Kaiyo tried to hide a blush, grinning. "Oh, so you think I'm pretty?" Part of her wished she brought her fans and the other part wished she bought that one from the weapon shop. She nodded, understanding his reason. She used to be shy too in her earlier years and that changed a little, though it was still hard to be alone. "Yeah I guess you will."
Kiba nodded, though seemed to get the wrong idea when she took off her yutaka. He relaxed when he saw more casual clothing underneath. Apparently he needed to clean out his mind. He nodded at her techniques, impressed with her techniques. |
"Yeah, I guess I do," he grinned back. "Gotta problem with that?" he joked. Rain hoped Kaiyo didn't mind. "I think we should see some of the other booths they have here. There's some artwork that I saw earlier that looked kinda nice. Anything else you wanna see? It's a large festival, and it's only lasting a few days," he asked.
"It's fun, especially taking down guys that think they know everything and try to take advantage of me, but it doesn't quite help for a long range attack. But at least you're one person I could possibly spar with." Then again Kiba was a swordfighter. Michiru didn't know if he did hand to hand but being a guy, he might be one to do so. |
"I guess not." Kaiyo laughed. "I don't know. I suppose we could go check out this toy booth I passed by." She shrugged. She didn't get to see everything at the festival as of yet, so she was up for most everything.
"Yeah, it's the same with sword fighting and thanks I suppose." Kiba could probably spar with her without using his sword, but he never dabbled too much in hand to hand other than basic self defense. |
"I see. Well, I feel like pickin' up a stuffed animal anyway." Rain didn't mind and he was definitely not embarrassed to buy any toys. It just added to his personality and they were just something he liked. "Anything in particular you're looking for?"
She smiled, "Hmm," and looked away. "I'm guessing you're pretty athletic then, with all the traveling and training that you do." Michiru raised an eyebrow. "That seems fun." |
Kaiyo nodded, smiling. Personally she had a bit of an affinity for toys, though not necessarily stuffed animals. She shrugged, not sure herself. "Not really, I figured I would just poke around until I found something I liked."
"I guess." Kiba could consider himself athletic, though only because of that. He did have a lazy streak within him in terms of sleeping and such. "It is, but it's hard not to stay in one town when you make good friends with someone." |
"That sounds like a good idea. Normally I'd love festivals but this year there's not much I've seen around yet. Maybe tomorrow they'll have the lake games. Do you know if they will?" Rain asked. Lake games were pretty much held every year, in the same spot Michiru wanted to dive in just earlier that night, but everyone in the community was able to participate in swimming, boating, or just plain playing around with everyone. He waited until Kaiyo would start leading themselves towards the toy booth.
"I wouldn't know. I don't know many people here and I don't travel," she admitted. "But you probably already could tell," Michiru added. She looked around. "It's too quiet here." They were a bit far from the center of the festival where all the music was. Michiru felt awkward standing with someone who was still a total and complete stranger. She didn't know what else to do in a situation like that, but it made her sort of nervous. "Sorry, I know we just left to get away from the crowd and all, too." |
"I'm not that sure, but I hope so." Kaiyo responded. It sounded fun even though she didn't participate last year. Mainly because she wasn't that good of a swimmer. She could wade in the pool, and keep herself from drowning, but she couldn't swim very quickly. She looked around before, going in the direction of the toy shop. "Come on, it's this way."
Kiba nodded. "Yeah." He usually was content with a lack of noise, but if there was more going on in the background there might be more to talk about. "It's fine, I'm feeling like it's too quiet here too." |
"All right," Rain replied. He quickly followed, while taking note of the other booths they passed by. 'I wonder what Michi's up to right now,' he thought. His little sister was still a shy person. She wouldn't know what else to do except run away from somebody instead of making friends with them. Or she probably wouldn't speak at all. His mind refocused on following Kaiyo. Rain really seemed to like her hair...
She started walking back towards the festival. "Do you think there's a fortune telling booth around here?" Michiru asked Kiba. Not that she was particularly interested in finding one, but it could be something fun to do at least. Of course there were other booths with games, and some with local artisan crafts, but she still refused to have so many material possessions. They were eventually useless if something happened and they were to get lost. |
Kaiyo looked around, wondering if Kiba had went anywhere since she last saw him. He could take care of himself, but she hoped that he would talk to her at least and have a good time doing so. She knew that not everyone liked to force small talk.
Kiba shrugged. "Maybe. I don't really believe in all that magic stuff though." He figured that he would make his own luck and that most of the fortune tellers looked like people off the streets. |
They finally arrived at the toy booth...at least he hoped this was the right one Kaiyo was looking for. "See anything you like?" he asked, while looking around the booth as well. For being a guy, he didn't seem the type to collect stuffed animals. He did so anyway, but only a few. There was a brown bear that Rain liked...and he also found Hina Matsuri dolls for Michiru. She had the family generation ones. They weren't exactly considered "heirlooms..." He stared for a bit. "Hey, Kaiyo," he called out. "What sort of dolls did you usually have for Hina Matsuri? I know it's in March but I'd like to get Michi something."
"It's good for a laugh, I guess. Never been to one before," Michiru admitted. She looked at the tent for a few moments, before walking away. "You're not even curious for a bit to see your fortune?" she asked. Michiru wasn't looking him in the face, mainly at the back of his head. Kiba looked tough, and Michi was still shy to really look at him. |
((Sorry for not posting .__. I had thought I responded to this *sweatdrop*))
When they arrived at the booth Kaiyo started to look around and shrugged. There was a kite shaped like a dragonfly that was pretty nice. She turned over to Rain, not sure. Her family had their own set of Hina Matsuri dolls that they handed down, but they weren't usually up for display. "Usually I had the more imperial ones. I guess that one would do." She pointed to do a doll that was sitting down and dressed in a creamy white. "I guess so." Kiba admitted. Maybe he would have to humor her. He turned back to look at her, sighing. "A little and if you really want to..." ((And sorry if things sound a little off. I don't know much about Hina Matsuri)) |
((Aww, I didn't even know when you posted T__T and I find out two months later? We suck XD should talk on AIM or something. Our festival isn't even Hina Matsuri yet lol, the current one is in summer, when Hina's in spring.))
"That looks nice. How much is it?" he asked the shop owner. He gave a reasonable price that Kiba accepted and paid. "Thanks, man." Rain looked to Kaiyo. "Anything you like yet?" He didn't notice the dragonfly at first, since Kaiyo was showing him the doll that was dressed in white. "I'll buy you whatever you like," he offered. He wanted to show he was sincere and a good guy. Plus, they had the whole night to talk until Kaiyo had to leave. "Yeah, I do," she admitted What was the harm in trying? Whether the guy followed her in or not, Michiru walked inside the covered tent. "Welcome, child. Did you want to look into your fortune?" an old lady asked. She looked like a shamaness. "I did, if you are available. How much?" she asked. The old lady replied. "Only 5 yen for a session." It was pretty cheap...hopefully she gave a really good reading. "Have a seat," she directed. Michiru nodded and sat down in front of the lady in the empty seat, giving her the coin. "What would you like to know, dear?" "I want to know something exciting that would change my life. Is there a special person I should be looking for, or do I have to do something? My life is pretty boring right now," she admitted. The lady had a set of tarot cards, and instructed Michiru to shuffle them. Michiru did just that and handed back the set to the lady who arranged them in some sort of weird pattern. |
