Damien sat almost perfectly still in the car, having to remind himself to look like he was living being. He was tense and watching for anyone was making him feel a bit crazed at the moment. He relaxed though when the taxi pulled to stop in front of the apartments.

Yukina had fallen alseep.But as soon as she felt the car stop she woke up and looked around."hm?",she said kindda sleepely rubbing her eyes.

Damien looked up at the apartment buildings briefly. He only glanced down to note whether or not she was awake. After shifting is weight slightly he opened the door and them waited for her to get out. He paid the driver through the window while he waited and just smiled slightly, making the driver shiver a bit, though it wasn't purposeful.

Yukina got out of the car after him.And wated.She looked up to her apartment window and blinked.She could have sworn that she saw something go by it on the inside.Maybey she was going crazzy,or just getting paranoid.She smiled at Damien when he finished paything the driver."shall we go in?",she asked heading to the front door.

Damien's head inclined slightly, a reaction he'd learned to do to fit in as a human a few months back. He nodded slightly to her question, placing his right hand gently on the small of her back to lead her forward. He had noticed something in the window of her apartment out of the corner of his eye but decided it would be best not to mention anything about it.

Yukina smiled as they enetered the building.As they walked up the stairs to her apartment she looked at him."hey Damien did you see anything thre my apartment window?",she asked.If he had seen something to it would mean that she wasn't going crazzy or wasnt paranoid.And if he did see something he might know just what the heck it was.

"I may have seen a movement, but there is a chance it was just a breeze. Do you remember if you left the window open or not?" he asked without looking down at her. He opened the door and waited a moment to let her in and then followed swiftly.

Yukina looked around."no it was closed and im pritty sure i locked the door"

He seemed to pause as if he were listening for something. He had heard something but he shrugged lightly as if it were nothing and continued forward again.

"Well we'll just find out when we get there," he said calmly. "You lead the way."

He was guessing there was a chance it had been a companion from the past who had followed him here but he wasn't quite sure. That vampire wouldn't be desperate enough to track him down this far.

Yukina smiled at him."right",she said and walked up the stps.When she got to her door.she unlocked it and went in.Everything apeared normal.Nothing was out of the ordinary.She walked over to the couch and set her bag onto it.She then sighed."maybey it was just my imagenation",she said looking at Damien.

Damien had froze the moment the door was open. He thought he smelled something different so he investigated. There were small traces of someone who might have broken in. He picked up a note that was laying on the counter and read it quickly before sticking in his pocket.

"Are you sure the windows are all locked and closed?" he asked, tilting his head as he glanced back at her.

Yukina looked at him."i think so...",she said and looked into her room.The window in there was closed to."hmm.."she looked at him."its locked ...",she said and headed for the bathroom.

Damien shook his head and tried to focus on what he was doing. He was still, too still to be a human, and he was beginning to be able to smell her. That one vampire he did not want to follow him.

"I think someone was here," he commented after a moment. "Check a window you rarely use."

Yukina sighed and thouha moment an dheaed to a side window and stoped seeing it open."okay thats odd".she said walking over to it."its usualy always closed",she said nervously.Then looked at him."was it a vampire?"

"Nothing to worry about," Damien assured as he walked over to her. He shut the window briskly before locking it and scanning the building across from them. He knew she was out there but she wasn't going to approach when there was another female with him.

Yukina blinked."you sure?",she asked and walked over to him.He looked in the direction he was looking."do you have to leave?",she asked as she made her way over to the couch and sat down.Something was up,that was for sure.

He caught a glint on the top of the building across the street after Yukina had left his side to sit on the couch. He nodded slightly and he could tell that the other vampire was frustrated.

"I'm not leaving..." he said though he hadn't exactly finished his sentence and he made a futile attempt to keep the tone out of his voice.

Yukina looked up at him."please tell me whats going on",she said in a soft voice."i can tell that something is up...",she said with worried eyes.

"It's nothing to worry about," Damien said with a shake of his head.

The female vampire would leave for at least a day or two before reappearing at this point. They had gotten used to these signals over a long period of time. When he was done he walked over to the couch slowly and rested his hand on top of Yukina's head.

Yukina looked up at him and sighed."alright",she said but looked out the wiindow anywase."so ...who do you think those other vampires were?",she asked thinking back to the arcade.Also she wanted to know what the one guy ment about her being Damien's pet. He most likely wouldnt tell her but it wouldnt hert to ask.

"No one of consequence," he said coolly. "It should be nothing of consequence. Don't worry."

He glanced at her for a brief moment and realized she may have been concerned about what those vampires had meant by the description of 'pet.'

Yukina blinked looking at him.Then sighed."oh ... okay",she said in a soft tone .

She then looked away when she saw the slight glare."is it okay ... if i ask you one more question? i know it must be anoying but i just need to know one thing",she said a bit nervously.She didnt want to upset him but she needed to know what the whole 'pet' thing was about.

He re-controlled himself when he noticed her reaction. He hadn't intended to be hostile at that moment but it was more likely to be in his instinct rather than in what he wanted to do.

"Ask away," he said gently.

Yukina sighed and looked at him."what did he mean by pet?",she asked softly."and please dont say its nothing like you haev been saying ... cause iwant to here some truth",she said looking at the floor.

He gave a slight chukle before shaking his head. He couldn't believe that she didn't know what the other vampire had meant by 'pet.' She apparently did not know much of what was behind the term vampire and the customs that they carried.

"There are some vampires out there who keep a human or something like a human near them at all times to do simplistic things that they could do quite easily," he responded cooly. "I used to know someone in his coven when I had those habits but I had left in search of a different vampire to exact vengeance on them."
