"Somewhat carefully," he said clearly.

He was nervous and he wasn't exactly sure what to say and was hoping Alec would cut in, but then again Alec wasn't on the phone. He gripped the steering wheel a bit tighter, trying not to do any damage to the car.

"Well," he said trying to think of the right words to say. "I enjoy being around you because I think... that's pointless to say right now. I'm driving. I'm sorry I'm not good at saying stuff sometimes. Just ask Alec."

Yukina sighed but she did smile."its fine ... it was stupid of me to ask when your driveing",she said lookng down at the rice."ill put you on the phone with Alec.You talk to him alot easyer.Its a guy thing ive seen alot lately",said and got up."i'll talk with you more when you get here if you want to",she said and handed the phone to Alec and takeing the rice into her room she shut the door.

Alec took the phone hesitantly. He wasn't sure why he had the phone but as soon as he put it to his ear and responded he was attacked by an onslaught of complaints.

"I'm sorry Alec but I just have to get this out of my system," Damien admitted after he'd finished his rant. It had lasted at least an hour, which Damien could manage easily and he was more than halfway back.

Yukinawas working on one of her sketches when she hert thecar pull up.She sighed and got up and heded out to greet him.She didnt know what to say to him.So she wated paitently for him by the door.

The plate of rice she had been eating was sitting on her deask untouched.Her ears perked up hereing his foot steps.

Damien had decided to keep the car a bit longer. It would be useful for him and he was considering buying a car anyways. This was a simple toyota, which was a reliable car but he would prefer something nicer. He walked faster than he expected and he tentatively opened the door. As soon as he saw her he immediately relaxed

Yukina looked at him relax and smiled at him the best she could."hey ... welcome back",she said calmly.She wanted to go over to him and hug him.But after pouring her heart out ...andstill got nothigexsept that he missed her in return,she wasnt sure what to do."as you can see eveything is judt the way it was",she said looking around the room.

Damien stood there for a moment, disappointed by the fact that she greeted him in such a cold manner, in his perspective anyways. He'd recalled what Alec had told him and finally moved forward and wrapped his arms around her. He didn't want to make her feel awkward but once he was like this he did not want to let go. He was silent and her scent was even stronger now that he was right next to her.

"I'm sorry," he said again. "I'm foolish for not telling you. I want you to come next time so I know you're safe and so that... I can be with you."

Yukina blushed darkly when he had huged her then even more whenhe told her.She smiled and huged him back.His sent was so good."its okay",she said soflt and stayed in his arms."im glad your back",she said in a happy tone.She didnt want to leave his arms either she felt so confertable so safe there and,in a way she fekt warm.

Her legs of couse felt weak but she stayed standing to her surprise.Mostly because she didnt want the momnt she was haveing with Damien to end,"im still sorry though about theway i acted ... you didnt deserve it"

"No," he responded. "I deserved it for being so held back. I'm sorry I just don't trust people as much as I used to."

He had shifted only slightly since he had first approached her. He could tell Alec was frustrated with the situation but he didn't say a word. Alec had already been absorbed into the book once again and there was no real way of draggin him out again.

Yukina smiled slightly.He was starting to open up and that was a start.Well in her books anywase."its okay ... i know what its like not to trust people.But if it helps any i do trust you even though you dont trust me all that much yet ...",she said softly.

"now ... do you want to sit down...you must want to relax afeter driveing for six hours"

"I could really stand here all day," he admitted sheepishly. "It's really no big deal."

He had eyed the couch though but he'd been sitting for the past couple of hours. He didn't want to deal with anything like moving at the moment. He smirked slightly and then leaned back slightly and looked at her face, studying it. If he had to leave for her safety he wanted to be able to remember her.

Yukina blushed lightly but smiled at him."alright",she said in a soft voice.At the momnet she had never felt more relaxed.She was more then happy that Damien was opening up to her.And her wasnt pushing her away ,well at the moment at leats.

So she enjoyed while she had the chance to.She watched him study her.Then rested her head on his chest.Its was hard and cold.But she didnte care beause she found its to be verry Confertable.She to could stay there all day.In his arms,not worried about anything.

He pulled away finally, feeling awkward after a brief moment because he realized that his friend was in the room. He ws never really transparent in front of anyone and tended to keep his guard beyond what he should. He stiffened slightly and lifted Yukina's chin to look at her.

"You're too nice for me," he said with a slight smile.

Yukina sighed slightly when he pulled away.It was good while it had lasted.She fe felt him leift her heda up and blinked at what he said."i am? ... how so?",she asked looking at him in surprise."i thought by now you would have found me to be anoying.Espeshialy after the way i had been acting over the past few days",she said not looking away from him.

