Giving him one last tender kiss, Leane sighed and took off towards where she saw Anna last. Nearing the bench, Leane hesitantly spoke, "Anna? I'm sorry I lost my temper.. I.. I misunderstood how you meant your words.. I thought you were calling me a compulsive liar, which I'm not, and I was not only offended, but hurt as well.. I'm sorry."

"Thank you for your apology..." The brunette looks up at Leane a bit oddly, as if she hadn't expected such an honest and open reply. Letting out a light sigh, Anna releases her legs - she'd been hugging her knees to her chest before - and stretches them out before her, turning on the bench to face Leane.

"And I'm sorry, too, for hurting you." Her forehead is wrinkled lightly, and she instinctively brings her hand up to try and rub them away. "I really hadn't meant it like that. I was admiring your resourcefulness, not judging you in any way. A lie is necessary sometimes, especially if helps you get out of trouble."

Sighing as she massaged her temple with one hand, Leane looked down at the ground, "I hate it when Fynn's right.. He told me that's what you meant.. It's just.. that's not how I took it. Given our history, I took it the wrong way, and I'm sorry. Now don't go thinking we're going to be buddy buddy, but I am going to try and get to know you and try and befriend you, if you in turn try to do the same. Deal?" Leane inquired as she held out her hand for a truce.

Taking the offered hand, Anna manages a teasing smile. "I've been trying to do that for a while now. But no matter what we do, in a lot of aspects, we're the same - and opposites. We'll keep colliding."

"As long as we continue to try and get along," she adds, pressing Leane's hand warmly before dropping it again, "I'm sure we can manage to be friends."

Clasping her hands behind her back, Leane couldn't help but offer a small smile, "It'll be one hell of a year trying, but I think we can make it. Not to mention it will make Sai happy we're not fighting and we can actually get along," she added with a laugh, "You coming to breakfast?"

Calmly, the brunette considers this, before shaking her head no and giving a light smile. "I'm a loner at times. Today seems to be one of them. I'm just going to head to class in a little while and skip breakfast. See you at lunch?"

"Sure," Leane said with a smile, "I'll let Liam know so he doesn't think I scare you off," she added with a laugh before turning and heading to the Great Hall, reaching the doors in moments.

Feeling relieved that it had just been a misunderstanding, Anna calmly rises from the bench the moment Leane dissapears back in the castle, following her in for a moment. When the Slytherin turns towards the great hall, though, Anna turns the other way, heading to either the library or the Gryffindor tower - both are possible.

Inside the Great Hall, Fynn has been sitting next to Kalli for a short while, looking over the table to pick out what he wants to eat. Though his appetite isn't usually huge; when there's food at hand, Fynn is not the type to pass it up. He doesn't initially notice his girlfriend coming in.

Wrapping her arms around Fynn gently and placing a soft kiss upon his neck, Leane whispered, "All fixed."

Sitting down next to Fynn, Leane smiled at the group, "Morning everyone."

"Mornin', love. Anna on 'er way?"

"No, not exactly. She feels like being alone right now, but everything's patched up so don't you worry," she added with a teasing wink as she piled bacon, eggs, and a couple slices of toast onto her plate.

Fynn glances at her for a moment, not really planning on pointing out that he didn't mention anything about their little spat to the rest of the group. Instead, he just follows her example and starts piling things on his place for now - adding after a moment, sort of to put Liams' mind at ease, "She does seem like the loner type."

"Patched up? Lee, wha' did ye do this time..."

"N-nothing! We simply had a misunderstanding, and I apologized for it.. Didn't Fynn tell you that's the reason Anna is skipping breakfast?"

Kalli shook her head, "No, he didn't mention anything about it.."

Josh laughed, "Jeeze Lee, can't you manage not to piss someone off for one day in your life?"

"Shut it Josh," Leane spat as she glared at him.

"Just saying," Josh said innocently as he took a bite of his toast.

Sighing, Leane propped her chin up with her palm as her elbow rested on the table, "Honestly, if it's not one thing it's another! Don't worry Liam, I apologized and Anna forgave me, she's fine. She just wanted to be alone for a little bit before class started."

"It's not Leane's fault," Fynn immediatly added, fiercely biting in a piece of toast. Chewing calmly, he waited a moment to continue, glancing at his beloved and offering her a small smile. "Like she said, it was a misunderstanding. That's never one persons fault."

Leane sighed as she ate some of her eggs before taking a sip of her orange juice, "Look, you guys, Anna and I promised each other we'd try and get along. As hard as it will be, we're going to try. So can you guys please not harass me about her anymore?"

"We're sorry, Lee," said Kalli softly as Drew, Liam, and Josh all mumbled apologies.

"It's okay.. It's just.. I'm sick of being blamed for everything.." muttered Leane as she leaned softly against Fynn and continued to eat her eggs and bacon.

"You're not blamed for everything, love," Fynn spoke softly as he kissed her forehead, his arm sneaking around her frame as she leans against him. "I know it feels that way, but you don't have to worry. Your friends know exactly who you are - and so they know what you're worth."

