri how he felt, "What do you think of Liam? He seems to have taken quite a liking to you!" |
Surpressing a snort, Anna curiously raises an eyebrow at Saiyuri. "I think he's gorgeous - he seems to care about you a lot; like a little sister." She wiggles her nose a little as she smiles at Saiyuri, "For real, this time - not like with Drew, I mean."
She glances at him as he's teasing Drew. "He was friendly enough, alright, though I think you're overrating the impression I left." |