When he had left she though for sure that he wasnt comeing back because of the way she had treated him.she would say hi to him here and there but other then that she stayed quit around him.She felt bad about it.Really bad.

"Well you can be annoying," he admitted sheepishly. "I can handle it though." He wasn't sure why he had said that. He knew that he was being ridiculous not paying attention to what he was actually saying. He shrugged slightly and turned around and walked towards the couch.

He sat down after a moment and leand back to stare at the ceiling. It was interesting and complex at the same time. He wanted to hide within himself at times but he was just sick of being active at the moment.

Yukina smiled."im sorry for that",she said watching him.

And there he went.Shutting her out ageain.But he had started witch was a good thing.She sat down on the window seat.Going into her bag she pulled out a sketch book and began to doodel in it.She was sketching ...Damien.She didnt know why,she just was.Then agein she hadn't relized it till she had finishe.

Blushing she riped it out and crumpeled it up.Hoping up she went into her room and tossed it in the garbage bin.She sighed.She wanted to tell Damien that she loved him ... but she was scarde that he might get scarde off.So when she felt like it was time .She would tell him.Until then she would keep that ... to herself.

Elliot's calm demeanor seemed to start to get on Damien's nerves. When Damien managed refocus on his thoughts he was surprised to discover that Teresa was occupying his thoughts. She seemed to have warned him earlier about something, it had to do with this Yukina girl who seemed to always be getting into trouble. He stood up after a moment and walked over to the sink and mechanically washed his hands. They felt dirty despite the fact that he could not get ill from any contaminants.

Yukina layed on her bed and stared up at the sealing.She was tierd.She blinked seeing her rice on the table.Sighing she went over to it and started eating it.She soon finished it and brought it out into the kitchen.She jumped slightlly seeing Damien wahing his hands.She waited patently for him to finnish up so she could wash the dish.She glanced at him every now and then.If she were ro talk to him,she wouldnt know what to sya ageain.

The silence was straining Damien but he wasn't sure what to say. Elliot was getting ready to leave already and he knew that he would have to face being alone with Yukina again. He jumped slightly when he noticed she was next to him, waiting for the sink. He immediately stopped the handwashing process, dried them and walked back to the couch.

He felt nervous, out of place, and a bit out of wack. He couldn't tell why he had been thing about Teresa and he didn't know how Yukina had scared him that much. He just sat on the couch staring at the opposite wall, trying to figure out what he would do.

Yukina watched him stop and go back to sitting on the couch.Silighingshe started washing the dish.She was getting agitated agein.She couldent do anything without him pulling away or going silent on her..He was open with the Tersea girl and Eliot.Then agein that didnt surpriser her.They were his friends for a long time ,and they were vampires so they understood him better. Sighing she went into her bed room and semi slamed the door.

She floped onto her bed and stared up at the sealing.She was exsosted so it didnt take her long to drift off to sleep.

Damien jumped slightly when he heard the door shut. It was more harsh than he had expected it to be and a wave of confusion washed over him. He wasn't quite sure what he had done or what he would have to do to make up for what he had done. He shuddered slightly as a different thought overcrowded the new one. Teresa was there somehow.

"You know Damien," she whispered into his ear. "You are far easier to control than I thought."

Damien turned to see what was behind him but no one was there. He looked perplexed and did not know what to do. Maybe he was imagining things but he wasn't sure why he would be doing that.

Yukina had been sleeping but she kept wakeing up something was bugging her.She didnt know why.She was tierd .Well more like extreamly tierd.She looked around for some asprin or something then she grumbeled when she relized she had left them in the washroom.Sighing Yukina got up and stoped at the door.She raelly shouldnt have slamed the door shut,she was just fustrated and didnt know what to do or say.Sighing she opened the door and went out.She glanved at Damien and smiled slightly as she went into the washroom.

Damien jumped again when he heard the door. He mumbled something about being lost. After he restituted himself and tried to focus on something other than what was just in front of him. He flinched after a while and glared at the wall. He stood up and walked into the bedroom and examined the window that had been broken.

Yukina grabed the asprin and had not seen Damien get up and go into her room.Yukina blinked when she didnt see Damien on the couch.She enterd her room and jumped slightly seeing Damien in there and by the window."every thing okay?",she asked a bit nervously as she set the aspin onto her dresser.

Damien turned slightly to look at her and then shook his head slightly. He was getting delusional now, he could swear he had thought he had heard Teresa talking but it was Yukina who walked through the door. He nodded though and couldn't find the words to properly describe what was going on.

"I feel like I'm... I don't know, being controlled to some extent," he admitted sheepishly but then his expression changed. "But it's probably just nothing." The tone of his voice had changed considerably and he had seemed to change a little as he spoke the last words.