He glanced at the group a moment, hoping they'd chime in and help get rid of Leane's dark mood. "I told you, Anna's the devils advocate. I think it's great that you're trying to get along because Saiyuri is friends with her - but face it, we've all only known her for 4-5 days. And what do we even know about her?"
The more he was talking about it, the more Fynn realized he was on to something. Though he was still smiling at Leane, a small wrinkle appeared on his forehead, thinking it over. "Has she even mentioned anything about herself?"

Kalli nodded, "That's right Leane! We've been together since first year, we know your ups and downs, and we still love and adore you."

"Yeah Lee, so don't feel as if we blame you for everything.. we don't.. And if it seems like we do, we're really sorry," added Drew softly.

Liam, not bothering to say anything to Leane due to knowing he knew his sentiments on the situation, instead turned to Fynn with a dark look, "Wha' exac'ly are ye suggestin' MacMillan.. 'n' why d' ye keep callin' 'er th' Devil's Adv'cate?"

The look Liam gave him somewhat unnerved the other boy Fynn for a moment, but it didn't take long before Fynn returned it. "I don't mean to sound paranoid. But has there -ever- been a transfer student from Beauxbatons? I don't think so. There's just something... off about her."

In silence he looked at the group of friends, wondering if his words are making anyone remember anything. "And she's the devil's advocate," he added after finishing his round of looks, focusing back on Liam, "because she tells people the things they don't want to hear, because she figures it'll help them, even when no one asked her to do so."

"Like with calling me a pathological liar.. in a sense," said Leane softly.

Liam massaged his temple as he closed his eyes while speaking, "Why are ye so weary o' her. What has she done t' make ye be so untrustin'?"

"Well.. it is a bit strange.. Not that I think we have anything to worry about though," Kalli assured Liam, "I still think she's a sweet girl.."

"She doesn't mean anything bad," Fynn added right away, nodding lightly at Kalli to indicate that he agrees with her. "But as the saying goes - the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Like I said, I don't mean to be paranoid," the black-haired youth glanced back over at Liam, not wanting to rub the older boy the wrong way, "I'm just wondering out loud about what we -really- know about her. Why it's so important to get along."

Leane sighed as she finished her breakfast and snuggled closer to Fynn, "Because Saiyuri likes her.. and Liam's in love with her.."

"It won't do if the rest of us don't like her, when two of our own adore her," added Kalli as she finished her breakfast as well.

"And if Kal's determined to like her, I'm determined to look past her being a Gryffie as well. Can't have my girlfriend getting mad at me after all," Josh added with a wink.

"And I'm rather fond of her," added Drew, "She seems sweet and she's rather fun to be around. Besides, she's really quite helpful."

Liam sighed as he picked at his food, "'n' trust me, I know enough about 'er t' know she's not a threat.. A wee bit odd, but tha's why I love 'er so much. Just... 'ave a lit'le faith in 'er alright?"

"Yeah, alright," Fynn sighed lightly before slumping against Leane a bit, looking mostly at Liam. "I'm not saying I don't like her. But she is odd, right? That's not just me...?"

He grinned as he added, jokingly, "Then again - you loving her already is pretty weird, too."

Chucking an orange playfully at Fynn, Liam rolled his eyes playfully, "Aye, bu' wha' can I say? 'er oddities attract me. 'n' why d' ye all find 'er so bloody strange? She's really no dif'rent than Sai. A bit more outspoken perhaps, but they're really quite alike wouldn' ye say?"

When the orange came flying, Fynn dodged out of the way - causing the round fruit to hit someone on the Hufflepuff table instead. Though trying to surpress a laugh at this, the Gryffindor prefect still managed to look quite serious as he considered Liams' words.

"I suppose... though Sai is a lot less forceful."

Leane smiled as she looked up at Fynn, "Well, Sai really is forceful to a degree though.

"She's just more subtle about it," added Drew with a laugh.

"Sai will hint around but won't directly tell you what she knows. But in a sense, Anna is rather forceful," said Josh with a smile.

"But she did make us realize certain things about each other," pondered Kalli aloud before taking a drink from her goblet, "Things we really never saw or understood."

"Which is the scariest part," Fynn sighed lightly, reaching over the table to get his cup of tea, and calmly sipping it. "She's known EVERYONE only a couple of days, but she managed to read us well enough to figure out certain things. That's just scary."

Setting down his cup again, Fynn smiled down at Leane, adding, "I don't remember that forceful bit about Saiyuri, but it has been over 4 years."

Kalli blushed , "Not to mention she pushed you two together and helped Saiyuri make you see just how much you two care for each other."

"Maybe Anna's like Sai and can just sense those sort of things," offered Josh.

Looking up at Fynn, Leane placed a tender kiss upon his neck just beneath his jaw as she whispered for only his ears, "Only problem with Josh's statement, is Saiyuri became like that due to her accident. Anna doesn't have such a story, does she?" Leaning back Leane added aloud, "And Sai's not really forceful in the same way Anna is. Saiyuri simply subtly suggests things and helps us figure out our thoughts and get them in order so we can see more clearly, allowing us to figure things out for ourselves. Anna's rather blunt and forceful about it. She flatly says what she believes and will twist how we act and what we say around to suit her in her argument."
